ABOVE AND BEYOND - ACT OF KINDNESS. Yesterday while working in Riverside, my cell phone died. I had recently purchased a new car that had a docking station, which wasn't working and so I had yet to purchase an actual car charger. My phone died, the docking station wasn't working, which left me frustrated since my client hadn't shown up for our appointment and I had no way to contact them. I stopped by a store hoping to buy the charger I needed (I didn't even know what to ask for because I don't know the various types of connection sizes), but unfortunately, they didn't have one available for sale. Instead of just sending me on my way, an employee came out to my car to check what type of charger would work. They ended up finding a used one in a drawer and generously offered it to me so I could use it. That simple act of kindness truly went above and beyond and restored a little of my faith in humanity. My husband and I went in to buy new phones and were pleasantly surprised there were adequate staff and they were all super friendly. Stephanie helped us with our purchase and really went out of her way to link our new phones. The last time we purchased phones we had to do it all ourselves (at a different location). We bought iPhones 17 pro max which is an upgrade from 13pro max and am very happy with my purchase. The value of my trade in for my old phone was excellent I will only pay $5/mo so I am very pleased and highly recommend this location and AT&T. read more

This company makes cancellations IMPOSSIBLE-- they do not accept equipment returns at their storefronts so you have to make a separate trip to a FEDEX or UPS. When you do cancel service before your next billing cycle they will try to charge you anyways. DO NOT LET THEM. GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND GET ANOTHER SERVICE. They're banking on you just paying them to get it over with. They are scammers and they'll never get another dime from me and I'll be sure to spread the word to everyone I know. We had been putting this off because t is always stressful getting a new phone. Laylah is calm and competent, and was patient with all of our questions even though she is more tech savvy with iphones, Laylah was able to listen, respond and help us with our tech needs. I called the store and told them what happened and they said "we have no control over that , we couldn't have added insurance" and made me call online customer support. Jose was the one that assisted me & my husband. When we walked in, he was the only one on duty at the time. Shortly after we walked in, a line started to form behind us, but it did not affect his customer service. He was extremely patient with the individual he was assisting prior to us, as well as with us. Jose was patient, courteous, and professional. He made buying a new phone an absolute breeze. We purchased a phone through this store. When the monthly bill came there were 3 extra lines on my bill with SIM cards for each. I went to the store and was told by the sales person to come back on Monday. I asked for a manager and was told they were busy. A manager (supposedly) came out but the sales person talked for her. I was finally asked to leave them my PIN number and social security number and someone would "look into it" the next day. I was able to resolve my issue via telephone and 2 hours with ATT corporate. This store was no help to resolve a fraud issue. I will not use their services again. read more

This place is the worst. I worked with Edgar who kept trying to push the next plan, which is a plan that charges customers for the value of the phone throughout the life of the contract. The problem with this plan is the fact that if your phone breaks, for whatever reason, you are still responsible for paying for the phone on a monthly basis...even if you get insurance, att has so many exclusions to the insurance policy that they may not cover the phone if it gets damaged. So, bottom line, you could end up paying for the phone that no longer works. He also tried to sell me on the $5 additional per month gimmick with an additional tablet, only to find out after calling customer care that I would actually be charged an additional $40 per month. Always call customer care to confirm that what the rep is telling you is valid before signing a contract. When I talked to the manager about these issues, he was complacent, rude, did not help me, and continued watching a soccer game. In addition to all this nonsense, while you are working with a rep, the other reps gang up on you and they feel the need to chime in with rude comments or input that have nothing to do with them. They really need to mind their own business. Don't go here...they're crooks and with a manager like the one they have, you will not get any support. read more

