    Korean Pickles
    Mike C.

So it has come to my attention that I may be an adrenaline junkie. Always looking for new experiences to break through the monotony of life and light me up with passion and excitement. Low and behold this Asian supermarket really lit me up and I cannot wait to go back to try more of there foods and explore more of what I can soak up of the Asian culture. One of the first things that really grabbed my attention after looking through all sorts of fruits that I was not familiar with was Korean Pickled Cucumbers. At $35 a jar I did not pull the trigger and get to try them but one of the first things I did when I got home was to ask Alexa, what in God's green earth is a Korean Pickle? Alexa to my surprise said they were better than Western culture pickles!! Ask her for yourself! I ain't lying :-) In addition to the staples in all food markets, like a fish section and a meat section, they have a food court. The food court enticed me as I saw a family eating from a big pot scooping out portions of soup for each other. I will absolutely come back here this week to try their soup and update my review once consumed. They also sell cook ware such as : ramen bowls, sake containers, among many more items. Highly recommend you check them out if your looking for a change from your usual food shopping runs. As always people SYOY!!!!

First time here today to meet my Korean-American friend. It's a giant Asian grocery store with a special focus on Korean stuff. It can feel a bit overwhelming if it's your first time. I've been to H-Mart in various cities in the past, but it's my first time in such a big Korean grocery store. I was in a bit rush, so I didn't buy any grocery, but I did eat lunch at the food court. I had beef ramen and a coke--price is fair and the ramen tastes okay, a bit bland.

Instant ddukbokee , easy to make And soondae

I always try to seek out an international market where ever I am. Assi Plaza takes things to the next level with their selection. Regardless of which type of cuisine you're interested in....they probably have it. The majority of their space is dedicated to Asian food, but in my opinion, that's necessary for such a vast and exciting cuisine. The produce is the cheapest around. They always have great deals on seafood. And their sliced short ribs are the best I have ever seen in Bucks County.

Everything exactly like te supermarket in Korea apart from the price! Best homemade style kimchi in town, also a good place to buy seafood! I always look their catalog before I go in! Sale items could get up to 40-50% off!

The seafood ramen advertisement looks awesome, but check out my next picture....

This is a very interesting store and I recommend trying the food court sometime for lunch but don't get the ramen. It was actually very good but I paid $9 bucks for a bowl of seafood ramen with one shrimp, one mussel and two octopus tentacles. It was very different then the advertised picture as you can see in my photos. The sushi place is ok and I think if you order from the menu instead of just grabbing the prepared selections you will get better choices. I was looking around at what people were getting and some of the stuff looked great , definitely need to check out yelp for some recommendations.

The place is too old and no one really cleans it. The stuff there are not fresh. Be careful on the deli, Could get something that's expired.

Assi is decent at best. It's labeled as a "Korean Market" but in terms of actual authentic Korean food it falls short compared to H-mart.

It's year 2022 I'm just shocked that this behavior is still going on. I had just got off a 12 hour shift from my Postal job and was wearing my uniform. Redners is not my usual grocery store, but I pass it on the way home from work. When you walk in your hit with a loud blast of constant country music. There were white female employees, none acknowledged me, just gave me crazy stares. It kind of gave me a 1950's Jim Crow vibe. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe in this store. When I got home I told my son about my scary experience, My son preceded to tell me about an incident he experienced when checking out at this Redners in the self checkout register. A female walked over and opened his bags, peeked inside and walked away without saying anything. My son was in shocked that someone would do that. She never provided my son an explanation or apology. My son advised me that incident left him disturbed and he never went back to this store. He didn't want to upset me so he never told me until now. This behavior racially profiling black customers without any explanation is disgusting and disturbing. I advise anyone black or brown especially a female to not shop at Redners. If you do go you may want to make sure you have someone with you. I was really scared shopping alone at night with 3 white males following me. Update Called the corporate office and they said nothing. Told me sorry it happened and that was it. So they will never get my business

I couldn't find these ingredients on my local grocery store ordering websites, so I reached out to my Hindu friend. He told me Patel food market in Montgomeryville. I went there and found everything on my list and then some. A lot of great finds. My friend told me it used to be more disorganized, but there is new shelving. I don't know what the price should be for anything, but the produce section seemed very consistent with other places I shop. I was most surprised to see merrymead farm milk sold here, which just put a smile on my face. All of the staff wore masks and had plexiglass guards. The aisles were marked with tape to designate where to wait to check out safely. I bought a lot of stuff, but I'll definitely be back. Probably wouldn't be in my regular rotation, but worth a trip annually perhaps.

We picked up a couple frozen dinners which we ate one night. They were tasty but a little too spicy for me. I also like samosas so we got a box of them and a box of something else that looked like donuts. We also got some mango chutney which was pretty good. Our friend tried to get us to get spicy dips and chutney but I'm not a big spicy fan, but we picked up one anyway. Also got a bag of snacks which was interesting. The thing I was most excited about and liked the most was the guava and mango juice containers in the front. I'm always looking for this stuff for cocktail drinks and guava juice is kind of hard to find. Wegman's has small cans but I think this one was sweeter and tasted better. We used it to make a gin drink with lime and guava and it was very refreshing. I definitely want to come back to get more after our containers are gone. The expiration date was a year on them too, which Is good for me because I take forever to use things up.
