My daughter dropped my phone in the swimming pool, and it was completely ruined. I went to the T-Mobile store with my federally issued passport card, but the store refused to accept it as valid identification. They instructed me to call customer service, saying that was the only way they could help me, but they did not offer to help me make the call--even though I obviously could not do so without a working phone. At that point, I assumed there had been a training issue, so I asked to speak with a manager. A man named Vincent came out, repeated the same response, and told me that if I had an issue, I could go to AT&T. He made no effort whatsoever to resolve my issue or find an alternative solution. I have been a loyal T-Mobile customer for more than 10 years, and this experience was extremely disappointing. The way I was treated has seriously made me reconsider whether I want to remain a T-Mobile customer. read more

This review is for the customer service received at this location. My husband went into the store to upgrade his phone and switch our family plan to T-mobile. He waited 15 minutes before he was seen by a sales rep. The next 1 hour and 30 minutes was all used up to cancel current provider contract, only to tell my husband they did not have the iPhone he wanted in stock. They are zero upfront about the waiting time and have zero sense to ask important questions, like, does our store even carry the iPhone you want before we waste 2 hours of your time. Harsh review? No, because unfortunately this happened twice at this location. Why am I, the wife who waited for my husband to get his upgraded phone, writing this review? Because he did not ask to see the manager or even point out to the sales rep - hey, maybe BEFORE you waste a customer's time, ask them what phone they are looking to upgrade. But maybe this is the game that is played - sales rep gets a confirmed contract setup, hence more commission, because be Damned the idea of a happy customer. This place is disgusting. read more

I've been a long time member with t-mobile. After moving to Irvine, I decided to upgrade my phone to an iPhone 12. I initially went to the TERRIBLE T-Mobile on Jeffrey road. Do NOT go to that one!!! The workers there were too lazy to register my new SIM card in my iPhone. I drove all the way to the Irvine spectrum T-Mobile store, which is a corporate store! T-Mobile had promised me to trade-in my used iPhone 11 for $500 with purchase of new iPhone 13. When I was in the store on 9/922, I specifically and repeatedly asked if my existing plan qualifies for such promotion. The answer from the sales rep whose name is Yohana, double checked and is "YES". Long story short, when I received my new monthly statement, it didn't show any credits to reduce my 24 months of equipment installment fees. I called T-Mobile via 611, the rep said I have to switch to Magenta plan from my legacy plan (select choice) enable to qualify for the $500 trade in. The rep said I have to go to the same store where I got my phone to resolve the issue. I then went to the store on 10/9/22 and spoke to Yohana, and they admitted that the mistake was on their end and they will honor me the credit. I was then promised that the store manager name Christine Lopez will call me back on 10/15/22 to credit me back, unfortunately that promise was never fulfilled. I emailed both the store manager (Christine) and the sales rep (Yohana) the next day, but until now still haven't heard anything back yet. I tried to call the store manager and now I'm on hold for more than 45 minutes already. Very disappointed. I'm going to keep calling and have them resolve this issue as they have promised. read more

I understand there's things employee at a store can and can't do vs calling 611 but what is "OK" supposed to do for me when i'm overpaying? I went to the Apple Store and got a new phone. One of their systems was down so I had to go to the mobile in order to get my phone activated. After a couple weeks I notice it isn't working amazing. Update the call I made on may 5th didn't resolve anything and the person over the phone falsely promised my refund would be processed when no such thing was even possible from their end. So I was in relief when I finally found someone who was able to help me with my return for my jump on demand. He was able to explain to me why the other store couldn't do my return and why the customer service rep from 611 said I'm still on jump on demand with my new device. Brian (his name tag said manager) explained everything to me. Even called customer service to try and get it figured out, but the rep said she couldn't close it only he could. After about over an hour Brian told me he would get in contact with whoever he needs to including the district manager to help close my previous device and to not return the device until I hear from him. He even gave me his business card with his cell phone written on it. Dedication. Right ?! WRONG! I texted him Monday thanking him for his help again and asked if there were any updates. He said it was day off so I let him enjoy his day off. I left it as is. Giving him 2 days to figure it out. I texted him Thursday and he blocked my number. So I called the store he works at and the lady said he would call me back in a few mins. It's been 3 hours. What kind of "manager" is this?! How the hell did he even get this title?! There are 3 people that gave me outstanding service, the first was Yohana, she went above and beyond while helping multiple people all to make sure I was well taken care of, next is Raphael, I had a long talk with him and he really makes it a great working environment for everyone there but also made sure to make me feel welcome and special as a customer, last but not least is Kynthia, she took the time to make sure I received everything I need before I need. read more

