Stuffed New Bedford Squid, but it was stuffed with more calamari meat. Excellent!

We were in the area for work, and got some take out here. Definitely a cute spot, and busy, I'd recommend reservations. We had the baked clam app(1 piece each) and shrimp in cognac sauce app which was pretty good, and we also shared the stuffed squid app which was excellent! For our entrees we had the monk fish and dried cod. A bit bland, but definitely fresh. Maybe something got lost in translation since we didn't eat it in-house, but definitely worth a try. They also have an extensive wine list and full bar as well.

We celebrated my friend's birthday. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is great, the staff is always attentive, the atmosphere is beautiful. Thank you everyone, you made our evening unforgettable

Back again, with a couple of friends. The hospitality here matches the quality of the food - both outstanding. It's almost as if every guest feels she's pampered "more than anyone else " here! From previous visits we've established that we like the "Meandro", a red Portuguese wine that is aromatic, flavorful, full bodied and goes perfectly with our dinner choices. And it's priced well! We started with a shrimp appetizer, the mussels and the grilled fresh sardines. That was followed with the Mariscada, the Broiled Scallops, the Sautéed Tuna and a whole broiled Dourado. The dishes each come with black beans and rice. Delicious! We did make sure we left some room for dessert and this time we shared a slice of Napoleon. An excellent choice and an outstanding meal!

Always a treat to come to this fine restaurant. Love the ambiance: white linen Tableclothes and Napkins, comfortable chairs, relaxed atmosphere, and muted sounds allow for quiet conversation. Delicious bread, butter and Portuguese sausage bites immediately placed on the table. Extensive menu, yet three in our party of four enjoyed the broiled Seafood Combo - Sole, Scallops & Butterfly Shrimp* with sides of mashed potatoes, fresh broccoli and carrots, and tasty rice & beans. Our other guest ordered the Broiled Butterfly Shrimp*. The Shrimp were dry and serving them in their shell was a BIG turn-off! (If not for the shells, this review would be 5 Stars.). The Sole and Scallops were so very fresh and delicious. The desserts were all good but the Portuguese pasty tarts are outstanding! I had heard that the restaurant would be closing soon because its location had become too valuable. I was told that while true, it would be another 18 months. Get there while the gettin's good!

Solid food. Gets busy over the weekend. They offer valet service. It's like a smart casual vibe. The restaurant is spacious and the deco on the wall makes you feel like you traveled to the coast of Portugal. Lots of seafood options. Complimentary bread butter and sausage. Can't go wrong there! For apps, the portobello mushroom is a winner. The octopus salad and melon and prosciutto are also very good but the star of the appetizers was the mushroom. Entree the Mariscada is top notch. It's essentially a tomato broth filled with lots of shellfish. All dishes have generous portions. The Flan for dessert was also good. Perhaps it was a tad overcooked but solid flavor. What was unique was they had a photographer going around the tables to take photos and then they tried to sell you the photo and frame before you leave.

The restaraunt looks small from the outside but it's huge inside. It's very well decorated with Portugal contents, which was adorable. (See pic) The servers were very professional but still remained personal with us. The ambiance inside gives off vibes like the restaurants over seas which was a nice feeling. The food... we all had different feelings in regards to the food. Personally I thought my food was delicious. I had the puree of vegetable soup as an appetizer and following I had the grilled fish. All their meals comes with fries, rice and beans; which was enough for me to share with my Gf bc it was such a huge portion. My husband and one of our bf's both had steaks and they weren't too pleased as it was filled with fat. For appetizers we also tried clams casino, and melon with prosciutto. For dessert I had rice pudding one of my favorite Portuguese desserts. I would come back. **+by the way, the owner will be closing the restaraunt in two years, retiring and moving back to Portugal. If you want to try this place come before he shuts down. ***

I love the fish skin side dish! Eel was yummy(it's cold shashimi). Haven't get the chance to try the rolls. Wasabi is not spicy tho, could be better. Steam buns with melted salty yolk inside was so good, what a surprise.(Get the coconut one). Fried chicken wings were juicy inside. Beef short ribs was yummy. Steam lobsters all overcooked, what a waste & disappointed. I hope they can improve the steaming time or make it ginger scallions lobster. Steam oysters with garlic was decent. Hotpot was fun to wrap up, lamb meat was good , fatty beef way too much fat. I do like the soup base selection including sour & spicy golden soup. Not much choice for seafood, except shrimps & mini scallops. It's alright tho they do off beef stripes some fish balls. Mini scallops was good, fried shrimp was good. Oh the sticky rice with pineapple was good. Crab legs with butter were decent. Ice cream selection is poor. Hershey's icecream cups are full of chemicals yuck. Back then all Chinese buffet would serve soft icecream or real ice cream, not anymore unfortunately. Overall it's good and hope they will keep up the quality. Worth the pirce $42 per person. I can honestly say this place hasn't lost their touch. The restaurant is dark and cozy with a fireplace in the back, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or nice lunch. The servers are all well-versed in the menu items and oyster selection. The restaurant usually has some great specials that are always worth trying out. This visit was somewhat brief so we only got mains. The special of the day was swordfish. They offer the option to choose your prep style so we each got the swordfish; I tried the lemon butter sauce and my boyfriend got the red pepper sauce. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. We also shared a side of the grilled asparagus which was perfectly cooked. A solid 10/10. Highly recommended for any foodies as this place also has some fantastic non-seafood options.

