Pork Katsu Omelette Curry & Hamburger Omelette Curry
    Jacques I.

NOMS! My friend and I hadn't planned to dine here the day we met, but I'm so glad the other place ended up being closed because I discovered Ringo Curry. This is some of the best Japanese curry in the area! My friend and I visited Ringo Curry on a Friday night and for the two of us, we were able to get a table immediately; however, the place quickly filled during our time here. It was busy on a Friday night for dinner - and after having it, I understand why. The menu features a lot of different curry dishes and other entrees with Japanese booze and teas. My friend ordered the hamburger omelette curry dish while I had the pork katsu omelette dish, which didn't take long to get. Oh my goodness, my plate was true comfort food! The pork cutlet was tender and juicy and loved how creamy the egg was - definitely not overcooked at all. The curry was fantastic; I kept scooping up curry with every bite. On the table, they also have pickled daikon that I really enjoyed to balance out my meal with some acidity. I'm glad I found Ringo Curry in the International District! The place is so cute, too, with anime playing on the tube and they even have those slot machines where you can win a toy, just like in Japan. What a great homage to such a beautiful country. I'll be back!

Regular Pork Tonkatsu Curry w/ Ebi Katsu

Went for dinner on a Saturday around 7:45 PM and got seated right away even with a huge party (8+). Surprisingly, the restaurant got a bit busier after we started eating, but nobody needed to wait. The food does take a second to come out as they fry everything to order and the parking situation is the typical paid street parking of Chinatown. The good: portions are massive and the little pickled baby onions on the table on the most delightful tart and salty bites to break up a pretty heavy meal. The curry sauce is thick, super savory and the cheese add on is a huge cup of fondue with a mix of nice quality mozzarella and something with just the slightest tartness and funk. The only reason this doesn't score higher is that I found the pork tonkatsu to be criminally overcooked and dry across the table.

Located: Chinatown, across from honey court restaurant. Restrooms: both men and women restrooms Parking: pay 2hr street parking Service: 3/5 - no hi, it's straight to business, no friendly at all. No need reservation. Indoor seating only. We ordered: Fried squid - pretty good, crispy and light battered. Pork katsu egg curry - ok, not kobuta. Thick katsu meat. Hamburger egg curry - like it. The curry is pretty nice, not too think, not too thin. Spice level: we did 2, it's has a kick. So if you cant handle heat, zero spice level for you

TLDR: Quick service, great portion size, good price. Would recommend ! My favorite curry place in Seattle so far. There's a lot of open seating and large windows. The decor is anime-themed and overall a cozy spot in ID to grab a hot meal. I prefer chicken over pork katsu, personally but my friends loved the pork. The meat cuts through easily with just a spoon and plate comes with a large amount of curry sauce, no veges. The base price for meat + rice + curry is about $18 but it is a Build-your-own type menu, so you can add any veges you want onto your plate !

Located in the Chinatown- International District with plenty of street parking as well as some paid lots nearby. This place had plenty of seating and had a lot of One Piece decor which flowed and seemed to be their theme. The staff was super friendly, making sure to check in on us as well as answer any questions regarding the menu. I ordered the Large Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry and it was pretty massive compared to my friends orders. The curry was flavorful and you can taste the different spices mixed into it. The Pork Katsu had a nice crunch while still having soft and juicy pork underneath the Panko Breading. The juiciness and crunch mixed perfectly with the bite of curry. The rice was fluffy and the fluffy egg sitting on top were the perfect pair for the second bite following the Pork Cutlet and Curry. Definitely want to come back again and try the other dishes!

Closest (and best) curry you will get in the Seattle area. Staff is super friendly and there is a large seating area for dine-in. It does get busy during lunch hours but I went with a friend and was seated almost immediately. There are modifications you can make to the curry (I recommend getting it extra spicy). I got the large pork katsu omelet curry ($21) and I really enjoyed how crispy, crunchy and flavorful the pork katsu was. I will for sure be back whenever I'm in the mood for curry!

One of the best tasting Katsu curry's in my opinion in Seattle! The place is very favorable, neat presentation, good portion sizes. Overall clean and large space with friendly service, I highly recommend and I would come back.

