A 1/2 star review. I went in this afternoon for a manicure and eye brow wax. The nail technician who did my manicure was not particularly friendly. It was one of the fastest manicures I've ever gotten. I felt like we were on a clock and a timer was about to go off. The manicure itself, was fair. After my manicure we went down stairs for my eye brow wax. Again, it was as if it was a raise. In and out in twenty five minutes. This counts waiting for my nails to dry. read more

went here with my mom for UV gel. they burned my mom's nailbed with the glue and tips. Lady yelled at my mom once she informed them her nailbed was hurting. I returned 2 weeks later to remove my nails, it took almost 1.5 hours and I as charged $32. halfway thru the removal she claimed she was done and that I was good to go....with half of the tip still on my nails. read more

I got a matching pink gel manicure and pedicure and both were poorly done. They forgot to put the top coat on my toes, and immediately after I got home, they began turning this gross yellow color. (For reference, my toes should have been the same color as my fingers.) I would have gone in to have them fixed, but I was leaving for vacation the next day. My finger nails also chipped on the second day. Not to mention, they destroyed my cuticles and I left with multiple fingers bloody. Would not recommend. read more

I feel bad writing this review but the service I received today was unacceptable. It my first time here I got a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure was fine but the manicure was prob the worst manicure I have ever gotten. The polish is messy, nails filed uneven and all my fingers are cut up. The best spot in the neighborhood in terms of ambiance, color choice, quality of services and experience. And, you'll never have to request a technician because they are ALL great. The one star deduction is for value, as prices here are significantly higher than anywhere else. That said, I pay it because it's a step above. I feel terrible leaving a bad review during Covid but this was simultaneously the most expensive and single worst manicure I have ever had. Paid 70+ dollars for a powder dip, which I don't mind at all. However, the technician was incredibly careless and absolutely mauled my cuticles. She made six out of my 10 fingers bleed including the middle finger on my left hand which got blood everywhere. I should have walked out but wasn't sure what to do. She was profusely apologetic and was maybe having a bad day. But to add insult to injury, the manicure which was supposed to last for three weeks ended up chipping in three days! I do not recommend this nail salon unless they start retraining their staff with proper techniques. For now, come here if you like getting injured and wasting your money. read more

This is one of the best nail salons on the UES. Shu did my nails and she is truly the Nail Doctor! I had a few broken nails well below the skin line after she repaired them you couldn't tell whatsoever even with no polish and just a shiny buff manicure. I had a regular pedicure and the 4 minute included foot massage was so good I added 10 minutes extra massage. They also use great products including essence foot booties and gloves even with regular mani/pedi. The spa manicure is decadent and an absolute treat--make sure you wear a sleeveless top bc they do a mud mask all the way up your arms! Also love that they have Zoya polishes and don't charge extra for it. I highly recommend this beautiful and very clean salon--all the girls are so lovely and kind. Relaxing spa music and a no cell phone talking policy make it super zen. It's my new regular spot! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I spent $150 for a Gel X Full set and they all fell off in less than 5 days. How does that even happen?

I walked in for Shellac and after agreeing to try powder (supposedly longer lasting) and paying $99 to end up with serious cuts on 2 fingers (switched back to shellac after she cut my first two fingers!). I haven't been to too many nail salons but I had a great experience with my girlfriend here a few weeks ago. We decided to come here because of their grand opening promotion- 10% off mani-pedis. I made a reservation for the two of us and they made sure we were seated together at all stages of the mani-pedi. They use plastic liners inside their food baths, so it's nice and clean for each person but it's pretty wasteful. I loved the food scrub as well as the calf massage with the lotion. They also put plastic gloves with lotioned fingertips in their towel heater, so when they skip the gloves onto your hands, it's nice and warm. We also received a short 1 minute shoulder massage as our fingernails were drying, so that was a pleasant surprise. I noticed that this salon's polish selection was more limited than other salons I've been to, but they did have a sizable gel polish selection. I opted for regular polish and they had the colors I was interested in so it didn't bother me too much. The manicurists were all courteous and checked in throughout to make sure the water temperature was fine, that the pressure was fine, etc. There are salons closer to me, but because my friend lives down the block from Arden and because of their opening promotion, we had a great experience here. read more

This place is so conveniently located to my workplace so I decided to give myself a pamper session. I received a full treatment of gel spa pedicure from Vera, gel powder tip from the owner, and an amazing 15 minute back rub from Vera again. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing my powder tips came out. Did not look bulbous at all and the owner was very meticulous which I appreciated. Overall, would recommend checking out this relaxing spa quality nail salon! They have some pretty nice deals. I HIGHLY recommend a massage by Vera. She has strong hands for those nasty knots yet gently soothing in areas of sensitivity. read more

I always rely on Arden Blossoms for a sleek manicure! Never went anywhere else after my first visit there. The technicians are pretty efficient and skilled. They are super clean and I think they are doing a great job complying with COVID-19 safety measures. Your temperature is taken at the door, you are asked to use hand sanitizer, and plexiglass separates you and the technician. All of their tools are also freshly sanitized. Came here the Monday before Xmas for a pedicure and to inquire about gel extensions. Ended up getting SNS with extensions and had a great experience. Two weeks later, apart from normal growth they look both natural and perfect. I did chip a piece off of my middle finder on my left hand due a freak accident with my oven, but that was completely my fault, and I was able to glue it back with drugstore nail glue to where its basically not noticeable. I been coming here every week for two years and finally decide to write a review. While everyone here is very nice and skilled Angela the partial co-owner has left me with bad taste in my mouth. First off her greedy attitude is really off putting. In the past she has charged me a difference price then my usual fee because I was not getting full pedicure but callus remover and gel mani (I am still getting service and they were close to closing time) and she decides to charge me extra $20 and tells me after my service is done. I come here for full service all the time fyi. Also they are notoriously known for making customers wait even with an appointment up to an hr and many customers can be seen frustrated. Who has time to just sit around in New York anyways ? She has denied service in the past when I am late less than 10min which most place would consider it a grace time yet they do not honor booking time. today I made an appointment with her hrs prior and came in on time and she takes a customer and just started on another person while not even acknowledging me or apologizing. It took her 40min to get to me and instead of apologies she then went to yell at me . If I wanted service with someone else I would have but she was who told me she could take me. she then goes to be really rough with me clearly can be seen she is filing very aggressively for pushing my hands around. I will not be coming back to this place. I came on a Saturday evening and was the only one there for most of the time. I started with a pedicure, which was easily the fastest and half-assed pedicure I've ever had. When I asked the nail tech to shorten/ round the nail on my big toes she just looked at me and moved on completely ignoring my request. I chose a polish that was an additional charge, which was never explained to me until i got the bill. I also got a gel manicure. When asked if would like my nails cut, I said yes. Before I could say not too short, all my nails were chopped off. She then continued to file my nails down to nothing. I specifically grew my nails out so they wouldn't be cut too short. My nails are now so short it looks like I'm a chronic nail bitter (which I'm not). For the amount of money spent, this was easily the most disappointing experience I've had.
