We found this place by chance as we were driving through Princeton and were craving Jajangmyun. Found Asian Bistro on Yelp and it really is a hidden gem! Asian Bistro doesn't look like much on the outside, but its very clean and has a great and unique way of service. You order food at the counter and they buzz you once you're ready. Iced water and hot water are complimentary and you have the option to get soft drinks and tea. They also provide bottle openers so you can BYOB. We wanted to try a few things being our first time here. The Seafood/Scallion pancake was super crispy and had lots of shrimp and octopus in it! Very delicious! We also got an order Jajangmyun (Black Bean Noodles) and it was one of the better ones I've had in the Central NJ area. The noodles had lots of veggies and some nice chunks of pork belly in it. Last we ordered the Hwe Dup Bap which is a mix of salad, rice and sashimi topped off with spicy gochujang. Again, super delicious and refreshing. It was a nice balance from the heavier noodle dish. We saw lots of people eating in and taking out. There are plenty of seats available indoors and the bathrooms were very clean. Make sure you tip appropriately once you pay! Food service is very quick and they bus your tables for you after your done.

    Codfish stew and spider roll!

Was my first time back in a year or so and the menu is very different, though same restaurant set up and process to order. The general Tsos chicken bento box was amazing! Great portions and such great flavor and texture of the chicken and various side dishes. The veggie kimbap was yummy and went well with the other parts of the box. As always, service was great and we'll be be back soon!

Korean restaurant @ Princeton Junction, NJ, Had early lunch, hot stone beef bibimbob. It wasn't so bad but didn't taste much of beef. You order and pay at the counter then when the buzzer rings, you will go and pick up your food.

Found this place on google since we were craving korean food and were honestly surprised at how delicious everything was. They actually serve other asian cuisine dishes like thai, japanese and chinese as well. We got the kalbi bento box which was very delicious! It came with japchae, salad, kimbap and a small fried fish? The fried fish was so light and delicious. The scallion pancake was amazing and probably my favorite dish. It was super flavorful and had a good amount of seafood in it. The service was pretty quick. You order at the counter, they give you a buzzer and you pick up your food when it goes off. They have complimentary water, but you can also buy drinks as well. The bathrooms are very clean as well. They have lunch specials on weekdays too!

Great korean food here (they also offer japanese and chinese dishes, among others). The bulgogi was very sweet and savory. I wish they had given me a bit more rice- ended up running out of rice and still had half the bulgogi left. I would recommend the jajangmyeon if you're unsure of what to get. It's my usual go to order, and the quality is consistently good.

I was in the area and the day was freezing. A hot and warm korea soup would fit the day, I found this restaurant on Yelp, happy to see it offered Korean dishes mixed in Japanese and Chinese dish. Then I saw the photo of Hwe Dup Bap, looks like Korean version of Chirashi (they offered Chirashi). Decided to order a take out. They gave generous portion. It is similar to Japanese Chirashi, twisted with the lettuce addition and use of sesame dressing. I also ordered soft tofu soup. I categorize this restaurant as neighborhood restaurant. It is serving home made style dishes. The one that the family will go to when no one wants to cook for the day, or have a long chat with close friends over meal. I would like to try out more dishes if I am in the area again.

Authentic, flavorful Korean food. We had black bean noodles, pan fried pork, kimchi fried rice and bibimbap. Everything was delicious!

Objectively, this isn't the most life-changing Korean food I've ever had. However, since it's hard to find good Korean food in Princeton in general, Asian Bistro is definitely a go-to locally. My family and I have been going here for years, and the food is consistently a hit. The owners are super sweet as well, and the restaurant is very cozy.

Came here during dinner and found the ambience very pleasant and relaxing. The space is clean and comfortable for a quiet dinner, the pork katsu with japchae was very delicious. Service was prompt and pleasant

Delivery Review: All in all, a very disappointing meal. My wife had a hankering for Korean, and cuisine that is sadly underserved in our area. Asian Bistro came up in our search and we decided to roll the dice. We ordered Beef Japchae, Squid Bibimbap, Seaweed Salad and a Spicy Tuna Roll. The japchae was...fine? The beef was extremely sparse and overall the dish lacked flavor. Same went for the bibimbap. Light on the squid, heavy on the veggies, and the egg was clearly precooked and thrown on top well after the fact. At least there was an ample amount of gochujang to give the dish some flavor. The seaweed salad was a quarter of a head of lettuce topped with a small scoop of seaweed. The attempt to make the paltry serving size appear greater failed. Too bad, because the small amount of seaweed present was actually quite good. Saving the worst for last, the spicy tuna roll was bizarre. After being greeted by an utterly flavorless mass in my first bite, I decided to dissect the next portion before eating it. The tuna itself was minced rather than diced, and had no other ingredients added. Just a small quantity of minced low quality tuna doused in what was supposed to be spicy mayo. Neither of us opted to eat any more of the roll, and for either my wife or I to turn down any sushi of any kind under any circumstance is quite the indictment. In summary, the quest for Korean food in our area continues.

I travel for work so I do tons of take-outs. I'm always looking for good Korean restaurants because as a Korean, that's my comfort food. I can confidently say, the food here is top-tier! It's made by Koreans (usually my way of testing) with great portions. Extremely friendly and you don't pay tip! The environment makes me feel like I'm back home in Korea at a local restaurant. Also, very impressive of how many food selections it has!

