I went to another AT&T store and waited for 45 minutes only to find out they didn't have the phone I wanted. When I went to the store, they credit me a mediately even though there was a line. They asked me what I was here for and verified they had in stock what I wanted. Call from there it only got better. I don't remember the name of the guy that I work with at first to get the new phone set up, but he was so easy to work with. I had to go back two Days later to get help transferring data from one of the phones. Art helped us and he was wonderful to work with. He help solve all of our problems. read more

Great service! Apple destroyed my SIM card. They replaced it free. Fast. Prompt. Manager Kyle took care of me.

I was promised a promotion of 50% off my service for 6 months. I was told it would take a few billing cycles to go into effect. It never did. When I went into the store and asked why, I was told I don't meet the criteria for the deal. I was sold a service at a price that I did not end up receiving. The employee who made these false claims was there, and when confronted with why he promised me a deal that I could not receive, he just grunted. The manager offered me $20 as a sorry, and then very enthusiastically said he'd love to help me switch service providers, and if I leave at&t he'd gladly waive my $50 fee. So they'd love to pay me more to leave their carrier than to stay. Shady sales tactics, poorly trained sales-people, and horrendous customer service. Come at your own risk. read more

Is AT&T an elaborate scam out to prey on the weak? For nearly 6 months my wife and I have been substantially overcharged for our plans. We were offered a free iPhone X (that we would not have been able to afford otherwise) for opening a new line. We have been charged not only the fee for the phone itself, but additional charges and late fees. We've visited the store, we've called customer service (several times) and allegedly had it resolved, they ensured it would be resolved. We've even called the grievance department--and had them "solve" our payment issue as well. However, again this month, the payments are now even higher. ATT is stealing money right out of our accounts from their own incompetence and repeated mistakes. We're not unhappy, we're furious. We're ashamed to be associated with AT&T and their dreadful ability to attend to their consumer's needs. When you have 3 kids, live on a very tight budget and are trying to use all your money to pay everyday expenses, these kinds of corporate "oversights" become overbearing. I'm certain we're not the only ones... I only wonder how many millions of people AT&T is stealing from that simply haven't noticed the discrepancy in their bills, a few dollars here, a few dollars there. We want to thank Jin Cho for helping us resolve an issue with our AT&T bill that we had been trying for months to resolve! In June we had called AT&T to place a vacation hold on our account. The representative gave us a confirmation number that the hold was in place. However, in actuality, it had not gone through. When we returned from vacation and received the two next bills, we were surprised to see we were charged the full monthly amount, as if we had been home using it! Jin Cho was able to understand our situation after reading through notes from our prior dozen calls for help. He was able to connect us to a person who actually was able to complete the process to have our over-payments reimbursed. We are so grateful for his help! read more

I had two iphone 10's I wanted to upgrade to 13Pro. AT&T sent out a guy by the name of Saad who was a nice enough guy. Saad told me that I would get a $ 700 trade in credit for each phone. Saad said don't let them change your plan as you are on the least expensive plan and you can still get the credit on that plan. Turns out Saad lied to be or was totally misinformed. AT&T will only give the credit if you change plans, and in my case that was $ 50 more a month - $600 more a year, that does not make sense. AT&T staff where either unable or unwilling to make it right even though I have been a customer for over 30 years. Do not commit to anything with AT&T for a future promise of a credit. read more

