I did not know what Attiki was until I got here. It wasn't something I wanted to be around since I don't like the smell. But I endured it for the food. I ordered the gryo lamb plate. The lamb was delicately seasoned and the portions were plentiful. This filled me up and I would order take out next time. read more

Babaganoush is superb. Gyro was solid. But discovering hookah for the first time was extraordinary. Our server was fantastic and talked us thru the whole process. Wife chose an apricot, peach and vanilla blend. Wow! Split an appetizer and meal with the wife, we each had a drink and our hookah that lasted a solid hour and half. Bill was right at $75 with a 20% service charge automatically included. Turned out to be a favorite nighttime hangout spot in the quarter this past trip. There are a few types of restaurants in New Orleans. Some earn your business with great food and service. Others just want to get you drunk and feed you garbage. And then there are the ones that have no business being open. Attiki Bar and Grill is firmly in that last group. We walked in with a large party and the place was completely empty, which should be the easiest win a restaurant can ask for. Instead, we stood at the front like idiots waiting for someone to acknowledge us. The bartender was sitting at the end of the bar smoking, and the waitstaff was glued to their phones at a table like they were customers. Not one person bothered to get up. When someone finally decided to do their job, they had to go "check" if they could seat us. Then it took forever to drag a couple of tables together, all while acting like we were asking them for a favor. The place itself is a complete dump. The plates and silverware were filthy, which tells you everything you need to know about what's going on in the kitchen. We didn't stay. No chance. If your options are Attiki or McDonald's, go to McDonald's and don't think twice. read more

If you need a place to take a break from whatever it is you are doing, this is a good spot. We passed by and made a mental note to go when we had enough of the wild side! Nee was excellent in recommending flavors and drinks. She was friendly and attentive. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was chill. Music was great to go with the hookah vibe. Came around 9 on a Friday night and within the next hour the crowd started to pour in but it's not one of those places where people just continuously walk in and out so you're able to enjoy yourself and company without the chaos. Can no longer recommend this place! Really bummed because whenever we come to Nola we crave coming here. It's a must. It was the first stop. I even asked in the Yelp questions as you can clearly, see if my son could eat here and was told by the owner we can. Also have a friend who is the manager who reiterated what the Owner said but we were denied service because the worker did not want my son in there. We don't even care to do hookah or not. We all just wanted to eat here. It's 4pm. Not even dark outside yet. Also have family coming in a few months and wil have to rescind my recommendation :( read more

We absolutely LOVE to eat here! The food, the service, and the ambiance is a 100/10. Im not lying when I saw they have the best Caesar salad we've ever had. We crave it weekly lol. A nice place to grab food, drinks, and hookah. Staff greeted our group right as we walked in and cleaned off their coffee table and couches so we could be seated right away. Apart from the hookah we ordered drinks and food. The flavorings of the hookah itself were very mild & we couldn't really taste the watermelon or blueberry flavor but it was a minor thing we chose to over look because the atmosphere of place was very relaxing. The food and drinks did take quite a while to come and we constantly had to search for our waiter but again, there wasn't much of a rush on our end. Cute little pub bar that hidden on a side street when we went it was not full at all. The bartender was nice and recommended a few draft beers. However, we were asking about cocktails I do know that they were hosting like a seafood boil so it did smell a little weird when we went, but I went back again and it was actually fine. It's a Irish pub I'm not sure if they have food daily but the drinks were actually kind of pricey for a pub price, but maybe because of the location. read more

My little sis and i came in to get out of the heat and enjoy some hookah and drinks and man am i glad we came here. Our waitress, Sarah, was great and never allowed our cups to get empty. She ensured our hookah was operating the entire time and we never were out of coals. The place wasn't to packed either and not to loud for us to converse. read more

While walking around we came across Attiki because we liked the music we heard. We decided to stop in once we saw they also had hookah. The vibe was nice and chill. The drinks were also really good! Sweet yet strong. The hookah was okay. I'll say it was a bit strong for us but our server was great and changed our coals to smaller ones, so that helped elevate the problem some. Overall, a great place for hookah and drinks and to enjoy some R&B and HipHop music. read more

The 90's R&B vibe did not disappoint!! We went everyday during our trip and our waitress Jasmine was incredible !!! She made the experience 10x better for her and I hope to have her again our next time there . We enjoyed the hookah , food and atmosphere. I wish they had one in Houston, Texas we would definitely be regulars! This is a go to even if you don't smoke hookah .. the music .. food and vibes are worth it . read more

Very cool vibe and atmosphere. Come here for a low key evening with good friends. Blow hookah (strawberry watermelon was cool) and watch a game or laugh with friends! They played r&b in the background to really set an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. The service was a bit slow though. Also, they gave us water in plastic cups, but they gave other customers water in glass cups. Don't know what that was about... I ordered the strawberry basil lemonade, and it didn't taste like alcohol. So, either mine was virgin or it's a pretty light drink. The cocktails are reasonably priced. My lemonade was $8 (again, assuming and hoping there was alcohol in it). The hookah was cool. I haven't blown hookah in years, so I'm not the best judge of that. However, I can breakdown the pricing. So, hookah is $25 for certain flavors, and they charge extra to add ice, milk and mint. I added ice but I have no idea how it changed the experience. Anyways, the surprising part is that they charge 20% gratuity to all hookah orders. I'm not sure if that's customary since I don't do this regularly, but I thought it was odd. Lastly, food. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. It was $7 and exactly what you expect to get for $7. It's was alright, nothing nice, but filling. But from what they gave me, I don't advice ordering an entree. Great food. It's mainly a hookah bar but also serves some pretty good Mediterranean food. I was the oldest person in this place which is getting more common nowadays...anyway I digress. I sat at the bar, service was OK, if a little lackluster when ordering. Food came out quickly which I appreciate. Music is loud (as should be when partaking of hookah) so not a place for conversation but they did have a few tables outside. Every place was packed at 7:30 pm for dinner, long lines etc. so if you find yourself in the same situation in the Quarter, give this place a try. read more

