Great food, service, and ambience! Authentic, but modern Thai restaurant located in a strip mall in the Turtle Creek Area. I ordered the red curry chicken, but substituted the bell peppers for mushrooms and carrots. I was hesitant to get the curry because Yelp reviews from a year ago said it was watery and bland, but recent reviews said the taste had improved. Much to my surprise, the curry was really good and the portion size was generous! The spice level was just right too. My friend got the pad woon sen, steamed vegetable dumplings, and butterfly pea flower limeade. She loved all of them! I've been to the majority of Thai restaurants in the Dallas area and this was comparable to the rest. Yummmmmmm! I'm visiting from Cali and hadn't had much luck finding good vegan thai food so far since I've been in Dallas. This place is SO GOOD!! The quality is above any Thai food I've ever had. So fresh. I'm also super pleased with the portions. I went HAM and ordered 2 entree and 2 sides for just little old me and all of it was so good. The crispy dumplings were really good. Egg rolls tastes like egg rolls, pretty hard to mess that up and the sauce that comes with them is super good. The massaman curry is so fire! I ordered the tofu and it's great. My only complaint is there's only 2 carrots in the whole dish. Next time I'm going to order just veggies cus I don't want to eat just tofu, but it's still delicious. I also got the pad Thai and that is bomb too. Did veggies and tofu for that one and it has plenty of veggies and great flavor so I'm stoked. I also wanted to try the orange chicken sauce, just to go a little wild, and it was actually nasty. Tastes like straight up fish. So I don't recommend that sauce for vegans. SO i actually reviewed the wrong location the first go-around and am updating my review because THIS location (which I hear is the original) is so good, fast service, everything came out hot and tasty and perfectly flavored. Great interior decor as well! Just an overall better experience than the other location I had been to. This time when I went I ordered the red curry which was PERFECT in taste and spice. The appetizers we got were the fried egg rolls, dumplings, and the shrimp spring rolls and they were all amazing. The dumplings were my favorite crispy dumplings that I've had in a while and the peanut sauce (it is hard to find a great peanut sauce) was sooo good. Perfect consistency and taste. My coworker got the woonsen! I loved it. I will leave my original photos from the central & 35 location. I ordered the Pad sew ew and enjoyed my dish. My boyfriend however got the orange chicken and fried rice... the fried rice was good but the orange chicken had a watery sauce and the chicken was dry. Dessert was a disaster I order the green tea ice cream with sweet sticky rice. The ice cream tasted horrible. I'm not sure what type of tea leaf they used but it was chalky and tasteless. All the locations are amazing. The menu and quality is the same (amazing) no matter which one you go to. The pad Thai is good, I really like the green curry too, and you can add extra veggies or pineapple or whatever you like. Definitely get a Thai tea too. The crispy spring rolls are good and the cold shrimp spring rolls also looked amazing at the next table over. This is not a quick service place, it's a nice sit down. Most locations are small too, this one included. So there can be a wait. read more

Based on the glorious reviews of this place I wanted to give it a try. It is a very small store front and easily missed. The decor inside is beautiful and just my taste. Shades of blues and greens with elegant lighting set a nice mood. We arrived around 6:20 and it was fairly open but about 20 minutes later the place was packed. Keep in mind it's a small space though. I ordered the combo pad Thai and the spicy tuna wonton appetizer. The appetizer was delicious with seaweed and the crunch of the wonton was a perfect compliment to the flavorful tuna. The pad Thai did not wow me though. We had a slight issue with my guests meal but it was quickly handled and taken off our ticket for the trouble. I also became pretty sick about an hour after leaving and didn't eat anything else that could have caused it. Overall I would try Mint again but Bangkok City is by far the best I've had in Dallas area. read more

A lovely thai lunch, supposedly cooking recipes once directed by the thai co-owner. It does seem so. The green lunch curry was well beyond the typical tinned sauces of 90% of the just-dial-it-in generic thai that is but little better than american 'chinese' food (brown garlic goopy sauces drowning one thing or another). This one was good. And a notably better quality of tofu in the curry, far from the stacked lego blocks of Firm and Extra Firm tofu that plague every supermarket. Better those for mattresses than mouths. The tom-yung soup was actually a bit delicate. Flavor, not just empty heat. Certainly Worth a local look, nested in a short strip mall. read more

We order this from grubhub at work a lot, and it's by far my favorite thai in dallas. "Thai fusion", if you will. It's always delicious, no matter what I order. They are also attentive to your special requests on grubhub, which deserves major props, as so many places don't. I've only tried this location, so I can't attest for the others. This is the closest to my work. All in all, YUM. I would recommend the crispy pad thai- it's been the crowd favorite among everyone at the office, and you don't usually see it on traditional thai menus. read more