Terrible service! They lied to me about the numbers, campaigns and never solved any of my problems. The manager is not interested in literally anything! Every time is a horrible experience. They just tell me lies and constantly make excuses. I have to go there every month because of my billing problem and every time I go I spend at least 2 hours there. Damn that's awesome the only thing better than that was Best Buy $49 for the same phone. I ended up going to Target because I didn't know about the Best Buy deal until later and I didn't want to get killed there. The At&T Rep when I asked about price matching basically smiled in a mocking way saying they do not match prices with 3rd party stores. Well I got the last laugh because I paid that $35 restocking fee with pride and took my business elsewhere. Now he has to ship that phone back to the factory (assuming he doesn't re sell it as new). Really At&T? was it worth it? These deals may still be there. ALWAYS Shop at Best Buy, Target, RadioShack, Amazon, and maybe Costco and Walmart when Upgrading your phone. Just be patient sales go on all the time. On my previous upgrade 2 years ago, Best Buy sold the newest model Blackberries for $50, plus I got SECOND ONE FREE! I should have read the reviews before coming to this store but thankfully I walked out. As other customers have stated the service here is awful. I had a male representative. I should have got his name but I didn't. I'll describe him just so you know to stay away from him. He was a tall heavy set guy with black hair in a buzz cut. The worst manners ever. He sat there the whole time looking away and sighing like it was killing him to do his job. I am a healthcare worker and he kept trying to sell me on a company plan, I didn't want that plan. The plan would have slowed down my internet speed if i went over a certain amount of data. He also said that I had to purchase insurance with the phone. I told him online I didn't have to purchase insurance, that it was optional. He just kept saying well if you purchase it, you can cancel at any time. If i can cancel at anytime then why do i have to buy it? When I asked him to give me a breakdown of all the charges, he could not. Totally incompetent. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE AS OTHERS AND I AM SAYING. I walked out the store and glad i did because i would have probably got swindled if I had not. Sorry excuse for a store. I've had AT&T for the longest time and honestly I can't say enough good things about them. Over the phone customer service could be better but.... This store in particular has been the best and always willing to help me with AT&T related services and expertise. I was having trouble paying my bill, you know I'm one of those "old school" customers that usually likes sending in a check. I visited the store hoping they could help me out with a better option as I noticed most companies are no longer offering to take checks as payment. The representative helped me setup the MyAT&T app and my online profile so I could enroll into AutoPay and I even got a discount on my plan! I also didn't know AT&T has faster and cheaper internet here in IRVINE but I was able to save some money by leaving Cox and setting up a new AT&T TV bundle with FIBER internet which included a streaming box and cut my price in half. We were 2 months out from the end of our 2 yr family contract. Daughter's phone was jacked so we went in for upgrades and new contracts. We were told we had to wait 2 months or else pay full price for new phones. Who pays full price for New phones for a family of 4?! That would run over $2500! They said "sorry, there is nothing we can do for you" so we walked a few doors down to Verison and got hooked up with great phones, tons for free stuff (including tablets), and an awesome deal. Warning! This store is either filled with lying employees or dumb employees. You decide. On 3 separate occasions that I came here from April 2016 to May 2016, I received wrong information. Not sure if they are misinformed or just plain idiots. Just be prepared that whenever they pull up your account, you will be pitched on their latest offer on their NEXT plan. They will point out to you that you have an old grandfathered family plan paying about $190 with unlimited data but you can use their NEXT plan and pay $220 and get unlimited data as well if you sign up for another AT&T service. I live in a U-verse neighborhood but why bother using the existing underground pre-planned wiring in my house when I can sign up for Direct TV and have them mount a dish on my roof and run some wires through my house. Plus, I have to do extra work getting my Association to approve of the dish. Then when the internet goes down, they will point fingers and you will waste your time troubleshooting their mess. Plus they like to meter your usage. Cox is a little more expensive but very reliable. 3 visits and I got the same pitch spewed out to me whether I want it or not. My first visit was to swap out my SIM card for my phone (regular sim to nano). They claimed it was not possible since I had to buy a phone on NEXT to do this. I was told there is scam with people swapping out their sim card, then calling long distance. Didn't you just ID the information on my account and looked at my driver's license? After much debate, I got my sim card swapped out. Went home and popped it into my new Smartphone. The second visit was 2 weeks later to buy my spouse an iPhone SE. I was told that there is no way to purchase phone outright from AT&T and they no longer sell phones this way. I had to do it in installments and that requires them to run my credit. Huh? You mean the cash in my pocket which covers 100% of the cost of the unsubsidized phone is no good? That's correct. The guy pointed out that Apple was the manufacturer of the iPhone so I should go directly to Apple to buy the phone. Wow! I did not know this. A cell phone store that doesn't sell phones to people who want to pay for it 100% plus the eye opening fact that the iphone is made by Apple and they sell it directly to consumers. I place my order for the iphone on the apple website. The third visit was yesterday and I got some idiot gal who after going through the same NEXT plan direct TV garbage told me I had a grandfathered plan but in order to activate the iphone, I had to buy either a $30 or $50 data plan. I told her that I had great WI-FI at home from COX so all I need is the $20 plan (which is a monthly donation for at&t) but she said that plan doesn't exist anymore and she hasn't see it in a long time. Turns out she is wrong, the $20 plan is still offered on my grandfathered plan. read more

