Came here for a birthday dinner for my partner and we had the fried calamari, scallops over risotto, and carbonara with chicken. Everything came out hot and fresh - the calamari batter was crispy and the squid was tender, and we really liked the marinara. The carbonara and the scallops were tasty, cooked nicely and portions were generous. They have BYOB, so we brought a bottle of wine and there were glasses on the table for it. Service was friendly and attentive. The space is one room in a cozy setting, but a bit tight and limited, and acoustically it's a bit loud. I made reservations for a Saturday night online about a week in advance and it took a few days to get a confirmation email. I left a voice message since I wanted to be sure we had the reservation since it was for a birthday, and did not receive a call back. While everything ended up being fine, I think their reservation system/process could be improved. Parking was pretty easy and we were able to find a spot in the alley lot behind the building. I'd return when I get a craving for some Italian and want to stay local. read more

From the time we stepped in and were greeted to the minute we left we were treated with warmth and great customer service. The meals were delicious so much, so I left my compliments to the chef. My party of 6 was completely satisfied with how accommodating and friendly the staff was and how absolutely fresh and "spot on" each dish was prepared. Appetizers: The arancini, of course, was flavorful with just the right moist texture inside and a great crisp outside. Try the burrata salad and the perfect eggplant rollatini as well! Entrees: Several of my party had the bolognese- delicious! The Chicken Marsala was quite good as well. But the star of the show was the lobster ravioli. My friends who had it could not stop raving about how well it was made. All The entrees were huge proportions and we were happy to box them up for future devouring at home. Dessert: We ordered several desserts and shared- you cannot go wrong with the cannolis (dipped in crushed pistachio!) but the blueberry cheesecake and Isa's delight were a delicious twist on Italian favs! Went for an anniversary dinner on a Saturday at 6:30pm. Restaurant was full and very lively. My wife got the scallops, one of our favorite entrees. I wanted to try something I hadn't ordered yet so I got the lamb chops...a great choice. Four lamb chops on the bone. Very lean and tender. Ordered them medium-rare and they were perfect. Lamb had a nice mild flavor...not too strong. The demi-glace sauce was delicious. Substituted risotto for the polenta . Arancini is still our favorite restaurant. The ambiance is great and the wait staff extremely attentive without rushing you. Also they don't overbook so you are typically seat quickly and aren't rushed out. Love the atmosphere. The food is honest Italian American fair, they push the envelope but you won't be disappointed if you have a hankering for chicken piccata or chicken parm. Would definitely go again. We dropped in on this quaint house front with cute tables and a view of the street. It is a BYOB so don't forget to bring a bottle of Chianti for your meal. Greeted right at the door and given a choice of table we did show up right at opening. It is a small place but at this time their was only three tables filled until 5:30 on a Wednesday night, but you may need them at a more popular time. Bread and oil came out warm and started the meal off right. I ordered the eggplant that came with spaghetti tossed in a delicious red sauce. The eggplant was cooked before and warmed, but that is always how it is done. It tasted fresh, was completely warm, lightly breaded and one of the better eggplants I have had. My wife ordered the Chicken, Broccoli, and Ziti in a white wine sauce and she loved, loved, loved it. We sat and talked and laughed for a little over an hour with delightful service. Dinner was fabulous! We started with Octopus which was delicious and a little out of our regular choices. We also had the eggplant rollatini which was loved by all. We had a party of 4 and were seated promptly at 530 . Reservations are definitely needed. The whole restaurant is small, but the owners were attentive and couldn't be any more accommodating. We had a mix of dinners, eggplant parm, spaghetti and meatballs , chicken parm and lobster ravioli. Everyone loved their choices . The BYOB is also an added value. We brought our own wine . I used to come here all the time for byob dinners when it was Sam's Kitchen, but this is the first time I've been back since Sam's Kitchen moved down the street and eventually got a liquor license. It is now called Arancini and is still byob (legal). The new owner is Brazilian, but has many years experience in restaurants, including Italian in Brazil and the US. If anything, the food is even better than it was in Sam's day. The crispy fried calamari was really well prepared. The steamed mussels were