Comforting food in Chinatown. There are 9 different curry entrees which is sweet, but personally not a fan of the options. In particular, a large being only extra rice and sauce, I'd hope for a large costing more and having some extra protein which I believe is common across katsu spots. I suppose adding a "topping" of extra katsu is an option, but price jumps heavily when I guess the focus is not necessarily on katsu. Though definitely some personal bias as I enjoy my protein. Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry - pork was flavorful, juicy, and tender. Even independent of the sauce, the katsu would taste great. Sauce was savory and slightly sweet, balancing the pork fat well while also layering on rice and egg perfectly. Overall a hearty dish and nice pick me up with the colder weather.

    Shabu beef spinach curry

Came here with my wife on a Monday evening and it was packed! We tried the pork cutlet omelet curry and the shabu beef with spinach. Overall, the food was really good and definitely satisfying. The pork cutlet was crispy, and the omelet added a nice texture to the curry. That said, the curry itself leaned a bit too sweet for my personal taste. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you prefer a more savory or balanced flavor profile. For the shabu beef with spinach, I was expecting it to be cooked together in the curry, but it seems like they were prepared separately and then served together. That might've been on me for assuming since the menu didn't specify, and I didn't ask--but just something to note. Service was quick and efficient, which I appreciated. Overall a solid spot, and I'd come back to try other dishes.

Ringo Curry in the Seattle Chinatown International District is located where Ho Ho Seafood was (RIP). The menu has a variety of katsu type of dishes, plus some specials such as gyudon set (beef over rice). But I had exactly one dish in mind entering Ringo Curry - omurice. If one scrolls social media much, you may have seen a video of a jiggly soft-cooked omelet sitting on top of rice that is cut-opened spilling out the soft egg inside covering the rice. This omurice (menu says omelet rice) is a more-cooked version of that, served split, generously covered with curry and choice of protein. Hubby got double pork; I got the chicken. My humble opinion is that the katsu here is better than the ones at Kobuta & Ookami especially for the meat thickness. The restaurant is lightly remodeled from the Ho Ho days with a clean bathroom. The server was helpful answering our question, but somehow, we ended up with no spicy for both omurice orders. She didn't ask, and I forgot to specify. Bummer. The Food: Large Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry with added pork cutlet, $20.95+$7.50 - 4.5 Stars I created this supersize version for hubby. For his large appetite, this is a large meal today and a smaller weekday meal size. Thick meat, excellent crispy katsu coating, delicious curry. The egg is just cooked. Missing a touch of spicy. Chicken Cutlet Omelet Curry, $18.95 - 4.5 Stars Same as above: Thick meat, excellent crispy katsu coating, delicious curry. I am not a fan of undercooked scramble eggs, so I am quite happy with their version of the egg cover. I do greatly miss the kick of the curry sauce. I usually buy the black box of Golden Curry with a lot of kick. Well, next time. Fried Squid, $10.50 - 4 Stars I like that their squid pieces are the tentacles, a definite East Asian preference. These pieces cooled quicker than I expected, though. I like them piping hot. Otherwise, breading and sauce are good.

If you're craving authentic Japanese curry, Ringo Curry hits the spot. The staff was welcoming from the moment we walked in, and service was quick no waiting around, just straight to the good stuff. The curry itself was rich, savory, and full of that classic depth you only get overseas. One bite and I was right back in Japan. The curry was familiar, comforting, and ridiculously satisfying. The katsu was crispy, the sauce was silky and packed with flavor, and it all just came together perfectly on the plate. Simple. Fast. Delicious. If you love Japanese curry, put this place on your list.

Solid curry place located in Chinatown, it's not as often to find a Japanese curry place that's this type of style. Katsu is fresh and not too salty. Good service and food is quick to come out.

Ringo Curry has a nice, spacious interior with cute decor. There's street parking outside but I'm not sure if there are any parking lots nearby. Servers were kind and attentive! We ordered an Omurice Chicken Katsu and a Kimchi Nabe. I can't speak for the Katsu dish but my partner really liked it. I tried the curry and it's delicious. Savory and a hint of sweet. I loved the kimchi nabe that I had. It's slightly spicy, sweet, and sour with plenty of ingredients to keep you full! If I remember correctly it had kimchi, pork belly, tofu, and assorted vegetables. I also really appreciated that they had good toppings and sauces available like the garlic and ginger. They go so well with the food served here!

The salad wasn't overdressed and tasted refreshing with a light dressing. I would order this again. Karaage Chicken, small, $6.95 - 5 Stars Glad they offer the chicken as a side. The small is a good compliment to salad. Instead of four pieces, we had five. Hubby was happy to have more protein to go with the rice. They are more of a 4.5 stars rating. Their service speed bumped them up to 5 Stars.
