I went in to the store to upgrade my phone. Initially, I was helped by Charlie. He gave me the impression I was wasting his time. Every question I had he only gave me 1-2 answers. New customer with AT&T Let's keep it short; DO NOT GO TO THIS CARRIER. We switched from Sprint/TMobile for a better service but ended up being f'd up. 1. Activation was not waved when in fact they said they will (all stores as per CS. Guess they want customers so bad they'd lie to your face dead on straight.) 2. Phone call cutting off when you're in line for more than 45mins (I like calling my husband when he's working and we'd be on the phone for hrs but AT&T said "Nope. Not today bitches.") 3. You only can use your line in Mexico and Canada - Sprint/Tmobile lets you use your data specifically worldwide. ‍ 4. Got a new phone and they did not fix my monthly bill that is supposedly $16/month (for phone only) 5. Went to this specific store to get our bill fixed; manager said he'd get it done within the day and up until now our bill is still the same. Poor management service. 6. Got the auto pay set up and they DID NOT. Only giving 1 star because (1) Yelp doesn't let me rate them with 0 star and (2) in fairness, their staffs are very nice. read more

Went in with my galaxy s7 edge that is having screen issues, device is under insurance so we wanted to know what to do next. The sales rep, then proceeded to give me a lecture about how dropping my phone caused this to happen over time and proceeded to restart it to show it somewhat work (which i knew already..). I stopped her lecture and asked what can we do next. Only to be shown a brochure that we could do everything online. I was then lectured one last time to be careful with my next device on my way out. I would say never go to this store for anything. This is second bad experience in 3 visits. We are with ATT for almost 6 or 7 years. My son lost his SIM and the phone also got damaged. My wife and Son went to get a replacement SIM with a makeshift phone. However, the rep and the manager was confusing them a lot, probably trying to sell an upgrade or data or a phone etc. I was at the office and they tried to confuse them and I got at least 10 calls from my wife asking this and that. However, finally I lost my patience when they started to say that the makeshift phone I was using is a Verizon phone and that the phone won't work etc. WE JUST WANTED A SIM. The manager was on the other end and he says hold on to me while he is talking. Who are you to tell me to hold on since you have been wasting 3 persons time for almost 30 minutes and I am the customer paying for your bills. Are you punishing us for losing a SIM? Time is important for us. May not be for you. So to cut the story short these people are going to have me move away from ATT with 3 lines the way they treated my family. Period. AT&T is the worst phone company ever ! I called AT&T And wanted to get a new phone line and they keep transferring me from Dept to Dept. They ran my credit 8 times!!! Wtf!!! Instead of save it or put it in their system that credit was ran they keep asking every time u are transferred. So u can only imagine the ding that's going to have on my credit. So after getting frustrated with the phone rep that I was talking to I said "screw it going to the at&t store!" No better I come to find out they are on completely different systems and they don't communicate with each other. The tech there are Retarded and only care about socializing. The absolute worst At&t I've ever been to. No wonder these low excuses for tech workers are here, they probably couldn't get hired elsewhere. They are horrible at their jobs. Just to ask a simple "yes or no" question about a bill payment will cost me over an hour wait time just to be dismissed in 3 mins. I simply wanted to ask a question regarding a bill payment I made literally just a few hours prior at their self payment kiosk (to say it was operated by a hamster and wheel will be generous seeing how slow their system was) only to come back to the store, forced to wait an hour just for a simple question, which was "can this bill payment be reversed so I can use it on a different card?", which was "NO". (That's fine, I just wanted my question answered) It doesn't take an hour to answer that, just a little effort in customer service. You don't need extensive training for that. IT GETS BETTER.. I even tried to ask a worker that wasn't doing anything while my over an hour wait, and he said "sorry, all your concerns will be handled but you're going to have to wait your turn". AND It gets better.. After I was given my denial, the person that helped me (which was very helpful and informative) said "you should've just asked somebody so you didn't have to wait so long.." ......Yea. Horrible Managment and God awful customer service. I hope this establishment goes under re-hire because it's being ran into TIMBUKTU they way these horrible excuses for employees and wack manager is running it. My mom passed away in may. We kept her phone on to answer medical calls for my grandma and great grandma. The girl who was helping us out, April, told us incorrect information the first time. Her manager came over amd told us we needed the death certificate. So we ran home and went back. April continued to help us and she switched the sim cards and said we had to do the software update (15 mins), transfer (mins = how much is on the phone), and setup (15 mins). this should've been completed in 1 hour. after an hour the software update hadn't even been completed nor did we get an end time or and estimated time. April had meantiond before she left that she had to go on her lunch break and the manager would come help us. After our hour he came over once because we requested him to. He also took his lunch and didn't inform us. Then a lovely lady camw over and told us none of this even had to be completed in the store. In conclusion we will not be going to this store again. Sure no problem I can apply it +You have a wife who has a different AT&T account? No problem I'll apply it to this account +You guys want to upgrade your phones? Sure, just come back w/ the old phone and I'll make sure you get the new phone for the plan price We bought 3 iPHONE 4s that day (2 of which were the 32 G/B models!!!) and opened up a family plan for 4 people... All the bullet points I made above were never fulfilled... I actually called back one day on behalf of my friend who opened up the account to ask for _________ to have him fix everything for us... here was the response: "Er... we don't have an _________ here...theres no _________ here." What the furgh? Did some spy pretend he was an AT&T sales rep and make fake business cards to the tune of _________ ? Hmm... I guessssss it's possible ?? O_O - We had to apply the discount ourselves by calling the corporate customer service number... - We had to pay fees associated w/ pro-rating the account to reflect the discount - We were told that our phone upgrade wouldn't work