This is an absolute must-visit if you're in Reno! We ordered the bibimbap, and it was incredibly delicious. I also had a cocktail that was perfectly made and very tasty. Another dish we tried was loaded fries, and it was both flavorful and very filling. Honestly, everything we ordered was excellent. The restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor seating area that looked amazing. For some reason, we ended up sitting inside, but that turned out to be a great experience as well. The atmosphere was comfortable, welcoming, and enjoyable. Our waitress was wonderful: friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. If I'm back in Reno, I would definitely come here again. The menu has so many interesting options that I'd love to explore more and try new dishes next time. Great food, great drinks, and great service - highly recommended!
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Vibes: 5/5 I really enjoyed my visit at Arario Midtown! What stood out was their service. It wasn't extremely busy, and they checked in on our table multiple times. It felt intentional and full of care. Now let's get into the food!! I got the beef Bulgogi bowl on glass noodles. It normally comes on rice, but I saw another Yelp review get the noodles and I was not disappointed! The flavor was crazy good! I definitely want to come back and try more of the menu. The indoor space has lots of seating. They also have bar seating and an outdoor patio. It's in Midtown, so the parking isn't great, be doable. During the weekend there's a paid parking lot across the street, but there's also lots of street parking.
Was recommended Arario from a Nevadian and was conveniently located across from Dearh & Taxes (cocktail bar) which is a match made in heaven. Upon walking up, the host was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. As it was mid day, they were able to accommodate us without a wait. We sat in the back dining room and had an incredible server (Janet?) who was very knowledgeable regarding GF items on the menu. With her recommendation, we got the Gambas Al Ajillo appetizer (the pickles were delicious) and teriyaki bowls (one GF with sauce on the side).
A solid 3.5 imho. The line up of fusion forward food is full of potential but the flavors just doesn't quite get there for me. The porky ribs have potential but It was too lightly drizzled when it needed to be drowned in that sweet and tangy sauce. It was also cooked rather dry on the exterior but the interior was nicely juicy and tender. The bulgogi bowl was actually spicy pork instead of beef. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. The tofu soup was solid. It hit all the right spots and was comfort food personified. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Overall, I am sure there are other items that might hit the spot and I would love to return and try a selection of entrees another time. Service was definitely top notch, Harry was the absolute best!
Location was a bit hard to find. It's on the second floor and the signs aren't very well displayed from the outside. Server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the pork bulgogi and classic bibimbap. Both were very delicious and were big portions. The bibimbap was one of the better ones I've had. The crispy egg added a bit of crunch. All the ingredients mixed together worked well and it also came with a bottle of gochujang. I just wished that there was a bit of spice to the meal. Since we came for lunch, the place was not super busy. No reservation needed as we just walked in and were seated promptly.
This family-owned restaurant truly pours care and passion into every detail -- from the thoughtfully crafted dishes to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Christine, our waitress, was so attentive and genuinely kind. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and made the entire experience feel personal and relaxed. Service like that makes a great meal even better. You can taste the love and intention in every dish. We've been multiple times and have yet to order something we didn't absolutely love. The presentation is beautiful, the flavors are bold and balanced, and it's clear the owners are committed to making sure every guest leaves happy. Arario consistently delivers not just amazing food, but an experience. Already looking forward to our next visit!
Situated above Noble Pie, Arario greets you with an indoor / outdoor ambiance, with seating on the quaint patio (with heaters) as large doors open to the restaurant proper. We started our meal with an assortment of appetizers. Starting with the Tempura Shrimp. I have to say, this is quite possibly the BEST Tempura Shrimp I have ever had. This is coming from someone that lived in the Bay Are for over 20 years, where excellent cuisine is bountiful and have been to Japan on many occasions. It was THAT good. The spring rolls followed. Equally amazing. I don't know how they are able to fry them, achieving the level of crispness and snap without a hint of oil. Magic. The filling was flavorful and fulfilling. The Potstickers were our least favorite. Its not that they were bad or anything but compared to the Tempura Shrimp, they were just "okay". In terms of main courses there was a bit of a mixed bag in terms of experiences. I ordered the Galbi. Marinated Angus Beef Short Ribs. Grilled to perfection. The Short Ribs where served with the most amazing green beans and accompanied with cubed potatoes. My wife and friend had the Beef Bulgogi. Their feedback was that the dish was "Meh". Seemed to lack a bit of flavor and my wife's dish was served not warm enough. The last main was the Teriyaki Bowl. My friend was expecting more a traditional Chicken Teriyaki dish. This was not the case. Arario serves this dish with Organic Chick Breast, prepared with mushroom, Egg, Cheddar and Jack Cheeses, topped with Aioli and Teriyaki sauces. It wasn't that the dish was bad, it was more that it was not what we were expecting. The flavors were rich and rewarding. The cheeses created a creamy richness to the texture. We ended the evening with a double order of the Macha Lava Cake. A traditional Lava Cake, topped with chocolate sauce and Macha Ice Cream and finally topped with Whipped Cream. Not a fan of Macha, I gotta say, this was the best Macha Ice Cream I have ever had. Well done Arario, well done.
