Run here !! So so glad that I found this on Yelp! I was looking for kind of a light lunch in the area of our hotel. I don't remember what the arepas tasted like in Colombia so I said heck yes, let's try it. We stayed at the residence inn & this place was about 5 min walk around the corner. It seems as if it was family owned. They had plenty of options. I didn't expect the arepas to be so big. They were a bit pricy but most definitely worth it! The yuca fries were so hot & fresh & the soursop drink was delicious too! It's definitely a comfort food place to check out . The service was great & they tried to keep it clean as soon as patrons left.

Yummy arepas here that are fulfilling in flavor and portion size. The Venezuelan coffee I tried was tasty. The service was good. This place has a lot to offer with its ambiance. Also tried a soursop drink which was delicious as well. The arepa was fulfilling and enough to share with someone in my opinion unless you are really hungry.

First time at Arepa Please and I absolutely loved it! We sat outside and had such a nice experience. The food was packed with flavor, portions were generous, and even though it's a little higher priced, I definitely think it's worth it. I loved getting authentic Venezuelan food, and this spot really delivered. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Seating area inside mostly caters to smaller parties, but larger tables can be found on the opposite end for groups and families

This place is so cool, the interior is sooo hip and industrial chic. I am a nonregular, regular here, any time I'm in the area I am coming to eat at Arepa Please! You should come here to explore a cuisine with Latin flavors. The drinks are so good, fresh juice offered everyday, the music is fabulous and the staff is very attentive and kind. Very good place for mild food, not too much spice and represents well here in Florida. Try it! Try something new! Puedes hablar espanol

We dined in on a weekend. We started with an order of tequeños which were good although the cheese wasn't as melty as I had thought they would be. We got a grilled chicken wrap and a domino arepa. Both came out piping hot. The arepa was generously filled and came with a delicious green sauce. The wrap was crispy and the fillings were a bit soggy but tasty. Overall we would eat here again.

Love the arepas here! I tried the beef and chicken arepas. Both delicious. They give you a green sauce and a cream sauce to add to it. Service can determine based on the day of the week and how busy this place can get. Exocet to wait longer during rush hours on the weekend. I have also tried the natural fruit juices and they do not disappoint. Staff is very friendly as well. There is plenty of seating inside but the parking situation can be a little hectic as there is only a small lot for a couple of cars. They share the lot with another business.

This little café in Riverside puts out solid food, first time visiting and was able to have one dish can't wait to have more. Very friendly and seems like a solid local place. Seems like the owners know most of the customers. Nice touch.

Over all a good experience. The service was quick and the staff was super friendly our food came out pretty quickly considering it was a Friday night. My only complaint was that the arepa was extra crispy. The chicken was HOT and the plantain was perfect. Loved all the plants and how clean the restaurant looked over all.

We went here during peak lunch time (12:30 on a Saturday) and luckily were able to snatch the last table open. There was a constant influx of people going in and out! Super cool decor and a fast paced environment. Food was amazingly good. This was my introduction to Venezuelan food and dang it was a good one!!!

When the line is out the door, you know you chose correctly! I was around the corner with friends at Zorbas rooftop bar and Debbie needed some food- empanadas on the way! I love the vibes- the huge mural outside I have admired for years, inside the art continues- I loved the painting on the far wall and the lighting to change the colors/look. The line was moderate- I probably had the smallest order with simply one beef empanada and one chicken empanada- both were so yummy and I was thrilled to see the green dip! I only took a bite of each and left it to Debbie- but super yummy- my other half would love them here! And no that I have finally made it in, I want to try more!!!

Yummy carryout lunch for a quick break with my daughter this week. So many wonderful options to choose from with fresh ingredients. I ordered the San Marcos arepa with black beans, avocado, and queso blanco. Definitely fork and knife eating but so good. We also got an order of fries to share and they were super crispy and delicious.

I've been to Salento twice now, so I feel like I got a good sense of what they have to offer…read more I started with the carne empanadas, which came with complimentary chimichurri and hot sauce. They were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and filled with flavorful meat. The sauces paired perfectly with them and made an already great appetizer even better. For my entrée, I ordered the Bandeja Paisa, and it did not disappoint. The meats were the star of the plate. Everything was juicy, cooked perfectly, and seasoned just enough without being overpowering. The steak was surprisingly tender despite being well done, with just the right amount of fat. The sausage had a great snap, the egg was perfectly jammy, and the chicharrón was absolutely incredible--crispy, crunchy, and easily one of the best I've had. I didn't try the sweet plantains since I'm not a fan and they couldn't be substituted. The arepa was good, although nothing particularly memorable. The only parts of the meal I wasn't impressed with were the rice, which was a bit too salty for my taste, and the beans, which lacked flavor and were underwhelming. For dessert, I tried both the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. The tiramisu was just okay--it wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out, and I wouldn't order it again. The chocolate cake, however, was outstanding. It was incredibly moist, rich without being overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Salento does an amazing job with their meats, and that's what I'd recommend most. While a couple of the sides and one dessert didn't quite hit the mark for me, the empanadas, Bandeja Paisa, chicharrón, and chocolate cake were all excellent. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The environment is pretty nice and quiet.

The iced tea came right away, and I went with the Mexican options on the menu rather than the burgers. The steak taco and shrimp taco were delicious, and the two tacos along with a side of plantains were more than enough for dinner. While I'd order the tacos again, the plantains were a bit underwhelming. Service was very good, I wish that the young man's name who served us would have been on the receipt so I could recognize him, but he was competent throughout and offered a to-go beverage as we paid the check. Pricing was reasonable, averaging about $25 per person all in. After dinner, I was catching up with another local Yelp elite member who told me that the burgers are even better than the tacos...next time I'll be sure to enjoy a creatively prepared burger.

PALERMO PUERTO RICAN... UN AMOR PROHIBIDO…read more Ay, Dios mío... I walked into Palermo Puerto Rican in Florida thinking I was simply going to have dinner. Pero NO. What happened that day was something much more dangerous... I fell in love. I ordered the Christmas Plate, and the moment it arrived at the table, I froze. Pork. Arroz con gandules. Pasteles. Plátanos maduros. I whispered... "No puede ser..." One bite, and suddenly I wasn't in Florida anymore. I was back in Puerto Rico during Las Navidades. I could almost hear the coquí, the music, the laughter of family, and somebody in the distance yelling, "¡Dale, que llegó la comida!" The pork was tender and full of flavor. The arroz con gandules tasted like Christmas memories on a plate. The pasteles... AY, LOS PASTELES! I wasn't emotionally prepared. And those sweet plátanos maduros came into my life like the forbidden lover my mother warned me about. I looked at my plate and said: "¡¿POR QUÉ?! ¿POR QUÉ TUVE QUE CONOCERTE AHORA?" Because this wasn't dinner anymore. ESTO ERA AMOR PROHIBIDO. Every bite brought back memories of Puerto Rican Christmases--the food, the family, the music, the alegría, the traditions. It was nostalgia, happiness, heartbreak and romance all served on one plate. And when the last bite was gone... I stared at the empty plate like the final scene of a telenovela. "No te vayas... todavía tenemos una vida juntos." Palermo Puerto Rican, you didn't just feed me. You took me home. And now our love may be complicated... it may be dangerous... it may even be forbidden... PERO VOLVERÉ. Because some loves are simply too powerful to forget. ¡QUE VIVA PUERTO RICO, QUE VIVA LA NAVIDAD... Y QUE VIVA ESTE AMOR PROHIBIDO!
