I'm pretty much a Arby's fan, love the slogan "WE HAVE THE MEAT" however, I tried the steak bites and it was worthy of a negative 5 star. This is absolutely the worst rendition of steak I've ever tasted. To be fair & honest it did taste like jerky but nothing like pieces of steak. How on earth did this get out of R & D? The manager of this location should be fired, although Arby's will be out of business soon anyways. I went through the drive-thru and loudly asked if the guy could tell me in what quantities the steak nuggets are served. He sharply yelled "I can barely hear you, please speak up". So, I asked again, louder. His response: "I believe the board says bla and bla". I told him I couldn't read the quantities (as the boards are written in font size -6). HIs response to that: "I'm sorry for your eyes". What kind of "manager" responds like that? I know, it's a redundant question...the answer is a manager at a fast food restaurant. I have not been to an Arby's since Reagan was president. I do not know why. I saw some coupons in the paper and recalled the delicious Market Fresh sandwiches from the 80s. Had to have some. Although they got my order right, something that rarely happens around here, the experience was lies than pleasant. The drive- thru cashier, Mike, was singularly surly. Neither the order taker nor Mike bothered to tell me the total for my order. When I pulled up to the pick up window I said hello to Mike. He shot me a look of combined disdain and dislike. He took the cash from my hand without saying a word, just that look. He handed me change and I said, "Thank you." Again, not a sound from Mike but he did manage to give me another nasty look. Passing the bag more or less through the window, he couldn't even be bothered to glance at me. Apparently I was dismissed. I got a mailer with some coupons for arby's, one was for a buy one get one free sandwich. I hadn't been to arby's in 10 years, but fondly remember they have tasty food. We got two Americana beef sandwiches and two curly fries. Drove 5 minutes home. Feel robbed. With the coupon I "only" paid $5.70 for one of the sandwiches. All of our food was cold. Sandwiches did not look anything like the picture, i'm pretty sure they were stepped on or thrown full pelt at the wall. They were about a quarter of the height of the sandwiches in the picture, no lettuce and apparently Arby's has the meats because they didn't give us much of it. The medium curly fries were stone cold and a very meager 'medium' portions with a mix of crinkle cut fries and fingernail size curly scraps, i got three proper curly fries. I ate it, I was hungry. It didn't hit the spot and I can definitely make a better roast beef sandwich so I won't be giving them my business again. No idea how on earth they ate still in business. read more

the manager and employee who was working on window were extremely rude. i placed an order for the new brown sugar bacon blt, with no mayo or tomato, and my order had it on there still. i checked before we pulled away, and politely told them that i ordered it without it. they asked to see the receipt, i handed it to them, they said it didn't have it listed on there. so i then started to tell them it says it on my mobile order. she said she was going to grab her manager. as soon as she got to the window i told her that my mobile order had those to not be included on it, she said very rudely back she can't remake it for me. i even showed her proof of my order confirmation. she said fine f it i'll do it. walked away, remade it, and slammed the window shut. when we were pulling away i checked, and she put mayo on it again. i didn't go back because i felt so uncomfortable and knew it wouldn't be safe to go back to ask for it to be made correct. if my order was not made correctly from what i ordered, why were they trying to deny my order being remade?? the customer service there is absolutely awful. read more

I've never been keen on fast food places. Had not been to an Arby's in twenty years. But, the other day a coworker was telling me about the cod fish sandwich that they have right now. He said it was a righteous piece of cod. And explained that there is a 2 for $4 special price going on. Ok, I just had to rush out and give it a try. I scooped up hubs and off we went making our way to the drive through. There I found the current menu to be intriging. Much improved over what I remember. They now have salads and gluten free selections. I made a mental note to go back and try some of the new items. We tabbed out at $6.36 for two sandwichs and curley fries. The sandwich was good. A huge piece of cod, cooked flaky in a light batter and tasty. The curley fries were crispy, non-greasy and had a lot of seasoning. The check out staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful. I guess you rate things not for what they could be, but for what they are. If that's the case, Arby's OK. Nothing special, just OK. I tend to gravitate to the cheap stuff when I go for fast food, so I get what I deserve. For about $6 I came away with a shake, a soda, 2 ham & cheese sandwiches, 1 roast beef, and an order of curly fries. Sure the sandwiches were small and just had a small amount of meat, but a little Arby's sauce, a little Horsey sauce and me and my so had a reasonable lunch. I don't really recommend it for gourmet diners, but sometimes, you just want something different than a cheap hamburger when you're on the go. read more

Stopped by Arby's to get a quick dinner before getting groceries. Saw that they had the new Handcrafted Shakes featuring real Ghirardelli chocolate, and ordered that with a crispy chicken sandwich. The shake came right away, and it was outstanding. The chicken sandwich (normally I get the roast beef) was taking longer, so they let me know it would be a minute. After a short wait, they brought my food out with a free order of expertly cooked curly fries because of the delay! This is one of the best Arby's in the area, and this typifies why. Yes, it is fast food, but taking the time to cook things right, and making customers feel valued for their business makes me a loyal patron! I've eaten at this location several times over the last couple years and the food has always been just fine. Staff is always nice but this building needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. Worn out and kind of dirty. Today was the first time I was grossed out. Several ants running around on the window sill and probably a dozen or so squished on the floor from people stepping on them. This is not a random ant that worked its way inside from the outdoors...there's a problem there that needs to be addressed ASAP. While I've always considered Arby's to be a little pricy, their food is fairly good quality, at least as fast food restaurants go. I recently went to this location for a late morning lunch on a Friday. I got a roast beef and cheddar sandwich, cheese sticks (way better than the new McDonald's knock-off attempt at cheese sticks), and a chocolate turnover. The food was not great, but I had no complaints. The service was even better. The atmosphere was friendly and the cashier, an elderly lady named Dorene, seemed to be acquainted with several of the customers and was making friendly conversation with everyone. This did not significantly slow down the service. Even when one of the employees made a mistake in filling an order, the error was corrected immediately. The workers were not there just to collect a paycheck, but rather appeared to be interested in doing a good job. As I left, I passed the 'Ring if your service was excellent' bell. I made the mistake of returning to this place the other day. ATTENTION YPSI: eat here at your own risk! However the food is not usually bad, unless you get sliders and they come out cold. I didn't create a yelp account to complain about the food however. BOTH(2/2) times I was in the arbys on Washtenaw I was witness firsthand to a disgusting abuse of power and a very clear lack of respect for anybody that was in the building. I'm talking of course about the management. I saw not once, but 5 times, the crazy lady in charge throw(overhand) food at people in the back because it was made wrong. Threw it-- with insidious intention. I've seen and heard this woman berate and belittle the people that work there. I've never seen a grown woman, let alone somebody who is supposed to set an example act this way. The employees were visibly shaken. I was so by this behavior I have vowed to never return. I tell everybody that will listen to me these stories and more often than not, they have a story of their own. This is unacceptable. It is disgusting.