We were seated quickly at the bar and the restaurant wasn't full that Saturday night at 7pm. Our server, Nico, was nice, though he seemed to try to be avoiding to give direct suggestions on dishes to try, as he kept saying it depends what you are looking for (which is both true and somewhat unhelpful). We ordered the crab tofu appetizer and the bulgogi bowl, which was supposed to be their signature dish. Overall the portions were generous particularly given the prices were reasonable as well. The crab tofu was fun and unique, though the amount of crab was vanishingly small as expected. I was a bit disappointed by the bulgogi bowl, particularly given how other reviewers spoke highly of it. It more or less was a plate of white rice, with spicy pork bulgogi mixed in with some kind of Mario sauce. The spiciness definitely had some kick which was appreciated, but the overpowering mayo was too much for me and I only ate about half the dish before I gave up and didn't take it home.
cute place up on the second floor, my table got the crab tofu appetizer which was yummy! typical korean style, they give you free banchan (side dishes) and the kimchi and cucumbers were my favorite! I ordered the garlic shrimp allegio appetizer (I'm casually keto so my options here are limited) and it was yummy but definitely overpriced. I probably wont go here again or suggest it to friends but it worked for a last min dinner plans for us.
I've been to Arario multiple times and it's always delicious. The kimchi fries are an absolute must to start with - so flavorful and perfectly done. This time I got the bulgogi bowl and it did not disappoint. Packed with perfectly spiced pork, fresh veggies, and rice, it was super satisfying. They're always busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Service has consistently been great every time I've been. One of my go-to spots!
9/29 Came with Fam for Anniversary dinner . We had reservations for a party of 8. It was pretty packed for a Monday night. Service was still excellent. I didn't get her name but she was amazing and fast. Getting our appetizers and drinks . The place was buzzing and ambiance is very cool chill. No new pics to add I forgot . We had shrimp appetizers and beef bulgogi bowls. Everyone really enjoyed there evening. This is really a great spot and always good food and service. Enjoy !!!!
I have only been to Arario twice, but it's been a magnificent experience worthy of 5 stars each time. The service here is on point. They are clearly organized and well staffed. The open kitchen also helps with accountability which I like. I love that they set you up right away with some small Asian condiments to snack on. It's always a great way to start a meal. The food here is mostly Korean but there is some Asian fusion and American fusion going on too. The Seoul cheesesteak is really good and a great twist in a classic. The kimchi fries are one of their signature dishes and are to die for. The more traditional stuff like potstickers, poke bowls, and bi bam bop are all incredible as well. I love the vibe here. It's cozy and casual but, nice enough for a date or a fancy evening out, and the extensive drink menu makes it a great appetizer or dessert only restaurant, too. I haven't had a bad time yet at Arario, and neither has anyone else I know. Go here, you won't regret it!