Yes, it's perfectly fine to make those loud slurping noises to show your appreciation for a great bowl of ramen. Here's what was ordered: - Signature Terakawa Ramen - 4.5/5 stars Boasted of rich, lovingly homemade pork bone soup with a good amount of sliced roast pork, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, ginger, scallions, and a jammy egg. The straight thin noodles were al dente. They maintained their texture in the broth, brilliantly. The broth was deep and flavorful. - Pork belly Donburi - 4.5/5 stars The juicy tender pork belly was plentiful, sliced perfectly as their we're not too thick nor paper thin. Their flavor was rich, savory with a balance of sweetness from the soy dashi sauce. Elegantly layered in top of a humongous bowl of seasoned rice, along with a sprinkle of scallions, pickled radishes, and sesame seeds. The photo on their menu does not do it justice. I would have loved a jammy egg to be included to bring the dish to the next level. - Gyoza - 3.5/5 stars 5 pieces of Pan-fried gyoza dumplings with their dumpling sauce. I would prefer them to have been fried a bit more. The balance between their pork and cabbage was even. They were delightfully light in both taste and texture. The service was very good. Both Willie, the owner, and a charming waiter named Sung served us. Sung kept coming over checking in to attest our cups were full, and if we needed anything else. I was told the have two locations: Philadelphia and the one we're dining at, Princeton Junction, NJ. Both locations serve homemade recipes from the Kumamoto region of Japan. You can get two 6-piece rolls (basic options like tuna, salmon, and California) for just $11 or three 6-piece rolls for $13. Both options come with a fresh green salad and hot miso and tofu soup. I had the three-roll lunch special with Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, and Spicy Yellowtail rolls.. all of the rolls tasted great and the freshness of the ingredients was obvious. The space is small, and the famous Kiseki pancakes take their time, about twenty to thirty minutes, as if they are being persuaded into existence rather than cooked. These Kiseki pancakes are not pancakes in the American sense. They are soufflé style creations, tall and trembling, as if gravity is only a suggestion. They arrive airy and delicate, with a gentle jiggle that suggests optimism. We ordered accordingly. I had the lemon ricotta, which tasted like sunlight had been filtered through dairy. Regular pancakes with eggs and bacon. A meal that could have been assembled in any roadside diner between here and forever. Yet even this was handled with care. As a senior graduating this year, I have nothing but gratitude for both the First Campus Center…read morelate meal hall and also the tireless workers that staff it. A hub for student activity and late night stragglers, the Princeton student experience would not be the same without Frist. Late meal credits here for the first two years were incredibly clutch lol. Highly recommend the Sushi, Chipotle Bowls, or even something from the Asian station. The fried chicken sandwich, Mozzarella sticks, and french fries are also to die for. Seating can be limited during rush hours (especially during the school year around 7:30-9pm), and the bathrooms are located in the basement so that can be a pain. Other than that though, I'll be sorely missing Frist late meal gallery in the months to come after I leave the orange bubble. Long live late meal.

Although at first seeming like that of a typical food court, the food at Frist manages to always surpass your expectations. The Pizza slices are outrageous, clocking in at over a pound for a less than four dollar slice. The fries and burger from the grill are greasy and indulgent enough to satisfy the naughtiest of my cravings, and the carne asada from the burrito station quite literally knocked my socks off the first few bites. What must not be missed are the David's cookies, on display in a bright case for all to see. At the beginning of a busy night, hundreds of these cookies are piled in only to be soon devoured by hungry underclassmen. These cookies have single handedly defined my Princeton experience. By far the best commercially available chocolate chunk cookie I've even, some of my best nights and worst nights on campus have been accompanied by anywhere from 3-8 of these morsels of heaven. A bite of these cookies causes minor cookiegasm in the consumer, and is sure to remind any faint cookie connoisseur what true love is. As a rising upperclassmen who will lose the infamous "Late Meal" benefit of the dining plan, I will by far miss these cookies the most. Lastly, the workers are great. They're there to serve you food and make sure you keep a smile on my face. A few days ago, I decided to risk it for the biscuit and go for the Kathi Roll from the grill (forking DELICIOUS). The grill attendant picked one up from the tray and tossed it on the flame, only soon to diagnose it as too stale to serve. With the gusto of Curry shooting from three, he picked that jawn up with his tongs and yeeted it straight across the room without a second thought, leaving me baffled and amazed. Last night, the grill attendant deviously tried to bribe me for my 16 inch cheesesteak, what a sly guy!! Just today, the cashier went through her typical rounds of asking me how many cookies I was carrying out in the plain, brown, nondescript Frist cookie bag. Too embarrassed to share the real number I was harboring, I went with a casual five. With a grin on her face, she remarked "I don't care how many you got in there Sugar, do well on your exams." This attitude is precisely what makes Frist the haven it is. Quick, delicious, accessible, and affordable food for students who sometimes just need to indulge in something that they'll feel sitting in their stomach for hours to come. For better or for worse, much of my first two years at Princeton will be remembered by late nights at Frist winding down on the rickety wooden chairs with some good nomz to keep me going.
