I took a jet ski my brother gave me to have it looked at before taking it out on the water. My brother had this jet ski for many years and took good care of it, he just had it in his garage and hadn't started it in a few years. I take it to them and they had it for a 6 weeks and tell me they tested it and other than a new battery it was running great. BS, I took it out on the water soon after getting it back and it ran like SH_T!!! The manager lied to me and said they put it in a tank and tested it, no they didn't and they charged me several hundred dollars. There is no way it was tested by the way it ran when I got it back. Took it back again (they had it another 6 weeks) and then they rebuilt the carbs and it ran better, but not 100%. For the money I paid, I brought it back to them to have it run 100% correctly. They had it another 6 weeks (18 weeks total) and I didn't hear anything from them so I called and said it was ready. I asked how is it amazingly ready now that I called? He said it's been sitting around and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I came to pick it up and had two of their repair people (one was a dirty looking dude and the other was a chick with piercings all over her face) lie to me and try and BS me by saying the reason it was loosing power was the "governor" on the jet ski. I informed them that my jet ski does not have a governor on it and they shut up and had a stupid look on their faces because they just got caught in a lie. DO NOT TAKE YOUR JET SKI TO THESE LIARS!!!! When I found out GRD took over I was quick to take my Harley there after bending the rim. Drop it off was told would be looked at the next day then call geico. Well I wait a week and stop in, hasn't been touched. They do their inspection and call geico. Geico comes and writes the check. They wait to order my parts, parts come into the Harley dealer and they let the sit down there. Tell me they got an email stating there was a delay on the parts so I call Harley and ask a parts person I know a little bit what's up. She tells me the parts have been there for a week. Came in the day they were supposed to. Also the same day my service writer started vacation. After his return and yes he does deserve a break from it all like we all do, and a lot of yelling and cussing from me and months time I finally get my bike bike with a scratched up dash. Didn't bother with saying anything. They had their money. Fast forward to November. I call up talk to Clint ask for some prices, he gates back to me a couple days later after I called him to see what was up. Get my prices and talk to my father in law to help me get financing. We go up on a Friday do the paperwork, called on Saturday with an excellent finance rate. We go sign papers and go to an event for the day. I ordered a winch with the bike. On 11-10-18. With the understanding the mount would be in the following week. On the 16th it was ordered almost a week later. Well that turned into showing up on 11-27-18 once that paperwork was signed they had their money. Sales and finance were good to work with, but service and parts makes it where I won't go back unless it's warranty work. They did give oil and filter for the inconvenience. read more

I will recommend this place to people I hate. Got a bike repaired here. Customer service and service in general could not be worse. I'm not expecting to be pampered but at least show some concern for your work. I brought a bike in that was in very poor mechanical condition and looked like hell from the year it had spent parked on the street. After calling in for 3 consecutive weeks (and them promising to get back to me) I finally got acknowledged. When I went to pick the bike up, the guy tells me - "it'll be hard to start at first but use a lot of choke'. When asked why that was, he replied "that's the nature of the beast". I had just spent $700 to get it running and I'm told it'll be hard to start from now on? I brought the bike in on a trailer with cobwebs around the motor and frame. They were still there when I picked it up. I was not expecting it to be waxed and shined but c'mon - at least make it look like you made an effort. Lesson learned - If I broke down in front of their place on 301 I would pay to have it trucked somewhere else. read more

I'd give it a 0 stars if they would let me. Took my son's 4 wheeler in to get fixed, get a call that it will be ~$600 for the diagnostic, a new battery, a carb rebuild and labor. Get another call saying they can't rebuild, they have to replace the carb, which will be $275 for the part plus more labor . Well they are the ones who diagnosed it wrong so why should i pay for labor 2 times. We say don't worry about it, we will get a carb ourselves. Well they say ok, it $375 for the battery installation, battery, oil change and diagnostic. Oh wait. We didn't do any of that. I guess I can take that off too. But I'm going to have to charge you another $150 to put it back together or I can give it to you in pieces. Thought he meant the carb was in pieces. Nope, he gave it back to me as a frame with stuff just sitting on top, some in a box, some just waiting to fly away while I drive down the road. It is broken down so much that I don't even know where to start putting it back together. On top of it, he got a smart mouth attitude and said he could charge me to put it in a bag too if I'd like him too. Don't ever use these guys. My 4 yr old is now crying because his 4 wheeler is in worse condition then it was! Battery wasn't returned either. Both my father (a car mechanic), and my husband (who has been riding 4 wheelers since he was 3) checked the battery before we took it to them and it worked. Now we don't have one at all. I called to order parts, they said I have to drive a hour there to pay first before they would place the order, would not take a cc# over the phone, then I would have to drive back to pick up parts when they came in. THAT WILL NOT WORK FOR ME!! They didn't care if that was inconvenient for the customer, that was there new policy and that was that. I'm in the auto business and we would never treat a customer like that, peoples time is important and we service there needs. NOT HERE! This place is out to get you... I was their victim twice over. I bought a used jet ski from them and it kept cutting out on me my first trip out- brought it back to them and waited a month for them to "fix" it. I was once again out on the water and stranded. After getting towed in, I brought it back to Atlantic Cycle. They, then tried to blame me for not pushing the start button correctly!, for having the drain plugs out ( good trailoring procedure) and I told them I thought it was an issue with the fuel pump. Another three or so weeks later ( after many calls) I picked up my still broken jet ski to try again. Ended up selling it back to them at a huge loss to me! They then conceded on the fuel pump problem. I then bought a new one from them. Ran great for 2 yrs, until I brought it in for a recall problem. Just fix the throttle... Next thing I know the thing is breaking bolts left and right!!! Time and time again. After 1,000's of dollars in new parts and repairs (not done at atlantic cycle) my jet ski seems okay. Apparantly, Atlantic Cycle can't torque bolts back in the correct order and torque specifications as the manufacturer gives them in the repair orders. In conclusion, the entire place is a scam. stay away at all costs. read more