Came on a rainy Monday and was seated right away. The interior is very modern and decorated well. I ordered the beef bulgogi with steamed white rice. The beef was delicious and tender. I didn't understand why the bulgogi was on top of a bed of salad... didn't touch that. The side dishes (banchan) was also great. read more

I went to Arario for the first time Last Friday. I did not have a reservation so I did not mind waiting. I waited at the wine bar next to the restaurant where I was served a few drinks by Ronnie. What a great kid! Ronnie's service was a 5 star. After 30 minutes, I was seated in the restaurant. The place is very nicely decorated and the ambiance is the best. I had the Gambas Al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp) as an appetizer and for dinner the Octopus Salad. Both were incredibly delicious. For dessert I had the Chocolate Torte. So good! I loved this place. My only constructive complaint is that the menu and prices that appears in Yelp is no longer the actual menu or prices. read more
Midtown Reno is an underrated tourist evasive part of Reno that has many hidden gems along those streets. Arario is an oasis on a hot dry windy day and offers a cool, fresh shelters from the high desert. The cherry wood tables, dim fan lights and the excellent outdoor natural lights provides a very comforting dining experience. Service is prompt, friendly, reliable and sincere. We were hungry and ordered a bunch of dishes. Too many to eat in one sitting (hello leftovers!!) All in all, the quality is decent but everything is a tablespoon of sugar too sweet. Cocktails are 5/5 As for the dishes: Banchan: only four dishes but excellent (5/5) Arario Salad: healthy but dressing too sweet (4/5) Stone Pot Bibimbop (5/5) Kimchi Fries: fun (4/5) Bulgogi (3/5). I thought it wasn't savory enough and too sweet with a strange aftertaste. All in all, I enjoyed the experience here. Plenty of parking close by and the atmosphere is comfortable modern fun social. Incredible Korean fusion. Recommend Bulgogi bowl with egg, infamous Kimchee fries, Poki bowl and hefenweiser beer. Really have not been served a single meal here that was not meticulously prepared and palateable! Waitress "Jackie" is simply amazing in both astetics and service. Really the entire staff are so polite and service minded I always feel at home in their presense. The atmosphere here is cozy but not crowded. Full bar. Prices are very reasonable for this calaber experience. read more

Came in on a busy Saturday night and they had a waiting room with heaters and drink service while waiting to be seated, which was awesome! One person in our party is gluten free and they love coming here! The food is delicious and you can get any protein on any dish. Brussel sprouts, tempura shrimp, bibimbop, bulgogi pasta, teriyaki bowl and the dol-sot hot pot bibimbop were all so tasty and highly recommended by our whole table! The restaurant was moody and perfect ambiance for sharing conversation. read more
Surprised that this is my first Yelp review for Arario. I want to go there all the time. The selection of food is awesome. The service is fantastic. The drinks are great. The Ambiance is spot on. If you are looking for Korean fusion or just excellent food in general, Arario Midtown can not be beat. Wow! What a meal! Arario in midtown blew my mind! All 5 of us enjoyed our meals, appetizers and drinks. Impressive. I gotta go back and try everything. Mine was the IkaIka bowl, super flavorful...spectacular.. Prices are reasonable, especially for a trendy place in midtown. Service was spot on, friendly and efficient. Came here for dinner after a long day in the sun checking out cars during Hot August Nights. The SO also was craving bulgogi, so we ended up here! Located in midtown Reno, just down Cheney Street, Arario sits itself on the second floor of a shared building (you have to take stairs up to the front door) and serves Korean fusion cuisine. There is both outdoor and indoor seating; we ended up walking in without a reservation to sit at the bar. We ordered the following: - Kimchee fries - these were fine as we asked for the spicy sauce and kimchee on the side. Portion was a little small - Garlic soy wings - delicious crispy wings with good soy flavor - Bulgogi pasta - this was not our favorite since the cream sauce flavor drowned a lot of the sweetness that bulgogi usually is. It also had a ton of greens on top that seemed to be filler in the dish. We both liked the cheesy bread that came with this. - Japchae with beef bulgogi - we thought this would be the traditional japchae fillings with the meat, but were surprised by the greens (again). Our mistake was mixing it all in with the noodles only to find out there was kale and raw brussels sprouts (??). These two foliage altered the taste of the dish so we tried to take most of it out when we took it to-go. The banchan we received was also only ok. I liked the cucumbers and the mac salad. Confused by the fermented black beans. Nikko was our waiter as well as the bartender and he was really nice! I requested a surprise mocktail and he made a really delicious strawberry mojito. Crazy that the mocktail was just $2-3 dollars less ($12) than a cocktail with actual alcohol in it. Overall, a nice dinner, but thrown off by the amount of kale in some of the dishes we ate. read more

We stopped by for some drinks & lunch on a mellow Thursday afternoon. Started with the Porky Pops as an appetizer and shared the short rib Galbi for our main. The app was fall-off-the-bone tender, fried to a crisp and dressed in a sauce that was finger-lickin' good! I love that they provided lots of wet wipes as things got messy. The Galbi was absolutely divine--marinated and cooked to perfection and accompanied by the usual banchan. Our server Jackie was sweet and attentive. Five star experience! read more

