This is my first trying this place. We called ahead to order and the man on the phone was very nice. We got 3 orders of quesabirria tacos and he told us it would be about 15-20 minutes to prepare. We paid when we came to pickup (they accept card) and the cashier confirmed our order and asked if we wanted any sauces before letting us know it would be another few minutes. Everything was packaged nicely in a plastic bag with some napkins and a cup hold for the 3 consome. Each plate comes with 3 tacos and 1 cup of consome. The taste was not the best I had but it's not bad. Meat was tender, but there was bit of fat. Cheese was good, diced onions were fresh and juicy, tortilla was crunchy. I like that it came with a lot of different sauces (red, orange, and salsa verde). I wish it came with some limes and the consome could have been hotter. Don't leave the plate with foil for too long or the taco will get soggy. I think the price increased since last year. The total was about $48. The truck seemed clean and well lit. I would not go out of my way to come here because of the price. I have had better birria tacos in San Jose for a cheaper price.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. If you're looking for good birria tacos in San Jose at a great price this is your spot! I found this place on yelp after looking at another place that sold 3 tacos for $20!! I came hoping to get something cheaper and more authentic and omg the tacos were so delicious! I had to wait about 20 mins for 8 tacos and rice and beans but I was happy to wait because I knew my food was being made fresh. The tacos came out piping hot and delicious. The consume was so tasty and warm. Their salsas are also super good, but beware their spicy one is soooo hot! After posting a video of my tacos on Instagram so many people asked me where they were from because they looked so good. Also, the owner who took my order was so nice which make the whole experience even better. Even tho they are a food truck they take card so you don't need cash. I don't think I'll ever go to any other Mexican spot again. Support small businesses and come here for authentic, fresh, delicious food!!

Hey , quick review on this food truck. Got 2 super burritos $10.50 each, carne asada and tripas , I received what it looked like regular burritos and both were asada , and two tacos for $2.80 each they should of called them a dólar la mordida, two small bites it took to finish it poor quality meat and over priced for what it is. Si quiere poner un negocio primo ponga uno bueno por que esto es basura...

Finally got to try it! Parked in the Valero parking lot on the corner or Capitol and Snell. Opened a little late, but the owners texted us until we found the truck! I got the quesa taco! So good! Ordered 4. Lasted 2 meals. It is loaded with beef and cheese. We also got a carnitas burrito for $8. It was HUGE! I loved the green salsa that was thinner. There's another green one that's creamy, but we did not care for it.

Came on a Monday at 4:50, called ten minutes before because so many places have been closed due to Covid. I've been craving Birria Tacos for a week or two now and it was time to splurgeee. This taco truck is parked in the Vallero parking lot(Capitol expressway & Snell)- currently only taking Togo orders. So call ahead or put your order in at the window and relax in your car until it's ready bc it has been HOT in SJ. I ordered thru phone ten minutes before arriving and when I got their we paid about 18$(credit card accepted) and waited about another ten minutes since there was an order ahead of us. We got three tacos and three quesabirrias, but we should have gotten 4-5 of each since they were so good!! Our order came with a cup of consume, the broth that comes with the slow braised/stewed birria for dipping and it was so flavorful and delish- 5 stars! One of my highlights of the week. A hidden birria taco truck that's open 6 days of the week. I can't wait to come back and get more quesabirrias! And maybe try something else on the menu.. Maybe. Until next time!

I tried the quesabirria tacos and they were crunchy and the meat was soft and well seasoned. The order came with green salsa, red salsa, orange sauce, lime, and a cup of consome. The cup is on the small side but I found it to be enough for my 3 tacos, but you could ask for more if you prefer.

Was just driving by and decided to stop by here to get some birria tacos and OMG they are delicious! Totally recommend them! Thanks for the deliciousness

This was our first time trying quesabirria tacos and they were delicious! The tacos have a nice crunchy fried shell, juicy tender meat, and soft cheese. Each bite of taco had a nice ratio of meat and cheese. The consomé was a rich salty broth that was a great pairing to the quesabirria tacos. The horchata was sweet and ricey, without any grainy texture. The guy taking our order gave us all the salsas to try, which was awesome. Overall, we're definitely coming back!

The best quesabirria tacos I've had! They were very, very fresh, took Apple Pay, and had both beef and goat birria tacos. I definitely recommend this hole-in-the-wall truck stand.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

The service is not the best and you have to try hard to catch the servers attention. The food was better this time, but not as good as many other Mexican restaurants. It is not what I consider authentic Mexican food.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

The staff were attentive, gave great menu recommendations, and constantly came by to refill our water. Very spacious dining room. We started with the Queso Fundido, served on a small hot plate with chilis, garlic, and oil on top. It's basically a block of cheese served with chips. Even with the hot plate, it didn't stay gooey for long, but it was a pretty good starter. The Coconut Campachano was creamy and refreshing. It also came with chips, though ours seemed like crumbs from the bottom of the barrel. We got the Trompo tacos and Sautéed Shrimp tacos. Both were tasty, and the tortillas seemed fresh. My wife is Latina, so we're pretty familiar with authentic Latin/Mexican flavors, and from the moment we walked in, we were a little unsure of what to expect. We completely understand we're in Willow Glen and that Copita is going for a more upscale take, but for us, authenticity and flavor still have to be at the heart of the experience. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her service. However, when we asked about the style of the food, there seemed to be a little hesitation in explaining it, which made us even more uncertain about what we had gotten ourselves into. I don't like bashing restaurants or their food, so I'll simply say that, unfortunately, the highlight of our meal was the chips and salsa. The cocktails, on the other hand, were good and definitely not shy on the alcohol! Also, don't expect large portions. The restaurant is clearly aiming for a more upscale presentation and experience, so the plates reflect that. Overall, Copita just wasn't for us. This was our first visit and unfortunately will probably be our last. I genuinely wish them success, but I think a few changes, especially when it comes to the flavors and authenticity of the food could make a big difference.

Our waitress accidentally thought we had only ordered six tacos instead of twelve, so we initially received six tacos, one side of rice and beans, and were still waiting on our drinks.
