Spent over $7500 here....and am excitement disappointed! We were not quite ready to get our furniture delivered and we were assured that everything would be held for us since we paid for it. I heard this place wasn't good to deal with and had crappy furniture but the price was right and they seem to have good stuff.. looking ahead not even 2 years. After we were somewhat promised that this selection would be a sure thing it wouldn't get dirty it's covered under warranty blah blah blah. Well that was crap. We purchased their extended warranty which I swear our salesperson told us anytime they'd come out to clean etc. well when I actually called months later to get them cleaned I got the big run around then was told that the extended warranty would only cover certain things so we never did use that "warranty" such bullshit! I ended up getting that $$ back in December 2024 after numerous calls etc to their corporate. I bought a little furniture cleaning machine which didn't do a damn thing. It was supposedly scotchguarded and should easily clean?? HA!! Well I tried several times before buying this machine. Nothing!! Now if you could see from this pic this is 1 yr 10 months later? Do yourself favor spend a little more money and buy better furniture and you won't have this happen. We told our salesperson we had 3 dogs that get up on furniture he assured us it'd be fine- well check out the pic they're sooo not "fine" these couches look like they're 20 years old and they're not even 2. We were upfront and honest when we said our dogs are on our furniture. These have looked like this for sometime now. Don't fall for their crap their furniture is complete junk!! Next time which won't be too far away we'll get couches they will have attached back pillows so they don't get trampled down! I've taken these apart and restuffed them several times. Our dogs walk on top and smash them down. And they don't bounce back. Which again we were assured would be fine. And never ever get cream couches when you have animals!! I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Ashley Furniture. I purchased a sectional on August 30, 2025, and was told by the salesperson that it would be delivered in early October. I planned accordingly and was excited to finally receive my order. A few weeks later, I received confirmation that my delivery was scheduled for October 18, 2025, complete with a delivery timeframe. I even took off work to make sure I'd be home and prepared for the delivery. Then, out of nowhere--the day before delivery--I get an email saying my order has been delayed until October 30, 2025. This kind of service is completely unacceptable. If Ashley Furniture can't deliver on their promises or communicate proactively with customers, they shouldn't make commitments they can't keep. I've spent thousands of dollars and all I have to show for it is frustration and wasted time. Then they promised us to send a technician and we waited all day and no technician never showed up. I called them and they said that the manufacturer does not warranty cosmetics, total BS! The saleswoman in the store was great. The rest of the experience was terrible. The first part of my order was delivered a month later, but a key piece of my couch has not come yet making it useless. The delivery team damaged my home, and Ashley pawned the problem off of their contractor. They are denying the damage claim, so if I want to pursue it, I have to go to court. I can't afford court costs. So now I have to fix the home damage myself. Ashley billed me for the pieces they delivered, but useable because I'm missing a key middle piece of the couch. Two months later, called again and they "apologized for the delay" multiple times, but still no furniture. Supposedly they are supposed to deliver more on Thursday, we'll see what I get. Our new table was damaged so I am waiting to hear from someone on when the replacement will come, so we are now without a kitchen table AND we are missing pillows that are supposed to come with the couch set we just spent thousands on. Called the store 20 times to try and get a hold of someone right away. I would have gladly called the driver/delivery guy if they provided a work phone number for him as I realized the couch pillows were missing as he was pulling off and had no way to get a hold of him. I called the store and an 866 number so many times to not have anyone pick up is absurd. Also just realized the delivery team didnt connect the chais to the loveseat before leaving. I was so excited to receive my bedroom set... which I spent a lot of money on. Upon arrival one of the main pieces broke. They said that they will order me a new one. Okay I understand accidents happen! Then after they left and assembled everything I noticed this on one of the drawers of the dresser. It looks like the piece broke off and someone tried to glue it back together. This is extremely upsetting to me that someone at the company would let a customer receive an item like this. Today my Ashley Homestore Dining Server arrived and the package and product were very badly damaged. I made several calls to customer service to only be told to leave a message after being on hold for long periods of time. I also used the chat that eventually abandoned the chat. I just called the bank Symphony- which works with Ashley Furniture to get my $30 late fee waived because of an error in billing because of a damaged item. The person on the phone wanted me to sign up for some recurring charge for a special order. This is a scam and I am infuriated that I was put through this ridiculous phone call. I kept telling the person on the phone that I wanted to speak about my bill or be transferred to a manager and he said I had to enroll in this offer. If I get mailed that offer and charged anything, I will be going to the BBB. I will no longer be shopping at Ashley given this is the bank and the service they provided today. read more