It's hard to imagine that this place has been in the Reno area for well over 5 years now and is still as consistent if not better than the day it opened. My wife and I stopped in Saturday night and was able to get seating fairly quickly. We had kimchi fries together she had a nice piping tofu soup and I had the pork bulgogi all of which was delicious and prepared professionally. The restaurant is well lit and cozy and is on the second floor creating an almost rooftop bar vibe. All in all a great staple of Reno and would definitely recommend a visit or two read more

It is refreshing to find a restaurant in Reno that captures the essence of rich, savory, & authentic Korean flavors. High quality ingredients cooked to perfection consistently with plenty of healthy choices and a large variety of traditional & fusion Asian dishes. While the food is great, the strength of Arario is their dine-in experience. Large selection of drinks w/ a descriptive bar menu including wine & imported beers. Stylish & sleek atmosphere with lots of warm lighting; you can tell that the interior was designed with plenty of intentionality to create a cozy vibrance that you won't find in many places around town. Servers are attentive and on their A-game every single visit. Arario Midtown has indoor & outdoor seating and very reasonable prices for large servings of great food; they deserve all of the praise that they get. This restaurant is located on the second floor adjacent to a small lot that offers free parking; there is a bigger public parking lot across the street that requires payment. read more

Great place, amazing food, kick a** staff. Truly love this place and understand why it is on Yelps top 100 Restaurants! Came here for my mother's birthday and was not disappointed! Every appetizer we got - firecracker chicken, kimchi fries (an absolute must), and the crab tofu - was bomb dot com! If you aren't into spicy though, best to not get the firecracker chicken. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. I did try someone's bi-bim-bap, which I've had a lot in my travels around the world, and it was okay. Other than that, the rest of the food was very flavorful and the meat here is perfection. Best Bulgogi in town! I didn't get a photo of our desserts other than the birthday cake or what we called it, a wannabe s'more, but we got a lava cake and the blackberry (or blueberry honestly I'm not 100% sure) cheesecake. I'm not a chocolate gal but the birthday girl is and she really loved how decadent it was, literally melt in your mouth... and all over your plate. The lava cake is paired with green tea ice cream and they surprisingly go very well together! That cheesecake though..... OBSESSED. Not big on cheesecake but I can eat that one often. Pretty sure the flavor changes seasonally but don't quote me on it. Love the Asian-American-Italian fusion of this place, it is truly unique and overall wonderful restaurant to experience! I thought I had written a review YEARS ago. Apparently I did not. So here I am late in the game and writing a long overdue review. Over the years they have managed to put out a really cool mash-up of cuisines. In the heart of all their dishes is the taste of Korea with the Kimchi, beef and pork bulgogi, marinated chicken, and grilled vegetables. These are then mixed with fries, made into a burrito, covered with cheese sauce, to come up with surprising combinations that actually work well together. On my most recent visit, my loyal lunch buddy and I decided to feast from the "small plates" menu. We picked the pot stickers, shrimp tempura, and even though my friend was a bit sceptical, the Kimchee Fries. We ate avery bite. We decided this was the wonderful love child of Canadian Poutine and traditional Korean fare. We finished up our meal with a shared Chocolate Lava Bundt Cake paired with green tea ice cream. Another mixture of diverse cuisines. Service is very good. Rachel, our server, was helpful and checked on our satisfaction throughout the meal. Drinks were refilled and meals were brought out quickly. It is recommended to make a reservation. It does get really busy. I need to make a return visit and have some of the more traditional Korean fare. read more

Great Korean fusion spot! My absolute favorite random thing there was the kimchi fries. This is one of those places where I would love to try everything on the menu. We had the pleasure of dining at Arario Midtown last night: my sister and her family, and I, along with my cousin and her family to celebrate my cousin's son's college graduation from UNR. We had a reservation at 6pm for eight people which was fortunate because when we arrived at the restaurant, it was already fairly crowded. As soon as we were seated, our server (Cadie I think she said her name was) appeared to take our drink and appetizer orders; then came back to take our entree orders. The process was very quick and efficient; our food orders were delivered quickly with very little wait time. For appetizers, we ordered shrimp tempura, potstickers and porky pops (half in sweet & spicy K sauce and half in soy garlic sauce). For our entrees we ordered chicken wings in soy garlic sauce, spicy pork bulgogi bowl, teriyaki bowl, japchae, S.C.S.S. (Seoul Cheese Steak Sandwich), beef bulgogi bowl, bulgogi pasta and the classic beef bulgogi. When the food arrived, the portions were plentiful, enough to share or for leftovers. Everyone ate their fill and sampled each other's dishes too; the pork bulgogi eventually got too spicy for me to continue eating, thankfully there were a bunch on banchan to cut the heat; the pickled cucumbers were a God send. I