Disgusted at the deceptive business practices from this office. I was in just before Christmas to get a new telephone and the sales lady gave me a new Sim card for our WiFi portable unit and said the old one was out of date and It needed To be updated. I specifically said to her I am not being charged for this new Sim card correct and she said no it's just the old card is out of date and this one needs to be updated. After Receiving our phone bill, I see a new phone line attached to our bill and additional charges for something I did not order on our existing phone line that I did not order. I phoned AT&T who immediately canceled the new Sim card and phone line she insisted we needed and reversed the additional charges they attached to our existing phone !! 3.5 Stars. These mobile wireless stores can definitely be a hit or miss. Because of convenience, I stopped in this AT&T to open a new phone line. Upon entering I was promptly greeted and assist. When I asked about individual plan options, the sale associate gave me a brochure of all choices. Didn't really explain anything, but the plans are pretty self-explanatory. The sales associate was friendly and patient. And unlike other mobile stores I have been to, the associate knew what he was talking about in terms of the phones AT&T offers, how to import your old number to your new plan (because I was switching networks) and other technical questions I had. I came in on a Tuesday and there was about two other customers there. So thankfully I didn't have to wait or try to flag someone down. But I wonder how they assist their customers when it gets overly crowded.. read more

I recently upgraded my phone. I've been to both the Chicago Ave and Riverside Plaza stores several times and both have lousy customer service. When I upgraded my phone it took almost 2 hours because their Internet was down! There are a lot of hidden extra costs for upgrading your phone at ATT. At both stores I would advice any customer to analysis every line item on the receipt as well as your bill on line!! There were costs like insurance, apps, etc that I didn't order!!! They also couldn't transfer contacts from the SIM card to the new phone and I had to go back the next day to see if someone new there was capable of transferring my photos via Blue-tooth. They seriously need better training. And for a corporation that sells Internet, their own being down without a back up is not acceptable. I like my new phone, but both stores are an absolute joke from a customer service standpoint. read more

I wish I could give this store zero stars. Or negative stars. Or anything that represents how truly pathetic they are. We came to get an iPhone 6 plus that one of our local stores verified they had in stock. We also called prior to driving out here and they verified, on the phone, that they had it in stock. As soon as we got here the sale's boy immediately tried to get us to switch our plan around and told us they didn't have one in stock unless we changed our plan. When we informed him we did not want to change our plan they told us they suddenly didn't have any in stock and that the phone they told us they had in stock was actually on hold for someone else. The manager then came and tried to talk me into a 16gb iPhone because he had those in stock. Seriously was just handed a bunch of bull. So sick of their sales techniques and garbage. read more

Terrible dishonest service or at least incompetent . I believe they tried to scam me or boost their numbers by signing me up for a service called first net. Was presented as a free service because I was in healthcare. Did some kind of shenanigans with my SIM card. Later I get a bill for 140 dollars for a separate account and phone no. Had to call first net to cancel. All the while he was diddling with my phone the two girls in front are chatting it up running interference. Don't go here! read more

I went in to get an Apple Watch after my order being delayed. Tyqwuan Flennory helped me but I left the store with my account a total mess. He combined all my bills without my knowledge or consent and ruined my account and my promotional deal for buy one get one on the Apple Watches. He made all these changes without telling me. At&t leaves you on hold for hours at a time so there is no solution in sight meanwhile my bill went from $230 a month to $500. Ty is a horrible person for doing this without my knowledge or consent just so he could sell me a watch. I don't recommend going to this store at all. Everyone in this store is useless and lazy. On top of all of this he had left me waiting for so long while he spoke to a friend on the phone. This store needs to close or clean house. DON'T GO HERE. read more

To the female manager that was working on 10/28 in the afternoon you're so weird and unprofessional. I went in spent over 1k and I was able to get a free accessory as stated by the man helping me. She interrupted and with so much confidence and said "the promotion ended today" HOW CONVENIENT lol. So I called every store in my area including my friend who is a manager and they all told me this is an ongoing promotion. Funny how everyone knew this including her employee except for the MANAGER I can't imagine being such a hater. Then when I came in to pick up my pop socket she had the audacity to say "dang you really wanted that pop socket" WTH no you dum A$$ B, you must have really wanted that pop socket. I went to this store to upgrade, been a customer for over six years. Was told I could do the traditional upgrade and pay $200 plus tax up front for the phone or pay in installments over 20 months so we agreed to installments. Later found out on my bill we were charged $540 for the phone, not $200. Since then I have spoken to three different people at the 800 number and two in store with no resolution. Niko (the rep) even told us that he mislead us and was not fully aware of the program since it recently came out. I even signed up for uverse with a year contract that day and nobody will help. Already filed a complaint with the BBB. Besides that, the wait was way too long and was overall a horrible experience. I am canceling my services with them and never using them again. If Niko had been honest up front, it would have been much more appreciated. Glad they value customer service there. read more