I had been meaning to try Kee's Oyster House for a long time based on their high ratings, but after finally visiting last night, I left disappointed. Atmosphere The restaurant is nicely designed, yet it strangely lacks ambiance and it was half full. There was either no music playing or it was so quiet that we couldn't hear it. The atmosphere felt sterile, further emphasized by the staff. Our waiter did not introduce himself or offer a greeting; he simply asked, "Still or sparkling water?" As I observed the room, I noticed that not a single staff member offered a smile or a friendly gesture. The entire team appeared visibly unhappy, and every interaction felt purely transactional, devoid of any genuine customer service. The Good: Appetizers The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. We enjoyed both the raw oysters and the Oysters Rockefeller. The raw oysters had a perfect balance of brininess and sweetness, and the Rockefeller was cooked perfectly with a creamy spinach sauce so good that we were tempted to order a second round. The Bad: Main Entrees Unfortunately, this is where Kee's fell short. My wife ordered the salmon, and when she asked about the preparation, the waiter brusquely informed her it is only served medium-rare, offering no room for preference. When she asked what side it came with, he gave her a pretentious, disdainful look and stated that they are an à la carte restaurant. She was forced to order a $14 side of poorly constructed, bitter onions and potatoes. While the salmon itself was flavorful, a restaurant charging 6-7 times the cost of ingredients needs to provide an experience that justifies the premium. My seafood risotto was equally disappointing. The portion size was shockingly small--containing only three baby scallops and four baby shrimp. Furthermore, the dish had an overpowering "fishy" taste that forced me to use the leftover mignonette sauce from our oysters just to make it palatable.

I had the New York Sirloin which was mouthwatering It was so good that after each bite, I just sat back in my chair and savored it as I slowly chewed. After being offered a table in the center of the empty room, we asked for a window table and were seated at a four-top. Then the disorganization started: we were asked about water preference, handed a drink menu, and left for a good five minutes with no food menus while several waiters stood idle nearby. When our waiter arrived, he seemed surprised our reservation was for two, cleared the extra settings, and brought menus -- one of which was missing the appetizer page entirely. The food was hit-or-miss, mostly miss. The bright spots: an excellent mocktail, very good jumbo shrimp cocktail (nice touch serving remoulade, mignonette, and caper berries), and broccoli rabe that was legitimately the best thing on the table -- perfectly cooked, garlic and red pepper spot on. Now the rest. The Kumamoto oysters weren't served as cold as they should be, and one was fishy. My girlfriend's cocktail was mediocre. Her halibut had a mealy texture, and the gnocchi and fava beans alongside it were underseasoned. My $165 tomahawk arrived visibly overcooked -- enough that our waiter told the server to skip the usual tableside butter-basting to avoid cooking it further. I didn't send it back because my girlfriend's food was already down and I didn't want to eat alone twenty minutes later. Each slice had a half-inch gray band around the edge with only a narrow strip of medium-rare in the center. It carried an aged smell and flavor, but not the clean, nutty character of a properly dry- or wet-aged steak. For that price point, this cut should be the kitchen's signature. It wasn't close. The lobster mac was the low point: the lobster meat tasted fishy -- something I've rarely encountered anywhere -- and the dish had a dried-out crust suggesting it sat under a heat lamp before reaching us. Dessert, a lava cake, was genuinely delicious. Telling that the best course of the night was the one most likely not made in-house. Service throughout was disjointed: my empty drink was never addressed, and after dessert we sat roughly ten minutes before flagging someone down for the check. On the way out, I spoke with the two managers standing near the entrance -- making clear upfront that I wasn't seeking comps or special treatment, just giving honest feedback since I was unlikely to return. One manager simply stood and listened. The other, who introduced himself as "the boss," told me I should have spoken up during the meal, assured me they have a strong following with famous clientele, and disputed our initial wait time despite not having been in sight when it happened. Meanwhile, our waiter stood conspicuously within earshot listening to the conversation rather than tending his tables. Worth noting: we learned the same group runs Benjamin Steakhouse in Hartsdale, where I've had a similarly mediocre experience. The consistency across locations tells you this isn't an off night -- it's the standard. If you want to pay Manhattan steakhouse prices for inconsistent food and disorganized service -- with a great view -- this is your place. We won't be back.
