ASI Appliance was scheduled by Maytag to come take a look at my 4 day old washer that was not completing all the cycles. I received an automated call from ASI Appliance advising of the date, time frame (8am - 4pm) and the service charge, in the event the problem was not a warranty issue. I received a call the morning of the appointment with an (11am - 2pm) window. Damarcus arrive at 11am on the dot. He was professional and courteous. After explaining the problems I was having, he immediately identified the issue. The Lowes technician neglected to turn the hot was valve on. It all made sense why some settings worked and some settings errored. Damarcus gave us setting suggestions that he uses on his same washer. The washer has worked fine after the adjustment. I hope I have no other issues with the washer and dryer, but if I do, glad to be able to call Damarcus. read more

They are contracted by Samsung and Whirlpool appliances company and both our refrigerator and dryer has been serviced by them over and over again and still have not repaired them well. It is like a scam where they will not fix it for the appliances to function longer so you either have to buy a new appliances after 3 years or call the company again to be charged by ASI again. it is terrible. Charged me for to look at two refrigerators that were having issues, refused to look at one. They refused to give me my money back for the 'diagnostic' cost of doing nothing. On the refrigerator they 'diagnosed', they said that it needed a fan (which was running) and a 'sealed system'. No explanation. Called their office and couldn't even find the report for their service. The technician was completely rude and unprofessional. Kitchenaid has the wrong service providers. This has been my most disappointing experience yet. Each time technician come up with a new excuse and new issue. Parts are quoted 3 times the actual manufacturer price. Each time new charges are listed, even though technician is not able to figure out the issue. Following is my experience so far 1st visit: over usage of soap wash identified as root cause of machine not working. while actual cause was a faulty wire connection with drain pump. 2nd visit: Technician installed wire harness to correct the connection issue , also changed the drain pump even though old pump was fine. after the installation now machine in going into drain and load cycle at same time. now technician is saying it is the machine main board that is faulty. read more

I wish, I could rate below that. we took whirlpool dishwasher. It seems they have Whirlpool warranty contract. We are struggling since 3 -4 months. these guys scheduling the appointment of so called technician after 20-30 days and cancel it without giving the any heads up. They have just one technician to handle all whirlpool appliance in complete Houston. It was scheduled on 25th July, nobody showed up. Gary L., the service/repair technician, was very professional and consistently demonstrating a high level of courtesy and dedication during each visit. However, despite his attempts to repair my Kitchen Aid refrigerator, it remains unfixed. Each week, the technician would come and attempt to fix it, but the issue persisted. He would then return the following week to diagnose and repair it again, only for the problem to remain unresolved. This cycle continued for five weeks. After the 5th attempt/visit, my refrigerator is finally cooling at the proper temperature but the ice maker is still not making ice and the buttons for the drawers are still not working. 15 Nov 21 Whirlpool referred me to this company (asi appliance) last week to inspect or repair a brand new refrigerator that isn't making ice. Today was my appointment and they didn't appear. I left a message at 8:30 this morning to ensure the were coming They never called me back. I called them back at 3:02pm stating my appointment end time is 4 pm. The first chick and I do mean this hung up on me. The 2nd female had kids screaming in the background but did listen to my issue. Now I'm rescheduled for the 23rd Nov. whirlpool stated "this is the only company in my area". What the what??? As massive as houston is, and whirlpool only uses one company that has one ratings on 3 different sites plus the Tx BBB. Why is possible? Why not replace this company? Whirlpool already their payment. After I paid the service call fee the communication ended - I did not get any communication for a time window for my service. I had to call twice to get clarification. During my initial appointment call I asked for service for oven light replacement and microwave repair. Was told to have oven light ready for replacement but when the technician got there was told that they will only look at the microwave. That is not what I was told when I called and made the appointment. The lack of communication and lack of professionalism was disappointing. Will find another company next time. read more