Worst experience I've had! The husband and I decided to switch to T-Mobile to save money on our bill. Went to the spectrum and there were two people ahead of us, someone came and check in the first couple, the other gentleman then us. We sat down and waited. Adrian finished helping someone then went to the person who ho was ahead of us and told him that there is an hour and a half wait and that they close at 9pm and to come back tomorrow. REALLY!!!! Why didn't the other worker tell us that? Why did he check in the other couple and start helping them then tell the guy ahead of us of the wait and all the other people waiting? Mind you it's was just us 3 that were checked in waiting! Then comes to us and tells us that there's an hour and a half wait and that there are a lot of other people walking around shopping waiting to be helped and that we need to come back tomorrow!!! I asked him why wasn't that told to us?!?! Obviously caught him off guard with that question. He couldn't even answer us, awful customer service. I will never go back, and to think we were going to bring over 5 phones, 2 Apple Watches and a iPad. I'm in customer service and I would never treat anyone the way we were treated today. Be honest and why are they taking names and numbers and allowing people to walk around? So people who are waiting for help get pushed out while others aren't waiting around to be helped! Amazing costumer service by Carlos! I have been a T-mobile costumer for 5 years. I went in to upgrade my iPhone 7 to the new iPhone 12 pro and Carlos made it super easy for me. He even helped me put on my screen protector. They have really cute phone cases as well. I'm happy I went in and received the best service. I'm really excited I finally upgraded and it was easy to do so. They are also following Covid guidelines and it was 6 feet apart. Made my visit safe. Going in to a mobile store is always hit or miss. You either get terrible service or good service. There is rarely an in between. However, today I received exceptionally great service. I went in to pre-order an iPhone mini and Massimo helped me out. Any customer facing business would be lucky to have a Massimo. He knew all his stuff and when he explained all the steps to me regarding my preorder, billing, trade-in, and up-front costs, I understood and felt comfortable with each step. I had a HORRIBLE experience with T-Mobile customer care and IT over the phone, but went in- store for help and Fabiola A. and Carlos P. came to the rescue. Fabiola went above and beyond trying to resolve the issues with my 2 brand new iPhone 12's and Carlos stayed to answer and address any concerns that I still had, no matter how many questions I asked. This store has a good team on the floor (Fabiola, Carlos & Josh) and I will definitely come back to this location for my next upgrade! read more

I just got home from my visit here and I'm just thoroughly frustrated. I have a Samsung Z Flip3 and the screen started separating today. Top half of the phone is white screen and unusable, and the bottom half is just constantly glitching out but just barely usable. When I got there, I told the person helping me (Rosaria?) that I needed a phone today, because I can't log into my work PC at home without it - I have to do a dual authorization in order to log in, and it sends the authorization to my mobile device. I told her I had the 360 Protection, and she suggested waiting until tomorrow to file my claim since I only just got the Protection Plan added recently, and it might look fishy. I said I don't care if they don't accept my claim, I just need a new phone today. She put my on the phone with the claims service and walked away to help someone else. I spent an hour and a half filing the claim. The T-Mobile rep in the store didn't help me at all. I didn't have my phone's information like IMEI # because I wasn't expecting to have to file the claim when I went in. I struggled through using my broken phone to gather this info for the rep on the phone, who was frustratingly difficult to understand. He was nice, but it just added to my stress over this whole thing. After the claim was filed, he said they'd ship me a new device. I said wait, I need a phone today, which is the entire reason I came into the store. He said that wasn't possible. I checked with a different rep in the store and he also said it wasn't possible, unless I upgraded my device. I didn't want to do that, I just wanted my same phone. Also I'm not at the stage where I CAN upgrade my device, so I'd have to pay even more for that. I'm just so frustrated. I told the first rep several times I needed a phone today. If that wasn't possible, she should have just said so. I would've just gone home and filed the claim online where it would have been FAR less frustrating and I would've had easier access to my information. To be left hanging was just infuriating. So I wasted 2 hours of my time just to do something I could've done at home, but in a more complicated way. Why the hell didn't she just tell me? Really terrible service. read more

This review is for Thursday, October 8th 2020. A little overdue, but I kept forgetting about it. I was at the Irvine Spectrum on the date mentioned above. I believe the store closed at 8 or 9 P.M. I'm not certain of the closing time, but I arrived at the store 10 minutes before closing time. The doors were wide open and a sign was posted blocking the entrance. I'm assuming for Covid purposes. Two men were inside making weird noises when I arrived. I was approached by one man about how he could help me. I mentioned how I was looking to upgrade my phone to which he quickly responded, "we're closed now, but come back tomorrow and we can help you." I was really disappointed. I wish I would have said something than and there, but I didn't. I actually attempted to call the store multiple times the following days, but no one answered. This was really unprofessional. The store was not closed. I'm just assuming they didn't want to help me because they just wanted to go home. I decided to upgrade my phone online through the T-Mobile website. Suffice to say, this was an incredibly easier experience, but took longer since I had to wait to shipping and delivery. I would recommend avoiding this store if you want an upgrade. And do not, I repeat.... DO NOT, under any circumstances arrive to this store before closing. They will turn you away. Even if the doors are still open. read more

Very poor coverage for Southern California. Constantly having issues with speaking to my spouse and we have no signal even at our house. Their contract locked us in because we traded our old phones in for a discount. Canceling the service caused us to pay the full price of the phone and loss of initial payment for setup. We ended up going with a different carrier which gave us a better discount and more coverage. read more

