Best experience ever! These guys are easy, non-judgemental and super reasonable, my only complaint is that they don't offer other services... I would use them for everything. I'm cleaning up the family house in Santa Cruz and find 30+ years of neglect in the attic, rat droppings, and debris from a very messy re-roofing some years back. Needless to say it was embarrassing and although I'm a hard core DIYer I had to draw the line on that. I call a local guy recommended by my exterminator and he basically gave me a judgemental... "Its pretty bad up there" and a quote almost twice what I ended up paying with Attic Masters. After that first quote, I turned to Yelp for advice and found the great ratings for Attic Masters. I have to say I held off a little on calling them because their location is a little vague but rest assured they do service Santa Cruz and the rest of the South Bay as far as I can tell. When I did get around to calling they gave me a quote over the phone and almost immediately followed up with an email copy of the quote.... Super nice and easy! They confirmed the day before and the PM called about 30 minutes before they arrived. This is where it gets really great.. When they get there they're all really nice super polite guys. The PM (I think his name is Jonathan) asses the site, sticks his head in the attic and says OK lets go to work. No judgement, no extra costs just a bit of an overview of what my expectations are and they were off. They had one guy up there rolling up the old insulation before they even got fully unloaded. Like others said they sealed off their work area in the house and even chose a smaller access opening to minimize traffic in the house. They worked fast and left me an empty clean not-smelly attic... Just what I asked for. As a bonus they even went around the attic and filled all the entrances that rats could get into and even though I though I had closed things up pretty well they found quite a few I missed. These guys were great, they deal with the stuff nobody really wants to and they do it with a pleasant attitude and professionalism. Kudos to them and whoever runs this operation... I called this place and a bunch of others before finally deciding to go with this company. Prices were more reasonable for the same type of batting insulation, R 30. Got an appointment to have the attic insulated on Sunday, which was great since it was impossible to do it during the week. They came and set everything up, putting plastic over the floors and vacuuming afterwards. Originally planned on getting my vents cleaned, but after viewing ours, the guy said it wasn't up to code. It costs a small bundle to get all our vents redone but in the meantime, we'll wait and get them installed at a later time since it's not necessary at the moment. Insulation didn't take very long, however afterwards I could feel the house was much warmer and the heater didn't turn on as much as it used to. Great company to work with. I was very impressed from start to finish. They did a very good job replacing our Attic Insulation. The job took a full day and was pretty nasty to begin with. AM arrived at 9AM and made sure to protect our floors and furniture before the began the insulation removal. They also rat proofed and sanitized the entire attic. My attic was just horrendous before I called Attic Masters. Gave them a call and they came out the next day to give me an estimate. I agreed to their pricing and they started that day. My attic was just terrible, we had critters up there at one point and there was hardly any insulation left. The started working on the attic, first with cleaning the attic and then with insulation replacement, removing the old and replacing with some new one. The old one was there for a long time, since we bought the house almost 20 years ago. They cleaned up the droppings of critters and sanitized down the area before putting the new insulation in. I received expert service from AtticMasters who also gave me the lowest estimate for my furnace work. Reuben and Pedro came out to perform the work to replace the existing ducts and add a new duct. They were professional, arrived as scheduled and definitely experts at their craft. I wish I had taken before pictures as Reuben and Pedro replaced the new ducts and hung the new ducts, taking them off the ground (the replaced ducts were just laying on the floor). My crawl space needed a really good cleaning, in prep for encapsulation. There was trash all over, vents were all broken, and rats had gotten in. My little attic also needed insulation, as it was completely uninsulated. Total disaster. Ruben and Julio are awesome. They arrived right on time, with a positive attitude and all the right tools. They made sure to protect the floor with thick plastic, from the door to the crawlspace to the hall bathroom. It's good to see that the company cares about the employees' safety; they had full suits and respirators to protect them. They cleaned a dozen of bags of trash and vacuumed up all the rat droppings/teeth/ew with a huge vacuum. Every single vent has been wired shut securely, with really good mesh. We live in an older style home and previously had a very bad rat infestation. I needed my entire attic to be cleaned out and sanitized. AM made it very easy for us to schedule the whole job. The name says it all. We (me