The chili pesto is not right for this burger (flavors don't jive). And they desperately need different buns. The paradise burger has the same issue (1000 island doesn't work). Stick with the big 3 condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayo). They are trying too hard to get a unique burger. Fries are very basic (crinkle cut would be a nice upgrade). Good burger and delicious fries. All though when it comes to service, absolutely awful customer service. Definitely felt ignored by the gentleman who took my order. Even told him it was "my first time, any recommendations?". He didn't seem to care one bit and gave me a very plain response. Once he got my order, he just walks away letting me tap my own card and grab my own receipt as he turns around and keeps talking with the other employees as if I was a distraction. I first heard about them from a co-worker who swore by them when they were located down the road, but when they moved to their current location not far from my office, I knew I would have no excuse to not try them. I wandered in for lunch one day and noticed that the menu appears to have been scaled down from what they used to offer according to friends, so there aren't as many "wild" choices for burgers anymore as far as I can tell, so there are five burgers to choose from. I was going to try something basic for my first visit to get a feel for how they do a typical burger anyway, so I ordered the $10 Paradise Burger, but since I'm not really a fan of cucumbers or pickled onions, I had them leave those off. What remained were the beef patty, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing, so I added bacon for an upcharge. I also went for the combo and got fries and a drink for an additional $6. (Other burgers on the menu are more expensive, ranging from $13.50 to $14, and they also offer a couple of chicken sandwiches and a grilled cheese sandwich. They have two salads as well, and the rest are sides, drinks, and desserts.) Service was friendly, and after ordering, I grabbed a table indoors. They have a little bit of outdoor seating and as many tables as they can fit inside. It's a small, very basic place--clearly known for the food more than the ambience, but there's nothing wrong with it. It's not meant to be anything more than that. Once my burger arrived, the presentation was good, and I dug in. The burger was very tasty, and the fries were delicious. The patties were cooked right, and I had no complaints about the portion size. Although everything was good, I guess people had pumped up the place so much that I expected more. I wasn't "wowed," but I had no complaints either. I might feel a little disappointed in the more expensive burgers, but I won't know until I try one. I'd probably feel better about a slightly lower price for the combo add-on. Ultimately, I think this is a decent burger joint and a place you should try. High time I tried the "new" location and wrote a review, we have been going to PV Burger for years. Saturday lunch, only one table occupied. Cashier gave us time and took our orders. I am all excited, because they now have sweet potato tots, which I ordered with my lettuce wrapped Beach House burger. Son was craving the Booze Burger, a behemoth creation with two beer battered patties, whiskey pickled peppers and some delicious vodka cream sauce with green chili and bacon. It shouldn't work but it totally does! He also had to try the Los Onion Rings, chorizo spiced rings with jalapeno, hot honey and rosemary, right up his alley. Husband ordered the basic PV Burger with cheese. This one came loaded with bright pink pickled onions. And he had the French fries, too. All devoured! When our meals arrived in their red baskets, I asked for a side of ranch dressing to dunk my sweet potato tots in. Cashier brought me two sides of ranch and refused to take one back. Although it was generous and clearly house-made not bottled, it was not the most flavorful ranch. That did not stop me from deeply dunking though! Sweet potato tots do make an excellent ranch dressing delivery device. Highly recommended. The Beach House burger has pico and smoked mozzarella with a big green chili. Tasty but slippery! I really enjoyed the burger and I'm always a fan of adding an over hard egg. I don't like a ton of seasoning/salt so the fries were a bit over seasoned for me but that's strictly a subjective preference. I went around 1130 and they were busy! We visited this week for lunch for the first time. I ordered the Beach House burger, minus the jalapeño ranch (love jalapeños not ranch) with fries. My wife ordered the grilled chicken on lettuce instead of their delicious (thin, perfectly grilled) bun. NO fries either. Who goes to a place where BURGER is in its actual name but orders chicken? But over the years: 'happy wife happy life,' as the old saying goes. I want to give this a five star review (NOTE: updated to 5 stars) but I found that the few fries I was able to eat left me wanting. (The reality is that they were the most perfect French fries ever. I got their signature