    Breakfast of champions

I've been gatekeeping this spot for years since the dining area is pretty small. The name of the store has changed but the food has always been some of the best filipino food you can find in this part of queens. There's no alcohol here but that doesn't matter because the food is what you come for. I usually get the filipino breakfast when I come. The electronic touch screen menu is pretty vast and has pictures to help. Also, this place is mostly a store for specialty filipino ingredients and items. Staff here has always been nice and welcoming to my family!! I will continue to come back and I hope the secret stays that way.

    Halo halo

My parents love this local Filipino spot and I agree both food and vibes are good (I love a little corner store restaurant duo). My bestie's parents also love this spot and an all Filipino crowd is always a green flag for me. They like the crispy pata and pancit malabon, and my brother liked their silogs. We also tried the halo halo, which I enjoyed.

I have been going to this Filipino grocery/store/restaurant for a few years now, over the years they have made a few improvements and renovations which makes the place a lot more pleasant with a better ambiance. Costumer service is still top notch. When you get in to the store you will be greeted pleasantly by the person behind the desk on the left side and you will see a digital menu board above and behind the desk so that you can order food for "to go". On the right side, there are a variety of pastry snacks that you can buy. At the back part of the facility is my favorite in this place, some chic, modern tables and chairs where you can eat your snacks or meal. Each table is equipped with a digital tablet where you can order and pay your meal and snacks. After a few minutes, the food that you ordered will arrive freshly cooked. So far, all the foods that I tried whenever I come to this place is really, really good. On my recent visit, my wife and I opted to just have a sweet snack called "halo-halo". It is a popular Filipino dessert known for its mixed shaved ice, various sweet ingredients and toppings often including ube ice cream and leche flan. This store offered a humongous halo-halo serving in a big bowl/mug. Way to the left of this place is another room where you can buy groceries and a variety of stuffs coming from homeland. I highly recommend this place when shopping for Filipino foods and groceries, you get to do your groceries and eat in one place at the same time. Prices are average and affordable, they keep the place clean and neat as much as they can, and as soon as you go in you will be pleased with Filipino hospitality.

Food is delicious and service is good. The ambiance is just right. Just wished portions were bigger.

Why in earth I did not know about this grocery store ? I was told that they are existing in the area for so long. Anyway thinking they are still not open for walk- in guests, I ordered via their website . There are limited they offer on their site. Nevertheless the service is prompt. When I arrived, my order is ready. Waited few minutes for my cooked order since I was early anyway. Browsed the store while waiting, the take out bar has a line. The shelves are filled with many Filipino merchandise I could think of. The register line is moving fast. The associates are helpful and friendly. Price wise, a little higher comparably to Asian grocery but the good thing with the store, it is a packaged store. It has a dine-in seating service before Covid. I truly enjoyed their halo-halo. Just perfect for today's temperature. There is a parking lot in the front. Close to a highway entry. Definitely coming back . It is closer than going to Woodside .

They are open during quarantine! YAY! You have to place the order online at www.getasianfood.com and then pick-up items (usually within the same day) at the store. This place reminds me so much of the local post office - they converted the dining area to an enclosed space with floor to ceiling dividers and left just the right amount of space for customers to enter and pickup their items. The website is easy to navigate and ordering was easy. I did not encounter any issues the 2 tunes that I placed an order. I had to take a star off only because they offer fewer items online than at the store.

This place is a hot spot for Filipino food. I grew up in the Philippines and always wanted to eat something similar to cooked food, how they make it back home. My kids love the food, too, which is a huge thing for us in choosing where to eat. We enjoy the BBQ sticks, but the portion is a smaller size compared to another spot, but it's delicious and tender. Longganisa (sweet Filipino sausages) are always a hit. Arroz Caldo is enjoyable, and if you're looking for a comfort food, try it. Of course, and we always get Lumpia (Shanghai rolls). My favorite, which I understand people won't get, is the Dinuguan. The saltiness and sourness of it blended with the meat.

Visit their website(PinoyNY.com) for their menu. It changes daily.

Currently you need to call or place an order online to pick up items or food at the store. Favorite items: Pork Asado(Sundays only), Pork Adobo, Pancit Bihon/Canton and their delicious BBQ Pork skewers. Ube bread for dessert/ snack if it's available. You can find free parking infront of the store. Just becareful of people and traffic. One of my favorite local restaurant/store.

Amazing Filipino food for the price. A very cute mom and pop shop set up with seating inside and a mini grocery store. Every menu item I've tried, I've liked so I'm not afraid to try new items here. The workers are super friendly and easy. Restaurant is super clean and their is a front parking lot for connivence. Love the spaghetti!

