This is certainly one for the Park Cities crowd, especially those who have never had real Thai food (by which I mean some mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall place that doesn't cater to American palates). The flavor of the pad thai was just wrong. Let's not even talk about the "sushi" appetizer, $10 for a weirdly deep-fried, hard-as-a-rock roll with absolutely zero flavor aside from the spicy sauce it was doused in. (My mistake for ordering sushi at a Thai place, I suppose.) And my yellow curry chicken was a bowl of thin, soupy curry sauce with three massive chunks of sweet potato and five tiny strings of chicken remnants. Disgusting and overpriced. The ambiance is odd, and the atmosphere is terrible. My table for two was seated right next to a table of four even though there were plenty of other open tables in the restaurant at that time. As the place inexplicably filled up (seriously, people?? you'd wait in line for this garbage??), it was even more claustrophobic. The tables are so close to each other that you could all too easily join your neighbors' conversation. Oh, one other thing -- they claimed to have no availability for reservations even as early as 5:30 pm for a Friday night when I tried to book the day before. We showed up at 6 pm anyway, and guess what? Tables galore. I don't appreciate being lied to just so your restaurant looks more popular. I won't be back. read more

Excellent service. These people are generous to please you with a warm and calming ambiance. Even the guy taking food orders is very respectful and helpful and delightful. Menu is expansive so look out, you can go spicy, you can go spring rolls & salads to heavier dishes. The chicken is perfectly cooked, tender, and cut into good-sized pieces. About average. Don't come here looking for authentic Thai food, its basically Thai food run through an Americanized filter. Ordered pad thai, not bad. The sauce was really sweet, would have been nice to have a little spice to offset all the sweetness. The proteins were cooked well and had nice flavor. Decor is modern and nice. Everything is clean. This is hands down my favorite Thai place in Dallas! There are two locations but I've only been to the one on Oak Lawn, which is in a cute little shopping center. The restaurant itself is on the small side, but it's trendy and the waitstaff is awesome. Just as a heads up, they are closed on Sundays! My husband and I have only eaten in the actual restaurant twice, but we order meals to go just about every other week! The Basil Fried Rice is my favorite dish and it's absolutely addictive! Firstly, I love how they've done the interior decor- it's very inviting. The restaurant is small but it gives it a cozy feel and service is fast so they definitely maintain over crowding. This was actually my third time coming here! The last two times I ordered the Pad See Iew with Tofu which I throughly enjoyed. This time however, I wanted more vegetables in my dish and wanted to try something new so I went with the Lo Mein (w/ Tofu) I requested it to be medium spicy (which I'll modify the next time I visit because to me it wasn't spicy enough). Besides that, the dish was definitely flavorful! I also ordered the Miso Soup (in it there is Miso Soy, Soft Tofu, Seaweed, and Scallions) which was a perfect addition with the Lo Mein and complimented the frigid weather! read more

The food is actually REALLY tasty. But this location decided to skimp on ingredients and still upcharge the same. I got a noodle dish ($12) that charges an extra $6 for scallops... It came with 3-4 before but when I called to figure out why my to-go order had less than that they said they changed it to 2... $6 for that?! Kind of disappointing. I loved this place because it is healthy AND tasty but I will definitely think twice about spending money at a place that is trying to skimp at a higher pricepoint. We just had dinner here, great service and were greeted promptly when my wife and I arrived. The appetizers we ordered were amazingly very good, chicken satay and shrimp rangoons were off the hook creative and excellent!! We both ordered different curry meals to try, Red curry beef bowl and chicken Massaman. Both the Beef and Chicken were extremely dry like they were over boiled and had no flavor as if they just added the meat to the already made curry sauce. My wife had the chicken and said it had a left over taste, the massaman had a really sweet flavor in the curry most likely from the butter nut squash. We had high hopes after the great appetizers, but it was a miss on the entrees. Again great service and fun atmosphere! Perhaps the rap music in the back could be lowered, it didn't really go with your Restaurant Ambience. read more

While on business in Dallas I had to try a few of the numerous vegetarian restaurants that popped up on my trusty Yelp!. The Mint came up and I haven't had Thai in a while so I thought I'd swing by for a bite before I headed to the airport to leave. Well of course it's pouring rain today and since I don't know the roads here well I figured I might as well carry out and eat at the airport. They picked up the phone right away, took my order, and told me it'd be ready in 10. I was there in 8 minutes and my food was hot and wrapped. I paid and left. I took others advice and ordered the tofu pad thai. I wasn't hungry when I picked up the food but it smelled SO GOOD that I ended feeling like I was starving!!! I ended up eating on the way to the airport. Now usually I'm a very neat eater in the car but I guess I was trying to shovel the pad thai into my mouth so fast that I ended up dropping some in the car. *wince* Good good food! And lots of it! By the time I was at the airport I had eaten half of my take out and was full. I also took the advice of other Yelpers and ordered the green tea cake. I had no idea it was actually ice cream frosting on and in the cake and it melted. A few hours later I opened the box to give it a try and the cake was floating around in milky green stuff. I figured I didn't want to ruin the experience and tossed it, but will give it a try the next time I'm in Dallas. It's now four hours after eating the first half of my pad thai and I just polished off the rest. Ah... good stuff! And both the pad thai and cake were under $20. For basically two delicious meals and dessert, that works for me. read more