I hate to have to agree with the other reviews on Atlantic Cycle & Power, because I want to love this dealer because it's so close to home! Unfortunately they have always let me down. Recently I ordered parts and they boasted about giving me a military discount, which I am very grateful for (please don't think that I'm taking that for granted; it is truly appreciated) but research led me to find out that they (even with the discount) charged me more than MSRP on the part! Next time, I'll price hunt before I buy and most likely order parts online. My fiancé and I also went in there ready to purchase the two Honda Grom's that they had sitting on the floor. MSRP is $3199, plus a $125 destination charge. This is all clearly stated on Honda's website. Somehow they quoted me a price that would have allowed me to buy 3 Groms down in VA! I understand a dealer needs to make money, but price gouging and taking advantage of you customer is not the way to do it. I hate to not recommend a local company, but I can't. While polling local dealerships for the best price on the ATV I wanted, I tried Atlantic. What a terrible experience. From the salesman stating he didn't want to help me, to the sales manager defending him, lecturing me on protocol and informing me that my type of inquiry rarely generates any sales so it wasn't worth the time spent to give me a price. Bottom line is the ONLY important thing at Atlantic, they admittedly state they pick and choose customers based on whether they look like a sale, rather than help everyone. Absolutely unprofessional group with zero customer service. Drive a little to another dealer, you deserve better treatment. read more

i ordered a speed sensor for my road king on their site, supposedly they say they sent me an email saying it was on back order, which they never did. A month later after i already got the part from another seller on ebay i get a phone call saying my part is in.I tell them i dont need the part to cancel and give me a refund. The manager or owner or whatever he is Mike tells me he wont refund special order parts.So now not only did i have to eat the price of the part, these idiots think i'm going to drive from Connecticut to Maryland to pick up the speed sensor, cost me another $9 to have the part i no longer need shipped to my house. read more

