I had an appointment with Jason for my first visit here. I opted for a new set of medium almond nails in a milky white. The shop is clean, but I wouldn't get a pedicure here. There's no massage chairs! Jason was pleasant, but I noticed he did not prime or dehydrate my nails prior to applying the acrylic. I was served orange juice during my appointment, so that was nice. They looked good but were very expensive for a very basic manicure. I was charged $70, as he used colored acrylic powder. I showed him a reference photo for color and he picked the powder for me (American White I believe), not letting me know powder was an additional cost. I would have just done gel if that were the case. I also tipped, so it was a $$$ mani! They lifted in 2 weeks.... for what I paid, I could have gone to Fremont (my usual spot) or Milpitas and gotten nail art or jewels too and it would not have lifted in 2 weeks to snag onto my hair! I am upset right now...it's been 7 days and my nail just chipped? my trip to Disneyland for my birthday is Friday and I can't believe this already happened? I'm very shocked and annoyed. Let's see, where do I even start..... I had an appointment booked for 10am, got there at 9:55am. I had to sit and wait about 30 minutes and once I was shown the colors, they did not have many options for modern colors or modern styles, only cat eye. The nail tech (Molly) called me a bitch for misunderstanding what she said, but I was not the only person who understood that, two others (Cindy) and a customer who recommended this place heard the same thing I heard. Not sure if they're this comfortable with all their first timers, but was definitely not a good impression for me. Also, not to mention the most important thing, my nails started to chip within an hour or two, after I got them done. I was literally just shopping at the mall and as I picked up a perfume, I noticed that they were chipping already by 2pm! I decided to get a builder gel set which is also very, very clumpy and how is it possible that this place is considered "luxury" when they don't even massage your hands, or even apply lotion to your hands. Cuticle treatment is $10 on top of what you're paying btw, French tip is also $10 extra (the nail tech did not mention this). I ended up paying $95 for this! The salon never reached out to me, instead they reached out to the person who recommended the salon and told them they could fix it for free, I'm not sure why they're involving other people when they ask you for your phone number and email when you check-in at the front desk. Now they won't even book the person who recommended the business or they cancel her appointments when apparently she was an ongoing customer and had been going there 5x, after me posting this review. If I had a bad experience and she didn't, I don't understand why they won't book her, or at least offer her a different nail tech. This is very unprofessional from the business. I went to the salon today to get my nails done. I usually keep my natural nails long, just the way I like them, but three of them had broken. I asked for builder gel to make them stronger, and for one tip on the broken nail so it would match the length of my natural nails. The nail tech told me that if she put a tip on, it would look weird and that the cracked nails would keep breaking anyway. I agreed, trusting her recommendation. However, I never told her to cut my natural nails, and she also never told me she was going to do that. In the end, she decided to cut them to apply soft gel, which I did not ask for and wasn't what I wanted. The place itself is very nice and the environment is great, but I left feeling disappointed because my request wasn't respected and she didn't explain the changes before doing them. I've been to Aria Nail Bar a couple of times and have had good experiences. It's located in the shopping plaza with Burger King and the dollar tree so there's plenty of parking, even if it's not right in front of the shop. The shop itself is so beautiful, spacious, and bright. They have comfortable seats and are always playing America's Got Talent in the background (at least, they have the times I've been lol). I've never had any issues with walking in to get services done. Most recently, I needed to get a pedicure done before my trip so I walked in and asked if they could help me out on the spot. They happily accommodated me and offered a complimentary drink (juice, water, mimosa) while I chose my colors. As others have mentioned, the pedicures are on the pricier side ($40-50+ for a package, add more if you want gel or designs, etc), especially because I feel like I've had more of a spa treatment at other places for the same price. The basic pedicure is truly basic, but hey, it gets the job done. I also got my eyebrows and lip waxed here since they offer that as a service too. That was pretty much as expected. Quick service, clean brows. If you want a more full waxing experience where they use/explain products to calm the redness/pain more, it's prob better for you to head to a place