This Arby's is connected to the truck stop and very small. It's managed by the hospitality company that also runs the truck stop. The drive thru, despite being all lit up informed us through an automated recording when we pulled up to order that it was closed. This was a Friday night at 8:30PM and right off 2 major highways! The staff was so unfriendly...no greeting or communication with the customers just a blank stare. To boot it was over $18 for 2 orders of mozzarella sticks and 2 fries. The fries were not even full, nor hot. The place is not that clean either. This place is not good.

Service was average but they got our big order correct! Our favorite was the smoke house brisket sandwich and loaded curly fries. Our least favorite was the Buffalo chicken. The meat tasted better than usually fast food and we didn't feel horrible after eating it. We felt that we could probably go the rest of our lives without eating it again, but it was worth trying for the first time !

    A chicken tender with hair

Today I had gotten Arby's because I was driving for a while and needed a snack. When I got there I went to the drive through and the lady seemed very rude. I asked for a chicken tenders and when I received my order I was about to take a bite but I saw a hair in my food. I would like to say I'm not proud of my visit.

    So burnt

I waited 45 minutes in their drive thru for cold half wrapped food and burnt fries. Do not waste your time.

1 piece of bacon ripped in half. Dried up thin piece of chicken and dried cheese and few onion straws. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!

Regularly this location forgets to bag the drinks when you order. Normally we will catch this but being that we had it delivered today there was no chance. Its honestly not that hard to check the slip and see what needs to be bagged but they manage to regularly forget the drinks. Food was correct at least and was your typical McDonalds quality, nothing special but not terrible.

OVERHYPED, FADDISH CHICKEN SANDWICH REVIEW: So, the "sandwich wars" of 2020…read moreCarry over into 2021. Insert hackneyed "2020 sucks" follow-up quip here. Getting to the point: the latest chicken sandwich from McDonald's doesn't hold a candle to the superior offerings from Popeyes, Chick-fil-a, et al. Its bun smelled nice in the bag, but tasted the usual "McDonald's stale" and lacked flavor. The chicken patty wasn't as large as advertised, and didn't taste any different from their previous iteration, the "southern style chicken sandwich." Photos of that failure were previously posted here by me. There was no butter on the bun. Even the pickles had no snap, as if they too were over the hill before making it to their coming out ball. Perhaps the spicy iteration is somehow different? I doubt it. Cost was $3.89 for the sandwich only. I'd pony up the extra 10 cents and find a Popeyes if you want a palatable, even tasty chicken sandwich. Otherwise, settle for a different McDonald's staple that they execute with more experience and precision. For some of us, every dime counts. The disappointment rendered by McDonald's failing to fulfill the potential within this latest menu item cannot be given a price. The hit to your wallet, waistline and psyche simply isn't worth it.

This Friday I found myself at a Raising Cane's in Burlington, New Jersey, which as far as I know…read morehas never been the setting for any great epics, unless you count the war between people who like coleslaw and people who don't. I was there with my son. He had just finished his volunteer work, and we were both hungry. Hunger makes philosophers of us all. I had read the reviews. Many of them said things like "the service is terrible" and "this place is a mess" and "the toast was a war crime." These people must have been living in a parallel dimension, because what we experienced was very nearly delightful. My son got the Box Combo. That's four chicken fingers, a pile of fries, a slab of Texas toast, a little dish of coleslaw, and a drink. He chose sweet tea because he's no fool. He told me beforehand he didn't want the slaw. Kids these days. So I took it. I'm the father. That's what we do. He liked it all. Said the chicken was hot and tender inside. The Texas toast got a nod of approval. That means a lot from a kid who does not pull punches when it comes to food. I got the Three Finger Combo. Fewer fingers but still enough to remind you that you're alive. Fries, toast, sweet tea. No frills, just hot food done well. When the food came up, someone shouted "Hot fresh chicken for Jerry!" They weren't lying. That chicken was blistering. Had to let it cool for a minute or two before my mouth could handle it. Once I did, I found it juicy and delicious. People speak of Cane's Sauce like it's the nectar of gods. I found it fine. Not worth composing sonnets over, but pleasant. The chicken pieces were a bit on the smaller side. That's not a complaint. Quality over quantity, folks. Give me a smaller thing done well over a big one done half-heartedly any day. The slaw was cold and creamy and fresh. I liked it. It's the kind I like, chunky, not obliterated into tiny pieces. No one will write a song about it, but I'd eat it again. The sweet tea was sweet tea. You know what that means. If you don't, move south for a summer and you'll learn. The service was excellent. I mean it. The woman who seemed to be in charge was sharp and kind. She took our order and later came by while we were eating, asking if everything was good. It was. That kind of check-in might not seem like much, but it reminded me that humans are still out here trying. The dining room was clean. It was well-lit. It was also about five degrees colder than the surface of the moon. My son and I sat there with goosebumps on our arms like it was some sort of poultry-themed Arctic expedition. Still, I'd come back. I'd even bring a sweater. Sometimes good chicken and good company are enough to make you forget the cold. Almost.
