Chicken wrap $14
Stephen P.

Inside the Galleria food court is this new ish addition. A kebab shop that that does shawarma (on a rotating grill). There's chicken, pork and beef. I came here for the lavash wrap. It was a bit salty but tasty. You can have it loaded with onions, tomatoes, cilantro, peppers. I recommend it. If you like, you can get it filled with fries for $1 extra. That's how some Europeans eat it. Artie's also does a filled baked potato which you can't find elsewhere. The chicken tenders are the usual fare. Nothing to write home about. It comes with Ranch or ketchup. The fries aren't anything special. Thin and crispy.

Shawarma Lavash

I went here because of the Yelp reviews. I was disappointed, the shawarma was dry, and the filling for the lavash did not have the bold flavor I was expecting, that I get from other Mediterranean restaurants . I guess the price and food are what you can expect from a food court. Seems the food took longer than I would expect, looked like the workers were just standing around.

The line cook with his "cooking gloves" touching his dirty phone then cooking after with them still on.

The line cook with his "cooking gloves" touching his dirty phone. Right after this picture was taken, he was wrapping a shawarma for a few customers with the same nasty gloves he was on his phone with. No he did not change his gloves. The other worker scratched his head and flicked whatever was on his head. The cashier on his phone and touching his nose, the same hands he hands customers their food with. Straight up nasty. No standard at all.

Chicken shawarma salad is delicious, spring mix is supper green and chicken is cooked to perfection.

Pork Shawarma

Just tried this place out for the first time and I loved it, the bread is fresh. The meat was good quality. The sauce was very tasty. I recommend the pork Shawarma and the staff was nice.

So impressed with Artie's Express! Everything was so fresh. The veggies, the salad, the chicken shawarma and the fries were perfectly crispy. Service was friendly too. As for the ambiance, it's in the Food Court of the Americana so it can be tricky to find seating sometimes. Will order again!

This is the amount of dirt on the counter if the food court. Fails Liz' Health inspection. Bringing to attention of management

This is just unbelievable. I'm not sure if I this is restaurant transgender discrimination or just a petty store owner. They served stale meallt food and had disgusting eating areas that would fail LA County inspection

5 Piece Combo Tenders
Francis G.

First timer here. They've got a lot of options here at parties. Tenders, sandwiches, I think I saw gyros and of course French fries. I got there and went straight for the tender combo with a nice cold fountain Pepsi and a side of ranch. First I had the fries which is always a must. I don't understand anyone who don't go for the fries first I've met people who don't go for it first and they go for their let's say they get a burger then they get into their fries. Anyways I love them! They are shoestring and it was nice and crisp! I went to the tenders next and man it was so good! It was juicy and flavorful and it was descent sized too! I was struggling to finish the tenders but I did it haha My one gripe is that I wash the breading didn't fall out so fast like it came apart quickly after I picked it up but no biggie it was good anyways. The ambiance is whatever it was inside a mall so you'll be expecting a lot of talking and walking and such however I will say that the inside of the kitchen is well taken care of! The staff was friendly and attentive and quick to help right away! Kudos! I will def come back for more!

Dark meat chicken kabob, best in LA!…read more I've been to over 50 kabob places around LA, lived near Glendale for a decade, tried all the famous sit down establisments to the not so famous hole in the wall joints but this to me is the best chicken kabob I've ever had in LA, or ever actually. First of all, the fact that you can choose dark meat is unique and appreciated. Secondly their rice is alway so well done, perfection. Third, their sides are incredible, creamy hummus, a bright and vibrant Shiraz salad and their garlic toum texture is almost like mashed potatoes puree, with right amount of garlic tang without being overpowering. The chicken kabob itself was so well marinated and tender it melts in your mouth and elevates this often overlooked protein into something so memorable. It's a perfect meal and their consistency is appreciated. I judge every Mediteranean restaurant that offers kabobs on their chicken kabob to see how well it is marinated, prepared and cooked, and Sidewalk Grills chicken kabob can't be beat imo, try it and I'm betting you will agree. Please go and support this establishment which stands out even amongst the vast sea of amazing Persian/Mediterranean restaurants we re so lucky to have here in the greater LA region!

Out server Emily was a delight. So friendly and accommodating (and thanks again for the Baklava!) We had the lamb shwarma plate and the fried chicken plate, both with hummus. Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Many reviews describe them as beets (which I also love) but these are radishes and they pair so well with the rich meat. An umami bomb! Portions HUGE (we have a full meal waiting in the fridge) and prices very reasonable. Patio is a very fun hang with pretty lights. My only knock is on the chairs which are not exactly "comfy." But that's a trivial issue. Service was attentive and staff so friendly and helpful. I can't remember Emily's colleague's name but shout out to her and her Rasputin's shirt (yay Berkeley vibes.) She was great. We will definitely be back at Dune soon!

