The sushi was tasty and they prepared it pretty quickly for a walk in take out order. The menu is pretty large and diverse for sushi options too! They also have a vegetarian section. The hostess was very kind and kept me updated on my order status and offered water while I waited. There's a decent sized dinning room and it's got a classy and classic sushi house vibe. Would definitely come back to use the coupon they gave me too!

Cute little place in cap hill. It was alright. There's a decent amount of selection to choose from and the staff were nice as well. The rock fish dish was a bit salty for my preference. Not my favorite. The poke don was ok too. The fish was ok, I believe I have had fresher fish. There were a lot of flies around where I was sitting so it was a bit of waving the flies away. The prices are ok, maybe a bit high for what the quality is. I'm not entirely wowed by it but the people were friendly.

Very nice Japanese restaurant located very close to Ba Bar and also Seattle U - excellent Japanese cuisine, great service and roomier interior. Recommended and check it out!

Food was enjoyable. A tiny bit pricey, $62 for one appetizer and two meals. I suppose that's the reality we live in! Interesting that while we were there was a bridal party eating as well, seems like a popular place for locals that are so enjoyable you'll eat there for your bridal party! Service was kind and quick. Didn't wait long for our food. Not sure if there was a back but there were only about 5-8 tables in the restaurant.

I had a recent Japanese food gap in my life and the sushi tonight hit the spot so perfectly. The portions here are respectable from the rolls to the appetizer agadashi tofu. We got a special dragon roll and a torched crab roll and were absolutely blown away with how fresh and smoky the fish was. The big surprise at the end was a small coffee flan. That sweet complimentary treat was a great ending to a delicious meal.

Great menu with awesome udon and chirashi bowls. The bento lunch specials are also generous. In the summer there is a cute little patio out back to dine in.

Cute little spot with clean quiet ambience. Came with a group of 5 and was sat immediately. The menu has an almost overwhelming amount of options. The sushi roll prices are comparable to other sushi places and quality was good. The manager or owner gave us all free samples of coffee flan they made in house

SOOOOOO good! Stylish, cozy but also date-worthy interior spot with great sushi. We got sake ($15) as well as a few plates of sushi. -Sushi Combo A ($31): 9 pieces of nigiri and a spider roll -Negihama Roll ($10): Yellowtail and Scallions -Can't remember what the third roll was but it was also great Everything was wonderfully plated, super fresh, and tasted amazing. Also the owner is so nice!!! He gave us complimentary miso soup as well as a slice of cheesecake as they were testing out a new recipe.

A year later, my meal was disappointing. Grilled fish was dry, tempura wasn't hot and they served shrimp when I asked for all veggies, salmon sashimi was good but tuna wasn't as fresh, spicy tuna rolls were tasty. Salad was drenched in dressing. All in all meh. Too bad as mg prior experience was much better.

Your local hole in the wall ~ a bit confined seating, for a new spot the house-like decor giving off a late 90s vibe. Expensive for everyday sushi. Extensive menu like a diner, almost too much. Rice texture was just ok. Oddly slow and inattentive service and food unexpedited for being the only table. Again, expensive.

I really wanted to love this place... but honestly it was not great. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing- some places are better when you order their signature plates. They had several raw fish and other specialities. We ordered seaweed salad, dragon roll, crunchy crab roll and classic California roll. The total was $85 and in opinion, the rolls were very mediocre. Not very fresh and not the best quality. Very disappointing.

So many amazing sushi spots in Seattle and now I need to add this one to the list. Good thing about this spot is there's something for all types of sushi lovers. From seared, to tempura, to veggie and sashimi, the menu has it all. Our favorite rolls were the royal dragon roll and the fire crab roll. Great spot for groups, lots of space and nice look and feel.

The way they worded this really rubbed me the wrong way. First, I've never been give a time limit at a restaurant that was not all-you-can-eat. Second, the amount of time I spend in your restaurant heavily depends on the speed of your service (spoiler alert: it was not fast). They then sat us at the most uncomfortable table I have ever had the displeasure of dining at. The table was low and the seats were so deep that I could not rest my back on them while eating. Definitely brought the mood down further. Food was a hit or a miss, no in between. Hit: Garlic short ribs (my partner said these were tender and a good portion for happy hour), Poke sushi roll (good fish quality and taste) Misses: First Ave Roll (sauce was just walloped on top, weak flavors), veggie and shrimp tempura (heavy and soggy batter), pink lychee cooler (artificially sweet with no strong lychee flavor), green tea tiramisu (photo speaks for itself). For all the rave reviews, I was pretty let down. Thankfully, we went during happy hour so we didn't pay full price. I would not visit here again.

We made a reservation for dinner but they only had the tables available, not the bar. The inside is really nicely laid out and our table was in a side where we could see the sushi chefs preparing the pieces. We even saw Chef Kashiba himself while we were there! We of course got the omakase, which was a total of 22 pieces including non-sushi bites. The appetizer trio consisted of sashimi, bamboo, and a radish puree - while we loved the sashimi, the other two were just ok. The next course was a toro handroll which we thought was a bit odd since that usually comes later towards the end in omakase. The fish was fresh, but the seaweed was a little thick and chewy. Onto the next plate - 5 pieces of nigiri with my favorites being the otoro and sea bream. Special shoutout to the albacore as well (I've never had albacore so soft!). After this one, the 6 piece nigiri were a hit or miss - while I LOVED the kanpachi (probably my favorite piece of the night), some of the seared ones didn't feel that fresh or flavorful. We then got the chawanmushi which I actually really loved, and I'm thankful they were able to substitute the shrimp with rockfish for my allergy. Finally, for the dessert course we got some miso soup, a fried anago nigiri, and for me oranges (instead of the egg due to my shrimp allergy). I did think it was odd to get miso soup last, but the anago was really good and the oranges were nice and fresh. Overall, there were definitely some standout pieces (kanpachi, toro, and chawanmushi) but the overall omakase experience felt a little disjointed. I'm glad to have finally tried this spot though - the location is beautiful and definitely still worth a visit for the legacy!
