I went there because I needed a quick dentist but I'm staying with them because of the level of expertise and care that they demonstrated. My sister referred me to Dr. Khoo and we have both been going there over 7 years now. I appreciate the reminder texts that are sent to me a of couple of weeks out and then day of regarding the date/time of my appointment. When I've had to make changes, including once day of, it was quick and easy. I make sure I go twice a year and my appointments always begin on time. Dr. Khoo has always been professional and wonderful. In all of my years going, I've only had one visit where I had cavities and they were very thorough in reviewing the costs with me ahead of time and were in line with what my insurance told me they would cost. I had a tooth broken in half and Dr. Kim fixed it with very little pain (only the injection of the anesthetic). I didn't even have to take Advil later or anything. I got to my appointment a few minutes early as I was new to this dentist and knew that I would have to fill out paperwork. I was given the paperwork and asked to wait outside, by the time I got the paperwork filled out they were ready for me. I got my x-rays taken and the hygienist did my cleaning which took awhile since I hadn't been to a dentist for a long time. Then Dr. Nguyen came in and explained what I needed to have done. (I hadn't been to a dentist for years because of no insurance). I have a cavity in my front tooth that needs to be fixed asap so I was given an appointment for the following week. Maria went over the costs and insurance with me. I need to wait until August to have the crowns replaced but it's not a problem. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I am pleased with my hygienist but I didn't get her name. I already have a follow-up appointment for my next cleaning, I would definitely recommend this dental group. read more

This is the #1 Five Star Dentist Office Never go anywhere else My idea of a dentist comes from the 1976 movie Marathon man. Dustin Hoffman is tortured by Laurence Olivier, a Nazi war criminal/dentist, who drills in Hoffman's mouth without anesthesia, while we listen to his horrified screams. NOT! I never thought that I would say this about a dental office, but this place is AWESOME! I had an evaluation/consultation with Dr. Kim. She was so patient and informative in evaluating and discussing my dental needs. I have a big mistrust of dentists, as I have had some bad work done by some rather unskillful ones. With Dr. Kim, I felt from our discussion that she knew everything! And she used x ray machines and equipment that seemed to be a technological miracle. Shae, one of the office assistants, was so kind and sympathetic and patient discussing and showing me an instant computer printout of all my choices with the exact amount that each would cost. Also, Donna in the front office could not have been more kind and sympathetic. The next day, Dr. Acasio performed all the procedures. (Dr. Kim was booked, and my treatment was an emergency, as I had cracked a tooth). While he worked, he explained everything he was doing (sometimes more than once, as it is difficult to process all that info while you are quaking in the dental chair), while showing me immediate x rays right on the screen in front of me so that we could discuss options. He was so kind to me, and really succeeded in calming my fears. He was assisted by dental assistants Sul and Dani, who were fast and efficient. I am not ashamed to admit that Sul even held my hand for a bit, while the tears were streaming down my face, as I was so scared. I was in the chair for 5 1/2 hours. During a follow up visit, another dental assistant, Kenia, was also so kind and efficient. It was unbelievable that during some very difficult procedures( LOTS of numbing, crowns, temporary bridge, tooth extraction), I did not feel even one minute of pain. Not even the anesthetizing needles. When I got home, I experienced a problem, and Dr. Acasio called me back twice that day, and then twice the next day. He explained what I should expect following treatment and really once again calmed me down. What prompt and expert attention! And, the same no pain for a follow up visit involving a root canal and crown, all completed in one day. All the staff here are so professional, sympathetic, knowledgeable. I feel that they actually saw me as a person, rather than a problem to be solved. I will never go to any other dental office for the rest of my life. That's how confident I feel with the care and kindness I received. The only thing that could have made this better was if if were free (or, even better, if they paid me). I came here the other day for my check up and cleaning. All staff was friendly, was taken in by I believe Jackie, who took my Xrays and gave me a tour of office (really friendly). I had the doctor take a look at my Xrays very informative and checked my gums (I think his name was Dr Ko/kue). A gentleman cleaning my teeth, he was very great I almost fell asleep. I was extreme pain from a crown prep from my in network dentist, Tustin Plaza Dental. My temporary crown fell off. I couldn't get in to see him because he was booked and they close way earlier than Artistic Smiles does. They took me immediately. Dr. Kim looked at the prep, and told me I may need a root canal because the prep was very close to my root. However, she did not pressure me to do a root canal, just reapplied my temp crown and suggested that when my real crown came to ask for it to be temporarily placed until I was sure that I did not need a root canal. She didn't want to drill through a perfectly good crown. When I returned to Tustin Plaza Dental, I asked for my crown to be placed temporarily since I felt so sensitive. Even the Doctor there said that was a good idea, and he hadn't thought of that. Even so, two weeks later despite some sensitivity we put my crown on permanently. The pain returned. I returned to Dr. Kim because again my Doctor was books. She got me in and was able to do a root canal right then and there. Dr. Kim worked quickly and thoroughly. I felt immediate relief. I was going out of town and appreciated the quick response to my pain. Dr. Kim is very compassionate. Some dentists make you feel crazy when you tell them you are in pain. She does not do that! They have a plan that also gives you a discount on your treatment. But money doesn't matter when your treated like a human being and not a dollar sign. read more

