I have been here so many times in the past, this place offers Filipino traditional cuisine, pastries and snacks. Today I passed by to get a quick bite that I can eat to go. I decided to buy a pork bun and Ube hopia (purple yam in a flaky pastry). I was unable to finish everything as it was a lot for me. I noticed that the pork bun does not have enough pork filling in it, it's mostly bread, but I enjoyed the ube hopia, has enough purple yam in it. I would rate this place a four star basing on the foods that I have already tried in the past and that amazing hopia that I just tried. Parking in this area is a little bit of a challenge, they keep their store nice and clean and the prices of their food is fair.

This place is one of our take-out spots. We order the same food over and over. Our entire clan is a big fan of their crispy pata (crispy pork leg). The meat is tender and juicy, and the skin is nicely crisp and done. Every time we order this, we partner it with their Bulalo (beef bone marrow soup). The only downside part was it was not consistent; sometimes the meat and tendon were tender, and sometimes not, but the soup was delicious. We also dine in here when we have companies. It's a good place for a bigger group, and they have an extensive selection of Filipino food you can order from.

I can't really compare this to any other places I've been. There's like only 3 spots I know all of NYC. Thought I try this place out. The longsilog combo was alright. A bit slightly on the pricey side and the portion and flavors wasn't really there besides the sausage. The pork belly was a bit on the sour side. Overall the experience with the takeout order almost doubling price of the cost of the order wasn't great. I would definitely do pickup next time around and will try other dishes. I will surely order from them again.

Beautiful place to dine. We were the only ones there for breakfast. Food came out fast, just wish the coffee had refills.

It's good that they're delivering during COVID-19. I'm just a little disappointed on how small the servings are. But the food is good.

I love that they renovated and now have a dining room with iPads to order. It does get crowded on the weekends but you can get a table pretty quickly. Their breakfast silogs come with free coffee which is a great value. They also kept their market in the back with Filipino items that you can't find in Asian stores. There's also baked items in the front including fresh pandasal. The best part of this place is the staff. They are the friendliest. I've been coming here for over 30 years and they always have a smile on their face. During Covid, they stayed open and literally kept me fed with their groceries. A few years ago, they upgraded the store and added an eatery. My take: this was such a smart move. The eatery brings back even more nostalgia, joy, and happiness. What makes me happiest is the way they prepare the food--it feels like my own mom is in the kitchen, cooking and serving it straight to my table. Imagine how that feels. The service is excellent. Everyone is smiling and genuinely happy, which creates a warm, welcoming ambiance. Now that they have an eatery, I find myself coming back even more. It's such a great addition, especially with their tapsilogan meals--they truly make me feel at home. This place is a home away from home, and I really admire the smiling faces of the staff.

The place has changed a bit, slightly different decor from the last time we were there. The atmosphere was more "bakya" than Kabayan (from across the street). Still nice. They kept the bar, which is good. The staff was friendly, but kind of rushed us to get our orders before the show started. They explained it would have been more difficult to take orders later. The food was really, really good. All the flavors were on point. For the appetizer, we had some Crispy Chicken Skins. It was nice and crispy, but it needed some more salt. We had the Port Belly Kare-Kare, Beef Salpicao, the Pancit Palabok, Laing and Gambas. The one that stole the show was the Bagnet. That was mind blowing! Very flavorful and I highly recommend it. Dare I say that the food was better than Kabayan. The Key Of C band rocked the whole night through. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the great music. It was such a fun-filled night. Definitely worth coming back to whether it's for the food or the music.

The chicken barbecue sticks were flavorful and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the lumpia Shanghai didn't quite hit the mark for me :( it tasted like it was fried in older oil, and the filling was very minimal, so it felt like mostly wrapper. I was most excited to try the pork sinigang. While the broth had good flavor, the pork didn't taste freshly cooked and came across as if it may have been made a day or two prior. Overall, I really liked the vibe of this place and the friendly service, which makes me hopeful that my next visit will be better. I'd definitely be open to giving it another try.

In the middle of all the conversations, I grabbed my drinks and accidentally left my pastries on the counter. I didn't realize it until much later! I quickly sent them a DM, and they responded right away, telling me to come back the next day for fresh replacements. That level of kindness and customer service is rare these days. The team at Kora Bakery has always been amazinghumble, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative of their customers. I've been supporting them since their pop-up days, and experiences like this are exactly why I'll continue to do so. Beyond the delicious baked goods, it's the people behind the bakery that make it such a special place. Well, that said I did try their new pastry which is spam and cheese and delicious. I was sadly not a fan of the spam and egg croissant or the flan donut. The flan was too dense and thick for our liking, and I wasn't a fan of the sticky coating of the spam and egg croissant. Has potential, but needs a bit of improvement with execution - the flan could be lighter, ube cookie softer, and the spam and egg croissant could've been just crispy and buttery on the outside. 4/5

I'm a new fan! Was learning a lot more about Filipino restaurants in Elmhurst & on Queens Blvd…read more because they never seem like a lot of options for a decent lunch when I'd run errands at Target. A friend mentioned a grocery store nearby & I was happy enough since grocery stores are my one of favorite things. Before the restaurant space & grocery consolidated, I noticed the restaurant first (there were many different doors) & was wondering what kind of businesses was it - saw a few tables & it looked busy with people buying food at the steam tables. I looked but was intimidated by the different stews & nothing was labeled. Also, the giant name on the awning doesn't really show that it's a food business, I guess unless you know the language. I always thought it was some kind of furniture store. The "restaurant" has now moved inside the grocery store. I think it works pretty well, because it's so casual. There's about 6-8 tables and every time I go there's always aunties and elders eating. & a lot of people after work or maybe school going in to pick up their dinner. The food is fresh! I recommend the 2 combo plate & add a side of soup. There's a little bit of ordering anxiety, but I watch what other people are getting & if they're not too busy the young workers behind the counter are very nice about explaining things. I've had the beef calderata (beef stew & tomato), pork with liver sauce (actually really good, soy-saucey & deep. Not a strong liver flavor), vegetables (long beans, carrot & okra) in a sort of yellow, turmeric? coconut curry. Highly recommend getting their Sinigang soup of the day. If you like kind of hot & sour flavors (more on the sour end but a clear broth) try it! It's usually with pork but I had a special Salmon one & it was delicious! Found a whole okra & good vegetables in it. Ask for garlic rice (might be extra), it's worth it! There's a lot of options to try, sometimes there's BBQ skewers. You can also get individual sides, Pancit (a rice vermicelli noodle), saw a plate of Pancit Canton (lo mein noodles) come out from the back for a lady. Wish things were labeled or there was a written sign. Very much geared towards Filipino customers who are familiar with the dishes so I guess it's not a high priority. You also can't go wrong with Chicken Adobo (stewed chicken with soy sauce, vinegar, ginger. But has bones). The tables are clean & it's like a little canteen feel where every seems to run into an auntie or uncle they know. There's a case with a lot of coconut desserts & tapioca flour treats, and drinks. One single bathroom FYI. I forget if it's cash only (their register is separate from the grocery's), but paying with exact change in cash is probably easiest.
