No no no. Don't go here. Came here with my family of 5. Place was 100% empty on a Friday at 6pm except for the owner's kids watching cartoons on the main TV near our table at a VERY LOUD VOLUME next to us the entire time. Kinda ruined the ambience of going to a Chinese restaurant! Where's the music? Not to mention it was just inappropriate and annoying. The service was generally fine but she was very unenthusiastic about everything. Food lacked spice or flavor or anything remarkable. Beef tasted funny. My chicken pad Thai was not so good but not terrible. Everyone agreed it was average or less than average food. Just disappointing experience here. We ate lunch at this so-called restaurant. All the food is overcooked, the 'hot' tea was tepid at best, the 'sweet' tea required several extra packets of sugar, and both came by way of a smart mouthed (being kind with my description) waitress who argued beyong reason that both teas were not what we told her they were. The wonton soup required a fork to consume and beef/chicken with broccoli we ordered was mostly broccoli and barely warm. Egg rolls were dark and over cooked too. On arrival for dinner, we were seated promptly. When the waitress took our order, there was a small language problem, but nothing we could not deal with. Our food came quickly, and tasted good. Nothing special, but good. After finishing my meal, I went to the bathroom. The sink had a smokey, dingy coating, that, when I scraped it with my fingernail, it came right off........ telling me that the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while. We have eaten at Asian Grill three times in the last couple of months. We have eaten different things each time along with a couple of things twice. I love Chinese Buffets but the food here is so good that we keep coming back. The vegetable tempura is really good but the best part is the dipping sauce that comes with it. I could dip leather in that stuff and like it. We always go around 3pm because of our schedules, so there are never many customers. We get our favorite table by the window and we have the waitress's full attention. She is there if we need something but she doesn't hover. Just what I like. I highly recommend anything on the menu as nothing we have tried has disappointed. They don't have a combination plate but the portions are plenty. read more

I used to love this place. Would stop and get take home from buffet. So I was disappointed when I stopped and ordered 3 meals for take out and none of it was good. The egg rolls were soured. This place really surprised me. I was in town for a few weeks working. I yelped for Chinese and it was close to me. Apparently this restaurant is under new ownership from what I later read. I ordered my guilty pleasure, General Tso's chicken. It was excellent. The chicken was cut in uniform pieces and was cooked perfectly. It wasn't drowning in sauce and the veggies just added enough to the meal so I could pretend I made a healthy choice. The steamed rice was fresh and fragrant. It was just delicious. So I tried this place again, half thinking they got lucky. It was about 15 minutes before closing when I arrived. The young couple (who I assume are the new owners) were cleaning up for the night and the door leading to the kitchen had been propped open for cleaning. The kitchen was absolutely spotless. I was impressed. The service was friendly and it was apparent my business was appreciated. My second General Tso's was just as delicious as the first. I enjoyed the food so much I treated my coworkers to take out from here. It was 10 different orders. One order was off menu for my vegetarian buddy (extra spicy tofu Pad Thai....which he said was excellent! ) and the owners were more than happy to accommodate him. We've only been here once but we were impressed for our small town to have a decent Asian food place where everything is cooked to order. It's just off 377 and a little hard to notice but it's worth trying from time to time. Much better than a buffet where the food sits there all day. read more

The food is always fresh, cooked to order and good. Have not had a bad meal here. Have eaten in (good, friendly service) and taken out (fast and still hot when I get home). Prices are very reasonable. I like it much better than the Buffet in town or Panda express (fast food chinese). It's a little hard to find, on Hwy 377 next to the Subway and sort of across from Kroger. Definitely worth the visit. read more

New to Granbury and VERY excited to have tried this place out. Family owned restaurant with friendly smiles and amazing food! We had sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, shrimp with vegetables, Kung pao chicken, and walnut shrimp with cream cheese Rangoon as an appetizer. Every bite was better than the last. Sweet sour was just the right mixture of sweet, the entrees were perfectly spiced and cooked fresh and perfectly. Had fried rice with the dishes and it was even cooked perfectly. Owners young daughters were very involved, polite, professional and super attentive. Everything was cooked fresh and enjoyable. Was worried with limited staff that our visit would take too long but the wait is well worth it for what they produced! Will definitely be back! Hands down, five stars!! read more

Stopped in while spending a weekend in Granbury. It was around 5:30 PM but there were only 3-4 tables occupied in the restaurant. There were many people picking up takeout orders. I stuck with Chinese-American dishes including hot and sour soup, an eggroll, and chicken in garlic sauce. The soup wasn't served very hot, but the flavors were good. The eggroll was typical. The chicken was served in a huge portion and everything from the sliced and diced vegetables to the chicken was tasty and fresh. Above all the garlic sauce was perfectly seasoned. If you're looking for solid Americanized Chinese dishes, Asian Grill is a good place to stop by. read more

The food has been consistently good,with the exception of our recent lunch experience. My husband and I ordered 2 different dishes, we both got the same dish .. ok I will eat it no big deal. We both started to eat and something was off. It had a fuel taste to it. We told the waitress and she took the plates back to the kitchen and you could hear the cook raise his voice and get mad. The waitress never offered to have the dishes remade instead crossed off the entrees and handed us the bill.. No I am sorry nothing. She acted as if we were trying to rip them off. We ate here a while back after many momths and the food was ok but no service. The owners wait on the table and cook, husband and wife. Their two little girls who were doing homework came over and ask what we wsnted to drink. Finally the owner took our order and disappeared to the kitchen. No refills nothing pay at the front counter. Was just here last night. Ordered Chicken Moo Goo Gai Pan. It was good, though the "pancakes" are more like thin tortillas. I've been here a bunch of times. We have tried Asian Grill three times, always takeout. It is consistently good. The ingredients are fresh. I took off one star because even asking for entrees "extra spicy", it isn't spicy. We have been to the Asian Grill several times over the past year. The food is wonderful - great selection and very fresh. The service was great. They do not have a large staff, but the limited staff is always friendly and accommodating. This is a small grill in a small town - not a fancy restaurant in a large metroplex. Under new management which I wasn't aware of, thought it was owned by previous people who had been there for many years. Thought we would give it a try & we were surprised. I go to Asian Grill on a regular basis and have to say it is the best Chinese Food I have tasted. Their Sweet & Sour Chicken is incredible, as is their Hot & Sour soup. Tried to have lunch here. The food was terrible. My wife took one bite of her sesame chicken and that was it. Didn't want to comp here. After just flat out refusing to pay for her meal they agreed. Why write a bad review? These people are kind and work hard. The place is clean. The food is very good. Large portions.The best in Granbury for sure. We order take out about 2 times a month and this is our place for sure. Moo Goo Gai Pan is very good. General Tso Chicken is very good. Very good soup.