burger the one that put them on the map. It's got a variety of interesting items like egg and purple marinated onions or something like that also the bun on the inside has been toasted with sugar. Quite honestly I never get these designer, custom burgers for reasons of there's so many flavors that none of them really stand out. That's honestly what happened here. SO GOOD! We tried to get burgers in old town but it wasn't happening with a tired cranky two year old so we left and I found this place on yelp on our way back to the hotel. I ordered and we arrived in about 15 mins and our food was ready within 5 minutes so I was able to just grab and go. Staff were okay, not super friendly but not bad. We got the paradise burger and added bacon, the backyard burger, and the sloppy Joe fries. The only thing I was confused about was that my burger had two patties instead of one so I wonder if my patty was swapped with my partners, since his should have had two. He didn't even notice though since he ate so fast. They do charge extra for ranch since it's made in house but I would say it needs a little more seasoning. My family and I stopped here today to satisfy our hamburger cravings. It's safe to say our wishes came true. My dad ordered the backyard barbecue burger and absolutely loved it. He said it's his new favorite burger and will definitely be coming back to get it again. I ended up getting the los chick sandwich and it blew my mind too. My husband only wanted to go to one place for his birthday lunch, and it was PV Burger for a Burger Brûlée. This was our first to visit the new location and we were delighted to see that not much else changes except the address and some decor. It's really nice and clean inside, service was still great, and prices were still super reasonable for what you get. The most important thing is the food was still incredibly delicious! Word of advice when eating the Brûlée: just go all in and keep the messy hands until you've finished because n you can use a whole stack of napkins if you wipe your hands between each bite. Embrace the oozy chaos! We got a side of fries and the sweet tots. Thought a milkshake after we were done eating but we were so stuffed! They do offer a gluten free bun & lots of different veggies to choose from so you can totally put together a veggie burger. Most burgers are in the $14 range for JUST the burger. Throw in a handful of fries for $4.59, add a soft drink and you are in $24 price range. Tried PV Burger for the first time for a quick lunch. Arrived at 12:30 and it was about half full with a short line at the order counter. Ordering was quick and easy. We both ordered Paradise Burgers with some slight customization plus an order of Sweet Tots. Tables were available both inside and out. The handmade burgers arrived in about 15 minutes - fresh and hot, piled high with lettuce, cucumbers, tomato, pickled red onions and 1000 Island sauce on a squishy toasted brioche bun. The cukes added plenty of crunch. The Tots were crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. All in all, very delicious. I was very much looking forward to eating at Paradise Valley Burger, after reading about their grand opening in Scottsdale. Then I recently got my car washed in the same mall and chatted with the team who said the burgers are good here. The restaurant is a walk up and order at the counter style. Service was decent, friendly and the food cooked fresh. However, I'm afraid to say that I was disappointed by the food! The burgers are 1/4 pound patties which left both me and my wife feeling unsatiated. We just didn't feel full or satisfied, and we both felt like we could've eaten again! I specifically chose the Booze Burger, which is 2 patties. The jalapenos in my burger did not taste pickled but raw and bitter instead. My family ordered the Beach House, the CHZ Burger, and a Kids Chz Burger. I also ordered the Jalapeno Fries on the specials menu. My daughter gave the restaurant a 4, but both my wife and I rated 3 for blandness and lack of fulfillment. Giving a 4 star rating to give the benefit of the doubt and worth giving PV Burger another try. Next time, I'll likely order 2 burgers and just regular fries. read more

DDD Guy Fieri The 12 of us were on a golf getaway. Our visit coincided with the Barrett Jackson car auction. As such it was difficult to get a reservation at the last minute. The guys wanted to visit PVB so we made the trip across town. I would say they were ok, I wouldn't make a special trip back, but if I was near there and wanted a burger I would return. They close at 8pm daily, we got there at 7pm. The dining area was 80% full and people in line to order. I had the Beach house burger with added pickled onion and sweet potato tots. The burger meat was very good, the burger sandwich itself was extremely messy because of the pico and sauce on it. Not as much flavor as I expected from the ingredients. The Brûlée burger was good with great flavors. The paradise and bacon burgers were good. The booze burger also did not have the flavor that was expected.
