Went on a Sunday afternoon, surprisingly not too busy at the time. Ordered the Nutella toast and the Smoked Salmon toast with the Matcha Chia Pudding. I was worried the bread was going to be hard, but I could bite into it easily and the flavors blended well. The star of the show was the Matcha Chia Pudding! It didn't feel too "matcha-y", so if you're not a fan of matcha it's worth a try. It comes with fruit. I would just personally prefer less pineapple. A quaint little take out place with some outdoor seating. It's located in SALT so there's lots of other outdoor seating throughout the complex. The menu is limited so I decided to try their meatless, halloumi burger. It came on a brioche bun with arugula, avocado, tomato and red onion. It was delicious! The homemade aioli and tomato jam was a nice touch to the burger. It tasted like a lighter meat burger with not as much fat. Grilled nicely, tasty and good texture. The burger was served with kettle style green onion potato chips. The two goes well together. And for $14, I'll definitely go back for this burger. The service was accurate and about right,, considering it was lunchtime. I did have an iced tea, which you get fairly quickly, so the wait seemed less. Arvo happened to be near the place we were staying for vacation and i'm so glad it was! We came here for breakfast and got the Meatballs and Toast ($14.50), Egg Salad Toast ($11), Nutella Toast ($11), and Loaded Avocado Toast ($12.50). I was a little skeptical thinking that Arvo is only popular because it's an aesthetic cafe but everything was honestly delicious. The bread is the perfect thickness and the toppings are so fresh. There wasn't anything I didn't enjoy and it felt like the perfect way to start the day. I would definitely come give Arvo a try! I've never had a bad iced coffee here before the service. It's just so good straight to the point you order your coffee you get it at the end the ambience is really cute. The aesthetic is just simply gorgeous. It is part of the hotel so they do have additional seating in the hotel area, but the café does have extra seating right out front, which is not much but there is a seating area I pretty much love grabbing my coffee to go. First off Jay and gabby were an absolute pleasure. Jay was so personable and very helpful!!! I ended up getting the egg salad toast, the ricotta berry toast and two coffees. So the toasts are 5 stars all the way!!! The coffees though weren't very good. I got a vanilla latte and the rose latte and tbh I could barely taste the rose or the vanilla. I had asked them to make it extra pretty for me for the gram however the drinks weren't the best. I love the cute seating outdoors and there is one small indoor table, love the cute details of the flowers on the table it really adds a special touch as you can see I did a full on photo shoot. LOL. The latte was okay, but I felt that it tried to be too complicated in terms of flavor -- and ultimately the latte was not that great as a result. We were excited to visit Arvo because it has every millennial's dream-Instagram worthy interior, color scheme, and simple food and drinks you could not possibly not like! We ended up ordering the: Egg Salad Toast Matcha Latte Lavender Latte We had requested the drinks to be served in ceramics to be more eco friendly as well but that went out the door because we ended up with paper branded Arvo cups. Given the nice weather, the umbrellas and picnic tables are very fitting. While the egg salad toast and dill pickles were good, it was very unsettling when we found hair (sadly not mine) in our food which leads me to think it's not the cleanest here. I feel like this isn't the first time this has happened at Arvo, however the branding is probably outweighs this experience. Cute spot, food was delicious, but coffee wasn't my favorite! It was my first time trying this spot & my first impression was that it's a nice spot to chill at! They have a small seating area with umbrellas providing some shade. I ordered the loaded avocado toast (added smoked salmon) and the matcha chia pudding. After asking for the drinks to be made to be enjoyed in the cafe, they still served it in the plastic to-go cups, so not great since now it felt like a waste of plastic/cups and apparently the reusable ceramic cups are for show? There seems to be a consensus I've found for this place not being a 5 after going and I agree with this statement. While Arvo is a pretty looking place the product doesn't match. Even taking the over decade of hype aside it's not worth the price of admission. The only saving grace was the fast service through a crowd despite only 2 people being behind the counter and prices being low as a large is only $4.25. I ordered a chai latte with oatmilk and what I got was a watered down low tasting chai with only cinnamon on the top and bland inside with little to no taste to the milk added that I'm used to. Chai needs to have its usual subtle kick of energy that I and I'm sure others rely on to start our day and this failed with flying colors. I didn't even get food as I wasn't about to pay between $13-15 for toast that when looking at the plates others had was below average for the price. Overall this place is good for a hypebeast for those who don't care but I like a kicking seasoned coffee and didn't get that here. Overall this place needs to fix their overall taste and definitely prices to motivate me and I'm sure others to come back cause I will not be singing its praises. read more

When I come to ARVO, I typically get their nutella toast, smoked salmon toast, and an iced mocha or iced chocoal latte. Service is typically quick with drinks coming out first and food following. There is free water found in the inside of the shop, and there is easy breezy parking. My only complaint is their coffee. It isnt very strong, and majority of the taste comes from just the milk. Food was great no issues flavor was on point but I wouldn't recommend getting iced drinks from here. Ice was melted and the drink was still partially warm. You can tell they either mix it in the cup with ice before adding cold milk or they're pouring the shots over the ice. Came back here after awhile and honestly it's still really good! The Charcoal latte tasted just as I remembered, it has the perfect amount of sweetness and bitterness from the coffee. On a sunny and warm Thursday me and my little family wanted to treat ourselves to a nice lunch at SALT in Kakaako. We got there right before a lunch rush so we lucked out on parking in the structure and was able to order right away at their walk-up cafe. Bonus we got a table right away as well. We decided to choose Arvo for their "Toast" meals. We got their Loaded Avocado Toast and their Nutella Toast and strawberries. I topped off my meal with a Lavendar Latte (iced). Loaded Avo Toast is such a hit! They start off preparing it with 1 rather large piece of toast about 1 inch thick. It was crunchy but soft on the inside all at the same time. Slathered with avocado mash (seasoned), handful of arugula, several cherry tomatoes. 1 order is enough for 1 person. It will not get you overly full so you will leave pretty satisfied. (Side note... there is nothing worse than being in pain from eating way too much). The Nutella Toast used the same bread as the Avo Toast. It was also prepared perfectly crunchy and soft. They slather a generous amount of Nutella and covered the toast in bananas and strawberries. We opted to not have coconut flakes as we are not fans of coconut flakes in general. It was very delicious but I could have made one comment that the bananas were a bit too ripe for my liking. My beverage of choice was their Lavendar Latte. I opted for iced because it was a HOTHOTHOT day. Their Lavendar flavor was just enough to make me say yum! If my Lavendar lattes make me feel like I'm drinking a SPA in cup then they have succeeded at getting my drink right for me. Location is premiere! In the middle of SALT with tons of tables and chairs. They do have umbrellas but because of all the concrete it can definitely warm up real fast. I don't know what ARVO means or stands for but I do remember enjoying their toast at their former location now occupied by Paiko. Here you'll find it's a fantastic place to have lunch, brunch, snack, or just a sip at this cozy outdoorsy spot which provides a bunch of seatings and what brought me this day was their Arvohana Market yes it was back in August and I apologize as my exhausting work/life has drained the life out of my brains though this tiny yet might market still remains vividly in my mind as there was a great selection of art each item you can see is made with though and care. Beforehand I ordered their matcha chia pudding which starts with the chia seed pudding topped with fresh fruits and matcha whip cream no drink and you'll see why. While I waited for my order I shopped of course and I instantly was drawn to "okbet" and here you'll find items that are naturally dyed and paired with ARVO using their recycled coffee grounds and avocado pits which you can definitely still able to smell the coffee is incredible. I had to get a couple of shirts and she also receives recycled items from Curb and many items found around the islands.
