A friend of mine recommended this spot and I was excited to try a place that has both sushi and other typical Chinese options since my bf isn't a fan of sushi. I ordered general tso's chicken, chicken chow fun, a crunchy roll, two egg rolls, fried rice, and wonton soup since I wanted to try several things and have leftovers. Everything was delicious! My bf didn't like the chow fun, but he's not a noodle fan, so not surprising. I enjoyed it, especially with a bit of soy and hot sauce. We both loved the general tso's chicken. It was still nice and crispy upon delivery and had a great flavor. We both liked the fried rice and the egg rolls were delicious as well. Loved my sushi and soup! Overall, this is a great spot to order delivery from. I definitely overspent and would look to see if I can order directly from the restaurant to avoid delivery app fees, but it was a lot of food and both of us will have leftovers so I'm pretty happy with it! Ordered delivery by phone and was promised delivery within 45 minutes and 1 hour. (The distance to my home is 1.5 mi.) The order arrived over 1.5 hours later--cold. Upon delivery, it turned out there was also an unexpected $6.25 Door Dash delivery charge listed on the receipt, which was not disclosed when I placed the order and was not listed on the menu. I have ordered delivery many times before from this place and it was always free for orders above $15. When I called to complain about the undisclosed delivery fee, the manager admitted they don't advertise the delivery fee but she was otherwise unhelpful and dismissive. read more

I was tickled by this little find that was close to the harbor and my hotel. When I talked in a woman was attacking a huge amount of fresh green beans on the table which I took to be a good sign and I was right! The food is fresh and took about 10 mins to prepare as promised. Service was friendly and helpful. She answered questions about the size of dishes and brought out bowls to show me the difference between small and large. I overheard her on the phone patiently explaining the types of veggies in a dish in detail. This place is a must!! We have enjoyed their food three times in the past month!! Btw they also have very timely service and it's often delivered faster than the suggested time once ordered. I have tried three different entrees all three times and have enjoyed them all: 1. My favorite is their Drunken Noodle Combination!! The spice was perfect as it was spicy but not too spicy. It was enough to clear your nose right up, and it does not linger on. (5/5) 2. The Pad Thai combination is also very delicious!! I don't order it with the egg in it because that isn't my thing, but everything else was superb! The spice on this is a bit spicier than the drunken noodle spice, but it doesn't linger too long. The only thing I would suggest and not really critique on this dish is I wonder how this would be with the addition of chopped up mushrooms? (5/5) 3. The Singapore Noodle combination was also pretty legit!! As you all can tell if you have read this far, I love spicy food. This was not as spicy as the other two but has a wide variety of flavors and textures. Hot and sour soup was tasty and not too gloppy. Chicken and rice soup - broth was okay, but besides rice, only had a few pieces of chicken. Tofu vegetable soup. Good amount of veggies and tofu. Black bean chicken. Pretty tasty but amount of chicken was a little lacking. Cashew chicken didn't have the usually brown sauce and thigh meat. It was white meat chicken and had broccoli? DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT! I am Chinese and ashamed that these people consider themselves a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the chow mein combination dinner, and it turns out these are not noodles! I was just appalled - google "chow mein" and that's what you get! When I called, this is what the restaurant said: Them: There are no noodles. This is the east coast, and we call this chow mein, but on the west coast they call it chop suey. So, it's really a chop suey not a chow mein. If you want noodles, you should order lo mein. Me: If it's chop suey, then call it chop suey! I have been to every state on the east coast, travel about 3,000 miles/week, and you are the ONLY Chinese restaurant to call this chow mein instead of chop suey. Them: Well you ordered under the entrees menu, and the noodle dishes are under the noodles menu. Me: Lo mein is also under the same section as the chow mein in the combinations section, so does this mean lo mein are not noodles? Them: No, lo mein is noodles. Does anyone else see the fault in their logic? If noodle dishes are only under the noodles menu, then lo mein needs to be removed under the combinations section as well. Thankfully I ordered via yelp's eat24 system, so I was able to get a refund on the entree. So, don't order from the restaurant directly in case it's wrong! When I took a