I needed to send a UPS, FEDEX and USPS and ASAP American saved me so much time by being a one stop shipping store. They helped me send an international package which was a bit confusing with the address but the staff handled it. They are friendly and I like that they show the price comparisons from each shipper so you know you're getting the best deal. I especially like that there wasn't a wait in line for service. Please note I reluctantly have been a customer for some time. (boxholder) They will not provide a receipt for drop off packages, even though I am a box holder? I wonder if the lost $600 package has anything to do with that? Do you want to chance it too? The customer service is not so friendly if your requirements are not profitable for them- (using their shipper #) or you don't have to buy a box etc. Your a bother- There are plenty of places to ship - go to an official UPS Store- for your UPS needs- not this place. Boxes are cheaper most EVERYWHERE else as well...If I could give them a lower score I would-- it' s boxes, it's shipping...you can get this stuff anywhere --- I recommend all their competition-- shipping, for notary- and if you still don't have one- for your faxing needs- simple customer service! read more

Price calculate, pack, provide boxes, print labels from your email- whatever you need. I went to them to ship a couple of packages parcel post in the USA. The clerk told me that anything over 13 ounces could NOT be shipped parcel post, and could only be shipped Priority Mail. And said she would include delivery confirmation for me. (Delivery confirmation is optional and an additional 45 cents, but she didn't even ask me if I wanted it and included it) I paid $35.09 to ship two small light packages, and called my Mom who does Ebay because it just didn't seem right. She said of course I can send Parcel Post, so I went back and got my money back. The clerk got flustered and told me that she was only "going off what the computer says". Basically she got caught. I had no trouble sending the packages at the regualar post office parcel post for half the price. Careful, they will try to rip you off! read more

I always use their location as a drop off and never had any issues. People complain about getting charged for tape...well, they don't get it for free then why give it for free to the customer? I have witness some very rude customers over the years and have been impressed by the professionalism used when it comes to their customer service. It is a one stop shop. I have had a box there for a few years now. 90% of the time it is great. Every once in a while, I will get a notification that a package was delivered from the seller when I go in they do not tell me I have a package. I have to stop, ask them to go look and then they find it. I should not have to ask, the slip should be in my box notifying me I have a package. This is a drag. Like I said, it is not common. Thank goodness for this business. After 3 unsuccessful attempts at another notary in town, I called ahead to see if the notary was in. The pleasant lady on the phone said he was out to lunch but would be back in 20 minutes. I drove directly there thinking I was going to have to wait around awhile for him to return. Zero stars! Anyone using their services is a fool. Go to a reputable place. I posted a package with them, priority mail, on September 8, 2015. The Burbank post office did not receive the package until September 10. It must have sat in the back room of American Pack and Ship for two days! It's shameful to charge $31.00 for a 2 pound 2 ounce package and then have it sit around for two days. SHAMEFUL. Caveat emptor! read more