and the hubz) were very pleased with the service we received from AM. We needed old insulation removed and did not want to pay an arm and a leg so I decided to get some quotes before I proceed with the task. The quote from AM was very presentable and very detailed . The "Estimator" seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. I felt comfortable with them. The attic cleaning took a full day and it was very thorough service I even went up to inspect once the crew were done with the cleaning. The next day the installers returned to blow in R30 Cellulose insulation. The insulation is pretty dusty however everything was contained and this was a dustless process. Quote sounds good so I booked an appointment for a decontamination, insulation replacement (R38), and attic fan installation. I received a call 30 minutes before their arrival for a heads up. Wow that's all I can say about this company I've been using contractors for a long time but seldom run across such a professional company. I mean what do you expect from an attic cleaning company right? Wrong these guys are very professional and thorough. This review is long overdue and wanted to wait for results during summer and winter. I hired Evergreen Attic after 4 quotes from different highly recommended companies but Evergreen came out on top with price, materials and their approach as well as schedule. Had the insulation done in July during the high heat summer. I had it done due to the loss of AC and high cost of running the ac as well as to remove the garbage left by the roofing company. Anyways to make this review short and sweet, the overall removal, placement and replacement of insulation, ducts and sealing all the gaps and spaces made a big difference. We usually have spiders and insects come in to the house through the ceilings but not anymore after the crew filled all the gaps and made it rodent and insect proof. In addition to the materials they also installed a free attic fan that met their promo due to my square footage. I turned on less of my AC during summer and now with 34-36 degrees temps I use less of my heater since it helped keep the heat in the house. Please see my pics how clean and nice the work was. Oh BTW they do follow COVID distancing and mask wearing and the crew did a very clean work, always placing plastic on the floors and made sure there are no remnants of the old insulation on the floor or the closets where the attic entrance was. I heard about Attic Masters via word of mouth and saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I had multiple issues with my attic, being it an older home the insulation wasn't as effective anymore and that it needed to be redone and also the attic needed to be cleaned up. They cleaned up my attic first. And then the installation of insulation began. We had an unusual problem in our attic. Two years ago we did a kitchen remodel that included installing a new stove with an overhead vent hood that was supposed to be ducted through the roof. Well, apparently the ducting separated from the roof connection and for two years we were blowing kitchen smoke and grease into the attic. It wasn't until we heard the rats we knew something was up. Quick inspection showed greasy insulation, rodent damage and a fire hazard. So, we asked around and got a recommendation for Attic Masters Surprisingly, we were able to get ballpark estimate during the first telephone call, which was followed up by an email estimate that afternoon along our choice of days to have the work done the following week. Already pretty impressive. Ruben was the project leader - he showed up on time witha two man crew and they went to work. Old greasy insulation out. New insulation blown in. Well, I too was taken by all the 5 star reviews! The company has been very responsive up until the day the tech was to show up for our scheduled appointment. The office called two days prior to ask if they could move my 2 hour window to earlier that morning, I agreed. So, off I went to hurry to get my kid to school and rush back In time for the appointment. I actually called the office at 8:30 (left message) to get an ETA, no call back. Well, my 2 hour window was between 9-11 and at 11:30 i called the office to see where my tech was and why I hadn't received a call (at least) stating he was running late. The person on the other end of the line insisted the tech would call me back...still waiting...nope, done! Attic Masters did a wonderful job on insulation in our attic. We had some complications about the attic and they quickly arranged to have someone (Ruben) come out, look at the job and give a quote. Ruben was very professional, explained the choices in a non-pushy way and I was sent a quote via email that same day. We easily agreed on an installation date and Ruben with his team arrived on time and got right to work. I appreciated that they were very good about trying to keep the house clean, laying down paper/plastic wherever they would be walking - and since this was a 2 day job, at the end of day 1 they removed all this paper/plastic so we would not be inconvenienced that evening, then reinstalled it again the next day. They also recommended some additional work on the ducts which were 40 years old and in need of new insulation too. Again I got the quote for this additional work via email within hours.