Repair of ice maker started off well w a tech that seemed to know what he was doing making first visit. He ordered a part and replaced it but that didn't completely fix the problem. He wanted to order another part and I asked for pricing before any second visit. They ordered the part anyway and I tried to talk w tech or repair supervisor before authorizing the return repair visit. Tech did not return multiple calls and texts and I couldn't reach anyone at the office other that the scheduler who didn't have any technical knowledge. $ 800 later and the machine is still not fixed, but I am not giving them any more money. I have had a terrible experience. I put in a request for my driver to be serviced on May 23, 2024 and it is now June 20, 2024 in my dryer is still not fixed. I continue to have to call to get updates to see what's going on. I have appointment scheduled and the repair person either shows up late after the scheduled window doesn't call to say he's on his way and at another visit he did not show up at all and said called and said could I just send a video of what it's doing so does not even come out to look at it. I told him I would not send a video and a supervisor had to get involved. He did finally come out to the house to look at it to which he stayed about five seconds. Listen to it and then supposedly knew what part to order, however when he came to Friday before he left saying the dryer was fixed, I go to put on a load of clothes and dryer was not fixed so when he came back the second time I expected him to take it apart to see if the part he thinks it is is actually broken. Again, he only stayed five seconds said he was ordering a part and he left and also I get the if you do not hear from me that I'm supposed to call. Stay away from this company if possible. If you have to use them because of the manufacturer, document their visit as detailed as possible. We called them to fix a dryer that stops mid-cycle. The tech showed up and wanted to solve a long-cycle problem instead. He admitted his electrical test did not confirm functionality of the moisture sensor and that stopping mid-cycle is not related to running a long-cycle. He refused to open the maintenance panel to even check the sensor. The report shows our reported problem was stopping mid-cycle. In the report, the tech writes the moisture sensor was working properly which is clearly a contradiction to what he said to us. read more

My first warranty claim was in January. It took 3 visits spanning over 3 months to correct the issue. I had to purchase another unit because it was taking ASI so long between appointments. I understand the 22 day delay for back ordered manufacture parts but ASI do not prioritize warranty customers at all. This company is a ripoff! I moved forward with this company because they said the $162 would go towards the part/repair. On November 16th a name named Derrick came and stated that my refrigerator filter housing was damaged. He was at my home for about 15 minutes. Derrick told me if I purchased a new water filter, he would remove a hundred-something dollars from my remaining balance ($117). He said ASI would call me once the part came in. They did not. I called them to see what was happening after waiting almost two weeks. On December 18, he returned and was in my home for about 30 minutes. I had the new water filter present per his request. I asked about the discount he mentioned from his previous visit, he said they didn't charge me for a filter. I did not repeat what he told me on his previous visit because I didn't want to disrespect his business. I was confused about my payment so I texted ASI. Their response is below. Good morning, the housing was $174.60+tax the remaining labor after service fee deducted was $175.90+tax (total labor was $338.22). The total repair before service fee deducted was $541.74. $541.74 - $162.32 = $379.42 My responses are below. What?! $338.22 labor. This is a rip off! What he was at my home about 20 minutes the 1st time and about 30 minutes the 2nd time. I do mine paying for a service yet keeping your word in anything FYI he told me he would take money off and did not. This will be in the survey in business is vital. First John called my wife three times back to back and left a voicemail to call him back in five minutes or else he was moving on to the next customer after I gave operator my number to call. He removes the kick plate and water line to the dishwasher and says you have a blockage in the water line and I'm not a plumber. I confirmed yes my neighborhood has had some scaling issues but I flushed my tank. I just forgot to clean that line. He proceeds to pack up his stuff and I said hey give me 30 seconds let me unblock this line and you can proceed with the diagnosis if it's an electrical or another issue. He had already made up his mind and was done with any further diagnosis. Even after cleaning the line I'm still stuck with the same problem on the dishwasher. When I called ASI back to reschedule another technician to come out and diagnose it and your company wants $180 and tells me that my dishwasher is no longer under warranty. This is a new build and new dishwasher not more than six months old and will not proceed with any diagnosis until you get a confirmed receipt that a plumber has come out and clean the line. You're asking me to get authorization codes from whirlpool that they have no knowledge of. There is more to the story between ASI and whirlpool but I summed it up for you. Shame on ASI and shame on Whirlpool for allowing this to happen. read more

Terrible company. When the technician came out the first time, he told us the console and the control needed to be replaced. He did not give us any kind of receipt or notes regarding his visit (I wasn't home when he arrived so MIL handled it). When I called ASI to follow up on the parts, they told me that one of the parts was in but the other one out of stock from whirlpool. They told me that I would have to call Whirlpool myself and ask when the part would be in. ASI said that is not something they do, thy have the customers call Whirlpool directly. So I had to call Whirlpool and ask them when the part was going to be back in stock. Then I had to call ASI back and let them know what Whirlpool said. Once the parts did come in, ASI scheduled for the technician to come back out. When the technician came back out, he only had one part and only replaced one part. Again he left my house with any kind of receipt or note showing what was replaced. I contacted ASI and asked them for some sort of receipt on what had been replaced. She told me they replaced the one part. When I asked why originally they told me two parts had to be replaced, why they had to order two parts but then he only repaired one part, I was told just to give them a call back if the dryer stopped working again. That obviously means that the technician ordered two parts from whirlpool but only replaced one part in my dryer. So he kept the other part which he got for free since it was under warranty and is pocketing the money. Terribly, shady company and I am letting Whirlpool know that they are scamming. read more