I ordered takeaway via Grub Hub in which they describe 6 fresh summer rolls for $6 to include chicken or an upgrade to shrimp for $1. Mine arrived without any meat and only 3 rolls cut in half. I will upload photos. On the other hand the Pas Thai was delicious. The Pad See Iew was greasy but delicious. Orange chicken was average. The Lo Mein had wonderful flavor. When I want Asian, and feel like a nice meal, this is where I return to. Contemporary décor, with a comfortable and intimate appeal. The staff are well trained, and I have always had great service and quality food. Menu has a great variety, with an array of appetizers and soups, tasty Pad Thai, noodle, and stir fry options. To start, spicy Tom Yum Soup, Steamed Dumplings or Chicken Satay with peanut dipping sauce are all great choices. I discovered Pad Thai Woon Sen here, with clear low carb noodles, and have never turned back to the heavier standard. Tonight I had one of my favorite dishes, the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wrap (Larb Kai), which is perfect for a lighter dinner. I like that unique dish, but all the other dishes are pretty much your staple Thai restaurant dishes. Good quality and ambience, the restaurant is small so I'm always worried it's going to be crowded but I have never had to wait in a line. A tad overpriced but expected for this location. The ginger soy sauce perfectly complemented the fish and the butterfly pea limeade was the perfect blend of sweetness and tartness. I've always loved the Asian Mint restaurants. This one in Highland Park has always been my favorite because it's so cozy and small (didn't it used to be blue, though? I swear it was blue...). Last night I had the red snapper, which is a departure from my usual safe basil fried rice choice. My companion had the Kua Kai noodle dish. Both were good, but my fish was a bit too sweet and the breading so thick that between the sauce and breading I really couldn't taste the fish. I wouldn't order it again. His noodles were a savory dish, totally opposite in flavor to mine, and in my opinion far superior. But his dish was quite oily. I feel as though the quality may have slipped a bit over the years, as tends to happen when restaurants add extra locations or increase in size. The highlight of the evening was the calamari appetizer, which had a very sweet sauce similar to my fish dish. The calamari was more of a sliced calamari steak style, as opposed to the smaller ringlets and tentacles, and they were breaded and fried perfectly. It was a generous size for sharing with a large party. Overall, a good meal. read more

One of my new favorite spots to grab food! Don't let the exterior fool you. This place is quite deceptive. We came here the other night for dinner and were extremely pleased. The food was simply incredible. I have to give them extra points for their large choices in vegetarian dishes too. The curries and noodle dishes were top knotch. Although, my favorite by far was there version of chicken lettuce wraps. The wraps are incredibly delicious. You will adore them. Pretty healthy, but it just doesn't taste that way! The only downside to this place was the convenience. There aren't a lot of major attractions nearby, so I would only come here for food. It isn't much of an area to go for an after dinner stroll. Parking is a bit difficult since the street is one way and there is always a large crowd. However, there is a larger lot in the back. It may be worth your while to park there and move around to the front soon. All in all, great spot. I highly recommend Mint and cannot wait to come here soon. read more

First, I ordered ginger chicken, and I asked for brown rice. I got white rice. My coworker ordered the cashew chicken, and she asked if the dish could be mild. The waitress said that would be no problem. Unfortunately, my coworker's cashew chicken was spicy ("it was like they put a lot of tabasco sauce in the dish"). She told me that if it weren't for the spiciness, the dish would've been great. I felt pretty bad for choosing this restaurant for lunch. Nonetheless, I thought the dish was very well presented. I enjoyed my lunch. But, the service just wasn't up to par. I prefer Thai Opal and Malai Kitchen. I'll try this restaurant again, but I wouldn't take a respected peer out here. read more

This has been our pandemic go-to takeout spot. Over the last 8ish months we have had only great experiences with ordering takeout from here. They are truly masterful in their takeout process! Our order is always ready in 10 mins or less, our food has always been hot, the quality has been amazingly consistent, and they have never once messed up our order. We have continued to explore the menu and try new things and we have rarely come even close to disappointed with any of the dishes or appetizers. We do have some favorites though that I would *highly* recommend: * Yellow Curry - I get it with tofu and vegetables and it is by far the best curry I've ever eaten. It is just a tad spicy (disclaimer: I'm a total spice whimp) but the FLAVOR and combination of vegetables is just to die for. * Pad See Ew - slightly sweet, noodles are perfectly cooked and it is definitely two (or maybe even 3) meals worth. * Pad Woon Sen - lots of veggies, low carb noodles and a lighter sauce - one of our favs, * Shrimp Summer Rolls - THE BEST summer rolls ever with the ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR peanut sauce (I feel dramatic, but guys it is so good) We are so happy to continue to support this place and are extremely impressed with how wonderfully they have handled all the COVID restrictions and continued to thrive. Firstly, I love how they've done the interior decor- it's very inviting. The restaurant is small but it gives it a cozy feel and service is fast so they definitely maintain over crowding. This was actually my third time coming here! The last two times I ordered the Pad See Iew with Tofu which I throughly enjoyed. This time however, I wanted more vegetables in my dish and wanted to try something new so I went with the Lo Mein (w/ Tofu) I requested it to be medium spicy (which I'll modify the next time I visit because to me it wasn't spicy enough). Besides that, the dish was definitely flavorful! This tiny little location has stolen my heart! Before the words "Asian Fusion" could be heard, I was already there parking my car. Such a clean and impressive design for such a small room. Very friendly and helpful staff made sure we tried all the right dishes.
