They had attempted to activate my previous phone for me as the new phone I just purchased and had delivered was damaged and wouldn't work properly. When trying to reactive the old phone, they mistakenly put in the activation date 2 days in the future instead of today as they were supposed to do. We walked back into the store 2 hours later to get the problem resolved and with NO CUSTOMERS in the store, the manager Chris announced that they weren't helping walk in customers and to go to another store, maybe I could get it fixed in 2 days. RIDICULOUS!!! When I walked in, he was sitting on a chair with no one in the store. He proudly showed me his badge so I couldn't mistake his name with another staff member. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE customer service, I suggest you choose another store to spend your money at! Or maybe even pick another cell service provider. Buyer beware!

Bowen, the sales rep who helped me, was very nice and extremely patient. Since he was there by himself, training a new hire, he had to deal With a couple of customers at the same time. There was an older lady who came in and not tech savvy, like me. He was so patient and kind to her-even showing her the parts of her phone. On top of that, he also had a good sense of humor. Staff: friendly and responsive Cost: about what I expect…read morefor a technical service and in a high cost / high wage area Service: I brought my phone in due to expanding battery to get a replacement. It had no operational issues at all, the only issue was that the screen had started to separate from the frame and they diagnosed it as a swollen battery. Phone is just shy of 2 years old, so no warranty but also plenty of life left so I opted for the battery replacement. I was told it was easy, no issues, come back in 1-2 hours. When I first picked up my phone, it worked completely fine for ~15 hours. However the next morning the screen just went dark mid-text and there was nothing I could do to get it on. I did manual power cycles etc, no response. I was pretty sure the phone was still on because it would heat & cool like it was processing. I returned and they made it clear if it was just a loose connection it would be free, but if it was another issue there'd be a charge. Turned out to just be a loose connection, no charge, and I picked it up a couple of hours later. Only this time, within 30 minutes of getting my phone back, it had frozen & rebooted 3 times. Fairly light usage - just Google Maps to navigate home during / to avoid traffic. I immediately turned back around and dropped the phone back off - was told it wasn't anything they did but they would try to diagnose it. The next day (Saturday) they never called me with an update and it was getting towards lunch so I called them, since they are closed Sunday and I didn't want to be without my phone for that long. They said they had run a stress test on it with no issue but shared nothing beyond that even when I tried asking for specifics about what the test is, how they knew it didn't reboot, etc. I picked it up, no charge. The phone worked for 5-6 hours and then had reboot issues. It stabilized and worked again for ~5-6 hours then had reboot issues. Throughout Sunday while they were closed, the phone froze and rebooted about every 30 minutes on average. I was so fed up and needed my phone to work and they were unwilling to deal with the issue. I ended up purchasing a new phone, but can't get a refund or even partial refund even though my phone worked fine before they opened it up and now is all but unusable. If this was a significant risk of the process, they should have stated that. I would have bought a new phone ($600) vs replacing the batter ($240). I am incredibly frustrated with everything about this process and won't use them again unless it's the most minor of repairs like cleaning a charging port. I won't let them open up another phone in the future that's for sure.

And I'm glad Lexi convinced me to just get a new phone instead of porting over my cheap old phone. I like my new Motorola G Power. So far, the service with Total Wireless is excellent. I get immediate text and email updates if any changes or important information. 8 made the switch from Verizon post paid to Total Wireless due to the savings, and thus far, my plan is excellent and I'm still getting 5G service as Total Wireless uses the same towers as Verizon. Once I got home, I put in a claim with my phone insurance through my provider (Xfinity Mobile), and they gave me an option to replace the phone for $99 or to get it fixed for free. Now, I've heard replacement screens can be not as good as the originals, but on the other hand, "free" just happens to be my favorite price--so I took a chance and put in for the repair. This Batteries Plus (B+) was the closest official repair shop in my area, so once I put in my claim, they sent me a link to schedule my appointment, and away I went. The Good: * Tons of appointment times available, and they were totally fine with me moving it up once my schedule cleared up. * Street and lot parking * Fantastic customer service by the three different gentlemen (sorry, I didn't get names). They were fast, reliable, and polite. I was in and out with the drop-off in less than 5 minutes. * Not only are they polite, but they're super fast and they had the parts in stock. They quoted me 1.5 hours, but it was done in less than one! * The screen seems as good as the original, and they claim they use only factory original Samsung parts for the repair. The Meh: * The website to make the claim kept wanting to send text message verifications. Well, if I'm putting in a phone claim then why would you assume I have access to it???? 0_o Not B+'s fault but just needed to vent that.
