BOMB BINGSU HAS ARRIVED IN VC! What's Bingsu?!?! Vanna, this playah needz to buy a vowel!! ;) Well, it's a dessert that originated in Korea, that is readily available in many areas of Southern California but not in Ventura County, until Asiatique arrived on the Ventura Main St. scene! Gotta give it to them, setting up shop during the height of a COVID-19 spike must've been a challenge but they're still here! So let's check dem goodz out, shall we? Parking for Ventura Main St. eateries are now in free public parking zones or street parking meters since Main St. has been blocked off to car traffic. It's an easy walk for lunch from the Parking Structure to here. And no wait either! Oh yeah! Dee welcomed us, Oscar took care of us. The menu looks like this is not one type of Asian food here. Japanese, Thai, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines are all represented here with a lil bit fusion goin' on, Sounds cool! Ordered a few items, sooo... let's chow down! FRIED TOFU: Just the way I like this dish prepared! No breading or batter covering here. Firm tofu drained of all its liquid and deep fried. Crisp outside shell and soft & mushy inside. Throw in some sweet chili sauce and BOOM! This had no chance. lol CRISPY BASIL WINGS: This was Thai style chicken wings. We were intrigued on what that meant so we decided see what the fuss was all about! A light batter coats the wings that is quite crispy. Not greasy at all. Meat inside is ample and moist. Then they coat it with this Thai chili garlic basil sauce. Oh so good! SPAGHETTI PAD KIEW WAN: OH BOY! This has got some heat! Be prepared! At "one" chili level I thought this would be easy pickings for me, and shareable, lol but I was wrong. Too hot for the rest of the fams, this went solely to me. I prefer some heat with my meal and this had it GOOD! Sautéed in a "famous" spicy Thai green curry paste, it had a really delightful flavor to it. All the veggies were still perfectly crisp and the chicken we added was moist and tender. Plentiful amount of spaghetti noodles prepared just right as well. Yummy stuff! Shoulda ordered a second one to take away! They do offer to adjust the heat here, 1 Chili level has a good heat level, 2 chili level must be insane, there is a level below 1 Chili too. TONKOTSU RAMEN: Big Boy enjoyed this dish. This is actually more of a fusion dish and not the traditional Japanese Tonkotsu. It's a combo of Thai Tom Kha and Japanese Tonkotsu broths having a synergistic effect here. So more creamy texture but not spicy, yet still having a good sense of the bone broth with every slurp. Ramen noodles are spot on. The pork chashu pieces are marinated, thick and flavorful, with a nice balance of fat to meat. The marinated medium boiled eggs are prepared just right. Add a little fiber to the dish with bok choy and bamboo shoots and this makes a tasty variant that is worth sampling! MANGO BINGSU: ABSOLUTELY DELISH! BIG dish of fluffy mango flavored shaved ice, plentiful chunks of ripe mango border the entire big bowl. Topped with a mango syrup and whipped cream. YUMMMMM! Throw in this mango infused condensed milk they have on the side.. SWEET CHRISTMAS! This is BOMB!!! There is also mango boba you top it with too. Big Boy preferred this... to each his own I guess. lol VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! This place is definitely worth a return visit! Lots of menu items to explore and that BINGSU?!? I've been wanting to check out this spot for a while! My mom and I both got the ramen, I had tonkotsu and she had miso. Both were pretty good! The marinated/seasoned egg was a bit much (a little too salty) but maybe that was just a one off thing. All of their ramen has coconut milk in it so it's reminiscent of the mama-style ramen from Kao. Overall I enjoyed it but Kao Ramen still takes the cake. Though I'll definitely be back to try some of their other dishes! read more

I really like the concept of this place. If I'm downtown and don't want to drive all the way to the Collection to get pho/bulgogi/boba/chow mein.... this is totally the spot I would stop by! Omg their bing su (shaved ice) was soooo good. I got the strawberry and it really hit the spot. The shaved ice is milk flavored which was perfect and the texture was so silky. Today my husband and I ate ramen- the noodles had a nice chewiness and thickness to it. My husband said he wished the chashu was a little less overcooked. I wouldn't mind coming back to try the rest of their menu when those cravings hit! Their staff is super sweet and friendly. I really hope this place does well. My biggest no-no is that the Miso Ramen had coconut milk and it was not listed as an ingredient. Ruined my meal. The eggs were hard-boiled. The calamari was beer battered. Even the green tea was tasteless. The photos were so good too. read more

Definitely a great place to eat! Me and my wife went to eat and I ordered the Crispy Calamari, Veggie Ramen. The crispy calamari were the best calamari I've had in the area. Definitely bigger than what I am used to. If you order, you can safely share with others and still get your fill! The tofu in the veggie Ramen was great! I will definitely be back! read more

Wow! Just walked by this place and decided to have a happy hour drink. We ended up staying 2 hours and ordering appetizers from their HH menu! It's worth taking the drive from Santa Barbara to Ventura for this shaved ice! My friends and I got the mango and thai tea. Super tasty and hit the spot! The boba that came with the thai tea seemed more like a jelly than boba, but had a good brown sugar flavor. The thai tea ice itself had a strong flavor. I liked the mango ice the best, the mangoes were very sweet and it came with warm sticky rice! I think the ice cream was coconut flavored. The only thing I disliked was that the ice at the bottom of the bowls was harder than the rest, not sure why it was like that. Overall would come back though! read more

