After purchasing a wedding dress off the rack, I was determined to find a place that could alter my size 10 dress down to my size 2. After calling multiple bridal stores & speaking to their seamstresses, I wasn't so sure I could make this a reality...until I spoke with Arlette. She was so sweet and calm over the phone, I immediately felt like this was the right place to come. Sure enough, I was right. Let me get the one mishap out of the way. I had to call to find out about my dress after I dropped it off over a month ago. Arlette said she had left me a message a week after I dropped off my dress which I didn't receive but nonetheless, I'm happy with her service. She texted me photos of my dress to show it was cleaned perfectly after the chaos that was my wedding with make up, wine, grass and dirt stains that had graced my dress. So amazing!!! I brought in my Fig scrubs because the waistband was too big. The back part of the pants are all elastic which made it more complicated to fix. At first, Arlette said it couldn't be fixed but then came up with an idea to loop an extra piece of elastic through the back to tighten it. One place quoted me $35 but she only charged me $10! I also got my scrub set cleaned and pressed for $8.50. She did such a great job. My scrub pants fit perfectly now and you can't even tell they were altered. She is so sweet and friendly. I can't say enough about how awesome this place is. Even though this place is a little far for me, I will definitely come back for all my future dry cleaning/alteration needs. I had a simple alteration to hem a bridesmaids dress but it was done well and they were willing to hold the dress for me for a month because I was going out of town. Arlettes Cleaners saved me! I had to get my wedding dress altered and knew the bridal shop would be way too expensive. I took my dress to a highly rated alteration studio near by, and was shocked when she quoted me $850! I had a budget in mind of about $400 for alterations, so this was double what I was looking to spend and couldn't justify that. I then went to an alteration studio in san dimas that was also highly rated and I had been to before. He looked at my dress and told me he wouldn't be able to do it in time (about 2 months). Great service. Arlette was really friendly and accommodating. I asked to get my daughters dress shortened but it came with a lining so the charge initially quoted was $25 which I didn't think was worth it for a $30 dress. So I asked her to just hem the outside and I'll just cut the lining with scissors. Which she agreed and charged me $16 instead. When my daughter picked up the dress I was pleasantly surprised to see that they hemmed the lining as well, free of charge. Aside from doing a great job on the alterations, she noticed that I had my index finger wrapped up & asked about it. ( kitchen knife accident nothing major) So when I came back to pick up my clothes she followed up on it and gave me advice on treating my wound. Really nice owner. Very prompt and had my items ready before the pick up date. I'm not sure what happened, but my suits came back far worse than when I left them. My shirts were great. But not my suits. Here's a picture of one of them and how I got it back. Sadly I was out of town for a wedding and only brought my one suit so I had to deal with it. My jacket had weird wrinkles. My vest wouldn't sit flat, it wasn't creased, but as you can see in the pictures it was like folded. Also my vest came back with multiple white stains. This is a custom tailored suit so as you can imagine I'm pretty upset. read more

I needed my wedding dress taken out so I decided to go here based on all the great reviews. At first, the woman who was helping me was nice and helpful. She kept saying it would be easy because she only needed one inch. Once she cut open my dress and saw that there was no extra fabric inside her attitude changed. Since it couldn't be let out, I asked if she could just change the back to corset style. The woman kept saying it was too much work. She was complaining that she would have to remove the zipper and that it would be $200. I was ok with paying that and even after I said ok she kept shaking her head and saying "it's too much work". Then just tell me you don't want to or can't do it. I ended up leaving and getting my dress altered somewhere else. She just didn't seem to want to help. read more

Arlette is an absolute sweetheart! I brought some oversized Hickie Freeman suits for her to fit to my standard. These suits are really expensive ($2,000) so I had to make sure it was done properly by an expert. The pant's waist size and butt were 3.5 inches too big (which is a big fix) and she took care of it no problem to perfection. She paid extra attention to detail and she checked with me several times to make sure the tailoring was to be done as I requested. I also wanted extra work done that she kindly objected to save me cash on the fix, which was really polite and spoke a ton about her character. She shortened my suit jacket length as well. Arlette is honestly the sweetest lady. I needed to clean my wedding dress and when she inspected my dress, I had said "dry clean." She went off on me a little, saying you never dry clean this specific fabric cause it'll shrink and stuff. She wasn't trying to be mean. She was just very passionate about what she does. My dress came out perfect for the wedding. Ofc, after the wedding, I had to bring her my dress and my husbands suit. She had it nicely preserved for me in this nice huge box and even gave extra tips on how to make it last forever. The in between conversations, she'd genuinely ask about my life and how it's going.
