This is the best steak in Utah County!! I had the Entrana and it was unbelievably delicious. A great crust on the outside, seasoned so well, cooked to a perfect medium rare, tender on the inside. It was dynamite. My wife had the Pollo Tropical and she loved it. Our friends had burgers and raved about those as well. It's such a good atmosphere in the restaurant too. Every table had lively conversation going on but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. Everyone was excited to see what the table next to them were ordering. Best dining experience I've ever had in Utah County after living here for over six years. Atmosphere is wonderful - feels like you've left Utah entirely. Staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The fresh bread is incredibly fluffy and the two dipping options are delicious. We had the beef empanadas and the pastry was a lovely mix of buttery and flaky while the meat was flavored nicely. Next came a fresh, beautiful salad with a light house vinaigrette bursting with spicy citrus. We had the tropical half chicken as our entree, which was larger than an entire grocery rotisserie chicken and so succulent and moist that we couldn't believe it. Was recommended by a friend to check this place out and I absolutely loved it. The vibe of the restaurant almost makes you feel like you're at a restaurant in a beach in argentina. The decor is great. I loved the fact that they use circular wood plates rather than the stereotypical plate. It really added to the esthetic of the restaurant. For our apitizer we ordered all 3 kinds of empanadas: the ham and cheese, meat, and chicken and the ham and cheese was by far the best. The ham wasn't overly salty and they didn't skimp out on the cheese either. It was heavenly. Our entree was followed by the Parrillada Asado which came with meat, sausages, a blood sausage, tripe, pork, ribs, potatoes and other veggies. Overall it mostly tasted great and was definitely unique since I have never seen another latin restaurant serve blood sausage and/or tripe. The meat was fantastic. I had never had a blood sausage before and after trying it for the first time I definitely don't plan on trying it again. Wasn't my of tea, but I'm sure people who typically do like it would think it was good. The tripe was very flavorful and we'll cooked as well. We ended our meal with the tres leches which was really good but not much different than the one you can get at cafe rio. The service was also great. The woman who helped us was from Argentina and was super incredibly nice, upbeat and helpful. As far as improvements go when I had ordered the empanadas at first wasn't given the chicken one which was quickly fixed by our waitress and the sides that we ordered were pretty lame. We got the mashed potatoes and side salad. The mashed potatoes consisted of 2 small ice cream scoops and the side salad wasn't far different from a side salad at McDonald's unfortunately. This is the best kept secret in Orem! I'm not sure what took us so long to check it out. We went on a Friday night and it was magical. There were twinkling lights and dancing and singing and families. The food is amazing! I highly recommend the steak and Asado fries. The pineapple mint drink is awesome! This is about the third time we have been to this restaurant for dinner. They have excellent dinners for two that involve a large assortment of meats on a little grill. They are prepared well and are very juicy and delicious. They have a crusty bread and dipping sauces. The chimichurri sauce is amazing. Ask for some extra Chimichurri sauce to use as a dipping sauce for the meet as well. Each dinner comes with a choice of sides which includes potatoes or mashed potatoes which are prepared very nicely from actual potatoes. They also have rice or a house salad. We often sit outsideWhich is OK as long as the sun isn't hitting you in the face. They are playing Latin music and the service is excellent. They have an assortment of delicious desserts just inside the restaurant where you can see them in a case. However, the meal is so filling that you will be lucky to have room for dessert. I have been to Asado three times. Our most recent visit was the last straw. The owner is very passionate and excitable. In our first couple of visits he would come by the table once during our meal to introduce himself and ask how our dinner was. Totally fine and what you'd expect from a restaurant like this. However, we learned during our third and final visit that this guy is extremely arrogant and rude. Dealbreaker -- never coming back just because of him. Here's why... My wife and I took our daughter on a date here and we each ordered our meal. My wife and I each got the burger and asked for it to be done medium. A few minutes into eating our meal, my wife noticed that the inside of her burger was completely raw -- like dark red and not even warm. (mine was cooked medium, just the way it should be) We notified our waiter and he was great. He apologized and said he'd fix it. He took the burger back to the kitchen and said that they'd make a new one and bring it out. About 10 minutes later, they brought back the same burger with a couple of bites out -- they just heated up the meat and put it back on the burger and brought it out, but the fries on the plate were gone and she hadn't even touched those. We asked if they could bring out some new fries and told them just to scratch my wife's burger because by this point my daughter and I had finished our dinner and had shared some of our stuff with her since it was taking a while to sort out the new burger. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought the check and it had the full price breakdown for everything, including my wife's burger and fries. We asked the waiter if he could correct this because of our problems and he was really cool and said no problem -- he went away to go get us a new check. In the meantime, the owner came over and he came in hot (!!!) -- he seriously had a super intense/I'm-about-to-lose-it look in his eyes. He started the conversation by saying "so what is the problem that we have here?". We laughed a little because we thought he was joking a little and being sarcastic because of the problems we had but it was clear after a few seconds that he was dead serious. This dude was upset -- the sort of reaction you'd expect if you told him that his kid was ugly or something. At any rate, the owner proceeded to tell us that we are wrong and he is right. They don't undercook their meat and they don't make mistakes with stuff like this. The meat is supposed to be red and that we don't understand meat like he does and that he is frustrated that we'd ask for part of our meal to be taken care of because, after all, we did eat some of it. Here's the kicker... no joke, the owner asked how many bites my wife ate out of the burger and then said he'd subtract the rest of it from our tab but not the two bites that she ate (!!!!!!!!!!). We were speechless. We didn't want to stir things up, especially in front of our daughter, so we just told him to do whatever he thinks is best to keep his customers happy. As it turns out, he charged us 25% for the burger (and fries, which were taken away and not eaten). At the end of our conversation he said "I can't believe that you are accusing me of being wrong because I just don't make mistakes and neither do my cooks. I apologize if you don't understand how meat should be cooked." Then he stormed off. On our way out we made eye contact and I tried to take the high road and I just gave him a little smile and said "have a good night" -- he was restraining himself and it seriously looked like he was about to rage. Didn't say a word back. Just a hard stare back at us. You can't make this stuff up. This guy's ego has lost him a customer and on multiple occasions we've gotten laughs and looks of shock as we've told our friends and family about this. We've moved on and I'm guessing this owner has probably forgotten about it but hopefully this is helpful for those who read this. To sum it up, the food is good. In spite of the problems we had, I did enjoy my burger and you do get a good bang for the buck here. I enjoy unique cuisines from around the world and was really wanting to be a regular here but I refuse to give another cent to the guy who runs this place. Hopefully this owner grows up a little and can treat his customers better. I'd like to give him another shot but until then I'd steer clear and give your business to restaurant owners who aren't complete jerks. read more

My family and I have been to Asado Argentinian Grill twice. I am originally from Brazil, have been in the US for over 20 years, lived in several states around the country, and never had the experience of feeling as if I am trying authentic South American food, until I found out Asado Argentinian Grill!! Even the Brazilian steak houses around don't bring me back home as this wonderful place does! Everything you order is absolutely delicious, the food is consistent every time you go, the meat is to die for, perfectly seasoned as I remember when I was a young lady back in Brazil, eating my sweet mother's homemade meals!! Their bread is the best, every meat dish they serve is done to perfection, just as it was in the steak houses I grew up eating in Brazil, even though this is an Argentinian place! Their milanesa is done exactly as I used to eat in my home country and their empanadas are the best I have had in the US! The service has been excellent and the owner makes us feel very welcomed as he stops at every table to greet his customers! I like this restaurant a lot. Came once awhile ago during the world cup and it was packed with fans watching games. Little bit of a language barrier with my waitress. Wanted the chicken cordon but then she said they weren't able to serve any chicken at the time. Ordered a milanesa sandwich instead with mashed potatoes. The gave me fries not mashed potatoes, oh well. The meat in the sandwich was good. Got some gnocchi but it was pretty salty. Got cuernito con dulce de leche which I loved. I just recently celebrated my 30th birthday at Asado, I had over 30 guests attend and I couldn't have picked a better place! They were able to accommodate me and all my guests , the service was excellent and the staff was friendly an attentive. The food was full of flavor and cooked to perfection, my guests could not stop talking about how amazing the experience was. They also have wine and other alcoholic beverages to enjoy while you eat and enjoy the karaoke and music show that is every Friday night. I don't leave many reviews but I do want to give a shout out to the owner, as he was polite , attentive and went above and beyond to make my 30th birthday experience a memorable one. My husband and I decided on a 3 star rating because the chicken sandwich I ordered was horribly dry but my husbands roast beef, ham, and fried egg sandwich was amazing.
