The coffee here is superb. It has great flavor and made to perfection. The staff were very friendly and the coffeehouse is a good place to get some work done or socialize with a friend. I really enjoy this coffee shop.

Cute coffee shop! Here you'll find lots of Madrona locals looking to drink coffee, work remotely and in true Seattleite fashion, not say a word to anyone else. But that's why we love it! Coffee was good, service was speedy and the vibes were cozy. I got their root beer + espresso drink - call me crazy, but it was actually so good. I'll be back!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside (we almost missed it), but it is quite lovely inside! The menu is very inventive (there are egg creams and tonics in addition to coffee). The baristas were quite personable and knowledgeable about the menu. We decided on the cardamom tonic and got decaf (because it was after 2pm). The espresso floated on the tonic and looked incredible. And when mixed together, it was so refreshing!

Glad we tried it despite the average reviews. The coffee special with orange something was delicious and hot and actually served in a mug. Yeah, since the pandemic I've had to specially request mugs!! The breakfast Sammy was also delicious, the egg cooked like a frittata and the croissant hot and spot on. I'd come back again! Friendly staff as well.

Excellent strong coffee (I had an oat latte). Decent seating (I counted eight 2-seat tables inside, and there are a couple more outside). Good music (LCD Soundsystem was in the mix). Busy but not overwhelmingly (I went Tuesday mid-morning).

Weirdly cold crumbly filling inside a hot flaky croissant not remotely worth $13

Mixed up coffee order. Rather rude, stressed barista who is not in sync with the person taking orders. Cold croissant sandwich that is grossly overpriced for what you get. We had hoped this would be a neighborhood go-to, but it won't be.

There's good coffee, there's plants and plant gear FOR SALE, and the baristas play punk. New favorite place!

    London Fog Description

I've been a customer for over a year now since I work across the street and I always order the same thing, a Seattle fog. If you don't know what a Seattle fog is, it is essentially a London fog (earl grey, milk, sweetener) but with cinnamon in it. Now today when I ordered the tea, I noticed it was much blander than usual but I thought maybe this barista doesn't make it as well as the person who usually makes it for me. However, as I continue to drink it I realize that there is no teabag in it, which there has always been one when I've ordered it. So I go back on my next break to tell him that I think he forgot to put my teabag in there and he insisted that there was tea in there and no teabag comes with it. I told him that when I had ordered it before it always came with a teabag and that it was bland. Now he's saying you must've gotten the London fog, that one comes with a teabag and the Seattle fog doesn't. Now I know he is just trying gaslight me and not refund/remake my drink. Not only have I been told multiple times by other baristas there that the two drinks are exactly the same but just has extra stuff in it, but I have also ordered both before and I know they come with teabags. Worst of all he is the manager so there is nothing else I can do. So I leave to go back to work knowing I just payed $7 for a 12oz tea that ended up just not having the main ingredient in it. I will be going solely to hi spot cafe from now on and will make sure to tell my coworkers what happened to me, as many of us go there. Good luck

Similar to other reviews I think the largest mr wests are better! Their website online is deceiving as it shows they offer a full menu of food, this location offers 3 food options and coffee and that's it. I thought they would have much more as their website shows that they do. This one also was very VERY small, like 5 tables that comfortably sit 1. Two people could not work on one table with two laptops very easily. It was very expensive (but not surprised) about $23 after tax & tip for a croissant sandwich and an almond milk vanilla latte. Parking in the area isn't super great either bc it's a busy area & it's all 2-hour parking (just for those curious, that does not affect my review.) The staff were all really nice tho! But I came with 2 friends to work for like 4-5 hours & we had to use 3 tables unfortunately bc they were so small. We likely won't come back to this location, but will stick with the UVil! But that's because we came to work; if I was in the area and not planning on hanging out I would probably come back to grab a coffee.

Great experience. Cute little shop with good options. Had avocado toast and seasonal apple cider.

Light was flooding every corner; that soft Seattle glow that makes you want to pull out your journal and pretend you live inside a cozy indie film. Ventilation was perfect. Temperature was perfect. Seating options? Abundant. And not the awkward wobbly kind either. This spot is built for lingering. I grabbed a latte, sat down, and immediately fell into an art journaling trance. There's something about being surrounded by curated shelves of books and cute little treasures that just unlocks your brain. It's the kind of place where you look up after ten minutes and somehow an hour passed. This was my first visit, but it's already on my list of "places I'll actually come back to and get work done." This was on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm, and there were still so many people occupying nearly every seat inside. I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

Clearly, I've had ongoing issues with this location not filling my premium-priced drink to the top. Today, they left an inch of the cup unfilled. I politely asked them to remake the drink so it was full. The young, twenty-something barista had the nerve to tell me, "We are instructed to leave the cup unfilled by half an inch from the top." (It was at least a full inch unfilled.) I began to explain that while I don't mind paying the premium price, I do expect a full cup. He then said something about, "this is how we measure it." I mentioned that he's made my drink before and filled it to the top as requested. At that point, I decided this would absolutely be my last visit to this Starbucks. I've complained about the short-filled drinks here before, and I never, EVER, have this problem at any other Starbucks I've visited across the continental U.S. Is it a lack of training? I can't help but wonder. Why is this Starbucks so consistently bad at filling drinks? I asked for a refund but felt awful because I was so frustrated. Most of the staff there is very nice. This young fellow's excuse was pathetic. I'll say it again -- if we're paying a premium price, fill the drink to the top. For Pete's sake, I even have it listed as my name on the cup.

I ordered an iced pour over (Zambia Kateshi Estate Anaerobic Natural) for $8, with tasting notes of pineapple, blackberry, and lychee. it was incredibly refreshing -- fruity, juicy, and vibrant. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a bag of the beans to bring home. My friend ordered an iced Americano, which was made with a light roast that had intense fruity acidity. it wasn't quite her style, but I appreciated that they didn't default to a darker roast for milk-free drinks.