John the manager helped me in transitioning from another carrier; set up my plan, ordered my Iphone. Nino helped me set up the new phone and transferring data. Everyone at the store were helpful; always willing to help and address my concerns. I have called them a few times to ask questions and they are sincere in their desire to help. I had my previous carrier for many years and during that time, I dreaded going to their store, expecting that i will wait for a long time. I highly recommend seeing Nino at this store. He is a great guy with tremendous knowledge of the products and exceptional customer service!!! We had a very bad experience setting up our account with Verizon a couple of months ago. We dreaded to go to any wireless carrier stores after that experience. But Nino made it so simple and great for us. He took time to make us understand the services and promotions. He helped us port our lines from Verizon to T mobile without any inconvenience. It was so easy!! We haven't stopped raving about Nino to all our friends and family. We switched all 3 lines from Verizon to T mobile in a matter of minutes. We were in and out in an hour!! I ordered a booster for my phone on account of bad reception in my new apt. It was $25.00 which I get back when I return it. Asked it they had my new address which he assured me he did. Been 2 weeks and 4 phone calls to them and 2+ hours on the phone as of aug. 18th. They had the wrong unit number, so now they cancelled the order, waiting for it to come back to their office. This is a corporate store yet the employees can't stop but act in their own best interests and for their own incentives including the managers. The audacity to tell me that I can't cancel a line at a T-Mobile corporate store and I have to call a separate number?! But I can add one though right? I can add four if I want right? When I was 18, I was free and one of my first acts of freedom was to get a cell phone. After much research, I went with Sprint and stayed with them for a while until the iPhone stole me away to AT&T. We were at the Irvine Spectrum for dinner last night and since there was a very long wait, we decided to walk across and check out the new T-Mobile store to kill some time. At this moment, they have a great promotion - no annual contracts, an iPhone 5 for $99, and they'll buy your old iPhone and apply it toward the purchase and a bill credit. Woohoo. T-Mobile also offers everything unlimited and my cell phone bill would be a lot cheaper too. After about 5 minutes of deliberating and wondering if I should leave my trusty AT&T that provides awesome service, I decided to make the switch. Yay! What should have been a quick process (since I already know what phone I wanted, accessories, etc), turned out to be a 2 1/2 ordeal. Oy vey. The rep that helped us, Daniel, didn't even know what he was doing. While being helpful on the floor, he was absolutely clueless when it came time to looking up my AT&T account, seeing if I was eligible for the upgrade, how much my old phone would be worth, etc. We sat and waited while he tried various things, kept looking around for help, etc and meanwhile our dinner reservations expired. :( Finally, after calling over a manager, Pom, we were starting to get the process going. I almost cancelled yet I couldn't because the port process had already started and I had to wait it out. Due to their incompetence, I had to be assigned a temporary number for 24 hours and I couldn't sync anything back onto my phone because my device didn't recognize who I was. Boo! Brand new phone and I can't use it until it's all functioning. WTF?? If you're looking to make the switch, it's a fantastic deal (just do it at another store). All said and done, I only spent $20 and that was for an accessory I bought. My trade in covered the rest and got me a bill credit. read more

Upon determining they had what I wanted, I dragged myself over after a particularly harrowing Monday. Casey jumped in to help when I walked in and from there, it was smooth sailing. It helped I already knew what I wanted and how much it would be. Bonus points for Casey having the same phone I was going to buy. During our visit, everyone was very nice to the customers who came in except one guy who kind of frustrated one of the T MOBILE guys. Great experience...I felt it could have gone a little faster but that was our fault, not having our account information from previous carrier. I was going to get the iPhone 14 pro at this location. The gentleman that helped us was so rude and unprofessional. His name is Adrian. I have jump on demand on my phone and he insisted that he is by the book and will not let me jump because my phone number was not attached to my current phone. I told him I've been with TMobile for many years and had done this several times with no issues. He then raised his voice and said it is irrelevant and that he is by the book and he will need to check with his supervisor. Why do you need to argue and raise your voice with your customers? After he checked with his supervisor and was able to do it for me. At that point, I am not interested in getting my phone at this store! Clearly he is extremely unprofessional and I feel bad for the owner to have such employee. read more

We had a terrible previous service provider and they made it hard to do anything! Even at the end when the old provider ported the number to T-Mobile they released the wrong number! Stay away from this company! I recently switched from Verizon and was promised a trade in and free phone. The phone charge would be dropped from the bill in one or two months. I was lied to and now have a much higher bill and no longer have cell service in my home. Had perfect service with Verizon. I am now locked into a long contract with a higher bill and awful service. I wish I never switched from Verizon. DO not use T-Mobile as you will regret it. Customer service is useless. Awful company. Choose wisely. read more

Called TMobile customer service and they said I had to come into a retail store to transfer over a Sprint line over to my account (this was incorrect). I called the store to see if they could take care of this and the woman who answered said I would have to create a new account for the Sprint line and then merge that with my account so I would have a total of 3 lines. Not helpful at all and not true. Seems like she was just trying to get commission for opening a new line. Terrible customer service at this store. read more
