As we crossed the threshold of this dimly lit fine Asian cuisine the first thing we notice is a majestic aquarium with many rare colorful species of fish and as we are lost in thought of how they acquired such exotic fish we are greeted with an energetic hostess who directs us to a booth nestled in a cozy corner. As we look over the menu we can hear the kitchen buzzing with activity as if we are in some Asian delicacy factory. We are quickly rewarded for our choice in restaurants with two perfectly chilled glasses of water garnished with a straw. Upon glancing at the table I noticed I have never seen such fine cutlery and with such a magnificent glimmer to them. When we finally came to our senses and felt we returned from our trip of pure Asian cuisine ecstasy we ordered one of our favorites, the Tom Yum soup. While we waited we watched the exotic fish interact with the hostess as she gestured against the glass and these beautiful creatures followed her fingertips, it was quite the show. Once our soup arrived it was a complete delight to the senses and threw us right on some type of flavor flash flood and we completely loss ourselves in the variety of fine flavors and ingredients this soup possessed. As we finished off the extravagant soup fit for an emperor we concluded that we would order the beef rendan with brown rice, a decision we will always remember. From the moment our entrée arrived the tantalizing aroma of Thai curry and fine herbs and spices assaulted our nostrils that were just recovering from the life altering Tom Yum soup. As we dove into the beef rendan I realized that I completely lost myself in the sautéed beef and vegetables and I really had no intention of coming down from this cascade of Asian delicacies! Custome service is rude and just plane offensive. I placed an order for pickup and I walk in and there's someone there he just looks at me like I'm stupid at the register. Finally someone else comes out and literally YELLS are you mark for pick up order. I get my food and okay let's start. Fried rice is dry and disgusting it's just too disappointing I went to Walmart to buy microwaveable rice to eat with my food. I had the curry chicken I think it was ALL TOFU AND EGGPLANT MAYBE 2 pieces of CHICKEN SERIOUSLY. I still ate the food cause I paid for it but it was not good at all and with every bite I had anger for the money wasted on such poor and quality food. read more

Service was excellent...food not so much!! Started with Cream Cheese Rangoon, cream cheese had a sweet taste to it. Did not come with any sauce for dipping. Kung Pao Chicken had no spice or heat to it and Sesame Chicken was deep fried with to much coating on it. Not much flavor either. Spring roll was really undercooked on the inside. Egg Drop soup had NO flavor!! Fried rice dry and tasteless. All in all not a good experience. Walked away leaving a lot of food on our plates. In from out of town, we forgot to do our pre-trip homework to scope out restaurants. We drove till we found either an Asian or Thai restaurant. This was our Lucky day! We found "Asian Gourmet" tucked into a strip mall. We were greeted with smiles and they let us sit at the table of our choice. The first thing I ordered was the small Wonton soup. It was a wonderful surprise to see it in a dark clear broth. ... something I haven't seen for years. IT WAS YUMMY YUMMY! The crispy cream cheese wonton appetizer (name?) was delicious but the best part was that there were 10 of them for $4.50! Yeah! We had Orange Chicken and Butter Shrimp. We both heartily recommend them and would love to have them again!!! The shrimp was so crispy fried with somehow the temperature staying hot and perfectly cooked! With the shrimp were cooked with sliced red onions, green onions, regular onions, butter and minced garlic. I had the white rice and really loved eating it all. I have to say the restaurant was clean and the service was perfect. I wish "Asian Gourmet " was in Tempe instead of Yuma. But the good folk in Yuma truly deserve this gem. read more

I have either eaten there or ordered carry out. At all time's it has been fantastic. The portions and the quality of the food is beyond my expectations. This is a great little chinese place and being in Yuma that is saying a lot. One of the side dishes I find particularly wonderful is the fried rice. The rice is not on the salty side and has more flavor than other places in town. And mixing the some of their wonton soup and rice together is a fabulous combination that has because a family favorite. I'm glad my friend introduced me to this little gem back when it was called by a different name but same great flavors. My first experience was their super combo bowls and oh my was that tasty with sweet curry yum! I suggest that you get it with the fried rice because the noodles are bland and detract in my opinion from this marvelous dish! Overall I'm glad to have this place in Yuma to go to give me chinese-american food fix. read more

Horrible experience. They double charged us last time we were there, and then questioned us about it. We didn't get the money back or a free meal, it has to go through someone else first. But he then admitted that it's happened several times before. The guy was rude and mean to us after that. We saw him yell at another waitress, who was giving us better service than he was! He told us he was the server and if we have a problem we need to tell him. But she came over and asked, that's not our fault. The food itself was ok, not that great. Won't be returning again. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice lunch. read more

Absolutely sorry place of a restaurant, I ordered food togo I look at the menu and on the description nowhere on there menu it says tofu at all. I ordered curry chicken and in the descriptions it doesn't include tofu but guess what's in my food 90 percent of it is tofu? Did I order it? No. Did it say it had tofu? No. If I knew it had tofu I would have informed them that I didn't want tofu. I called them and the person who answered did not care at all and just hung up on me. As if my opinion did not matter because they already had my money. It's really sad I spent $30 at their place and was left unsatisfied. the food is not good at all it taste plain and the egg plants are bland and have a weird texture. Please save your time and don't waste it here. professionalism is non existent. food is not close to what they say. Please take my words and the time I spent to write this seriously and don't eat here at all. Sad time and waste of money. read more

We had eaten here when it was the Highway 95 restaurant two times and had not gone back. We saw that the restaurant had re-open with new owners. We found a coupon so decided to give it another go. The lunch menu was long with lots of choices at $6.55. We had the broccoli Beef and the Kung Pow and enjoyed both meals. The service was very fast. Hardly had time to eat the soup when the meal came. I did not think a substantial charge for tea was worth the extra cost. Get them a try. read more