Despite the very low rating on Yelp, I decided to go into the store to take a look at the cost of ATT Uverse so I could compare it to what I am paying at Cox. When we got there everyone seemed so nice and friendly, and I even joked with the manager about their horrible reputation on Yelp. He said that if I had any issues just let him know and he would take care of it. Attempting to sign up for the service, they ran into some issues (no big deal) and I suggested we could just give them time to get things sorted out and they could call us if they needed anything. I never heard a peep for a few days so I followed up and the manager assured me they were working on it. A week passed, and I began to get conflicting information... I was told there were still problems, then I was told it would be installed and to expect a call, then I was told nothing... Every time I felt I made progress, no contact was made nor were any calls returned. I seriously started to wonder if Uverse was even real, or if I was the first person to actually subscribe and they had no idea what to do. Despite claims that the manager would make situations right if any arose, calls were not returned and I had about two weeks where I had no clue what was going on. They are quick to make promises, but as many have said before, they really struggle to follow through, and this is from getting the same failure to even return calls from the manager and 3 or 4 staff. Cox isn't the greatest either, but at least every time I have needed support, I have received it. I am happy paying $10 more a month to avoid frustration. On the good side, every time I drive past Woodbury I laugh to myself and wonder if Uverse is real, so there is that I guess... read more

Have you ever walked out of a cell phone store feeling ripped off? Well, I have. I went to this particular AT&T store to buy a screen protector for a Blackberry Bold. All they had was a "privacy screen," which protects the screen and blocks out anyone from viewing the phone when looked at from an angle. Fine. It's priced at $14.99, which felt a little steep for a piece of plastic you glue onto a cell phone screen but I went with it anyways. Went home, put it on. It's not great. The visibility of the screen has now gone down. But this isn't what irks me. I look on the back of the package - which is something I guess the manufacturer made into an AT&T branded package - and there's a sticker with the price, $14.99. But under it is the price that was printed onto the package itself and it says $9.99. WTF. So basicaly they hiked up the price by 50% over the original printed price. Why the deception AT&T? But it doesn't end at this store. It seems like a practice that's pervasive in their entire store network. At the Cerritos store, they had this plastic holster (http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/accessory-details/?q_categoryid=all&q_sku=sku3190219&q_manufacturer=blackberry&q_model=prod2980220) with yet another price sticker over the original marked at $29.99. The AT&T website says the holster is $19.99. Yet another 50% markup! There's something shady going on at this particular location, because I found the same holster at another AT&T store for $19.99. What's with the price variance from store to store? And you can get in online for $14.99 (http://shop.crackberry.com/mobi-products-holster/4A24A4336.htm). Oh yeah, AT&T is making a killing with this product alright. And another item they take you for is the charging pod for the Bold (http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/accessory-details/?q_categoryid=all&q_sku=sku3350221&q_manufacturer=blackberry&q_model=prod2980220). Listed at $29.99 on their website, I found the same item at Fry's for $19.99. Again, a 50% markup over competitive retailers. Beginning to see a pattern here? I never bought accessories for any phones at these corporate stores because they seemed overpriced. Sure, their tactic is to appear as if they're "hooking you up" with discounted accessories, but what they are really doing is selling you stuff at regular price (with plenty of margin built in) under the guise of giving you a "discount." It's a practice that consumers should recognize and not support because they getting away with daylight robbery. read more

