First disappointment at this restaurant, we walked in and headed to empty table like we always do, some loud brass women starting yelling " excuse me " over and over. I finally turned around when the braying didn't stop. The obnoxious woman wanted us to put our name on a list. Never did this in the past . Instead i decided to go to another establishment that did have this obscene women. Too bad company hired bad behavior and rudeness. I will have to ignore as a choice in the future. I've been here a very few times over the years. I was craving Chinese food for dinner tonight and didn't want Panda Express across the street. I ordered to go.... For hubby I ordered General Taos chicken and for myself Mongolian beef (EXTRA SPICY). Hubby enjoyed his chicken however my extra spicy Mongolian beef was so weak in heat. Now I remember why I hardly ever come here. I was so disappointed with my meal I decided to open my freezer and got the Orange chicken I bought from Costco last weekend instead. Next time I'm in the area and craving Chinese food I'll go across the street especially at almost $30 for two entrées with little rice. I have given this place a few more tries since last reviewing it and it is better than I first thought. Atleast, some things are. I recommend the pad thai and the bbq pork fried rice. Those two dishes are really good. It's pretty good for occasional Asian take out. read more

What a pleasant surprised! Stoped here after some shopping in Marana and didn't expect much. It's nothing fancy, but good comfort food that hits the spot. We had the hot and sour soup which was very hearty and delicious. The Singapore noodles were some of the best we've had in town. Very delicious!!! It's a favorite place! I always get the lunch special and it's truly the best thing ever! I usually get Mongolian shrimp or chicken and it's piping hot and had the wok flavor that you can't recreate at home. It's soooo good! And the hot and sour soup! Wow! I it's like catnip for a cat. I can't stop slurping it up with tiny little mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Just enough heat. So good you wouldn't care if you ate anything else! The food comes out fast and the crab puffs are so steaming and good too! Truly it's a wonderful special place. The chefs are always working so hard and you hear the woks moving and the sound of the bustle of your food cooking'. It's truly wonderful there. For such a small place, somehow you always can get a seat, even if it's a short wait. The staff are fantastic as well. Very on the ball and perfect! You can't go wrong eating there. Mixed results here on our only visit. We had been traveling all day and ordered takeout. Staff was friendly and fast. Portion sizes are one the absurdly large size. The Chinese food options in Marana are pretty slim to none, but Asian Spice is consistently good. We always order the kung pao and chow fun dishes (doesn't matter what protein you add, it's all good!). I am certain that any of their other offerings are delicious. Their food is the closest I can get to authentic and hope they stick around. My family and I usually order take-out because their dining room is small, maybe 6 tables available for dining in; plus the restaurant itself is small. It's neat that you can see all your food be made, but it's just a bit too cramped for me. My only two gripes are that the stir fried eggplant is not always available, it's likely NOT Asian Spice's problem; and the egg roll filling is too mushy - the vegetables are boiled too long. read more

I used to live off Ina & Cortaro. When my hairdresser told me about Asian Spice and how good it is I had to go. I LOVE Asian Spice. For me they have the best H&S soup in Tucson/OroValley. The best Chinese food on the NW side of town. I dined in tonight for the first time. There are only about 5 booths and 2 tables so seating is very limited. They bring the food out so fast that the tables turn quickly. Our server seemed like a high schooler but he was friendly and did a great job. We had the dinner special with cashew shrimp, fried rice, an egg roll and egg flower soup. And the chicken pad Thai. There were 2 of us but we had enough food for 4-5 people just ordering these 2 meals. Everything was delicious. The pad Thai is better than most Thai restaurants I've been to. read more

Absolutely loooooove Asian Spice. The food is so good, the servings are huge, and the service is fast, friendly, and efficient. We typically do take out, but you can dine in. I think there are about 5 tables--it's a small space but you can see the cooks doing their work, which is cool. We typically do the dinner special, which is either $14 or $15 depending on your entree choice. All specials include soup, egg roll or crab puffs, and your choice of white or fried rice. It always lasts me two meals. I especially like the sesame chicken or the Mongolian beef and my husband likes the sweet and sour chicken. You really can't go wrong! Asian Spice offers $9 and $10 lunch specials seven days a week with huge portions and really tasty food. I had the lemon chicken lunch special with egg flower soup, fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken was nicely breaded and the perfect combination of crispy and tender. The lemon sauce was light and flavorful. There was enough for two meals and everything else was really tasty. Service was fast, and while this is a small dining room we had no problem getting a table and the space was spotless and welcoming. Great dining experience. read more

The oil in the fryer needed to be changed. most of the ingredients taste it like they've been sitting in the bottom of the refrigerator for too long. The pad Thai and the Szechuan tofu we're totally unauthentic. I'm not even sure what cuisine it was supposed to be. The place is incredibly smoky. they should buy an exhaust fan. when you leave you have to go home and take a shower wash your hair and wash your clothes cuz everything stinks. on the positive side the service was pretty good. there's too many great Chinese restaurants in Tucson to waste your money here. read more

I was pleasantly surprised we were able to get a table right away and what perfect timing because the dinner rush came in immediately after. It is a very small space so you'll likely be waiting outside. The staff was really friendly and seemed to be taking phone orders efficiently while still being able to attend to customers. We received our food fairly quickly. We ordered entrees that were family style. As a family of 3, it was enough but order more if you have a larger party. Szechuan beef was loaded with veggies and the strips of beef were very tender and plentiful.