When we first went to this store we had a good experience. Our rep was the manager "Scooby" and he did an outstanding job. That is where it ended. We were told our furniture would be in by late April. Scooby warned us it would be later than and most likely late May. We got "some" of it in October. This is when our experience turned into a nightmare! We made it very clear that we did not want any furniture delivered until everything was in. We were insured that all of our furniture was in. They lied! Today 10/15 is delivery day. They actually showed up early. The delivery guys were outstanding. The furniture was in good shape and they did a great job setting it up and taking all the garbage. Very happy with them. This is the major issue. We are missing 2 items. A hutch for the dinning room. We sold are old one and the people picked it up yesterday. They also claim it was never part of the order. Which is BS. When I tried to call customer service ot took for ever. Several times I would simply be disconnected before I talked to someone . Finally I reached someone and I was basically told it's not in the order have a nice. They also said the chair was on back order and not be into next year! That's right next year. This is the real kicker, I have 100+ year old China and no place to put it. I tried calling the store 7 times today to find out what happened. Every time it would just ring several times and then disconnect me. One more thing I can't cancel my chair order. The policy is after 30 days you can't cancel the order! The chair I was told I would have in 6 weeks and now is going to be over a year! On March 31, 2023 I went to the Ashley Home Store in Downers Grove, IL to purchase a specific mattress and bed frame. I was going to purchase the tempurpedic adjustable base to go with my tempurpedic mattress but the employee suggested a cheaper bed frame So I went with that one. I spent approximately $4000 between both items. Once the purchase was completed she then told me it would be 7 days until I could get them delivered. I called 8 days later and said I still haven't received a call to schedule delivery. The same employee said it's going to be another 7 days. I wasn't happy but I was understanding. On April 18, 2023 I called and left a message for the employee who helped me and left a message. She never called me back. April 19, 2023 I called the store and went into an automated system where I was told my order will be shipping to their store on May 10, 2023. So I requested to speak with a manager and I spoke with Randy just 1 minute after the automated system told me May 10th and he told me it's not being shipped to their store until May 12th. Randy was useless and did not offer any help or suggestions. So at this time I emailed corporate who said they would try to find the frame at another store. 2 days later I was advised, via email, that she could not locate it. I informed corporate that for the inconvenience they should upgrade me to the tempurpedic adjustable base. Corporate told me no because it's more money. They did not offer me anything at all got the inconvenience. This was my first experience with Ashley Home Store and I will never shop there again! read more

Order a dinning table back in March. At that time they said delivery will be in June. Still a long time but we were okay with it. Then they changed the date from June to august 13th. We were upset but couldn't do much. Waited and waited. Now that August is here, we called for delivery information the answer we get is your table won't be delivered for another 15 to 20 weeks!! WTF!! Are you serious. If you can't deliver from the beginning then don't take our order. We'll go else where or choose something else. All this time we've been without a dinning table. I have purchased, furniture for my basement, living room, dinning room and bedroom and they have always been very good to deal with. I recently purchased another living room set and kitchen table. After the delivery, I did not want to make the drivers wait on me as I was stop 8 of 15 and they let me know this several times. long story short the table a high top looks amazing and we really liked it, however, with the chairs it is just to big for the room. I Immediately (within the hour) to share my desire for an exchange. I asked if we can exchange it for an even more expensive table and chairs. The store referred me to customer service who then told me that the store would have to do this, it was a mere exchange. She said once it is sold they could not take it back. well that's not true. I had an issue with my bed I purchased there and it was replaced. I was hung up on twice and was told I would receive a call back which never happened. As you can se by their rating they do not stand by their product and should not even state that they have customer service. I went to the store in May and spoke with Michalene Majestic who was my sales associate and is the store manager. I placed an order for a dining room table and a love seat. I paid $1,500 cash and the rest on a debit card. After going home and browsing the online website, I noticed that the cost of the items I purchased in store were more expensive than online. I also paid more for the "white glove delivery service" than what was offered online. I emailed her and asked why I was charged more for my in-store purchase and delivery if the items were cheaper online (a few hundred dollars cheaper than what I paid!!!). She told me that the cost for in-store purchase is different than what is offered online, and she could "give me a discount" but was not able to give it to me for the online price. I then canceled my order. I was told that a check would have to be mailed to me for the $1,500 cash payment. By June I had not received the refund check and continuously called and texted through their online chat. I was told numerous times that a manager would call me back to give me an update. I never received a call. I was told that the check was issued on three different occasions, yet I never received my refund. It has been FOUR MONTHS and I have NOT RECEIVED MY $1,500 REFUND. I went into the store on 9/7/23 and spoke with Kyle Lackner who is also a store manager. He told me he would speak with Michalene about refunding my money and they would call me back by 9/11/23. As of 9/17/21, I still have not received a call back or my refund. This Naperville location is family owned and operated. The "managers" at this store take advantage of people, rip them off and don't even follow up to resolve issues. I plan on filing a Notice of Dispute and taking them to arbitration to get my money back. If anyone has also experienced a similar situation, I highly recommend filing a Notice of Dispute against this company. I paid $3000 dollars for a sectional sofa. After 18 months, the beige fabric is turning pink. I contacted the extended warranty company and they told me it is a manufacturer defect. I contacted the store and they said the 1 year warranty is over and there's nothing I can do. I reread the contract and found that the extended warranty company gives themselves an out for almost everything. Don't expect anything more than a free bottle of furniture cleaner from them. I called regarding the Orland park location and left a message for the owner, of course, he never called back. Be ware of a store that has cancelation fees for furniture and mattresses. You have to cancel your order for any reason, you will have to pay a pretty penny. 30% for any furniture and 10% on mattresses. I purchased a mattress and in less than 24 hour I went to the store to cancel. The first thing that was told be me was, "you signed the cancellation form so, you will have to pay 10%". I was financed for $9,700.00 and asked if I could purchase something else. The answer was it had to be a product equal to or more that the cost of the item your are canceling. That mattress was $4000.00. This store is greedy for money and do not want to satisfy the customer. You are better off gong to Darvin or Bob's Furniture. Listen to all of the bad reviews. I made an order on 6/13/2020. I received several texts from Ashley pushing my delivery date back, when I was promised for it to come within 3-4 weeks of my purchase. The date now says 9/19/2020 for delivery. Okay at this point I'm sick of sitting on the floor in my apartment with no furniture, so I got a couch elsewhere - not from these horrible salespeople. Mind you, I was overcharged on a deal that was BOGO, but the salesman Yussef gave me 15% off everything convincing it was a better deal when it wasn't when I did the math. I came back today to cancel my order & they told me there is a 10% cancellation fee. I know that is their policy but when the furniture keeps constantly getting pushed back, what makes me think that Ashley even put any work into getting my couch out to me? None what so ever. The only ones being inconvenienced are the CUSTOMERS. Not to mention, a portion of the purchase was in cash, which is going to take 4-6 weeks to come out to me in the form of a check. If you're looking to ever get delivery of your furniture, DO NOT shop here (Naperville Store). I have gotten pushed out for weeks now. Always with the same guy telling me the same thing. It's still not arrived at the warehouse, but the estimated date is next week....but then again the same thing happens the next week. The store will mislead you by scheduling a delivery date at purchase when they know there is no way it will be delivered by then. Do not bother calling them. They will do literally nothing. They will continue to repeat the same sentence over and over, "The dates are estimates. When your items arrive the delivery team will call you to schedule." WHY are you even giving estimates when they are clearly so out of line with the reality of the situation???? Honestly, a realistic date for the arrival of the furniture would be less enraging. However, I was told it was already at the warehouse several weeks ago and they were waiting on ONE ITEM. We ordered a sofa, love seat, dining table with bench, and a dresser. They had everything at the warehouse except for the bench! Why couldn't they do a partial delivery in the first place? I'm going to Macy's instead and I bet we will receive our furniture within a week. I regret going into Ashley. Never again. Customer service called to schedule delivery. I called them back to schedule it for 09/07. The representative I spoke to asked if we would mind a partial delivery (Bridget asked me via-text just a few days before as well) and I said, we wouldn't mind partial delivery because we need our furniture. Here's what we ordered: Sofa: ready for delivery on 09/07 Dresser: ready for delivery on 09/07 Dining table: ready for delivery on 09/07 Bench: estimated delivery 09/14 I took the day off to stay home and wait for our delivery. I called customer service to check the status and they said we were no longer on their schedule. They didn't even care to contact us to let us know. The most awful customer service I have ever experienced. We purchased a sofa that was delivered with two legs broken. It has been a nightmare to get someone to come fix it for us. Also, we were strong-armed into purchasing the protection plan for the furniture, which we wanted to cancel and get a refund for after just a few weeks of owning the furniture. They make all of their own furniture and all the people, including delivery are Ashley employees. Each purchase here has gone very well. Friendly sales people, low pressure and very good quality products. This time we decided to replace our sofa. So we purchased a sectional with recliners, cup holders etc. The shopping experience went well. The sales person was friendly and placed the order accurately. The delivery went exactly as promised with numerous communication updates between ordering and delivery. We could even track the truck online. All of these customer complaints are true. After receiving (late) damaged furniture and spending hours on the phone with reps in the Philippines and Mexico (they tell you it's Florida), emailing pictures of damage, only to be told again and again that they don't have any info or that I just have to wait for someone to call me back (after waiting for a week), I told them I just wanted to return the item. They claim there are no returns, however, their website says otherwise. Save yourself all of this hassle and just call your credit card company. Within less than 5 minutes the payment was placed on hold and Ashley had to wait for money until everything is fixed to the customer's approval or it's free. read more