enjoyable, although not knock your socks off. The standout for me was the bolognese, which usually comes with rigatoni, but they let me swap for spaghetti. The sauce was really flavorful. I tried to get the owner to tell me which of the several famous recipes that everyone knows do they use, but no dice lol. I skipped desserts, but they looked good. The interior is small, causal, pleasant, with tables that have a decent amount of space between them. Not very loud. There are a couple of 2-tops on the sidewalk in front. Service is very good, quick and friendly. One of us had to deal with a Debby-induced flight delay and they changed our reservation and held the table for us. There are 6 or 7 parking spaces down the alley to the left and behind the restaurant (don't park in the one spot reserved for a homeowner), but there's a good chance they are full. This is a popular restaurant. Street parking isn't too hard. Well worth driving out of your way if you enjoy your own wines with your dinner (note, Woburn has some limits on the number of bottles/couple, so inquire about that). House glasses are serviceable but not particularly thin if you care (I brought my own glasses). read more

Simply put, there are not enough stars. This quaint restaurant is delicious. With few tables, plan ahead. Late Thursday night after a long day if traveling, Arancini was able to accommodate my party of 3 and it was wonderful. Albeit a little loud due to the size of the dining room and people competing to be the loudest voice (people, use your inside voice), the service and food made it worth the visit. What a dinner party! Laughter, singing & cake! There were two large reservations, one of which was celebrating two sisters' birthdays a year apart w/identical large cakes. They generously offered their delicious cake to anyone that wanted a slice. The owner's wife was there tonight. They served their guests together like a well choreographed dance. What a hidden gem. This place is so intimate and the service is stellar. The food and presentation are amazing. I had the scallops over a bed of risotto with asparagus and sweet orange peppers mixed in them drizzled with balsamic glaze. So delicious! My husband had short ribs over gnocchi in a marinara sauce with shaved parmigiana. He enjoyed the marriage of mouth watering flavors. For desert we had the tiramisu and cannoli's. Hidden gem!! I'm staying in the area and checked out yelp for dinner and came across this cute place. Had a reservation for 6:45 arrived at 6:20 and was seated right away. The restaurant is fairly small with approximately 12 tables at the most, and they clearly have a lot of regulars which speaks volumes for a small restaurant. A family restaurant and every single person there was so incredibly kind and on point. The food was one of the best I've ever had. So I went to the north end a couple months ago to treat myself to some lobster ravioli and was pretty disappointed, last night I had the lobster ravioli from this place and let me tell you, we're talking stuffed with actual lobster! Arancini is easily the best Italian I've had in the area! My boyfriend and I came to celebrate a job offer and made a reservation online. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant. It's small- about 8 other tables surrounded us- but very intimate. Our server was so kind and informative while going over the menu with us. We brought a bottle of red to split and started with the Caesar salad and the Arancini sampler. The Caesar was amazing (we loved the dressing) and the Arancini were perfectly cooked and served with the best sauce! For entrées, I got the lobster ravioli special and my boyfriend got the short rib special with polenta. Both were outstanding! I kept stealing bites of the polenta because I could not believe how amazing it tasted. Don't skip on desserts either! Isa's delight is just that- an absolute delight. On the first visit we had the Caesar salad, arancini sampler, Lobster ravioli special and the Bistecca. (All excellent - the lobster ravioli was our favorite!). They don't have a kids menu so we just asked for a small portion My partner got the short rib special with risotto, absolutely delicious, meat was so tender and risotto cooked perfectly I got the chicken broccoli ziti which comes with a light white wine butter sauce perfectly balanced with garlic and lemon. We stopped by when we were on vacation and had a great meal. The restaurant is cozy and the staff outstanding. I had chicken piccata and my husband had veal Parmesan. We split a Cesar salad. Our meals were wonderful and the protein portions rather large. My chicken and pasta had an excellent sauce that had just the right amount of lemon. Be aware parking behind the restaurant is tight, although there is on street parking nearby. We didn't need a reservation, but did call ahead, and there was a full restaurant most of the time we were there. I wish it was close to home so we could go again! read more