They sold me an iPhone X (DEFECTIVE), and within the same day, they wanted $45 restocking fee to exchange it (even after they verified my phone had issues). They said they did "not want to get hit with a $45 fee, because the fee is at a store level". The manager took what felt like a full one minute to walk from the back of the store to the front where I was standing (normally a 10-second walk). He came to stand 1-inch from my face and said: "DONT YOU EVERR COME INTO MYY STORE AND RAISE YOUR VOICE WHEN I HAVE ANOTHER CUSTOMER IN HERE, YOU GOT THAT?" I replied, "listen, please help me, I paid a lot of money down today and the phone does not work". He said if you're not paying the $45 fee get out... then walked to the door and opened it for me... I said you're telling me to leave? I was asked to leave the store after 90-minutes of waiting. I did nothing wrong but practically BEGG for them to help me with my iPhone X. When the Security Officer saw that I was being asked to leave by the store manager, the security went to the store manager and told him, "hey this is a good guy, he's calm, and he has been waiting for a very long time". Security came to me and said "Sir, I am sorry, I don't even know what happened, I am sorry, I am sorry. Security is MORE CARING AND UNDERSTANDING than the manager about my phone issues. I paid $575 down payment, and am still paying monthly for 6 additional lines on my family plan- will be moving these to another provider, currently performing price comparisons. These KIDS are rude, I would never ever go here again, nor would I recommend family or friends to. WORST AND MOST EMBARRASSING EXPERIENCE- I have filed a report with atnt and will be pursuing this further to the full extent for how I was mistreated that day- I will never forget you all for letting me walk out of your store with nothing. You are not customer service people. You are all so mean, and you do not care about your customers. I was embarrassed, disrespected, talked-down to, and kicked out. Have you ever been impressed with the customer service at an AT&T store? This is a corporate owned store, so perhaps that is why the level of customer service and attention to the needs of the consumer is such a priority. Given that the economy is in the toilet, it makes sense that I was greeted upon entry and offered assistance immediately, by one of their very sharply dressed customer service representatives. I can tell AT&T has stepped up their game, and I admit I'm surprised. I mean, they are the one and only place for the IPhone service contract. I can't go a day without seeing someone diddling away on their IPhone, so really, do they have to go out of their way to provide that extra special touch for my AT&T store experience? I guess so. Our sharply dressed, and highly knowledgeable customer service rep was Keith. If you go to this location, see him. He will get you set up in no time. Basically I bought in installments a watch that I could of gotten for free since I got a NOTE 5 at the time. Be careful with this place, they will lie to you straight to your face! We were told we needed to add a $10/month tablet line in order to use the new data rollover plan, which was a lie. After we got back I log in to see my new plan, and realize they added a $30/month insurance plan that I didn't asked for. So I contacted AT&T online support and was told that I didn't need the $10/month tablet line and was able to remove for me within minutes. Had I not check, I would have been paying $40/month that I didn't need. This place needs to watch out how they treat their customer, lying and misleading, and adding services no one asked for is no way to run a reputable business. "WORST STORE MANAGER", "BAD CUSTOMER SATISFACTION" I was offered ATT fiber internet to my home when I visited ATT store in Woodbury Town Center (6328 Irvine Blvd #1500, Irvine, CA 92620). I was scheduled an installation date and the guy installed it and it worked for few hours. I went and returned by old internet service thinking that was it. Hours later ATT internet connection was disconnected and people on phone didnt know the reason. I went to store they said they will look into it and call me back. No return call. Next days were Saturday and Sunday. No help. I go back to them over the weekend and they say they still dont know why there is an issue, but should resolve on Monday. OK, I wait till Monday. Still no internet. Now store people say, let me create a new account and it may work. No help. I go back to them on Tuesday, they still dont have clue why I dont have internet. Now I go back to store asking to atleast give me an alternate until they resolve the issue on their side. The manager of that store is blunt and rude in saying "NO WE CANT HELP ANY FURTHER. we are calling customer care. the issue is ongoing and we cant help you more". How can a store manager is so blunt in replies? Is this the way you take care of someone who is without internet for 4 days because you sold him something which is not working? I asked him to provide atleast a wifi hotspot until the issue is resolved. For that the Josh, manager says, "I cant give you anything free. You need to pay for it and I can tell you the rates". Really? Am I asking for free or am I asking you give me a temporary fix for the problem you created? For every question I ask, Josh says, "Sorry, we are trying out best. We cant help any further". I didnt come to this store begging for free stuffs. I demand a good customer satisfaction. This guy is not fit to be an ATT store manager. Worst store in Irvine, CA. I have been having the text issue with my iphone for 2 months, and despite of numerous phone calls to the AT&T customer service line, no solution was provided. I stopped by the AT&T store tonight with my husband, and both Aime and John helped me troubleshoot the phone and identified the root cause right away. Aime is extremely knowledgeable, and performed the fix and testing very efficiently. Within minutes, the problem was solved, and I'm very thankful that I've talked to both John and Aime at this store. I highly recommend this store, friendly staff and knowledgeable technician, very helpful. read more

WORST store because they have AWFUL customer service. So please avoid this place unless you want the nightmare of dealing with AT&T customer service to straighten out what these agents did. Went in for a SIM card and walked out with a SIM card + combined bill with my moms internet service. Never asked for this, nor did the agent ask my permission to combine the bills!! I called the store manager and explained what happened, he said he would look into it and call me back. Never heard from him. Store manager and staff suck! So for the next two months my bill doubled and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Uggggh. Don't go here!!! read more

Wow! Trying to return two phones in 14 day window, but apparently couldn't be done in store--had to get labels but if mailed I'd miss the cutoff. So I'm stuck with two phones and I have ported back to T-Mobile! I would advise anyone to avoid AT&T they will scam you! read more

I don't like going into these black hole establishments. Always feel like there are sharks circling around you once you set foot in there even if you just want a simple answer to a single question. Every time I walk in there I feel like I'm gonna walk out with some new activation fee or mysterious tax added to my monthly bill. All I gotta say is ask for Enrique. This guy knows his sh*t and is not pushy or intimidating. I hope he gets promoted to management level so everyone can see what the purpose of these stores are all about. Customer service 101.