tried some of my niece's soy garlic chicken wings and it was pretty scrumptious with a nice, almost candied coating. I also sampled some of my cousin's japchae and wished I would have for that instead because I'm really weak when it comes to spicy food. My brother said the bulgogi meat in his bulgogi pasta was a bit bland plus my sister found her meal unexceptional. Overall, I thought the food was pretty good, the prices were a bit higher than other eateries in town but the service was prompt and friendly enough. The restaurant was a bit snug; it's surprising how many people could fit in such a small area. I did find it a little difficult to carry a conversation with the person sitting at the end of our table; I had to make do with talking with the person sitting next to me or across from me. But in general, I think everyone had a fairly nice dining experience, I wouldn't mind going back again to have the japchae and wings again, or try the "IkaIka bowl" (which is their version if a Loco Moco and was my secondary entree choice); besides, it's always good to support local businesses. The only downside to this dining experience (by no means the restaurant's fault) was that parking was a bit difficult to find in that area; we drove up and down Center and South Virginia Street three times before we found a parking spot within walking distance to the restaurant. Met our good friends here. Quality/Quantity - Today we got the following: Kimchee Fries - This was good, but not spicy at all. Chicken Wings - We ordered 1/2 and 1/2 and the chicken came in various sizes, not consistent. There were only approximately 6 pieces, 3 of each flavor. So with 4 people, I was only able to try the Sweet N Spicy one. It was okay. I would prefer a more crispy skin, but it was still good. Two Poke Bowls - Both wives got the same dish. My wife finished all of hers, so it must have been good. I did get one small bite and it was okay. Looked like good proportions and it was well plated; see picture. TeriQ Burger - My friend was only able to eat 1/2 of his entree. 1/2 lb of meat is a lot for us. He is a regular here and this is one of his favorite dishes. Spicy Squid - Not spicy at all. Overall good. Had a lot of veggies, which is good for me. Decent amount of squid. Cooked well, tender. And of course, I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to compliment my dish. Banchan - 4 dishes, I tried a little of everything. But as a light eater, I was already so full with the appetizers and my entree. Atmosphere - Good size location. Indoor/outdoor seating. Table, booth, bar, etc. Open 6 days a week, closed Tuesdays. Open from 11am to 9pm everyday except Sundays, which they will open at 3pm. Street parking, good luck. Our friends got lucky and got a space right in the back of the restaurant. Restrooms downstairs and you need a code, see picture. Service - Good. She was extremely patient with us. We had a 3 hour dinner, so nice to catch up with our friends that we do not get to see often. Price - $130 + very generous tips. Our friends tried to pay, but we settled on splitting the check 50/50. This is one of my top 3 overall places in Reno. The food is great, I got the pork bulgogi most recently. You get a lot of food and flavors from it so it's very filling. The servers are very friendly and prompt which is always an added benefit to a restaurant. Midtown is usually a tough place to get good parking but this restaurant has much more abundance as well as a paid lot across the street which gives it more accessibility. It is in a nice upstairs location and coupled with an expensive bar and a lot of options. I would recommend trying some sake when you go. read more
On a trip to Reno, this place was high on my must-try list. Finding it was a little tricky, as it is on the second floor and lacks clear lineage to go upstairs. But shout-out to the employee at the wine bar immediately below it, as they point us in the right direction. Went on a Friday for lunch, and was nearly empty and easy to get seated. Paid lot across the street. I love Korean food, and the menu was very expensive of fusion and traditional Korean items, along with a fantastic drink menu. Grabbed the Bora Bora, which was very well balanced in flavor and alcohol. Absolutely would order again. Meal started with brussell sprouts - amazing and the best item we ate. I was happy they served ban chan, but was curious on the untraditional black beans. Rest were average/typical. I had the galbi burger with a fried egg, and upgraded the side to kimchi fries. The galbi burger was massive and filled with meat and toppings, but the meat patty had no seasoning or obvious marinade. Minus the mayo/creamy sauce, it was a pretty tasteless burger. The kimchi fries were tasty, but perhaps had more sauce than I would have preferred, which made the bottom fries a bit too rich. The highlight was our server. She walked us through the menu, and also followed up with us throughout, making sure that we were cared for. She had even asked if my burger had the egg, found out it didn't, then immediately took it to the kitchen without me asking. I will go again to try the other items, but unless the burger recipe was shifted, I'd recommend avoiding that item. read more
Super cute place definitely mid town vibes with hip and spunk a must try place forsure!! Service is wonderful! Kimchi fries are good as well as the Gambas ajillo yum. Besides the fact that we were just sitting finishing up and the hostess wanted say" I'm really glad you guys are having a good time but I really need this table, no rush though" and we could move tables ending out experience here a bit rudely. We were not sitting there for even an hour yet. Sucky on that part but our server Amy wonderful. read more