I almost always go for the hummus meze platter which comes with hummus, rice, salad, pita, falafel, and your choice of protein. I usually get the fried chicken which is crispy on the outside and moist inside. I also like to order a side of fries to share. They come out nice and crispy and are topped with sumac which gives them a really nice flavor. One thing to note is that seating is all outdoors, so if it's cold just bring a jacket. Overall I like this place a lot and I'll definitely keep coming back.

I even stayed loyal through the loss of brunch (best brunch ever!). Really hoping this is some kind of mix-up or April Fools situation. I love the way they serve: the food comes out when it's ready. It's so easy to pace ourselves and really enjoy the food, but also to get lost in conversation. I never felt rushed to move on, and I felt like we could have stayed there half the night. Brian checked in on us and was so friendly. We decided to share everything, and I'm so glad. Honestly I wish we could have tasted every single thing on the menu. The restaurant smelled so delicious. We started with the Roast Beets. The bed of whipped herbed ricotta the sweet creaminess of the dates, and the crunch of the pistachio was so dreamy, and the contrasting textures of beet chips and the beets made this appetizer beautiful and delicious. We ordered the pan-seared branzino which is served with puréed cauliflower beets (which tasted totally different to our appetizer), and wilted greens. The fish was exquisite, but I didn't eat as much as I wanted to because we also ordered meat and she's trying to not eat much meat, so I wanted her to have more fish. Next we shared the baby back ribs with were spiced with Turkish Coffee, grape molasses, and a perfectly balanced spice rub. There was perfect caramelization. The meat fell off the bones it was so tender. For dessert we had warm rice pudding which balanced out the meal perfectly. It was a wonderful meal in a beautiful space. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It's lovely for a romantic meal, but, that said, it's not a very large menu - if you go with 4 or 5 friends you could order everything and share all of it! I hope I do that one day. Sorry I didn't take pictures. I was too busy looking at my girlfriend. The only negative thing I have to say is that there is no valet and parking was difficult - at least it was on Valentine's Day. I hate looking for parking, so I actually can turn this negative into a positive by saying that the food is good enough that I'm willing to drive in circles to go there.

The barbari bread and marinated feta was the star of the meal. The mango on the feta was crazy good, creating the perfect bite with the marination. This is one thousand percent something I'd return for! The tahdig was unfortunately a miss for me. Very crispy to the point of being a bit tough, and the seasoning on the inside wasn't quite as flavorful for me. We didn't eat much of this in the end. The chicken leg was incredibly well seasoned, with the greens coated in a delectable and well pairing sauce. The chicken was pretty well cooked, it could be a tiny bit juicier but one of the better chicken dishes I've had for sure. For dessert the strawberry hibiscus cheesecake was also great! The strawberries were marinated in hibiscus tea, which was a perfect tart topping with the creamy cake and the lightly salted crust (amazing crust btw). Their arayes are a must -- it's basically like a lahmajun with two pieces pressed together, and it's insanely good. I usually go all in and order the tabbouleh, babaganoush, a pound of lula kebab, and shish kebab. Honestly, if you're with 2+ people (or even just really hungry), ordering by the pound with sides is way better value than getting individual plates. You get more variety and it just feels like the right way to eat here. Every now and then I'll switch it up and get the liver plate -- it comes with tons of greens and onions, and when you wrap everything in their fresh pita, it's incredible. Not an everyday order, but when you're in the mood for it, it hits. If you dine in, the indoor decor is super nice and really gives that authentic Mediterranean vibe. They also play a lot of 90s music, which somehow fits perfectly and adds to the whole experience. I've dined in plenty of times and the service is always solid -- staff is friendly and attentive. Just a heads up, food can take a little longer sometimes, but that's because they're always busy and everything is made fresh, so it's worth the wait. I've also done takeout here more times than I can count -- probably over 100 orders at this point -- which says everything. This is easily one of my go-to spots and I keep coming back for a reason.

From the moment we arrived, the vibe felt off. The host who seated us (who later turned out to also be a server) left us at the table, and no one approached us for about 10 minutes. When a server finally came over, the first thing she said was "Ready? Ready?", no greeting, no welcome, nothing. We were never brought water. I had to ask a busser for it because the server walked past our table multiple times, clearly saw us, and chose to ignore us. The food runner was also rude, he dropped the plates on the table without saying a single word. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked on us. No "How is everything?" No "Do you need anything?" Nothing at all. Meanwhile, we noticed that nearby tables were being greeted, checked on, and treated kindly. When we asked for the check, the server literally threw it on the table without saying a word. The experience was so bad that we decided not to leave a tip; Something we never do, especially since we truly value good service and I personally work in the restaurant industry. I don't know if the treatment had anything to do with how we looked or how we were dressed, but I've never felt so ignored and uncomfortable in a restaurant before. The food may be fine, but the service completely ruins the experience. I would not return or recommend this place.

Drinks 4 stars: Full bar: Creative specialty cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and soft drinks. We had the Pornstar and the White Negroni specialty cocktails. Both were very good.
