Since this place is located in the middle of kakaako parking may be an issue. Parking is free for the first hour with validation so that's a plus. It's an outside area so the weather has an impact on dining in. We had a table with an umbrella but the the sun decided to creep to where we had about a foot of shade on the table. The food however YUM. The matcha chia pudding was so light and refreshing. I don't think it's worth $11 tho lol. The avo toast was great. The bread was soft. Arvo Cafe is a fun coffee spot to hang out at because it's outdoors. They are located inside SALT at Kakaako across from the barn and Moku Kitchen. I enjoy coming here for brunch on the weekends and casually meeting up with friends. My favorite is the meatball toast because it's meaty and they give a generous amount of sauce to dip the toasted bread in. Their coffees and matcha are strong so I prefer something with no caffeine like the ombre lemonade. The toasts are priced between $9 - $12 and the drinks are about $4 - $6. The food usually takes 5 -10 minutes and the drinks are ready in under 5 minutes. The staff move quick and the customers also shuffle out quick too. If all the tables are full, give it a few minutes and something will open up. Some tables have and umbrella and some do not. You can also walk into the barn and find a table if you don't see any available. Arvo can get busy and crowded. If you want to avoid the crowds, go when they open in the morning. For parking, you can get validation if you park in the SALT at Kakaako parking structure. If you exit before the first hour, parking is free and if you stay past the 1 hour, it's $1. I don't recommend street parking because it's $.25 for 10 minutes. read more

Arvo is a spot in SALT perfect for a cute and casual brunch hangout. The menu is pretty small, and since it's mainly toast it doesn't seem like it would be too filling, but it was more satisfying than I thought it would be! We got the Loaded Avocado Toast and Smoked Salmon Toast. I was actually very surprised at how loaded the toast was. The bread was thick and hearty, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. If you're hungry, I don't think one toast is really enough for a full meal. Maybe get a few with your friends and share. The ambience of the seating area is also really cute. The restaurant itself is more like a stand, and there are various tables surrounding it that are first-come, first-serve. If you come on a busy sunday like I did, the tables may be taken, but SALT also has a separate outdoor seating area that you can grab a table at. Since it was crowded, the wait for the food was pretty long but there were only two girls working so I think they were just trying to keep up with all of the customers. Since these toasts are pretty pricey (about $10 a piece), It can add up to be a bit of an expensive brunch, especially considering you can probably make these yourself at home if you really wanted to. But for the quality of the food and the cute outdoor seating, I would definitely recommend Arvo for a nice catch-up with friends or a Sunday brunch every now and then. read more

We lucked out and found a spot with nice shade. The ombré lemonade was absolutely amazing I haven't tasted anything like it. Super refreshing. The avocado toast was great and a perfectly filling healthy breakfast to start the rest of our day. Fun cute spot. I would say that the ricotta toast was not my favorite, the texture of the ricotta did not go well with the bread and did not add flavor. It was more of a honey and fruits bread. The smoked salmon had a generous amount of creamed cheese and was very delicious. The loaded avocado toast just as it's name applies is mostly avocado with a strong taste of arugula.
