I am beyond frustrated with the service and lack of accountability at this Ford dealership. About a year and a half ago, I received a recall notice for my 2014 Ford Explorer. I immediately called and scheduled an appointment to get the issue resolved and also booked regular maintenance for the same visit. When I arrived, I was told the part needed for the recall wasn't available -- something they could have easily informed me of before my appointment. Instead, I wasted my time and left with an unresolved safety issue. Over the next year, I repeatedly called to check on the part's availability -- after 3 months, then 6 months, then nearly a full year -- and every time I was told the same thing: "We don't have the part." Only recently did they finally contact me to come in and get the recall fixed. I took time off work and showed up for my scheduled 9:30 a.m. appointment. To my disbelief, they again told me the part wasn't available. After 3 hours of waiting they put tape on my car and told me that's all they could do for me. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!! Because of their failure to complete the recall repair in a timely manner, the seams around my windshield have separated, and now the windshield makes noise while driving. This is not just an inconvenience -- it's a potential safety hazard. Ford and this dealership are responsible for ensuring the integrity and safety of their vehicles, and they've clearly failed to do so in my case. I shouldn't have to chase a dealership for over a year to have a safety recall addressed. It's disappointing, unprofessional, and unsafe. I strongly urge Ford to review this location's handling of recalls and customer communication. No customer should be treated this way. read more

I recently picked up a screw on the road in West Asheville and drove to the closest tire shop. They tried to sell me a whole new set of tires when I told them I didn't feel that was necessary. I called and spoke to Drake at the Asheville Ford dealership QuikServe and he told me to bring the truck straight to him. He was able to repair the tire and put air and check everything for me to make sure it was fully safe and dependable.. I will eventually buy a new tire maybe even four but when I get them, I will remember Drake and the excellent customer service I received from Asheville Ford Quick Serve. read more

My experience with Asheville Ford I purchased a car from Asheville Ford online before the sale, Iwas assured that the car was in top-notch condition with no defects upon receiving the car. I immediately noticed several issues and problems with it. The convertible top did not operate. One of the seatbelts did not retract and there were cracks in the leather seats. None of those issues were disclosed before the sale. I immediately contacted my salesman Bobby, who in turn contacted his manager, Mark Hans. I spoke to Mr. hands who was very rude and told me that I have already signed the paperwork and it is 'your car now,deal with it' and offered no remedy for the undisclosed defects. So, if you're contemplating buying a Ford Eco boost titanium Escape; trust me just don't. I do not know how Ford can stand behind such a horrible product and they know it is. I bought a 2019 Ford Escape brand new in 2019. It now has 70,000 miles on it at 63,000 miles, had to replace sensors, last summer. In august, last month, the water pump malfunctioned and burned up the engine, but did not send any signals to let me know that the engine was damaged until it blew. They know this is an issue and they haven't done any recalls. Then the ignition coil went out. Now it won't start. Advance Auto scanned it and said I need a catalytic converter. Thank God I do have a trusted mechanic, but this is a money pit. Neither the dealership nor the company itself were helpful. read more

Ridiculously pricey. Poor follow up communication. I told the dealership I was bringing my car into them because I couldn't get it inspected as there was a light that came on. I believe it was the safety light but I couldn't recall. $1500 later I got my car returned to me. I went directly to get it inspected and it was rejected. However the inspectors thought the DMV would accept it. They did not. Apparently I needed to drive the car for 50 miles for it to "reset" so the inspection could be completed. Since I told the Ford dealership the reason I brought the car in was so that it would pass inspection I don't think it was too much to ask that they would have advised me of this. I went back to the dealership. Helpful gentleman in the service dept seated me in the Manager's office. Very unpleasant experience with the Manager. He seemed annoyed I was in his office. read more

Looking to buy an Aviator. Found one we liked on their website. Sent them message asking for best price. Wendy calls and texts me a number. We drive over an hour to get there. Are first told that the car has not yet arrived, then are told it is there. After a wait we are shown a similar, but not same car (more bells and whistles.) I go directly to manager Josh, he says the car I wanted is not saleable, has some sort of leak (that he will not further describe) and that it is being returned to the manufacturer. I scheduled an appointment for Super Duty alignment and oil change. When I arrived, service reception at the main Ford Service center pointed me over to their Quick Lane service across the street. When I arrived at the Quick Lane they pointed me back over to the Ford Service because they (Quick Lane) couldn't do heavy vehicle alignments. When I asked if my original appointment noted my vehicle type, the service rep at QL affirmed that it did and that he didn't know why they didn't schedule it with the correct service team. And when I asked if I could just go across the street and get my scheduled alignment, the service team said they were booked and that I should schedule an appointment next time. When I finally tracked down and spoke with the service manager, Richard, he told me I could name drop him and get into Wheel City for my alignment. But when I called them, and mentioned Richard, they couldn't get me in until two weeks later. Why should you trust your vehicle to a service team that can't even handle scheduling. Asheville Ford failed to measure up on the most basic of things. The whole experience was comical and clumsy. read more

This is by far the WORST dealership I have ever been to! I will never return and after reading several other reviews, apparently I'm not the only one. Long story short, my 2014 Ford Escape Titanium Edition (1.6CL) has been having coolant leak issues since I bought it in February. I've been told to take it to the dealership, due to a recall. I called this dealership months ago, and the lady who set up my appt ran my VIN number, confirmed there was a recall for this same issue, said my car has actually even been repaired once before for this same issue, and an appt was made. First available was months away, and they even called and rescheduled a couple days before, so I had to wait an additional week and a half. But that's not why I'm leaving this review. The woman who set this appt up informed me they would run a diagnostics when they first got the car, to ensure it is the same (gasket, I believe?) that's causing the leak. If so, it would take about three days to repair and all costs would be covered. If not, I would NOT incur any costs, unless first informed. Not only are they RUDE and unprofessional - Tiffany, the receptionist, and Jason, the manager - but they're now saying it's NOT covered under any recall. And are even charging me over a hundred dollars just for the diagnostics to be ran. Which I was specifically told I would NOT be charged for. Since they've been so kind as to waste all this time for nothing, I am on my way to take care of it in person! They either will give me my car without charging me the diagnostics, as they stated previously when this was set up, or I will raise hell in front of every single customer in that place! And I will be on the phone first thing in the morning filing a complaint with corporate and anywhere else I can possible! This place is an absolute joke read more

