Amazing folks at MuraWay Movers! **Reflecting on our Saturday 12/18/21 experience** Hugo (the foreman), Ivan, and Vova literally just finished helping my parents and I move from Carson to Lake Elsinore and we continued to exclaim how wonderful they all were. We had a whole day of moving a house of 31 years with them, and they all went above and beyond. To be honest, the whole buying a house process stretched out that my mom had to reschedule twice--- but Lisa gave so much grace and patience. Then, today, moving day--- it was wild. While I initially thought the big truck wouldn't get filled-- Hugo, Ivan, and Vova found a way with their Tetris like minds and got most of our belongings in all in one piece and even put two beds back together! I think the biggest help was just them offering so much more, particularly asking questions and double checking if we preferred something to be moved in one place or another. MuraWay Moving is a GAME CHANGER! Nick and Daniel were my movers and they were amazing, professional and STRONG lol! We got everything out of my old space and into the new one in under 3 hours, and ya girl moved from Koreatown to The Valley, which is kinda a trek (depending on the time of day). My favorite part was that they put the boxes in the correct rooms and unwrapped everything and were gentle on my brand new floors! And, before they arrived, I received a text message showing me their route, so I knew were the truck was at all times. I just got done moving today, and even though I'm exhausted and it's nearly midnight... I have a lot to say about hiring MuraWay!! First of all: HIRE THEM!!! We had to prepare for an extremely last minute move. We needed help asap. I requested a quote on their site on Thursday and got a call within 10 mins. SUPER RESPONSIVE! I needed to book for SATURDAY (today) and it would be less than 48 hours from book to service. I believe I spoke to Lisa, who absolutely calmed my anxiety about the last minute moving, and she was the absolute sweetest at talking me through all of the available services and fees, truck sizes, team sizes, etc. She even had a team available to meet our needs! And they could meet us at house 1 between 9 and 10am. Perfect. Mike, Oleg, and Nick showed up promptly at 9am! They brought a big truck to accommodate and navigated it super pro. Our old place is on a SUPER narrow street, and they were able to get the truck set up without even blocking the street. (If you know narrow LA streets, you know what I mean!) These guys... I could go on and on about how incredible they were. - They helped us pack what remaining items we had to box. - They paid extremely special attention to all of our stuff but especially our fragile vintage furniture. - They are THOUGHTFUL with your things: how it all fits in the truck, grouping like items together so it's a quick unload. At the same time being quick and efficient with their planning and loading. - They drove 75 miles to our new place!!! And because of all sorts of traffic it took 2 hours!!! And they didn't even complain!!! They showed up at the new place ready to get shit done. - They moved FAST and there was NOT ONE DENT, SCRATCH, NOTHIN! They took incredible care with everything! Literally everything! They worked HARD, non stop, for 10 hours for us today. When I say they showed up, they SHOWED UP. We had SO MUCH TO DO today and they helped us tremendously. Another note: they were so chill with my mom packing up around them and patient with her desire for small talk as we worked LOL. They were so sweet and cool, And chatting with her kept her anxiety down through this super stressful last minute move. They might not realize their positive mental impact for us - but I think this further illustrates how great they were. MuraWay is upfront with all their pricing on their site and will talk you through it at booking. It is hourly rates but these dudes worked fast and hard and we're not wasting any time. I will emphasize the efficiency here! They earn every dollar and don't waste time - but at the same time, they are one of the most affordable companies I've worked with in LA. Note: there are "up charges" for distance travel (at 75 miles there's going to be additional fees, hello), and they had additional boxes/materials for purchase as needed, but all of the prices are very very reasonable. This service was so perfect, MuraWay will be my forever number one go-to and will be THE company I recommend to all my friends. I don't even write many reviews on Yelp but my experience was so over the top incredible, I had to run and post 5 stars!! Thank you Mike, Oleg, and Nick!! You are AMAZING!!! They moved for us today. $1251 from Thousand Oaks to Orange County. 3hrs packing, 2 hours driving x2 (they say they had to charge double b/c it is more than 50 miles) and 2hrs unpacking. We paid $139/hr with credit card. Cash would be $129/hr. It really sucks that they did not have senior discount for moving furniture for an elderly man in his late 70's. Mauricio has a lot of experience, but he was initially very abrasive and rude! He did though respected our expensive collection of furniture. He wrapped them very carefully. Everything was moved to destination all intact. We gave him a tip of $50. His apprentice, we also gave $50 tip, on the other had worked hard but had to endure verbal abuse from Mauricio. We did not enjoy seeing not so kind treatment of his apprentice. Mauricio reprimanded, denigrate, yelled, mocked his apprentice in front of us. We often reminded him to be kind but it's unrelenting horrible treatment of his apprentice. We would rather see team work and respectful of one another. Not sure why the company sent out one guy who is experienced and meticulous in his work and he had to carry the burden of being with an apprentice. Not fair to him either. Not fair to either one of them. Not fair to us for the delay in work and we ended having to bear the burden. Their truck broke down in front of my neighbor's house for hours. We also paid for their delay. Not professional in this fashion. The neighbor could not get out of his driveway for hours. No word of thank you or to compensate our neighbor at all. read more

WARNING- This company was so awful we questioned several times if they were a scam. They appear to be a broker rather than an actual moving company. Every time we paid (deposit, first move, delivery) we paid different entities. Following our first phone call everyone we spoke with was rude, patronising and unprofessional. They charged my card without my permission or waiting for me to sign anything. On several occasions they claimed that they sent me emails that I never received. On both pick-up and delivery the movers also arrived hours late. We had a small number of items (moving from a one bedroom apartment). When our goods got delivered it took HOURS because the movers were totally unprofessional. They seemed to have no idea what they were doing. When they left they scurried off (before I could tip them) and left all of the packing material, boxes and tape they used just laying outside my front door in the rain. I wish I had done more research and not just believed the online reviews. It seems like they are legit in CA but they are NOT authorised to do out of state moves. Think carefully before using them. read more

Can't recommend enough these guys. Moving is always a lot of stress and they reduce it to insignificant amounts. We decided to get rid of our storage unit and move everything to the shed at the place where we currently live. I quoted a bunch of companies on Yelp and even though moving companies have pretty much the same pricing structure, I decided to stick with Mura Way because they were able to accommodate my short notice, their response was very professional and detailed, and they mentioned that they are fully insured and work up to code, which is super important. The guys were on time and started loading without wasting any time. From the way they work, I can tell they have tons of experience, everything was done fast but also with attention to small details. When I was loading the same storage a couple years ago with a uhaul truck and a random guy from Craigslist - it took us twice the time and twice the amount of space back then, so I was amazed how tightly they pack everything. Unloading was done in the same professional manner, they put all our stuff in the storage and did a great job again. At the end of the day, nothing was broken, it took less time (=money!) than I expected, what else you can you wish from moving? And after everything was done, Nick the owner called to make sure everything was cool and I was satisfied with the way his crew works.
