I thought the ambience was fine. I side is not huge but there is outdoor seating which is nice. I had veggie tacos which were AMAZING! The veggies were so so fresh!! Wowsers. I'm so glad Asada made it through the pandemic. I'm still in love with this place and would have been heartbroken if they had closed. Ate here with the fam and practically ordered the entire menu today. We ordered the guac and salsa with chips as our appetizer. We also tried a few new (to us) dishes to include carne asada fries, crispy carnitas and the carne asada plate. The poblano cream sauce that comes with the carne asada fries is to die for! It's pretty much the star of the show - and should be served with every dish! The carne asada plate is huge, so come hungry. Our eyes were a bit bigger than our stomach and we had a hard time finishing everything. The crispy carnitas are dressed with a nice tomatillo sauce and served with rice and beans. You can make them into little tacos with the side of tortillas they provide or just eat them with a fork and knife. We finished off our meal with the most amazing churros. The dipping sauce isn't overly sweet so it makes the perfect end to another fabulous meal. read more

Actually this place was kind of a letdown. The food was average in terms of taste but prices were above average. I had the 2 taco plate with rice /beans. Steak soft taco and short rib crispy taco. Again nothing stood out for me. I didnt even care for the toppings. Had to ask for salsa because it was bland and kinda dry. Found an eyelash in one of my crispy chicken tacos. I noticed it after one bite of my taco and it was lighter colored than mine so I know it wasn't me. I asked for another plate and then I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw now like 3 pieces of lint right on top of the NEW TACO PLATE. My appetite was ruined for the rest I obviously didn't eat the second plate and asked for a refund. Staff didn't even apologize lol. So revolting to think that this is how they serve their customers food I don't even want to think about if they wash their hands or not after the bathroom. Never coming back. So gross. Well, I decided to try Asado for a quick dinner and took the food to go based on everybody's recommendations. But I am really sorry to say that I'm very disappointed. I ordered the Asada bowl with chicken and it was absolutely drenched in a mayonnaise based dressing with a hint of avocado in it. Seriously how do you ruin Really nice ingredients with so much mayo? Now a new employee (young woman with dark hair) is making margaritas from a new recipe . Love the location of Asada, parking is primarily street parking and the people dining seem to be locals, which just pushes you to enjoy the food that much more! As for food, I ordered the Jerk Chicken Soft Taco Plate, coming with two tacos, rice, beans and salsa. The tacos are super super filling, stacked to the TOP with meat. If you're trying to fill up without the typical laguna beach pricing, this spot is a perfect opportunity. I would say the tacos are simple and classic, really not complaints. Saw some others ordering the burger as well and I won't lie, initially I judged their choice to get a burger at a mexican spot, BUT, wow did it look good. So if you're on the ledge between the tacos or the burger, to avoid the food jealousy, get the burger! We recently discovered this place and decided to order takeout. Ordered the chicken burrito and the shrimp bowl. Both were delicious. We ordered using the app which made contactless pickup seamless. The burrito was perfectly balanced with tender pieces of chicken. I noticed that most of their burritos come wet by default but requested a dry burrito which they accommodated. The guacamole was fresh and a little spicy which I like. The shrimp bowl was also excellent. The shrimp was nicely seasoned. Will order a shrimp burrito next time. They offer outdoor seating. Another great option would be to order pickup from this place and walk to Heisler park and enjoy your food with an ocean view. Will be back. Bout a 10 minute walk but it was nice seeing the art shops along the way. I had the short rib tacos and the shrimp tacos and they were absolutely amazing. There's literally nothing bad I can say about these tacos. Both were seasoned to perfection and the salsas they provided were SMASHING. I appreciate a taco joint with a great salsa. The extra hot one was perfect. It had intense heat but it also had a great depth in flavor. If you don't like intense heat, the green salsa and (smoked chipotle?) are great alternatives too as they are pretty mild. The corn was also smashing. I don't know where the corn comes from, but it's one of the sweetest corns I've tasted in California. The tang and spice from the Tajin seasoning also elevated and complements the corn as well. The outdoor seating was very nice and well shaded. The staff were also very kind and attentive. I can't say anything bad about this place really. It's not your typical taqueria or street taco vendor. Great spot for a quick lunch on a weekday afternoon. Came in Friday afternoon to find plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. After ordering at their window, we were promptly seated, handed our drinks and our starting order of crispy, well-salted fresh tortilla chips and a flavorful unique salsa dip. I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos - 2 tacos with hefty servings of perfectly grilled shrimp, topped with a light mango salsa and delicately laid in two soft tortillas each. True taco fanatics know, when given two tortillas, you eat what you can with the first tortilla, freely letting anything that falls out fall into the bottom tortilla so you get a taco and half with each. However, these portions were so generous, it felt like I'd gotten 4 tacos for the price of 2! Table service was adequate as there was one young lady behind the bar truly tending to all the customers while the curly haired young man was far too occupied on his phone to acknowledge us trying to get his attention. I came here yesterday and got the chilaquiles burrito but it was so salty that I couldn't eat it. I kindly asked if I could switch for something else and the men behind the counter were so upset about this. I even offered to pay the difference and the guy with curly hair rolled his eyes and stared at me with cook while he was telling him the story and One of them started shaking their head . It was all do dramatic and uncomfortable. They ended up switching it for tacos but I had to tell the guy how emotional he's making the situation. If you are looking for some good food in a good spot, then this place has it all! The location itself is pretty nice, but the inside is even better! Has all the TV going (mainly on sports) with plenty of options on beer. I didn't get to enjoy the beers but had the pleasure of feasting on the burritos and tacos. Overall the food was great, the restaurant had an amazing feel to it, and the service was top-notch. The people who worked at the restaurant are very friendly and that just adds to the great stuff already at the restauarnt. Came to this local taco joint after finishing an 8 mile hike in Laguna. We were famished and this spot was nearby with lots of outdoor patio and indoor seating. They have a window where you can order and then you take your name tag and put it at your table where servers bring your food out to you. I tried the calamari taco and shrimp taco. The food looked amazing and tasting great as well. The have an extensive menu so you can get a taco, quesadilla, bowl, salad, etc. Will definitely come back after another hike. So glad we chose take out from here for Cinco de Mayo during quarantine! We ordered Short rib(crispy taco), calamari and blackened Mahi tacos, mango maragaritas and chips and guacamole with a side of rice and beans. The crispy short rib tacos were my favorite. The beef was seasoned well and tortillas greasy and crunchy but not too much. The calamari on the tacos was more of a breaded calamari steak. I was expecting a more crunchy and thinner cut. The blackened Mahi tacos were well seasoned and cooked perfectly--not dried out at all. Guac and chips were fantastic but I would not recommend the rice and beans. The beans were bland and the rice was white. The mango margaritas tasted like orange juice and tequila. I'd like to give the house margarita a shot. Hopefully it was just a fluke. Overall, the food was good with some minor flaws. If you're going now when it's takeout only, be prepared to wait about 30-40 minutes longer than the online order receipt recommends.