that specializes in waxing only. But just like the pedicure, it got the job done especially when I was in a pinch without an appointment! Really nice people and clean luxurious salon. However, I originally asked for a specific nail design that they had on display, it's similar to cat eye but without the line , it's a "wide eye" design. My nail tech couldn't do it and two other people jumped in to do it and couldn't figure it out. Why offer a service you can't do ? After a while of them trying I kindly asked to just do plain white nails . I decided to give this nail shop a try because it looked really nice inside when I passed by. I came in for an acrylic full set and pedicure with gel polish. While doing my pedicure I was made aware that they don't do acrylic on toes. This was not mentioned on their website nor any signs saying this. I get acrylic on my big toe because it split and it protects it. I have been doing this for years never had an issue and I've never been to a nail shop that doesn't do that. Once she made me aware they don't do it I said ok just do the pedicure and I'll go to my normal nail shop and have them fill it. The girl doing my pedicure said ok. When it was time to paint my toes another girl took over and said she wasn't going to paint them because the acrylic was lifting but she'll paint the others I said no because that would be pointless I'll just go get them painted somewhere else that does acrylic toes. I got my nails done as well and they were ok nothing special. When it comes time to pay I was charged $134 with no polish on my toes! I said why would I pay full price if I didn't get a full service! I was told that's the price regardless if they're painted or not. I don't agree but instead of arguing I paid and left. I won't be back! read more

In an attempt to save some money I've decided to try press-on nails (so far using Glamnetic... and they're pretty good) so I needed to prep my nails and remove my gel polish that I had on. I came in on a Wednesday at about noon and it was close to empty. Cute place, super clean looking with a modern flair. Really feels like an upscale spa! As it's new there still seems to be a lot of confusion between the workers. This is just what I observed. Lots of going back and forth about pricing etc. etc. but I suppose it's to be expected from a newer business. Things will most likely shape up in a few weeks. The lady that removed my gel polish was nice. The gel manicures here are actually cheaper than my old place so maybe I'll come back when the economy picks up. I went to pay and there was more confusion about how much I was to be charged -- I was quoted $15 for a gel removal but was almost charged $30 before I said something. I've only been here once for a pedicure on a Friday noon time sometime in July. I was able to use their 10% promotion that were available during the month of July. I opted for a deluxe pedi for $52 which comes with exfoliating sugar scrub and mask massage, getting gel is another $15. So overall it was the priciest pedicure I've had and to be honest, not worth the extra price for a deluxe. The only difference I saw between my pedicure and the classic one is that slices of citrus fruits were added to the water, and the massage at the end. I would go for the classic pedi to save the extra $, the extra items didn't justify a $12 higher price. My pedicure was good, the nail tech didn't hurt my cuticles and she did a good job with the gel paint. She checked in on me to make sure everything was ok and the other workers did as well. I got a glass of I believe sparkling Rose which was a nice treat to end a long week. The place seems very clean and modern - love the aesthetics and ambiance of this spot. I like what they're trying to accomplish in Hayward, but they may need to consider adjusting the prices to align with the location and consumers that are in this area. The high prices doesn't align with the pricing in Hayward, plus you got tons of competitors out there who charge a lower price for same service/work. My go-to nail salon in Newark is much more affordable for a gel pedicure than this spot, so it is hard for me to make the switch from my old salon to this spot, despite the fact that Aria is much closer to me. read more

This is THE place to get your nails did! I walked in without an appointment and requested a gel manicure and normal pedicure. I was seated immediately and was shown their menu. I opted in for the deluxe pedicure and chose Tropical Fruit as my scent for a scrub, mask and lotion. This felt amazing and I highly recommend. Finally a nail salon that has two people working on you simultaneously! I didn't catch the name of the lady that did my pedi, but she was good. However, my nail tech VIKTOR was ah-mazing! He was attentive, kind, and had a personality. He suggested I get color powder to make my nails stronger, which I opted in for. He made sure my nails were the perfect almond shape that I have literally only seen on social media. I loooved my nails. This place is a luxurious nail salon and is pricey.