For just being open, this place had great service and great food. I love the options they have. I had to try the Drunkin Noodles because that's the first thing I get at Thai places. Definitely the best one I've had on main st for sure! There's a lot of Thai competition but if this place stays consistent, which is a problem I have encountered at other places on main st., I know this place will do well! I will be returning! Loved it. Just found this place couple days ago, tried the mango shave ice, so so so good! It's like snow, so smooth, with authentic flavor and lots of delicious fresh mango. Every time I go to Asiatique Eatery it has been specifically to get the Bingsu (shaved ice) for dessert. And let me tell you, it is some top tier shaved ice - they really don't miss with this one! My favorite so far is the Thai Tea Bingsu - the strawberry flavor was delicious too. I really like how light, fluffy and flavorful this desert is, and I think it's a nice touch that they serve it with some sides like condensed milk, boba, corn flakes, and fresh fruit to add even more texture and flavor to the dish. Super great service! So friendly and nice. I had the fried tofu which was crispy outside and soft inside in the best way. Almost fluffy. To go with that I had a salad with the best ginger dressing. So tasty I ended up dipping the tofu in it too! My daughter has the Thai fried rice with chicken and loved it. The rice was done perfectly and the chicken flavorful. I'm sensitive to salt and it was very good and I did fine with everything. Easy to eta here as a vegan or a flexitarian. The mango sticky rice was the best ever! I could see most everyone ordering the milk shaved ice desserts and it's no surprise. Everyone that ordered it seemed to enjoy it. I loved that the sticky rice and the condensed milk to make it sweet were separate. As was the coconut ice cream. Perfect for sharing. It was light and flavorful and didn't leave us feeling heavy or overly sweet induced tummy ache. We will be back for sure. Highly recommended. My friends and I came in tonight for a nice dinner because we love the food and I wanted to show our friends the food here. The service is typically very good until tonight. I don't know the name of the girl but she gave us the worst service as soon as we sat down . One of us asked a question about the menu to better help order what she would like but she gave her no input and seemed like she'd much rather her order instead of asking questions. In result, she didn't like what she got and we politely asked to replace it. As we saw the food runner tell the server, she was noticeably irritated, nodding her head and waving her hands. She passed by our table several times, mugging us and ignoring us at all costs. The food runner, Marcus basically took care of us all night long and was attentive and kind all the while he was not our server. She never once checked up on us, especially after disliking the first dish. All of us work in the restaurant industry as servers so we know what it is like and we know how to treat our servers. Marcus should definitely be moved up as a server because he is actually kind and attentive, qualities a real server should have. Finally, when we asked to speak to the owner to compliment Marcus and make a note on our servers neglect, they were apparently too busy. We really like the food here and would like to give it another shot, I just really wish this didn't have to happen. I'm only writing this review so the owners take better precautions when it comes to quality of service! read more

Everything on their menu looked good. We ordered chicken teriyaki bowl and orange chicken. Each one easily feeds 3 people. Mango Passion Black tea was really good too. The boba pearls were the perfect texture. Note to self: ask for rice separately. This is just personal preference because the sauce was a tad too sweet for me. It would've helped if the ride didn't get mixed in with the sauce. Service was excellent. Location is downtown so park accordingly. read more

Honestly... sorta bummed Went here for an early dinner The picture of the curry on the menu looked better than my girlfriend. But ... no flavor... at least my girlfriend has flavor. I came here for lunch and was pretty excited as the menu has a lot of options (with pictures) and everything looks really good. I got the passion mango tea with boba and the boba was hard/crunchy. I let our server know and she brought me a new drink but it had the same inedible boba. I didn't wanna waste my time and send it back again so I just drank the tea and left the boba. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and it came with a miso soup. The soup was so salty I couldn't even eat it. My boyfriend got the pad Thai and said it was also salty and had way too much sauce. Overall very disappointed, we ended up leaving hungry still. read more

I was in downtown Ventura and tried this place. Friendly attentive servers. Ambiance is quiet and clean. Food is somewhat average. The Singaporean noodles was a little salty and oily. Been here a good amount of times now amd have never been let down! We have tried more than half of their appetizers and all were great! Their ramen and noodle dishes were delicious as well. Today they had crispy pork belly which they only offer every now and then, if they do offer it give it a try! It's my favorite dish there! As for desserts you can not go wrong with anything! Ventura is fortunate to have at least half a dozen Thai/Asian restaurants. We were visiting and it was really hard to choose which to order from. We liked several things on the Asiatique menu. We ordered the Singaporean noodles because they seemed popular and Spicy Korean Bulgogi because we hadn't tried it before. We ordered delivery on Saturday evening and it arrived within 35 min. Everything looked great and portions were generous. Both dishes were fresh, excellent and very flavorful. Only small thing was the egg on top was well done since it steamed during delivery. The food was soooo good! their Thai iced tea was well balanced. The Singapore noodles at a level 3 spicy was my favorite item that we ordered. Such good flavor! The crispy chicken wings in both flavors were bomb.com. Amazingly crispy even though the Korean flavored one had a thick delicious sauce on it-- still crispy delicious! Tip: order these wings to dine in not to-go if you want to experience their crispiness in full effect. We also tried the Pad Se Ew with beef, the yellow curry and the Pad Thai. First time trying this place and it was what I expected, amazing! I got the Tom Yum Ramen and I was nervous cause I'm not really a coconut person but wanted to try something different and it did not disappoint! The coconut was very subtle but the broth had so much flavor! My mom got the Katsudon with pork and that was also very good. They have the best Pho!! (Ribeye is much better than the chicken in my opinion) I live close to downtown and this has been a repeat on the roster ever since they've opened. Seems to be always consistent with deliciousness (even for takeout) They also have the best wings I think I've had in my life. Try them at least once! Trust.