Pre-COVID-19: This grocery/turo-turo (cafeteria style "point-point" eatery), has been a staple here in Jamaica Queens for years with the initial name Nayong Filipino. It has then been renamed to Asian Food over the past decade. It is half a Filipino/Asian grocery and half restaurant with window seating. What makes them a household mart in this part of town is: They have various Asian groceries including sacks of rice, noodles, canned ingredients, chips, sauces, baked goods, and even shampoos and soaps. Ideally the products are mostly Filipino brands as there is actually a big Filipino population scattered in this surrounding neighborhood (born and raised). The staff there are always friendly and hard working and have even grown up seeing them years until now. They have a lot of regulars and new customers discovering that there's an actual Asian grocery in this nook of town. I've even had friends from Fresh Meadows dine here every Sunday for brunch after mass nearby. It's safe to say, this place has been well loved by old and new customers who want a taste of home. I love the selection of chips and pastries here, but what makes me come here is the turo turo, especially on a hot day. It's good to just eat simply with family and not let anyone cook. Since the selection changes (not dramatically), we usually order breakfast foods (after mass) such as the various silogs they make on spot and various lunch specials (ask). They have really delicious pork and chicken BBQ skewers that we usually get when we have company over and don't want to grill ourselves. You can make an order by phone for pickup (this included ordering big batches and pastries like sapin sapin- yehey). They have classic Filipino home-made dishes like adobo (pork and chicken), kaldereta, tinolang, monggo, and kare kare to give you an idea. Lastly, try their Halo Halo! It's my go-to in summer time. The portion is huge and even ok to share if you're not that hungry for dessert. They don't always use ube and sometimes top it off with corn icecream, mango, or vanilla from Magnolia (you can buy cases in the freezer section). It's a no-frills, homey Filipino restaurant with mostly a Filipino local crowd. Lots of seating available (before COVID-19). Parking lot in front. Bathroom available. Accepts cash and card! Mangaon ta!

Dinning area . Renovated from last time we came which was maybe before covid
    Maribelle T.

They renovated since last time we came in and it looks feels nice. You are able to order your food at your table with the kiosk they have by the table and you can pay after ordering too. The food looks exactly like it does on their menu. We got the bistek and rice with mango salad and bokchoy. My husband had the pork belly and eggs with cucumber salad. It was good. The food was fresh the sales especially. Some places give you old sales and you can tell. Definitley recommend .

Top: Palabok, Pancit noodles, grilled pork Bottom: Pork Giniling, Bicol Express, Kaldereta Beef

The place has changed a bit, slightly different decor from the last time we were there. The atmosphere was more "bakya" than Kabayan (from across the street). Still nice. They kept the bar, which is good. The staff was friendly, but kind of rushed us to get our orders before the show started. They explained it would have been more difficult to take orders later. The food was really, really good. All the flavors were on point. For the appetizer, we had some Crispy Chicken Skins. It was nice and crispy, but it needed some more salt. We had the Port Belly Kare-Kare, Beef Salpicao, the Pancit Palabok, Laing and Gambas. The one that stole the show was the Bagnet. That was mind blowing! Very flavorful and I highly recommend it. Dare I say that the food was better than Kabayan. The Key Of C band rocked the whole night through. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the great music. It was such a fun-filled night. The chicken barbecue sticks were flavorful and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the lumpia Shanghai didn't quite hit the mark for me :( it tasted like it was fried in older oil, and the filling was very minimal, so it felt like mostly wrapper. I was most excited to try the pork sinigang. While the broth had good flavor, the pork didn't taste freshly cooked and came across as if it may have been made a day or two prior. Overall, I really liked the vibe of this place and the friendly service, which makes me hopeful that my next visit will be better. I'd definitely be open to giving it another try.

I don't know much about Filipino food, all I know is that every thing I got here was heavily seasoned, hearty home cooking. I got the combo with three dishes. First I got the eggplant and pork, which was seasoned with shrimp paste. This was very rich and salty and savory, and although I have never really eaten Filipino food before, this dish gave me an intense food memory but I couldn't nail down what it was reminding me of. The pork is soft and fatty and gelatinous. I also got some kind of chicken stew which came in a sauce of tomato and bell pepper. This was my least favorite the three, but still a solid dish. It reminded me of my mom's chicken chili but more intense and heavily seasoned. The chicken has small bone fragments I had to be careful to pick out. Lastly, I got the pork adobo on the employees recommendation. It was super tangy and vinegary and the pork was very soft and fatty. I got noodles with my meal, but after they were already on my plate the employee told me all these dishes go very well with rice. I wish I had gotten rice, it seems that's the way to go and I will certainly do so when I return. This food is hearty and well seasoned and the portions were very large and more than worth the price. I paired my meal with a couple interesting drinks and a dessert from the grocery sections and had a fantastic meal. Looking forward to my next visit.