until October 2011 - My Wife had to cancel her own Policy and had to pay a transfer fee I called in and got most of these fees waived... but it was a WASTE of my time... we committed a lot of money to AT&T and to have been lied to is unacceptable. ALERT: DO NOT LET THEM CHARGE A $35 RESTOCKING FEE FOR RETURNING AN UNOPENED IPHONE WITHIN THE 14 DAY RETURN PERIOD. I recently purchased 5 x Iphone 5s Gold for the family and due to unforeseen circumstances I had to return them. I ordered it at the Lakewood ATT Store and they said as long as I don't open them, I could return them without any fees. It's also noted on ATT''s website that they don't charge a restocking fee for unopened Iphones. I arrived at 7:30 pm and was asked to wait for an associate. They were busy and I had to wait 30 minutes to talk to someone. The girl said that they had to charge me a restocking fee if I return the phones. I tell her that's not the case and it says so on their return policy. She asks me to wait another 15 minutes for the store Manager Alex to come talk to me. Alex comes out and tells me the same thing. They HAVE to charge me a $35 dollar fee. Argues with me that they can't get around that. I showed him on their website that it's not the case. He shook his head and told me no and he can't help me. I asked for his business card and his Manager Jerime's information. I went outside and called ATT's direct customer service and they told me the store is wrong and shouldn't have told me that. They asked me to put Alex on the phone so they can show him. I come in and hand the phone to Alex and the customer service rep talks to him. When he gets off the phone, he now says "oh, it can be done, he just needs his manager to over ride it." He calls his manager and spends another 15 minutes on the phone with him to try to figure it out. They take another 20 minutes or so before figuring out that they now can return the phones without charging me a restocking fee. Everything gets done and it's 9:30PM before I can leave out of there. ATT&T - PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER. DO NOT TELL A CUSTOMER YOU CAN'T HELP WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO CONDUCT BUSINESS UNDER YOUR OWN CORPORATE POLICY. A greeter got me in the queue and I was immediately met by Pia Ayala, who greeted my situation with a smile and a heart to help. No sales pressure - just pure class, great listening skills and top-notch service. She was really enjoyable to talk to and able to answer any questions I had. Angie and Christian are two people who do their best to make this AT&T store rate higher than 2 stars. I responded to their on-line survey and shared the experience I had with them and today Angie called me up to address the issue. She was very kind and sounded very sincere in her apologies as well as her resolve to fix this problem. She gave me 15 minutes of her time and helped me get my frustrations off my chest. She vowed to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future and I must say that I believe her. I still can't rate the store 3 stars or more until I make a return visit to see if improvements have indeed been made. Also, on a side note: Stephen/Steven is a security guard. Angie said they do not greet customers as their sole duty is to provide security. I mentioned to her that greeting people is simple courtesy and would go a long way in making customers feel welcome. There is an actual greeter and I guess she was on break when I went there the first time. So if you see a well dressed person by the door and they do not greet you, please do not be offended. Look for the greeter to do his/her job. They'll be holding the iPad to take down your information. Cerritos AT&T I hope you keep up your end of the bargain by correcting these two individuals and any others who think they can mistreat customers and not deal with repercussions. I'd give this location zero stars if I could. I came into return a phone I pre-ordered here. I was then told there was a $45 restocking fee. If I had know that before hand, I wouldn't have ordered or even opened the phone. The whole processes took OVER AN HOUR when it should have taken less than 10 minutes. Flashback - My old phone has served me well. My little black razr and its puzzling inability to receive text messages, its tendency to shut itself off at the most inoppurtune times, and its "massive" battery charge that lasts a day if I'm lucky. Fast forward to today - As I ran an errand across the street, I say to myself "I could use a new phone... Lets see what they got." I used to work in sales so I know how hard it is sometimes, however, these representatives really have no clue on how to conduct business sometimes. The few times I've been here the store reps are usually talking amongst each other. No "Hello," "Do you have any questions?" "Let me know if there's anything I can do for you." Come on, these should be basic phrases they should at least spit out if they want some form of sale. Show your customers you care..somewhat at least. Let me start off by saying we have had several customer service problems with AT&T - at the authorized retailers, corporate stores, and through all the several customer service people over the phone. Even after all of this, however, we decided to just try one more time at the corporate store to try to handle our billing issues in person. After visiting this store, we were, yet again, given misinformation and handled by a confused AT&T member who was very unknowledgeable. Despite our frustration, we were calm about informing him about how difficult it has been trying to fix our account. His response was unapologetic and he disappeared to the back to talk to his manager. When he came back out, he still had no answers and informed us we had to deal with the customer service number. From there, the least we asked him to do before we left is put a note in the system to indicate what we discussed during our visit so that EVERYONE (stores and over the phone) could see. He said he did and even made it *priority* so it would pop up at the top of the communication board. When we get home after another disappointing AT&T experience, we called the customer service number, where we then discover a huge mistake in the monthly bill. They admitted it was their fault, but this took hours to go over. (..did I mention we're patient people?) Then, just to doublecheck if the note was written from the AT&T store we had just visited, they said there was nothing to be found. To conclude, overall AT&T is horrible, but the particular "team member" from this store put the #cherryontop on a long list of complaints we have for this company. I've been a customer with this company and have been on the original unlimited data plan for 7 years since the iPhone 3G. My gripe has been about their decision to " throttle back" my data speed to a 56k crawl for nothing but for corporate greed and screwing even loyal customers, which I consider it nothing less than criminal!!
