I Luv Teriyaki has been a staple in Georgetown until the fire, I am so excited they have finally reopened. Food is generally good here, but they aren't very vegetarian friendly. They only have a couple of tofu dishes (I am not sure why they don't let you sub tofu for chicken on dishes). Also, they think vegetarians don't want a side salad with their meal because they are eating vegetables. I still like a crisp salad with my order. Just writing in hoping they read this and help a vegetarian out as I have to buy a side salad at $4.95 (which is silly for what you get). read more

I had high hopes for I Love Teriyaki after they reopened, but after two visits, I'm completely done. First visit: over 30 minutes to get my food, and they got my order wrong--not once, but twice. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they had just reopened, figured they were working through the chaos. Second visit: somehow worse. The food itself was bad. They dumped a massive puddle of teriyaki sauce all over my fried rice to the point it was soggy and inedible. It honestly felt careless, like no one even looked at the plate before sending it out. Then came the part that really sealed it for me. I asked for a small to-go container so I could take some of the hot sauce they have sitting out for customers (multiple full bottles, clearly meant for public use). I was told I couldn't have any. Fine--whatever--but then I offered to pay for it, and they charged me $1.10... and gave me a tiny 1 oz ramekin of salad dressing instead. After that, I waited while they went to get the hot sauce I had just paid for... and they never came back. My food sat there getting cold while I stood around like an idiot. After five minutes, I just left. Between the wrong orders, long wait times, poor food quality, and nickel-and-diming customers over something as trivial as hot sauce--this place is a mess. I won't be back. Which is a shame, because the location is incredibly convenient--but the experience is not worth it. read more

Mediocre teriyaki... Ive heard many good things about this place and wanted to visit after they reopened. The gyoza was overly fried and slightly burnt. The teriyaki combo dishes had small meat portions for $15-20. The meat was also too salty so nothing special. read more

So I have been going to this place for years. Fun fact the original building was famous for its chicken... Now that they are re opened after a fire DESTROYED the business, I can enjoy them again! I can say I had my favorite "spicy chicken teriyaki " it was dang tasty. The sautéed onions were a huge surprise! Large portion of protein, rice done to perfection. There was just enough sauce to make it perfect, at least for me. The inside was nice, very clean and bright. The person working the after lunch rush was super attentive and on spot. I had the pleasure of having lunch at I Luv Teriyaki's recently reopened restaurant yesterday. The new restaurant is well laid out and immaculately maintained. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was exceptional. I had the spicy chicken teriyaki, and it was perfectly prepared, well sauced and extremely flavorful. I particularly like the fact that they include fresh lettuce with the dish, which provides a nice cool crunchy contrast to the teriyaki. The portion size was perfect in fact, I ended up not eating all of it. The rice was perfectly cooked and held together so that chopsticks were easy to use with the rice. I will be back again soon to try some other items on the menu. read more

I love teriyaki. Love it so much and it is near and dear to my heart. My family used to own a teriyaki shop when I was younger so it's a very nostalgic meal for me because it reminds me of my childhood. I live in West Seattle and this tends to be in my way home in Georgetown when I am going home from work. They teriyaki is always well marinated and well cooked, with a nice char on the chicken to give it some nice flavor. Their salad dressing is light and tangy which is a nice contrast to the chicken teriyaki and goes together perfectly. They also have a chili garlic hot sauce that's really good. I usually get the spicy chicken and they stir fry the chicken in a chili garlic sauce and gives it a bit of extra kick which I really appreciate. Yum! I can officially say I also Luv Teriyaki after my first meal at this place. Their teriyaki sauce is a bit sweeter than I expected, but really delicious. The chicken was grilled to perfection, and had a really smoky flavor. The restaurant in itself is very cool. It gives off a vibe of "I'm small, but my food speaks for itself!". We didn't however eat inside the place, but that gives me an opportunity to shed light on their To-Go. Called, and it was ready in about 10 minutes on a Sunday! I ordered the beef/chicken teriyaki combo. The chicken was fine but the beef was not what I am used to for teriyaki. It's not grilled like the chicken teriyaki which gives it the teriyaki taste, it's more like a cheap cut of beef cut into strips and pan fried with garlic and vegetables. It was very chewy. They come out hot and delicious. I think there's a pot of complimentary hot tea off to the side, but I usually buy a Snapple. I never knew how much Teriyaki was big in Seattle?! It's like equivalent to our Cali taquerias. My friend Jason took us for lunch and this place was great! Their menu is huge with lots to choose from but I wanted spicy chicken with their special teriyaki red sauce and prawns (regular shrimp) with white rice and salad. I love the fact that customers can control the dressing and sauce by using the bottles. It's better that way actually. I also like how they have hot green tea for customers which is always a plus for after dinners. This is a family ran restaurant so they work as a team and their super close! It's always a special experience when being served by a kind and loving family. For about $11 we definitely got our moneys worth it! I'd love to come back again! read more

It doesn't really look like much from the outside, but..... don't be fooled by what you will be served inside. This place gets pretty busy during lunch time for good reason. I consider myself to be a teriyaki connoisseur, "if that even exists". I'm here a few times a week for lunch. To the point now, all I have to do is walk in and pay, no need to even say what I want, they know already. I get the spicy teriyaki all rice no salad. This place is seriously on point. They're one of the best places for the spicy teriyaki. I can't really speak for the other teriyaki dishes as I'm a serious creature of habit and usually will stick with what I like when I know they make it well. I highly recommend this place. Within Georgetown, a small number of Teriyakis/fried woks are quality over quantity. Basically nothing beyond $10 for a single order that comes with no salad but a fortune cookie. Average split between rice and chicken portion .The dining environment being a bit sketchy though, food's 7 out of 10 I shall say. Cheap and delicious teriyaki with huge portions and a menu with a ton of options ranging from teriyaki to wok specials and fried rice, I'm definitely a fan! The first thing I noticed was how big the portions were. For about $8 after tax you can get a chicken teriyaki that comes with a ton of chicken/rice (the most rice I've EVER seen served with teriyaki) and a good portion of salad. The teriyaki is perfectly cooked - not too much sauce on the chicken and awesome rice. Personally, I find it hard to change the teriyaki formula, and so when I look for good teriyaki places I appreciate good portion sizes and a good price point. The portion and price was great as I even had some leftover for lunch the next day. They even give you a fortune cookie too! This makes it the ultimate bang for your buck. I order take out from here at least 3 times per week and the food is consistently great. I typically order the chicken and prawn teriyaki with white rice. It comes with generous portions of chicken and usually I eat the leftovers for breakfast. A small salad and a fortune cookie are included. When I'm starving, I also order the 9 piece Gyoza and the homemade Kimchi...which is fantastic!! I Luv Teriyaki is worth every penny. read more
