My family and I have been regular customers at Chronic Tacos and have always enjoyed coming here, but after my recent experience, we will not be returning. The issue wasn't the pricing--it was the customer service. One of the younger employees was extremely sarcastic and condescending when I asked about the happy hour pricing. He explained that he couldn't honor the happy hour price because the system had already changed over to the regular pricing, which I understood. However, instead of handling the situation professionally, he immediately responded with, "Do you want the food or not, man?" That level of disrespect toward a paying customer is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, as I was leaving, the employee appeared to be laughing about the interaction. It was unprofessional and left a very negative impression. Customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately this experience outweighed any positive experiences we've had in the past. If this is the way customers are treated, I can't justify coming back or recommending this location to others. read more

Great casual spot for lunch or a date. You cant go wrong with tacos and a beer. They have a small selection of beer and seltzer on tap. The tacos and proteins are fresh and flavorful here but the fiah and the shrimp are especially killer. I also love that you can taste the marinade and pineapple in the al pastor. read more

I was delighted by the ambience of this restaurant. Upon entering it was very spacious, with high vaulted ceilings, good lighting, great seating and many flat screen TVs. I also noticed a self serve draft beer station and a beautiful mural that I appreciated. As a first time visitor, I first approached the cash register to place my order. It turns out you order first then pay once they've prepared your food and you've selected all your toppings. Today, I tried their carne asada fries. The carne asada was delicious however I would've liked if the staff put more meat on the fries. One small scoop of meat was not satisfactory. The lettuce also appeared a bit wilted. Price wise, I would say they are equivalent to most other Mexican food restaurants. My husband and I were the only customers at the time we arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I've been here twice recently, and both visits have been outstanding. The staff has been incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful--exactly the kind of service that makes you want to keep coming back. The food has also been consistently excellent: fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. I especially want to recognize Ezra, a young gentleman on the team, who truly went above and beyond during my last visit. His high energy, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. Ezra clearly takes pride in his work, and it shows--he absolutely deserves to be recognized. As someone who's plant-based, I also really appreciate the switch from Beyond to Impossible. It's a welcome upgrade, and it's great to see a place that puts real thought into their vegan options. I noticed that the serving size was different when I ordered the bowlrito--it was only about 6-7 plastic spoons of rice. I mentioned it to the staff, but there was no response. I ended up buying another bowlrito because the first one really wasn't enough. Is this a strategy to make customers buy more and spend more? Come on! I had a carne asada taco (meat was to thick) and the Al-Pastor had so much pineapple it was way too sweet. The worse part was the rice. It was undercooked and seemed to be a day or so old (hard). CT is my pitstop when I'm walking around town - ie; from Sprouts, to the Joint Chiropractic, CT is right next door. The restaurant is always wonderfully clean and shiny. I usually prefer the wonderful patio seating - it was sprinkling a tad today. Orphelia was there today. I ordered the burrito bowl w/ a tortilla in the bottom to catch all of the fixings: refried beans, cheese, chicken, fresh cilantro and onion. I've never been disappointed. Looks like they're catering an event. The aroma of the food was lingering. A large stack of closed, filled, foil containers was awaiting a customer for an event. Chronic Tacos is a loving gift to your taste buds. I came here and ordered their Al Pastor burrito and a Mexican Coke yesterday. It was an amazing experience. The marinate they use has this delicious, flavorful smokey taste, which permeates the burrito. Wow. All their non-specialty tacos and burrito start at $8.99 (see Menu). This place recently opened. There didn't seem to be a grand opening unless maybe we missed it?! We had been looking forward to this place opening because we LOVE tacos!! This place is located in a new shopping center that has a nail salon, Starbucks and a few other businesses across from a new hotel. I hope the parking expands soon because sometimes there's no parking. The first time we went it felt like the business was barely getting its groove. To be honest, the food was okay. We decided to give them another chance and the food tasted better. We tried a burrito, a fish, a shrimp and potato tacos. I honestly go now for the potato tacos. Simple yet delicious, and of course, they have Taco Tuesday! There's a few more items we'd like to try so we'll be back for more. They aren't inexpensive, but you should give them a try. They also have a few big screen TVs so it's a good place to check out to watch some games while your partner gets a mani and pedi next door :) read more

The self serve beer taps were cool but even that was more of a pain in the a-- than it was worth. Fortunately the tacos were amazing. The Al pastor was flavorful, fresh and loaded with goodies on a nice 6" or so tortilla. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the burrito was on point. Our first experience was chronically good because of Ivan. He was very courteous and did a great job preparing our food and ringing us up. I felt that his co workers should have been helping with the transaction but instead were in the next room in what seemed to be trying to avoid the work. I felt that it wasn't fair to him. Any how he was very nice and we will definitely come around again. The food also tasted very good, so he did very well with that too. He said it would have been better if it wasn't cold & they weren't so cheap on the carne.. cheese was not melted or warm, at all & tortilla was cold too. I have mixed reactions here. Love the name, love the branding. First, the computer system seems complicated. I wanted 3 different tacos and it took the cashier farntoo long to key that in. Second, the way the line was setup was wierd. Itw setup like a chipotle where it looks like you're going to flow down the assembly line but no, everything happens at the cashier and then it backs up. Third, my food took a long time to make. And the girl was really nice about it and I wasn't even mad. It's just that I believe management needs to take a look at the above 3 and figure that out. When I got home, my foidnwas well packed and still warm. The breakfast chorizo taco had WAY too much grease. I couldn't finish it. The chicken taco (street style on corn tortilla with cheese) was good. Typical flavor nothing extraordinary. The fish taco (street style on flour with cheese) was really good tho. I wished I'd gotten it a different style tho because it would have been even better. Queso and chips and hot salsa was fine. Not too bad. The churro bites were good. Thry were a bit overcooked. The outside was a bit hard. Taste was there though. When I come to this type of establishment, I want good tasting food, I want it to be convenient and I want it to be service with a smile. They got the attitude right, they just need to speed everything up. The food needs a little bit of a tweak I feel like they're new and just need to figure a few things out. We purchased a burrito to share and it was honestly really good. I think their rating is based off of online ordering as a person came in letting them know they missed adding guac.