quick glance in my bag, I said to the driver, "I didn't order salad!" He said, "You ordered a dinner right? It comes with it." I should've known this was my first omen. For Chinese carry out, I can't really complain and their late hours make being a student convenient. I honestly like their food but they always seem to get my sushi orders wrong, forget my rice completely (in which they later came back to deliver hehe), and it also gets quite hard to eat when they always forget utensils.. Yeah, you've probably had better, and you've definitely had worse, but their lunch specials are hard to beat. Weird note - the crab rangoons are surprisingly sweet. It's not bad, just surprising. You get two if you have that as your side option with the lunch special. I also got an egg roll cause I'm a fatty at heart, and it was really good. Getting veggies instead of rice costs a bit more, but it's like a buck, so if you're into that you'll save money. The fried rice, however, is pretty good, not amazing and could use some more flavor to it. The shrimps in the dish were nicely fried and fairly large. There are two dishes that I always gravitate to - that's the CRISPY BEEF (SPICY) and General Tao's chicken (sweet/spicy) - both are excellent!! I've been known on occasion to order both dishes and be set for a few days. Portions are generous and comes with your option of white, fried or brown rice (when you don't want to be a total sloth, you can opt for the brown rice (for a fee of $1.50)). I've had the sushi from here and its quite good as well - not knock you off your chair good, but for the price, its worth a try! Overall - if you're feeling lazy and are craving chinese, give it a shot!! Oh, and not to mention FAST DELIVERY, which is a huge plus!! I decided to step away from my usual Chinese delivery and take a chance on Asian Harbor. So glad I did. I ordered the vege Pad Thai and lemongrass seafood salad...YUM!! The pad thai, which was not greasy(YAY!) was a yummy union of citrus/tangy, spicy, sweet. While the lemongrass seafood salad with its generous helping of scallops, shrimp, calamari, surimi/imitation crab meat on lettuce that was actually fresh and crunchy was a total win. I'm not sure what was on the salad, it looked like there was nothing at all. However, there was a faint but pleasant flavor. My pad thai was piping hot when I popped the lid, not even forty minutes after placing my order, and my salad wasn't cold, but, nice and cool. Not as spicy as I preferred but really good overall. Although it's six pieces, the pieces are pretty thick. Tasted very fresh too. In general all of the food is pretty bland and is a poor representation of authentic asian food, whatever you order. Sushi: Generally fresh enough to eat, and very cheap. But it's also usually poorly rolled, doesn't taste great and is a bit dry. I love sushi but I have this in front of me right now and I don't really want to eat it. Thai: Bad. I got pad thai here and it tasted like pretty much nothing... And there were raw onions in it. What is that? Chinese: Very sweet, on average, with low quality ingredients. They get basics close to what they should be, e.g. donuts or chicken on a stick, but everything tastes a bit off. Overall, I'd pass. read more

We come to Baltimore every 4-6 weeks for treatment at Johns Hopkins and my go to place for delivery is Asian Harbor. I have yet to have something on the menu I didn't like. Their sushi is freshly made every time and I am obsessed with the steamed edamame, the best!! Other favorites are the various combination plates - shrimp and broccoli & bourbon chicken are big hits and the spring rolls, both shrimp and vegetable. Everything is delicious. I could tell it's freshness by the look of the avocado, as we all know will turn brown if exposed too long to air once cut. The Spare Ribs- four came in a little stay warm bag....were cooked just right, and did not taste stale and dry (as most spare ribs taste that I eat from places like this). Not happy at all. The reviews and stars suggested that his was a pretty good place but it wasn't even close by a far stretch. The chicken and broccoli was so slimy, the sauce was gelatin like and didn't taste like anything. It tasted like it was frozen then microwaved with some old tasteless sauce thrown on. The vegetables were fresh but the rest of it disappointed. I also paid for 20 oz soda and got a 16.5 oz soda. Delivery was quicker than expected and steamed dumplings were ok. Spicy lovers rejoice! Living in the midst of a bunch of Korean restaurants that surprisingly won't make food as spicy as we would like, Asian Harbor is a godsend. They will make anything spicy for you, including the appetizer soups, and if you're really craving some heat put "as spicy as possible" in the Seamless notes for some of the hottest Chinese food ever. It's definitely the best Chinese takeout I've had in the area, whether you like it spicy or not.
