    Salmon avacado roll huge pieces!

This is pretty much our go to takeout spot. The service is top notch , the owners are so so kind and sweet. Food is always done super fast. Sushi is pretty good for the price! I like their Lo Mein and Especially LOVE that there are size options. I don't need 3 servings worth of takeout .... And I appreciate this restaurants willingness to offer sizes small and large. Thank you! Save money and calories lol. My only gripe with Asian cafe is they do not provide fortune cookies :/ huge Loss. The chicken lo mein is good but could use more chicken ..... but hey a good portion of food for $12 I'm not complaining.

I've had bao before and it's usually pork belly so to see a restaurant that bao is the specialty and they've got such a variety is exciting! They didn't disappoint. The charred Brussels sprouts have such a tasty flavor and definitely recommend. The person helping me today, Ganandeep, recommended some really tasty options that really made a difference, he mentioned they've got a bao for everyone. The interior is simple yet cute with decent seating. Definitely add this to your "gotta try this place" list.

I had nine different Baos and some were good, but some were suboptimal. A few of my favorites were the Bang Bang, lil Bao Wow, and Bao Boa which the combination of flavors made sense on a bao and they didn't fall apart as easily due to the amount of filling they had or how soaked they were from the steam. The yenta, prime time, and crispy chick were okay. I wish there was a little bit more sauce on each one. I feel like the yenta would've been better with a larger pizza of pastrami as cutting it so thin and tiny sort of destroyed the flavor of it. The gringo was a bit on the drier side and the sticky chicky was underwhelming, I think it needed something extra to enhance the flavor profile of it. Lastly, I had the Hot Motha Clucka which was my least favorite of the nine. Not enough buffalo sauce and too much blue cheese, ultimately the blue cheese overpowered everything else and made this one a bit distasteful. The prices were also not much better, Nine Baos for $47 is absurd.

With me being Asian and my family being familiar with Asian cuisine we looked forward to trying this new restaurant. We usually do a quick scan of the clientele to see if Asians are actually dining in the Asian restaurant. Didn't see many. I may have been the only Asian in our section. Staff consisted of mix of Asians and non-Asians. Before the food came out our waiter brought over a little black plate with 4 white towelettes rolled up like little marshmallows. My youngest thought it was a marshmallow and tried to eat it. We stopped him! Coincidentally, the booth behind us had a large party of adults and one of the adults did the same. Makes for a good laugh but down the road this could be a huge liability. Osaka restaurant should change up the presentation before a customer chokes on the little towelette. We started out with scallion pancakes, egg rolls, wonton soup, and hot & sour soup. Scallion pancakes were hot, crispy, and tasty. Egg rolls were blah. No flavor and all cabbage. No protein mixed in. Wonton soup is as basic as you can get. It was delicious! However, Hot and sour soup was a huge disappointment. It was dark colored water with a slight soy sauce and black pepper flavor. Where was the sour? Where was the heat? No black mushrooms. This had to be an off night for this restaurant. Taste test the batch before serving. The entrées. My son ordered sweet & sour chicken. Without requesting separate sauce, Osaka served the sauce on the side. Perfect for my son. He likes to dip the chicken into the sauce and eat with white rice. Since the chicken was served plain we all tried a piece to taste test the quality. Actually not bad. My son finished his whole dinner. Portion was huge too. My other son ordered Mala chicken. Delicious mix of chicken and vegetables with spicy heat. Huge portion. Definitely a favorite. My husband ordered Orange Chicken. Chicken was crispy on the outside, tender inside and sauce was sweet with orange flavor. Mild spice. He devoured almost all of it. Again another huge portion. I ordered the Teriyaki beef. It came with a side of steamed broccoli and rice. I chose brown rice. This beef was so tender and tasty. Melt in your mouth kind of tender. Teriyaki flavor could have been a little more intense but not bad at all. I would definitely order this again. Huge portion served. I ended up taking half of this home. It made for a pretty good lunch the next day. We finished off our meal with a shared dessert; Fried banana with vanilla ice cream. Order this dessert!! Don't live with regret missing out on this happy ending. My overall take on this place... try it out. It's Asian food in the suburbs. Not quite Chinatown or upper mainline but it's pretty good for Asian food in Downingtown. Huge portions. Some things are hit or miss but my guess is it's just starting out. Osaka is definitely worth checking out and coming back for your favorite dishes. (The other restaurants owned with Osaka are pretty good too.)

Not a seeker of super spicy, but growing tired of Asian dishes being constantly muted or made Korean-cloyingly sweet. The spice balanced & enhanced the Thai flavors of lemongrass & lime w/ mussels & rings of calamari floating in the broth. My Pad See Ew had that silky, savory, sauce- the depth of which sets it apart from other noodle dishes & is made more savory by adding Wagyu. Tried the Lamb Special- flavors were amazing! From the truffled mashed to the whole roasted onion. Portion could've been larger- they butterflied what looked to be a single, maybe double, lollipop, but presentation was great & flavors on point. Nice desert options- save room! Close seating, which we capitalized on! Made new friends AND tried their dishes- what all diners should do in this situation! Wouldn't say every dish is 10 out of 10; I'd say the food, service, & atmosphere in combination makes for a near 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend as a nice evening out. The fried cheesecake might have been better if it wasn't a mostly frozen rock under the tempura shell. And the sushi... First time, it was phenomenal but not the second time when I went back for a quick roll. The spicy salmon roll had a good flavor and texture but the second time: it had a large chunk of fat in the otherwise finely chopped salmon and filling. It completely killed it for me as it was in 2 of the 6 pieces. But the first time, it was great. Not sure if it's inconsistentcies between sushi chefs or what. Little pricey but reasonable for the area. They even have a giant bowl of the guava candies when you walk out.