I've started invisalign treatment with Dr. Czochanski and could not be more impressed with the office. I got a basic check up before starting and I had 8, yes you read that right 8 cavities! I got them taken care of and even that was a pleasure. I'm not a great dental patient which I should be ashamed of since I'm an ER RN! I just don't do dentistry well. I'm the most nervous dental patient. After having so much work done as a child and adult I have a terrible dental phobia. I will start sweating days before the appointment. (Even a cleaning!) This place is great!! I can have the nitrous gas during the whole cleaning, so I'm less anxious, and Julio the tech will make sure I'm comfortable the whole time and will go slow so as not to overwhelm me. If I have to have more extensive work done, Dr.Kim has an anesthesiologist she calls in to put me to sleep so I wake up with everything done and no pain. This place definitely puts patients first and it shows because they have plenty of staff and don't try to cut corners. The premises are very clean, the appointment waiting time is short, and the hygienists are experts at gentle but thorough cleaning. I broke a tooth while flossing before bed time, I called Dr.C's office the next morning and they were able to see me right away! His staff is extremely nice and I love the fact that you get a tour around the office, showing you one of their 2 labs, the x-Ray room, etc etc this office is extremely clean and modern! I want to be as clear as possible....I went to Artistic Smiles for a check up. The dentist did not have a nice or even polite "bedside manner" she started calling out numbers and having her assistant chart them according to sections of my mouth, I'm assuming that had to do with my gums, but my mouth was being held open so questioning wasn't an option and this was new to me so out of curiosity I allowed it to continue. At the end I was told that I needed a graft and about 1500 dollars worth of surgery! The dentist was speaking to me as if this was an emergency and wanted to start right away. I was freaked out! This had never happen before so I decided to get a second opinion and declined her urgency. I chose a small independent dental office opposed to a large cattle drive that I suspected was driven by dollar signs...The second dentist says to me "You have a healthy set of teeth."...I was so relieved and yet SO APPALLED by what I experienced! The next week my mother in law was talking to my husband about her new dentist (which was almost exactly like the Artistic Smiles Establishment) The business ran the same scam, they were calling out numbers and charting them and told her that she needed surgery $1500 worth!!! Coincidence!?!? Her being elderly took their word for it. They had her open care credit to pay for it. The "graft" that they did didn't take and she ended up getting an infection. Maybe they really believe in this system? Maybe it's unintentional? But after this whole experience it seems like such a scam. read more

I have been going to Artistic Smiles Dentistry for several years. I have always been treated by all of the staff with professionalism, compassion, and cheerful attitudes. Love the front staff, love the doctors, and love the technicians. Today was the first time I had to have a tooth pulled and a bone graft done. I am not one to be afraid of going to the dentist; but I was terrified of the unknown. Dr. Khoo and Joel were terrific with keeping me calm while explaining exactly what was going to be done. The procedure was virtually painless because Dr. Khoo made sure I was very numb and he worked very confidently while assuring me that things would be ok. Joel constantly asked it I was doing ok and patted my hand to comfort me. Dr. Khoo made sure I did not need to take a break. Although I will be sore from the procedure, I know the work they did was all thoughtfully planned out to be sure the soreness would be kept to a minimum. I would also like to give a shout out to the technician that cleans my teeth; Bruce you do an amazing job of making sure my smile looks good and is healthy. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a good dental office. Having had bad experiences in the past, I was hesitant to return to the dentist. After years (yes... Many) I took my husbands advise and came to Artistic Smiles. I am so glad I did. To start, they are SUPER friendly. They take their time and made me feel at ease. Everyone was great, and Julio, who cleaned my teeth was very gentle.