Never, ever, EVER go to this Ford dealer. I've had wonderful experiences with the Exxon mechanic shop at the corner of Long Shauls and Hendersonville. Go there. Go anywhere else. But never go to AVL Ford. I literally cannot say enough horrible things about this dealership. I could not have had a worse experience from start to finish. Horrendous customer service. They lie and cheat you. Pick and choose what work gets done on your car, even when you're scheduled for certain things, they'll simply only do half of it. They treat you like an inconvenience. They never call or email you back when they say they will. They take down copious amounts of notes and then lose them or fail to log them, so that you arrive for your appointment and they have no idea why you're there. They take forever to do the work. They tell you that a shuttle has been scheduled in advance to bring you back to work, but that isn't true. You wind up being left stranded for hours waiting for the driver. I've lost hours of paid work as a result. But the worst part is they ignore issues on your car. Something they ignored when they replaced my tires turned out to be a major issue for me later. They acknowledged fault and swore they would work on my car for free. Same issues every step of the way and even then, they only did about a third of the work they were supposed to do. They replaced 3/5 lug nuts on one wheel, swearing the other two were fine. Except when I tested them with my Ford-issued lug wrench, the two they ignored were so swollen I couldn't even get the wrench on. They told me it was fine, and in their opinion they didn't owe me anything. I explained that I literally couldn't change a flat like this and that their own mechanics and a third part told me the lugs were not usable in this condition (this was the bulk of the problem in the first place). They actually made me pay for the other two lugs, even though it was part of what they originally promised me. Then, they told me they didn't inspect my one wheel, which I had specifically asked them to do. When I pressed them, they magically swore they did the work. It became a huge back and forth where no one was giving me a straight answer. They were all whispering together but not one person told me the same thing twice. When I went to checkout, they had purposefully not given my paperwork to the cashier. The cashier was like, "This is not how we do things, someone broke protocol." So SHE came out and said, "Where are this woman's keys and paperwork?" And she was told there is no paperwork and her keys are in the car. The cashier then replied, "That's not how this works. The keys are tagged and go with the paperwork to ensure everything is accurate." Well, I demanded they print the paperwork and when they eventually did, the work they claimed to have done on my wheel was not listed on there. So now I have to pay another mechanic to take the wheel off my car and inspect it, because I have ZERO reason to trust that they actually did what they claimed. What kind of creeps go out of their way to hide what they did and didn't do on your vehicle? And when you start to defend yourself, they act like you're the worst customer they've ever met. Even saying things like "What's it gonna take to get you to leave, because I'm done with this conversation?" Or "Why do you think you're entitled to free stuff that we don't owe you?" And when I said, "I didn't ask for these free services, you promised them to be because you screwed up so bad the last time," the response is basically, "Then be grateful we did any of it, even if it was not the work you needed done." Also, if this is an important issue to you: Not a single person in the sales department wears a mask. The shuttle driver wears it below his nose, as did the cashier. I couldn't wait outside for the shuttle because it was literally below freezing, so I had to stay inside and avoid everything who was walking by. read more

I called to ask about an oil change service for my Lincoln. I was put through to the quick lane dept. I said Good Morning to the man who answered the phone and he said nothing. I said Good Morning again and he finally responded but short. He answered my question but in a way that was rude. I do not do business with people who talk to potential customers as if they don't need the business and who have no phone etiquette. read more

What a great customer care experience I had here. I took my 2017 Ford Edge in to have some recall work done and to have the engine checked out because the light came on. I was notified that the engine light code came back as a misfire in cylinder two and that it suggested that further tests were needed to determine the cause. The tests revealed a fault in the long block and that the engine would need to be replaced. I was kept up to date on the delivery of the new motor and the time frame of the replacement of the old engine. The car was cleaned inside and out when I arrived to pick it up. I even got to submit a form for a partial reimbursement for the cost of my car rental and it only cost me $100 for the engine replacement since I had the extended warranty. A huge thank you to Megan, the customer service rep and to Jason, the service technician who handled my vehicle throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Asheville Ford for service on your vehicle, especially if it's covered under a warranty. read more

The sales dept is great at Asheville Ford, but the Service dept is a big disappointment. I had to wait 6 days for an appointment to bring my car in. I told them what the problem was so they would have the part (an antenna). I arrived at 9 am but they didn't even look at the car until 3 pm. At 3:30 they told me that they needed to order an antenna and I would need to make another appt to have it repaired!!!!! What a waste of time. I had to wait another 5 days for another appt and was at the dealership from 10 am to 3:30 again. I will not be returning here for my service needs since they obviously don't make good customer service a priority. read more

Called twice to make sure an advertised vehicle was there before driving an hour. Absolutely assured that it was. I went straight there only to find the vehicle was not there and received no explanation or apology. Immediately showed a more expensive vehicle. Classic bait and switch. Then when I got a price on others as I was looking around. Noticed that they tried to sneak in some kind of $299 theft protection into the quote that the dealer couldn't even explain why I would need. Also they try to show you a payment that includes an expensive extended warranty without showing on the disclosure form how much I'm paying for it. Shady all around read more