Our extended warranty company sent ASI Appliance to service our freezer which is not making ice. They came out once and claimed to replace the filter and said that would fix the issue, even though the filter was already new. The issue continued. We asked them to come back, and they claimed that we were lying and that the machine is making ice and left without doing anything. It makes no sense and is incredibly frustrating. The technician arrived at my house on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with my washer as a failing transmission and told me that he was going to order a new one. After a week, I contacted ASI to check on the status of my parts. They told me that they had closed out the ticket without ordering the new parts, because another company had made repairs to the washer 6 months earlier and that I needed to contact the other company to resolve the issue. ASI Appliance sucks- 09/19/2022 Overall Expertise Promptness Service The last appointment about 10 days ago the tech promised that our icemaker would have a full bin of ice by Wed after her Friday visit. The icemaker produced about 30 ice cubes a day and it is not keeping up with a family of 2, with low ice use. We talked with Whirlpool and they said the Tech would need to call when they returned on an appt for today 9/19. The tech is refusing to come to our home and call the Whirlpool Office tech. Therefore nothing is being done to repair a faulty machine. REPAIR OR REPLACE- what would you want done if it was your machine new 3 months ago. my microwave has not been working for over a month now. ASI replaced a part. It did not fix the problem. ASI ordered another part but did not come to the scheduled appointment because I did not answer the phone when they were on the way to my house even though I had somebody at home. they scheduled another appointment and called me the night before telling me they did not have the cart that they needed to set my microwave on while they worked on it and scheduled me another week out. We're going on almost a month and a half with no microwave with a large family I would not recommend ASI at all very unprofessional/ unreliable company. read more

Our problem was not fixed. Our tech's customer service was terrible and her attitude was not friendly at all. If she couldn't fix it or figure it out, it's ok, send me someone new. Don't just tell me that it's the best you can do. I requested to escalate the issue, but a manager never called me back as she promised us. We ended calling the manufacturer and they took care of us. I had to escalate it up to the manufacturer's corporate office and safety division. ASI Appliance was sent by Maytag to perform repairs on my Maytag Commercial washing machine that I had purchased in March 2022. Service was requested in August 2023. I moved the washing machine out of my tiny laundry room on my covered rear deck in anticipation that the technician would need space to work. Tech came out, determined the part, and left to order it. Two weeks later (washer has now been broken for 3, almost 4 weeks) he returned and attempted to repair. He said the replacement part was defective and left to order another one. Two weeks after that, he returned and attempted to repair it again, but was again unsuccessful. He left to order another part, and a few weeks later, returned to repair it again, again unsuccessful. The last time he came out he declared the machine was repaired. He said that it may be noisy. Over the weekend we tested the machine and discovered that it was not repaired. I called Maytag to ask about when the machine will be fixed. Maytag informed me that the requested parts had been approved and that I had to wait for ASI to contact me to schedule. I called ASI who told me that Maytag had not informed them of anything of the sort. I waited several more days, then called Maytag again who informed me that they were declining to repair the machine further. On the last repair visit the ASI technician told the master technician at Maytag that I had abused the machine, because he had found a birds nest in the machine and it was starting to rust. At this point the repair had been ongoing from August, and it is now the end of December. If you recall earlier, I said I had moved the machine onto my covered rear deck for the repairs. I left the machine out there since it was never repaired, and I wasn't sure when or if ASI was going to return to fix it. If I had known that I needed to be moving the machine in and out of the house for every repair, I would have done so. But the technician never said anything about the location being a problem. At this point Maytag has revoked their authorization for repairing the machine and I am left with a $1000 one-year-old washer that is non-functioning. I called ASI three days ago to file a complaint and they said that they would be in contact with me either that day or the next day. As of today, December 21 I have yet to hear from ASI. This entire experience has been extremely unsatisfactory and I will never purchase a Maytag or Whirlpool branded product again, and I will never use ASI appliance even if they are the contractor for future warranty repairs. read more