I was upgrading my phone and the rep told me because I was upgrading that I would receive my accessories for free and I would only have to pay the taxes. He lied; instead, he charges me for the accessories and said they were the "taxes." When I found out and tried to return it, they refused to refund me for a screen protector because they said they couldn't return the phone. I told them I didn't even put on the screen protector and they said "Well, we are experts at putting these on." I replied that if I knew that I couldn't return it, I wouldn't have had them put it on. On top of that according to them, even if I had left it unopened, I couldn't have returned it. I talked to the manager, but he genuinely either didn't care or got angry when I said I was going to talk to the district manager. Overall, the service in-store was so terrible that I am switching providers. read more

AT&T U-verse is pretty awful. I am paying $200 a month for cable and internet and I can't play music streaming without it skipping constantly. It's completely frustrating. The bill is simply too high and I am sick of paying too much for terrible service. We pay AT&T $500 a month for all the "services" we use. It's just too much money and I am fed up. read more

AT&T you've gotta step it up, the in store experience is quite bad. I spent over 2 hours to get a phone, something that shouldn't have taken more than 15 minutes. There are lots of staff, usually more than customers yet none of them seem to be helping people. I had a nice sales rep and the sales manager was very helpful trying to get things squared away but in no way should have it taken so long. The common theme here is the lack of an efficient workflow, the process is absolutely ridiculous and makes for the worst customer experience possible. This is a top down corporate problem, it's probably no coincidence that other carriers are cutting into their market share. read more

I was greeted right at the door (no wait) and Nora helped me tremendously. She made the process of getting new services a joyful experience . She made sure the package I chose had the channels I wanted. I even got a visa gift card from AT&T for getting a combo-service. As I waited for my application to be process she offered me an iphone charger to charge my phone (my phone carrier is Sprint). Nora was very professional and if you want service ask for her. Once my phone contract is over, I will be switching to AT&T. read more

I was helped by Kim K. She set up my TV and Internet and she gave me a great deal. My wife and i had many questions and she answered them all and she was patient. We tried different plans to see which was best for us and she happily helped us. The manager was really cool as well. We got a discount for being an AT&T cell user and also for being a UCR student. I like their customer service. They took care of us very well and i will be coming back if i need anything else in the future. read more

Worst AT&T store ever! I went to the store on Monday and purchased a HTC one. They told me that they'll have to ordered it for me and that it'll ship within 24 hours! And two days gone by I checked the shipping status online and it still says "preparing to ship!" I specifically told the sales that I would only purchase it if they will ship it within 24 hours and she told me that it will. Worst customer service ever. Was signed up for an insurance plan on my account without my authorization. Spent over an hour with customer service to get the $30 charges removed from my bill. Called the store manager Paul to ask how this happened, he blamed it on a "glitch" and refused to investigate the situation any further. Agent, Kai G, who sold me the bundle package pushed several times for accessories to which I declined. She continued to push and insisted they were free with the bundle package. They were not and appeared on my bill for six months. In addition to the accessories, an iPad and multi-device protection package showed up on my bill. The iPad I found out was sold then "returned" the same day allowing her to add this device to my account and lock in the sale. To remove these items I was instructed by customer care to go back to the store (point of sale). I went to the store where the manager, Paul (email pp227c@att.com) refused service WHILE I had customer care on the line tying to explain what he needed to do to help correct the problem. He began yelling at me and had security escort my kids and I out of the store. Customer care was on the line and has opened a new case against the manager. I also traded in four phones as part of the buy out program. I received a letter in the mail that I did t qualify for the program because I didn't trade in a phone...I gave them FOUR phones one of them a 2-week old iPhone 6. The sales agent, Kai G, didn't register but one in the system and didn't complete the transaction in order for me to qualify for the buy back. Has anybody else had any similar experiences particularly with these agents or store? read more
