Let me start with an explanation of my interaction with Karlos/ this moving company. I run a non profit organization where we have hired Assisted Living Movers (ALM) to help our low income senior clients AND also hired ALM to help me move from my apartment in Pasadena to my home here in the San Fernando Valley. First, our senior clients have always thanked us for the referral to ALM and praised the service they have given :) Our clients are nearly always low income and a little needy or under specific time constraints. Somehow ALM always makes it happen!! :) Next, for the move for my aunt and myself we could not praise their service more. In addition to moving our belongings out of our old building, stairs / no elevator, they were super fast and got everything done all in one day because they allocated 3 staff to the job. The planning was excellent and when we were moving things into our home we even got interior design advice from Tamecha (I hope that I spelled that correctly). In short, we can't recommend this organization enough! For our clients and for my personal needs, ALM provides an excellent experience. read more

Do not use these movers. They scammed my 69 yr old mom who was moving my 98 year old grandmother. The movers were so slow what should have been a 3 hr move took 4 hrs because the movers were super slow. Also, it shouldn't have costed more than $500 and they charged $1150. We hired assisted living movers to move my elderly mom from Burbank to Pasadena. I didn't deal with the office staff directly but my mom did and she was very complimentary on their services. As far as the moving process the workers were efficient and accommodating. They ended up having to tear down and reassemble my moms bed. Of course they charged for that but the cost was comparable to task rabbit. We were grateful we didn't have to deal with it! The overall cost came out less than expected. Karlos and his team were, and continue to be , AMAZZZZING! My brother passed in late Oct and had recently moved into an assisted living home where he brought MANY of his things from his house. His death was sudden and I really needed help with moving his things out of the home in 3 days. I contacted Karlos and he and his assistant managed to pack things up and move them in the span of about 4 hours. 4 Hours! They were miracle workers and packed everything with care and respect AND they packed up donations that they also took for me so I didn't have to make more calls AND they've stored most of my brothers things in one of their storage units until I can get back there in the next couple of months (I live in northern Calif). The storage unit is very reasonably priced as well. The price for all the work they did was very, very fair and reasonable and Karlos honestly believes in treating people fairly. He has integrity which, in my opinion, is in short supply these days with many businesses. This is one stop shopping, folks, and if I could give them 20 stars I would! Karlos was extremely patient, kind and supportive throughout this difficult time. Literally, I could not have done it without them. Could. Not. Have. I don't leave a lot of reviews on Yelp which is something I intend to work on in the upcoming year. Many of the people I now work with I've found through Yelp so it's time I started giving back more often. Having said that, should you find yourself in the same position of either having to move your loved ones out of their homes or clear out their possessions from an assisted living residence, I hope this review can help you during what will probably be a challenging time. It's so hard for our parent(s), our older siblings, our loved ones to leave their homes, an entire house, and go into assisted living places no matter how nice that place may be. You'll want someone on your side who is actually trying to help you, to lessen the stress of these moves. Karlos is that guy, the one you can trust. This mover lost my things and never found them. Promised to come back and do minor things for me. It took them over 5 weeks to give me a donation receipt after I called them for it. They charged one price, and later wanted time and a half because it took them so long to move my things. They are the worst movers I ever used. They get 1 star, and even that is too good for them. I thought they were fairly priced given they had to comply with wearing full PPE and pack all of dad's belongings first as well. Highly recommend them! We used Assisted Living Movers to move my mother-in-law from her independent living apartment to an assisted living. We then had them move the stuff that wouldn't fit to a storage unit. They were efficient, respectful, careful with her things, professional, and when we went back to the storage unit, the things had been organized in a logical and easy to access manner. The only reason I gave them four instead of five stars is because they told me they were going to be there between 9 and 10am and they didn't arrive until close to 11:30am.