I called these jokers looking for advice on where to get my cylinder bored out because they don't work on older jet skis. They don't work on older jet skis that are easier to fix and they can charge the same amount of money?????? Makes sense. Anyways, I call up and ask for a recommendation, and the guy ask the service techs where i should take my cylinder. They tell me to look online and fine someone, because that's the cheapest way to do it.. So my response is, well you don't send them out then do you, you must work on them in the shop? The kid says no, we send them out. So the shop dosen't want to refer me to anyone they do business with????? Like they would be giving up state secrets or something. I guess that would just be a good business model, to help out potential customers and their business partners. This isn't the first time these clowns haven't been helpful. The next time I need a new fuel filter that costs $24 in their store, just out of spite I'm going to order it online and wait the 5 days to have it delivered. I have been a customer with this dealer since 2007. I have had many issues with them from poor customer service to out right lies told to me. Recently while attempting to have my bike serviced I was told by the service manager that "I would be better off going to another store." Now that was by far the most unbelievable way to treat a customer. I have bought two bikes through them and brought four other sales to them as well. At this point all four of my friends have had multiple issues with this store and have never returned. I had my bike serviced last year for a recall issue and upon picking my bike up they had it sprayed down with lubrication, which I had asked them not to do since I have custom painted my bike flat black and it is horrible to get the material off flat paint. Also when I got my bike back to my house to clean it I removed my seat and found that someone had STOOD!!!! on my rear fender near the seat and slipped off scuffing my paint. I attempted to return the next morning and my bike broke down on the side of the road! I called and they said they would get a trailer down to haul it back to the dealer. Eventually an older gentleman showed up with a pick up truck with no lift gate to load a 600 + lb bike. Once we got it in the truck he only had one strap which he then attempted to strap right over my custom painted tank! Needless to say I was pissed. When we got back to the shop I got horrible attitude from the mechanic. We found out that when they replaced the fuel lines for the recall they never secured them together (snapped them into place) and the bike basically shut down. This whole event took place over a 6hr time frame and was concluded with a half hearted sorry man things happen. This was only ONE of the MANY unprofessional events that I have dealt with. At this point I will NEVER go back to this store and as I ride with many many metric bikes I will continue to warn against any attempts to bring business into this sad excuse for a store. The service dept manager as well as the store manager are the most unprofessional people I have had the displeasure of dealing with in a very long time. I would warn anyone against dealing with this place, because after they roll out the red carpet treatment to get you to purchase their products they will destroy you later. Trust me it is not worth the heartache. Their are dozens of us that are now forced to travel distances to deal with other stores. This one is independently owned and maybe that is why they have zero accountability. I am VERY unhappy with this place and I sincerely hope this helps save people a ton of misery. Don't let them work on your bike. There is more professionalism at a high school votech. The desk kid doesn't know what he's doing, the service manager is a joke, and they do crap work. I had my throttle cables replaced and now my throttle is loose. I had my brakes done and now both front and back squeal. I dropped off a travel trunk to have installed and they couldn't figure out how so they gave it back to me with scratches ( it took me 20 minutes to install). They told me my petcock was leaking in every position and I couldn't drive it until it was fixed and it would be another week. I told them NO and 3 months later it still hasn't leaked a drop. SCAM!!! THEY EVEN SCRATCHED MY GAS TANK . The only thing they did right was install a new battery but then again my 7 year old could do that. If you go there after reading this, DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU. So, my son has a 2007 R1 that started shaking, "losing power" and making loud rattling noises. So he shuts it off and it work turn over again afterwards. This was after replacing the clutch. So when I looked at it and tried to start it it would not turn over but it seemed to "want to" just didn't budge at all. We looked at as many possibilities as we could then he decided to take it to Atlantic for a diagnosis. Worst mistake ever... Hands down! They told us it would cost $110.00 to get it diagnosed and we said ok. (Should have known something was up when I asked if I get the bike fixed there would they take the $110 off of the repair bill and they said no.) So we thought at least we would know if the engine was seized or not. They said they would be able to tell us exactly what was wrong (it was worth $110.00 to us). After 2-days we get the call telling us the #4 connecting rod bearing was loose and may have spun or "top end damage" causing motor lock-up (which one or both?). In order to find out they would have to tear it down further and it would cost an additional $600 for that (what was the $110 for?). It was suggested by who I thought was the service manager (that might be named Mike but I'm not sure so don't count on it) that we may want to look into getting a motor from eBay and they could put it in for about $500. I wasn't too upset because I was still figuring these guys were straight. So they were also kind enough to offer an alternative in the form of maybe buying the bike from us. It was said that the mechanic could, since he worked there, get a rebuild done a lot cheaper and he may be interested in buying the bike. Hold on now... So after looking around and pricing the used motors it was decided that we need to slow down and just think for a minute. Atlantic called to offer us $1500 for the Bike (2007 w/11171mi.)! So we were thinking about what to do and then my son said no on the sale and I told him if he got the motor we could put it in (Did I mention I was an automotive mechanic? Of course not since I was embarrassed that I really trusted this place to do the right thing and I believed them instead of questioning. I was never the type that padded my work and it was one of the reasons for the career change aside from customers that didn't want to pay.). So I go and get the bike. I paid the $110 DIAGNOSTIC fee and went outside to get ready to load the bike. If I wasn't thinking something was up before now I sure did after they brought the bike out. He rolled the bike to just outside the gate, dropped the kick stand, turned around and walked off. Even if you have liability issues with helping to load the bike this still seemed strange. You didn't even stay and watch. It was like I want to hurry up and get back in to my shop and out of sight (that was how I felt). That was when the left over pieces of mechanic surfaced because I smelled fish (probably a snakehead). So after I got the bike home and under the assumption from my expert technical diagnosis from Atlantic I decided to start pulling the engine apart in frame. Generator, nothing wrong. Clutch, nothing wrong. Not even a loose #4 connecting rod as stated in the diagnosis. Timing cover, nothing visible with the chain or followers. Now I'm scratching my head. Hit the starter again and it seemed to want to turn over but no movement. So, still working from the "PULLED CLUTCH COVER OFF AND ENOUGH TO SEE CYL 4 CONNECTING ROD WAS LOOSE. POSSIBLE BEARING MALFUNCTION OR TOP END DAMAGE CAUSING MOTOR LOCK-UP" diagnosis. I pulled the oil sump and looked at the rods and mains, still good. Then I finally did what I should've done in the first place. I put a wrench on the crank bolt and check to see if it was really "locked-up". That's right, it turned right over with no problem. So what was it then? I ordered a new starter because it was NOW the simplest thing to do and you guessed it. Cranked right over with no problem (did not start because I need new gaskets and need to put the engine back together. I can take the hit for not being smarter. For relying on what I thought was an ok dealership. For even paying for an F'd up or no effort diagnosis. What is making me write this note is the fact that they really tried do what seemed to me to be stealing the bike. I wonder if the owner knows what goes on here. I'm am 100% sure I would not recommend this place to anyone. The original problem stated at the beginning could have been from the starter internals failing. GP read more
