Wow, we were really impressed with this restaurant. We stopped in for dinner, ordered at the counter and dined in. The restuarant was clean, and staff fast and efficient. The menu selection is very good. Now the food we ordered came out fast, and was delicious. The butterfly shrimp and egg roll appetizers were crisp, hot and tasty. The chicken fried rice was delicious with lots of chicken, and the Mongolian Beef was a good combination of onions, green peppers and lots of beef. The Mongolian Beef also had red peppers and sliced jalapenos which gave it a good spicy flavor. Compared to alot of Asian restaurant we have eaten at, this one gives you generous portion and large amounts of meat (chicken, beef, etc.). Overall, we had another excellent experience. read more

Always order the broccoli beef lunch special and 2 New York egg rolls (used to be 1 but the size has gone down). Someone confirm but I'm pretty sure that's right. Lunch special was hot, fresh and good tasting. Not oily. The egg rolls were the opposite of that and not how I remembered as they tasted old. I couldn't tell if it was the oil it was cooked in or the egg roll wrapper. But it just didn't taste fresh. I've had more positive outings than misses. This place is severely underrated! It has quickly become one of my favorite spots in North Las Vegas. Every entree me and my girlfriend have tried so far has been amazing. Compared to many other places, the amount of food you get for the price paid is more than generous. This is a family owned business, they are always really kind whenever we go in to order. If you would ever order from this place, you are a total fool. We ordered and received a time of 20 minutes for pickup. We then waited 1 hour and they kept telling us "5 minutes more". We met several other people in the store that were treated the same way and were losing their minds. The employees did not care, said they were understaffed and told everyone to wait. When people asked for refunds, they refused. When people asked for their food or an ETA for their food, they were told "you have to wait". Last night I had a crazy craving for Chinese food and wanted it ASAP! I checked my food apps to see what place would get to me the fastest, and this was the place! So we decided to give this place a try...aaaaaand in all honesty, it wasn't really bad, but it also wasn't satisfying. We ordered $48 worth of food - Chicken fried rice, combination chow mein, orange chicken, wor wonton soup, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and a spam masubi. (I was STARVING ok?!) I started with the egg rolls. First thing noticed, the inside was pretty mushy. Not flavorful, with weird mushy texture on the inside, so when in doubt, dip in sweet and sour sauce! Except the sauce was like water. Very, very thin and also didn't have flavor! It was weird! It tripped me out! I tried the sauce on the crab Rangoon and still nothing. The sauce barely even tinted whatever food I dipped in it! The crab Rangoon itself wasn't bad. The chicken fried rice didn't seem very appealing but was ok, the chow mein had no flavor, the orange chicken was pretty good, and bae said he liked his soup. The flavor of the spam masubi was good but the spam looked old. Not fresh at all. Overall I guess it was ok because maybe I got what I needed instead of what I wanted...which was a fatty, salty, gluttonous meal. I'm actually not bloated at all today! And I didn't hate myself last night! Either way, I probably won't order here again. I'd rather wait longer for a meal of gluttony than spend almost $50 for barely mediocre because it gets there 10-20 min faster. read more

One entree served with chow mein/fried rice, and a drink. I ordered the Mongolian beef and ate it all in one sitting! It was that good, seriously! Kudos to the Chef! Excellent food. We Just happened to be on this side of town and decided to give this place a try. We ordered take out and when we got home everything was so hot and fresh. Still steaming. I ordered the Singapore Curry Noodles & Spam Masubi. Hubby ordered Hot Garlic Szechuan and also Spam Masubi. These were the best flippin' noodles I've had in a really long time. So much flavor! Plenty of shrimp and chicken and BBQ pork. The pork was on point! Just the right amount of heat (medium). Husband said best Chinese food he's had. Again, a lot of flavor. O think I'm being nice when i give two stars. We thought we found a good Chinese place but today i was wrong. We have been here several times and always get the same thing. Today was different i am sick with the flu and wanted wonton soup. We go an order the soup along with beef and broccoli with white rice, generals tso's chicken ( she says to me it's spicyno duh) pork chow fun and an order of veggie fried rice. We get home and i open to soup to find sliced cucumbers, snow peas carrots onions along with chunks of pork (the pork is normal) and chunks of chicken ‍i heat up the soup only to have the wontons to have a slimy texture to them. It's as if the Normal person cooking the food wasn't there today. As far as the rest of the food it's a no. I'm very surprised because the food here is normally good. I really, really, really wanted to love this place. The food is very good, which I was very happy about since Peng Xu at Suncoast is gone. What I'm disappointed about is that when I placed my order online, tipped them 20%, asked for my Szechuan beef with no bell peppers, I thought everything would be fine. When I went in to pick up my order, it was ready! I was dying from the smell on the drive home. I thoroughly enjoyed my appetizers. Egg rolls, paper wrapped chicken and hot and sour soup. When I finally got to my entrée, there they were, bell peppers. Completely ruined the dish for me. My entrée ended up in the trash. As far as I was concerned, it was inedible. I ordered from these guys tonight using BeyondMenu. I've ordered from this restaurant many times before and I've never had an issue. The food has always been good and the service is matched. Tonight was completely different though. I ordered the family dinner A and it gave me a list of eight options for my rice or chow mein item. I chose the combination chow mein. I added a couple more items and I put my order through which totaled $35, no problems. I received a call from the store about three minutes later. Some young girl, who didn't tell me her name, tells me combination chow mein isn't available as an option for family dinner A. So I ask her if that's not available as an option, why is it listed on the website they use for online ordering (BeyondMenu) as an option? She answers me "we've never had a problem like this before." I told her if it's an option available for me to choose then it is an option available. All I hear is silence then she responds by saying nobody else has had this problem. Now I'm pissed because I have a store calling me after I placed a $35 food order and telling me I have a problem. I demand to speak to a manager and this girl tells me they have a manager but they're not in the store right now and they're not available to speak because they're not there. So rather than owning their mistake and honoring the items offered on the website they use to place their orders, they lose a good size dinner order and a repeat customer. I hope the management from this restaurant reads these reviews and does something about this because it is absolutely ridiculous! read more

I never thought I would see the day that I would be disappointed with Golden China or, more specifically, chicken chow fun. Tonight was when the grand illusion came crashing down. I love chicken chow fun. Its one of my favorite dishes, period. I ordered it again tonight with my heart and my stomach set on those delicious chewy noodles. My first bite I knew something was amiss. I kept chewing the chicken and it did not break down. I spit out that piece and tried another thinking I just got a gristly piece the first time. Nope. The next piece was even worse. I tried to break apart a third piece with my hand and that help firm. I don't know what they did to this poor chicken but it was very cruel. I ended up seeking and removing all the chicken from my chow fun and ate the noodles only. They were actually quite good. I've got to give them that. I also ordered another favorite treat tonight, Spam musubi. I was less than pleased with this too. There was far too much rice. So much I could hardly bite into it. The Spam was good as was the nori and sauce. But the rice in all its bulk was not great. There was a strange minerally or rancid taste. I removed the excess and ate just the Spam and nori. I hope I just caught Golden China on an off night. I've been eating here for about four years and I've always liked it. I want to continue liking it. I'm not so sure about that right now. read more