I am between a 4 and a 5. The Mint was recommended by a coworker, so we arrived early with a party of eight for lunch. Everyone ordered something different. I went with the Yellow Curry with Chicken. WOW! What flavor and taste my meal had. Some of the best Yellow Curry in town. The ingredients were fresh and the curry was right in target. It's a small location and by Noon it was packed. I love the inside color scheme of this place. It makes me feel like I am in Miami. The blue and white colors have such an oceanic aura. The Mint has a pretty good drink menu. I love a glass of wine with Thai food, so I ordered a glass of Malbec that was excellent. My girlfriends also ordered wine which they all enjoyed. For an appetizer, we went with the Spicy Tuna Crisps (tuna tartar, seaweed salad, cucumbers, topped with mango - sitting on wonton crisps). Each bite had a bit of spiciness, sweetness, and zest. Then, I ordered the Pad Kee Mow with Tofu. I've probably had this meal from at least 10 Thai restaurants in Dallas, and this dish was a 4 out of 5. Everytime I drive by this area, I always tell myself I want to try this restaurant. After reading a couple good reviews on Yelp, I finally went for dinner! The decor is a little unusually trendy for an Asian place, but I actually liked it! Like everyone has said, it has a blue/turquoise/teal-colored theme with colored canvas hung around a few of the walls and hanging lights in different shades of the color scheme. Started off with the spicy tuna crisps - AMAZING. I love spicy tuna as it is, but to combine it with seaweed salad and spicy mayo on top of a wonton crisp was the perfect combination. Granted it is a bit difficult to eat, but it's so good. If anything, I'll come back just for this appetizer! My boyfriend and I split the Kua Kai and Stir-Fried Asian Vegetables with Tofu - we cleaned both plates even though it seemed like a lot of food. The super wide Kua Kai noodles reminded us of the delicious rice noodle rolls filled with shrimp that you get in dimsum, which we love. The Stir-Fried Asian Vegetables had a good variety, from baby corn & broccoli to thin strips of bamboo & baby bok choy. One thing that I particularly liked about the dishes was that neither of them felt overly greasy or heavy but still had flavor - which I feel is the case at most Asian restaurants. this is a fun spot to go to for dinner and drinks. They have some fun looking drinks for sure. My favorite thing here is the drunken noodles though. Another favorite would be the basil fried rice. I would have to say this spot is a little more on the fusion side for thai food, but still one of the top 3 of drunken noodles I have had. one time i wanted a dish with just a bunch of vegetables and i asked for extra tofu and no rice. the waiter was kind enough to alter this dish for me and not charge me for the extra tofu. it was just delicious! Came by for Bosses Day and got here early. Good thing too, because within 15 minutes the place was jam-packed! I ventured out of my comfort zone and ordered the Pad Thai with chicken (instead of my usual kad kee mow). I asked if came spicy and the server said no but said they could make it spicy. I asked for "medium" but it was delivered without any heat whatsoever. No worries though - it was still good and the server brought us a bowl of wonton strips on the side. Started off with the Mint Platter which had 4 delicious chicken satays, 4 pieces of spring rolls, 4 steamed dumpling and 4 pieces of eggrolls. The satays were the highlight. The spring rolls has a sliver of chicken in it and I would place it a little on the lacking meat side to put it mildly and the eggrolls are eggrolls. Then I got the crab fried rice with fried softshell crab and that was on point. So dang good and packed with flavor! The basil chicken and shrimp dish was pretty good too. For appetizer we ordered the fried prawns (absolutely delicious, filled with cream cheese) spicy tuna wontons (amazing!) As our meal, we ordered the Phad Thai (It was decent, I've tasted better) crab fried rice (def a must!) and the Tom yum soup (decent) I was pretty impressed with the food. Went during lunch and got seated quickly. I was in the area and super hungry, so I decided to finally try this place out after some hesitancy. From the name, it seemed more Americanized. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and it was good, but not extraordinary. The dishes here are about 3-4 dollars more than some of the more casual and more authentic sounding Thai places around town. I ordered my Pad Kee Mao with high spice, the 2nd highest level and it wasn't spicy at all. It could be because this restaurant is in Highland Park and there weren't any Asian patrons. The Pad Kee Mao was more soupy than I'm used to and a little on the saltier side. The flavor was there and the beef was tender though. The portion seemed a little small for the price compared to other Thai places around town. The restaurant is small, but clean. Parking might be difficult during lunch hours. Service was average, as it was pretty busy. Overall, maybe I'd probably only come here if I'm looking for convenience and craving Thai food in the area. The price of the items here knocked down my rating at least a star. read more

Honestly the best Thai I've had in Dallas so far. I love their fried rice and orange chicken. Whenever I go in there to pick up to go orders, it always smells amazing and is packed with people. I've only dined in once and while the food was great as always, it's super cramped in there - they seem to be trying to fit in as many tables as possible into a small place so you definitely get super cozy with the table next to you! Other than that great portions, fried rice is definitely enough to share or have leftovers the next day. They've never let me down! Definitely recommend giving it a try. read more
