Firstly, I must state that I have eaten here many times. The food is authentic and delicious with the exception of one time where it was a bit off. In my book an off night happens! However, the last experience at Aroy will be my last. I called to place a pick up order and the counter woman was in a rush and just hung up without giving me a pick up time or saying thank you or anything. I just figured she was busy with customers and shrugged it off. NOT THE CASE. After I arrived to pick up my order cranky little Miss attitude just looks at me and says 'name'? I told her, then she gave me my $55 order. No Thank You??? , No smile and therefore no tip! She just stared at me. She was very rude and had no excuse to act like she did towards me. I always leave a tip even on carry out BUT I will never give anyone my money for acting the way she was. There wasn't a single person in dining room, NOT ONE Single person! I can't recommend Aroy to friends and family moving forward for this reason. So sad because the food was great. This was the evening of Sunday April 27th. What a shame. My husband and I have been having lunch at Aroy for almost a year now, it's conveniently located next to both of our jobs so we like to meet up and take advantage of their lunch specials. I have never had a bad dish, quality and flavor are consistently good. Their yellow curry is the best I've ever had. Stopped by for their lunch special with my roomies and was not disappointed. I ordered the spicy eggplant with tofu and the table ordered spicy basil, fried rice, and pad Thai. Everything was good and I thoroughly enjoyed my dish. It was the right amount of spice and I had lots of flavor. The pad Thai was nice and saucy. The only thing is that it was uncomfortably warm inside the restaurant and our server was MIA the whole time. We just found it a little odd since we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. She took our order and dropped off our food and disappeared. We had to go up to the counter and call for somebody so we could get the check and some boxes. Before reading the comments I decided based on my past experiences at other Thai spots being too light on the spice I would go straight to a 5 spicy level. Then all the reviews here said watch out! So I immediately got afraid while I waited for my Beef Pad See Ew to arrive. All in all don't be afraid...a 5 is actual ideal if you like spice. Did a to-go order with some coworkers for this lunch. We all got a variety of food to try. I got the Beef Sa-tay lunch portion which was pretty flavorful. I was worried it would be too spicy but it definitely was not (and I'm a wimp). It came with a small amount of lettuce, a spring roll, and a huuuuge amount of fried rice. I tried to sub the rice for vegetables, but it was a hassle, so I just kept the rice for simplicity sake. A coworker of mine got the garlic short ribs which sounded good but ended up being really dry and too tough. Not sure exactly what happened, but I wouldn't recommend them. I also tried the crab ragoon and calamari which were very good. The calamari was pretty fresh and not overly breaded. Overall this was a nice to-go spot for lunch. If you like rice and with your lunch then you will get plenty. Nothing was too spicy for me, but it was flavorful. read more

So I love Thai food my husband does not..... so when he's out of town I get Thai! I ordered my two staples Tom yum soup and panang curry with chicken. The soup was good. I ordered a 3 spice. It had some heat but not too spicy to eat. I get all veggie in the soup. I would order this again. The panang curry with chicken was super watery. Like they don't use coconut milk. Or water it down to serve more people. I would not order this again. Flavor was there but the sauce was just to thin. Overall not bad, but I am still on the hunt for my new Thai spot. read more

I am pretty regular ar ordering food at Aroy Thai Kirchen, particularly their garlic eggplant as its my husband's favorite. However, today is a different experience. We ordered the Garlic Eggplant and paid $4 extra for combination meat and extra $1.50 for substituting rice with steamed veggies, the garlic eggplant arrived without any meat at all. The Mussaman chicken curry was so watery and tasteless. Their marinated seasoning for the beef jerky gives a sour taste which I'm not used to for a normal Thai beef jerky. I ordered from this place last night off of DoorDash because it was a small business and wanted to try a new thai place and everyone gave it a good review other than its extremely spicy! I never had spring rolls and always wanted to try rice paper now in their description the sauce says "homemade sauce" and when I was eating it turns out it was peanut sauce and I'm deathly allergic! My throat swelled up to where i couldn't talk, breathe, and swallow properly, my chest felt heavy and my heart started to hurt and pulsate extremely fast! My first thought was to call the restaurant to let them know what happened! I don't understand why places nowadays nobody gives you their name when you call in, but the front of the house person she was very nice she felt bad for what i experienced and said that she was going to have the owner call me. I explained to the owner what happened and I told her "You need to change the description on your food items so other people know and she told me "Well normally customers call in and ask us first what's in our food before they buy". I thought that was rude just even the way she said it she didn't care at all. She also said "On DoorDash you can put in the description to put in peanut allergy". I told her "Unfortunately for your restaurant no you didn't allow that it only has if this item isn't available you can substitute for something else, I wasn't allowed to put peanut allergy. I even told her I can sue you for not telling customers what's in your food but im not going to be rude and do that. Unfortunately I won't ever order from this place again. My new favorite Thai spot! It all started with ordering pickup through uber eats. First timer trying out this place Our order; Crab fried rice, pineapple fried rice, and seafood pad thai. Everything was delicious and well seasoned! Perfect amount of spice! Soon after, decided to do dine in before running errands with my little one. We were there during lunch time so they have a lunch special. We ordered egg rolls, chicken noodle soup, papaya salad and garlic eggplant tofu. This place has the best papaya salad! I got it with level 3 spice out of 5 and whoo! It had such a nice kick with it! Chicken noodle soup was up to par, my son really enjoyed it. Garlic eggplant tofu was so good! It is now my go-to plate at this restaurant. Came in today again and ordered the papaya salad, garlic tofu eggplant, and orange chicken! Other than the food being delicious , we were assisted by Jay (at both visits) and Jay has been nothing but wonderful! Jay was the only one working and the restaurant was full of people!