I went for hookah, but once I saw the menu I had to order the paella. The paella was a decent size serving, enough for 2 people... lots of seafood (calamari, shrimp, crawfish, scallops, mussels) but it was very salty and it had a very strong seafood flavor and smell (very off putting). I took the leftovers home and my house smelled like seafood for 2 days. The menu is very diverse and there are so many choices. I also like that the menu listed recommended wine pair for the entrees. The Cocktails were good as well. I ordered a Lychee-tini and I was impressed, not too sweet! Hookah was great, we didn't added ice or milk. The hookah was strong but not overpowering. The restaurant offered proper social distancing and the doors were open for good air flow. When I left I didn't smell like smoke or hookah which was great. Customer service was great as well. The employees were very friendly and nice. Atmosphere was very chill and laid back. I'll definitely will be returning to this place. read more

While visiting NOLA we stumbled upon Attiki, it's off the beaten path and seems to be a more local hang out. I made reservations for 9:15, the place was packed. Having never smoked hooka we didn't know what to expect. Our waitress and bouncer were very friendly and helpful. You choose three flavors, cooled or not and we choose a moscato wine to chill it. We sat for 2 hours smoking, eating the best cheese and cracker platter and having a few drinks. It's worth the experience, the cost is only $20 and the staff is phenomenal. Highly recommend, I'd go back in a heart beat for the atmosphere and hooka. read more

The food was delicious and definitely hit the spot. While I was there, I heard music and realized there was a lounge upstairs. I decided to check it out, and my first thought was, "I wish I had found this place on Friday when I arrived." The vibe was amazing. Gabby, the bartender, was incredibly sweet and welcoming. I ordered a hookah and a drink, and both were a 10/10. I was genuinely having a great time. Then everything changed. I witnessed an older Hispanic man speaking to a young woman in a way that was incredibly disrespectful after she came out of a room toward the back of the lounge. Watching that interaction was uncomfortable enough. Then, while carrying trash through the lounge, he bumped into another customer and yelled, "Move, n**ga!" The room seemed to stop. As the mother of two African American sons, that moment broke my heart. I immediately stopped seeing things through the eyes of a customer and started seeing them through the eyes of a mother. I thought about my boys and the world they have to navigate every day. No one should be spoken to with that kind of hate or disrespect. It's heartbreaking because my experience had been perfect up until that moment. The service from Gabby was exceptional, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. But witnessing behavior like that erased every good feeling I had walking into the lounge. This review is **not about Melba's**. My food experience there was wonderful. This is about what I experienced in the lounge upstairs. I hope management takes incidents like this seriously because no guest or employee should ever have to witness language or behavior that makes people feel devalued or unsafe. Sadly, because of what I witnessed, I won't be returning to the lounge.

They were fabulous performers. The staff was fun and friendly, it wasn't really their fault with the problems that follow. The bad: For noon reservations for drag brunch, they were not ready at all. It was $35 a person for the reservation. It seems a bit steep, however the show was good. When I say they weren't ready, they really were on a struggle bus. We had a couple cocktails and I believe every one else had the $25 bottomless mimosas. However, they didn't have the champagne in stock so many people had to wait for a drink. And once they for them, it was hard to keep their glasses full with the lack of staff. We ordered food and it took FOREVER! I mean, we almost left because all we had in our stomach was coffee from the morning and a couple cocktails. Let me remind you that our reservation was for noon. We did not get our food until 2:30. I was getting quite nauseated. I ordered the chicken and French toast, I asked for no maple syrup but it was doused in it. It was ok. I ate the chicken. TL:DR- cocktails were good, the show was good. They needed more staff and the food was meh. EDIT: Our credit cards were charged and the money refunded and additional charges were placed on our card.

Tonic with lime for me (I'm behaving rn) and an Old Fashioned for wifey. Killer. We skipped the appetizer course and ended up ordering off the specials menu for both meals. She got braised brisket with deviled egg potato salad (fantastic!) and I got grilled Amberjack with roasted Brussels, topped with pickled peppers, onion, capers, and a drizzle of olive oil and Crema. Did I mention this place has a rustic atmosphere, and cozy feel, AND a Michelin recco without a dress code required?!? We had Lemon Buttermilk Icebox pie for dessert... MY GODS. If I could give no stars I would. The waitress was sweet, but slow. She never offered to refill our wine. The hummus was delicious. The rice was plain. The beef was tough enough to last the winter on the feet of a Appalachian mountain climber. What really made this a bad experience was the owner. When I was asked how my food was I was honest, and he acted pissed off! No one removed my unwanted leather, and I wasn't offered anything more. They took the beef off our bill, but given the option I would've paid and had chicken instead. read more
